Pokemon list!
Pokemon on my main team
SharkBait the Dewott! He is... very rash, very combative, and speaks his mind openly... not sure he likes me all that much haha- He does like me, he was just grumpy about the name situation at the time! Now has a scar on his chest from a Raticate's Super Fang attack. I really want to punch that Neo Team Plasma grunt in the face.
Cannon the Magmar!! A MAGBY!! =D Sorry, still excited! Bold, very adventurous and has gotten himself knocked out... a few times because of it ha. He's getting better and better as we go! He's getting really close to evolving! I can feel it! And we're both excited!! =D HE EVOLVED!!!!!!!
Needle the Nidoking. Seemed docile at first, but now I'm not so sure... very jealous at everyone new joining in, to the point that I don't think he likes me giving new mons attention. He's gonna have to get over it if he want's to stay. Has a chunk missing from his ear from Winter... because he decided it would be a good idea to try and double kick her- Has chilled a bit with evolution, but is still combative with Winter.
Digimon the Porygon2! Kinda Naive, have to keep it off of Google and stuff because it keeps trying to look up things I do not want it to- a Translator! Its very nice to me other than that. Has told me that this is as far as it wants to evolve, which is fair!
Winter the Luxray. Also seemed docile at first- hm... well uh, she's very headstrong and combative with Needle, which... makes sense considering. Nice to me at least? Likes pulling pranks for some reason.
Travel buddies undercut!
My travel buddies. Floof the Flareon! He's my shiny guy!! My dads gave him to me when I was little, very gentle ^^
Flar the Quilava! Papi gave her to me! A breeding reject that the original trainer didn't want. She's very bold.
Croc the Croconaw! Dad gave him to me! Another breeding reject, he can be rather naughty at times, but he cares a lot!
Kissy the Togetic! A kid of my Papi's Togekiss and Dad's Honchkrow! She's a bit odd looking but sweet! Can be kinda timid though.
Vile the Sneasel! A kid of my Papi's Ambipom and Dad's Weavile. She's very impish, loves to steal things when I'm not looking, getting her under control is something I struggle with quite a bit... ^^;
Dolly the Mareep! My first self caught pokemon!! Pretty she's modest but loves praise ^^
Choco Heart the Jangmo-o. Got sent to me by dad, he's really sweet, likes to cuddle... think he's Jolly. I can't use him in battle here sadly, but as soon as I can find a place to do so I will!

Videos Games #1, 7/30-8/5
I've always wanted a place to blab about whatever random game I'm playing. Livetweeting didn't work out, but maybe something like this will? If you don't want to see these posts, please block/filter the tag: #quetzlegaming
Games from this week: Pokemon Polished Crystal, Fool's Gold, Infinite Fusion. Palia MMO, and House Flipper (I fucking LOVE Johto)
Pokemon Polished Crystal
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've got two badges and I just hit Goldenrod! Been loving all the upgrades this hack added to the main game: most HGSS stuff like Lyra, Proton, etc, mild "alt colors" for pokemon based on their DVs (you can see it most clearly in my slightly green Furret there), expanded route maps and hidden grottos... Oh there's in game wonder trade too! That's how I got Skarmory and Clefairy. The last egg there is the Odd Egg, still wondering what 'mon I'm gonna get from it. Pokemon Fool's Gold
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wild looking, ain't it? Fool's Gold is a bit like... if every pokemon in Johto was a "regional form", including its OG cast. From left to right, that's Pidgeotto, Jolteon, Wartortle, Quilava, Corsola, and Houndoom. (Pidgeotto and Quilava are shiny, too.) (Yes I'm playing with the built in shiny code active). They're a pretty great team, have carried me through six badges. 🥰 Literally every pokemon is different, and I've loved playing through the game and seeing familiar faces with a fresh coat of pixels. Pokemon Infinite Fusion
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I went with a bit of a theme, obviously. Can you guess it? Can you guess all my favorite pokemons just from looking at one image? Jokes aside, I kind of loved how this team turned out in the end. Two witches and their familiars uwu. I played on the most chaotic randomizer settings, and I lucked out with it being generous with the eeveelutions. I beat IF this week, clearing Mt. Silver on Thursday. I know there's still some postgame stuff to do and I may get back to it eventually, but I think I'm ready to shelve the game for now. Some of the route design got hecka frustrating by the end. Man, I love Johto. Palia MMO
Tumblr media
I got in on the open beta this week! Just finished building my starter home last night. Really love the art style and environment design in this one, and goooosh the townsfolk are so cute. I already want to marry Jel. It's really scratching that farmer game itch, and I'm sure once they implement more minigames and areas to explore, I'm gonna get totally obsessed. Hopefully they'll have controller config set up for PC by full release, cuz my wrists are BEGGING me to play less KB+M games. Speaking of... House Flipper No pics for this one. I'm still in the early stages of the game where I only fix homes, not buy and flip 'em for sale, so I ain't got shit to show off. But GOSH it's like if they took AC's happy home paradise, mashed it with powerwash sim, and made a game *just* for me. It's so cathartic- at least when I'm not yelling at my customers for making TERRIBLE decisions that strip away any and all character in the home (yes, I'm complaining about the Michael B. job, you're a MONSTER sir/ma'am/they'm). Looking forward to making my first barbie dreamhouse at a later date.

