my entire childhood, my older brothers kept telling me to shut up about my interests, so i learned to stop talking about them to other people, and now that we’re all adults, my middle brother now decides he wants to infodump his current obsessions at me for 20 minutes straight every few hours, as if he wouldnt have told me to stop it if i were to do the same thing to him when i was younger

#if i was a pettier person i would do that. but i am mostly too nice #juuuust petty enough to think about it but not petty enough to not feel about about thinking about it LOL #my youngest older brother used to tell me frequently 'i dont like pokemon because you always talk about it so much'#so that uh kinda stuck with me #i think thats why im so obnoxious online. its my outlet from having to be Very Normal Human in real life FSDGHSJD #and im mad because i cant even do what he does back to him NOW either!!#if i watch fucking ANYTHING and he sees it. hes like. oh youre watching RANGO? oh youre watching DANNY PHANTOM?#with this air of 'why are you watching this - its shit'#i dont even know if thats what he means to imply when he says it like that but thats how it comes across!#i dont care if the things i watch are shit - im watchin them cuz i wanna watch em!#sometimes things can be nostalgic and interesting!#but saying things like that guarantees i will never want to discuss it with you!#maybe thats his subconscious overarching plan eh? make me not want to infodump to him? its possible #pppbbth its just annoying #i have to sit here and listen to him talk about some mobile card game hes been spite playing #and i Have To Listen because i KNOW how it feels to be told to shut up for infodumping #and i dont want him to feel BAD about it i just wish i couldve done that when i was younger without getting told off #or even if i could do it NOW #sometimes ill tell him about my ocs but thats ONLY because he's explicitly told me he thinks some of them (SOME of them) have cool designs #i cant talk to him about things HE doesnt care about #and so i overcompensate here and shove my hyperfixations in all yalls faces instead LMAO
