I don’t use reddit very much, but I absolutely love r/namenerds. it’s the subreddit of all time. some lady on there wants to name her daughter Jocasta
#they all really love Greek and Roman names but they can never be bothered to google any of them#so you get these posts where people are like “omg Caligula is sooooo cute!!!”#also they’re always telling each other to name their kids after historical figures but then they claim that said historical figures are#problematic or evil or both#and it’s like yeah they’re Roman emperors?????#sometimes someone will be like “I’m gonna name my baby Marcus Aurelius 💕😊”#and then all of the commenters will be like “actually Marcus Aurelius did some problematic stuff” which YEAH OBVIOUSLY??#AGAIN.