WIP Wednesday: Phaesporia
have an extended contextless wip from my "it's cynthia and diantha who end up going back in time to Hisui" au \ovo/
----
A soft hoot took Diantha’s attention from the fire.  Rowlet hopped over to her, tilting his little head as he looked up at her.  She didn’t need to look up to know Cynthia wasn’t far behind, and she still wasn’t sure if she was ready to try talking to her again.  More yelling was only going to hurt her heart further.
“Hey,” Cynthia began, voice soft enough to almost be drawn out by the crackling of the firewood.
Diantha merely glanced up at her before returning her attention to Quilava in her lap.
“I really don’t want to end tonight like this.  I– if you would be willing to give me one chance to at least attempt to explain myself– I’ll drop it, but I’m…” She was positive she was never this bad with words normally.  Though, given the magnitude of what she had to say, maybe it was understandable.  Maybe her usual self wasn’t any better about personal matters.  “I think it would be worth it to put this out there.”
Cursing herself as she did so, she nodded for Cynthia to sit next to her.  “You get one chance.  Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until the morning and I’ll see how I feel then.”
It was more than she had hoped for, so she took the invitation without hesitation, Rowlet quick to hop on the log between them.
As if the universe was truly trying to mock her, everything Cynthia had rehearsed with Rowlet all but fled her mind, leaving behind only flickers of ideas.  A vague starting point, and a vague idea of the point she needed to make.  It would have to be enough.
    “I’m– when–”
    A flicker of a memory.
…Standing at the base of a bunch of stairs, on a platform of some kind.  Maybe a hundred or so people seated around the area, all listening to her as she spoke with ease about…something…
That version of herself would surely be disappointed by her inability to speak.     “I want to tell you this not to try and pressure you into anything, or even to excuse my behavior.  I want to offer the only explanation I can come up with,” she began.
“Alright,” Diantha said.
“Neither of us really remember much about who were are or where we came from, but I–” Her heart lurched in her chest as she prepared herself to say it “–I think I can say with confidence that you and I were either incredibly close friends, or I was–” She couldn't get the words out.  They were too strong.  Too strong for two people who barely even remembered themselves.
She sputtered a few half words before Diantha cut her off with a laugh.  “What? That you were in love with me?” she asked, because in her mind, it truly was a laughable notion.  Cynthia was warm, open, and brave enough to tangle with alpha pokemon –her Stantler that started this whole mess.  She, on the other hand, was cold and shrewd, and never knew when to admit she was in over her head.
No matter who they were before ending up in Hisui, in Diantha’s mind, Cynthia could do –and deserved– better.
“Yes,” Cynthia answered, the silence that followed hanging thick in the air.
The fire had grown uncomfortably warm.
Warm enough to force Diantha to remove Quilava from her lap, who protested with a soft whine.  “I– I don’t know if I believe you.  What could have possibly led you to such a conclusion?” Diantha finally said, heat clawing up her neck, marring her face.
“Because– the innate feelings I have for you are just…” She shrugged.  “So much more than what they are for anyone else.  Anyone I have this strange familiarity with– it’s nothing like what I feel for you.  Don’t get me wrong– I like the professor just fine.  I adore both Akari and Rei, and I would never want anything to happen to either of them–and even with how weird it is that Volo and I look so much alike, I do like him.  He and I understand each other’s fascination with history and ruins– but it’s…The thought of anything happening to you is paralyzing to me.  And it’s not even as though I don’t think you can protect yourself.”  She gestured over to Quilava.  “You’ve helped more pokemon evolve than me– I think you handle all of them better than I do– but it’s…When we woke up on Prelude Beach together, I didn’t even know your name, but I knew I failed you.  I’m convinced we ended up here because of something I did, or didn’t do.”
She only wished she could remember what that something was.  Even just a bit.  Instead, all she got were fragments of talking.  So much talking, she was positive she couldn’t be missed by anyone, rather, they would all likely be relieved to not have to listen to her any longer.
Eyes burning from staring too intently at the fire, Diantha blinked hard, shaking her head, sending a spray of hair across over her shoulders.  Quilava pushed his head against her hand, forcing himself back into her lap.
“I…I–” Now she was the one struggling to speak.
Cynthia looked away, off to the distant peak, where another small flicker of a fire could just barely be made out from the Fieldlands Camp. “Again, I’m not saying this to try to pressure you to be with me, or reciprocate feelings, or– anything.  I’m just– I want you to know where I think my over-protection has been coming from.”
