HEY i LOVE timie's design and the little details. I was curious about how the monsterification sorta works? Since they developed kokiri-esque spots from growing up in the forest, but different monster features when they lingered too long in the other forest? Was there different types of magic in the kokiri vs termina forest that caused that

OKAY, so my last post I shouldn't of said growing up, that makes it sound like it happened over time, it didn't. When their mom ran into the woods for protection both her and (well...actually funny thing Timie was never named, and Link isn't their name either) her super unnamed baby were both turning into plants. She turned into a tree in the end but good news it wasn't too late for that baby! Timie's spots are a ramification of almost becoming a FLOWER of all things, their spots are like the kokiri's but are longer and more like stripes here

Now, the funny thing about going deep in the woods, it's all the same forest. It's not that there is a forest in hyrule and a forest in termina, its all the same lost woods in the end. But there is something about the deeper parts of the forest that scares everything to begin with.

The deep woods is Farore's territory, it's where the threads of reality start to unravel, where the top of the trees are obscured by clouds and the mist never fades down no matter what time of day, in the deep woods it is only day or night with no inbetween, it is here where spirits with the ichor of madness dwell, they are Farore's older children.

Sure no human is allowed in the lost woods, but in the deep woods no one may enter. No monster or kokiri is safe wandering amongst the trees.

The lost woods turns people into what is inside of them, what's in their heart. Timie is just lucky Majora caught them as they were because they could of been far worse if left alone to wander.
