Does this happen to others too that when you're watching a movie and one scene strikes a chord deep within you for some obscure reason even though it's not an "important" or "pivotal" one and when the movie is over you have this NEED to rewatch that scene again and again and long after whenever you think about it, you remember that one scene first thing instantly, bright and bold in memory???

#like in eternal sunshine of the spotless mind that scene where clementine falls asleep in the car with “phonecall” music playing in the bg #is the one that stuck with me #something so pure and precious and maybe impending inevitability of again finding her way back to Joel and rewriting erased history or maybe #it was just the music #I'm still SO UPSET that the movie version of jon brion's phonecall is NOWHERE TO BE FOUND for streaming those last three notes they #cut short were EVERYTHING #in ladybird the very first scene where mother and daughter finish listening to an audiotape of Steinbeck's grapes of wrath and are teary #and applaud the novel and ladybird puts the cassette back into it's album...#that scene will always stick with me even if all others fade #and I don't have a damn clue why #millie's entries