For a moment, she almost let herself believe it simply because it was such an easy explanation.  It would explain everything.  From every little instance of being drawn to one another, to every instance of understanding one another in ways that went beyond simply being bonded because they were clearly not from the time or space around them.
    But to be loved…?
It didn’t take the full picture of her memories to know that being loved wasn’t something she was familiar with.  To willingly bare so much of yourself to someone– the good, bad, and ugly… For herself, all she could see was ugly.
As desperate as she was to believe there had to be something about herself redeemable –worthy– enough to love, every one of her actions thus far left her confident that, even if it was true, it would only end in burning flames.
Born out of a selfish need to protect herself, Diantha looked away, steeling herself to say what she knew Cynthia didn’t want to hear.  “While it is…a nice thought” –to put it mildly– “Cynthia, I– I must insist that you are mistaken.  Friends I can believe, but I can hardly fathom someone being in love with the likes of me,” she said.
Even though it was the truth she believed in, she couldn’t help but wonder why it hurt so much to say it.
“Even though neither of us really remember anything about ourselves?” Cynthia asked before she could even think it through.  Once her thoughts had finally caught up, she worried it sounded as though she was trying to convince her.
Diantha nodded, finally turning herself to face her again.  “I am just as confident in it as I am in my ability to catch pokemon.  Whoever I was before all of this– she was a wretched woman, and you–” She reached out to tuck Cynthia’s hair behind her ear.  “Any version of you deserves far better than that.”
Cynthia leaned into her touch.  “You’re making yourself out to be this villain, but I don’t see it.”  She wished Diantha would tell her more about what she seemed to remember, because apart from a short attitude now and again, there was nothing that would lead her to describe her as “wretched” of all things.
She pulled her hand back.  “I think you’re simply choosing to remember only the good.”  Even if not consciously.
She almost laughed.  “I can just as easily tell you that you’re only focusing on the bad.”
Between them, Rowlet hooted, breaking the tension, and getting a soft laugh from the both of them.
Adjusting Quilava more comfortably in her lap, Dintha cast a glance at Cynthia again.  “Perhaps there is a middleground,” she said before she could think better of it.
“Perhaps,” Cynthia agreed, her heart once again leaping in her chest.

His answer to the kid's question would've been a flat no if he had bothered to entertain the notion, Quincy would much rather live in the time line which had the possibility of an Abra one day crawling up to a merchant, borrowing something, and then waving his blatant theft by saying to the merchant he “owes them one”. Were Jeremiah actually bordering on stupid, yeah he'd probably try it, but he reckons a psychic-type would likely have more brains than any run-of-the-mill kid his age. He's a psychic, heck give it more time and Jeremiah could maybe pull some psychic shenanigans to get them out of this mess. It would be a more worthwhile shot than potentially being thrown out of a tavern for dragging a kid in with him.
Speaking of, Jeremiah absolutely insisted he was fine being lugged around by one arm and having his lags run across the smooth stone streets, but he wasn't about to have that. If the kid got hurt, it would be Jeremiah's problem up until he'd inevitably start asking if he could be brought to a doctor, which first of all he wasn't, secondly, if they were to start looking for a medicine-pokemon who knows what sort of people are around here? If they found a healer, Jeremiah would probably wind up with more broken limbs than when he first got there. Can't trust a physician, can't trust the guards, but he'd be more than happy to trust the first hopeless chap he sees in the closest tavern.
Thankfully for Quincy and his back, he wouldn't need to go very far into this city to reach his destination. Wherever this strange city happened to be built, it was both sprawling, and maze-like in it's compactness. For every archway cutting above the stone streets there were about two buildings sitting under it, narrow corridors running through those. The homes themselves, entirely made of strange white stone or quartz, ranged from tiny holes into the towering crystals which a majority of them were homes on their own. Why someone would need so much space all to themselves? Who knows, although some of them did occasionally have the winged dragon type soaring to perch up there, so they could likely be watchtowers for the local guard. It had to be a great view from up there.
Frankly with how similar everything is here, would've skipped past the first tavern if he hadn't seen the tiny, out of place, sign plastered right next to his swinging doors. Unless the sign were somehow lying to him, he'd found his place. “Wit's End Tavern” it read, how deliciously ironic.
Quincy ducked under the swinging doors with an Abra on his back into a completely empty tavern. There was nobody here, save for a gabite collapsed in one of the booths and a man who stood behind the crystal-clear bar side. There was a thin glass separating the tavern's two halves, and on the far side of the in were several disjointed platforms making a stairway up to where the bedrooms probably were. Admittedly he couldn't help feeling dissapointed, although; he was able to give his back a rest.
He heaved over to the nearest stone booth, lifted jeremiah onto its obtuse seat and breathed a deep breath.
“I'm gonna talk to the fellow in front, just stick right here, get yourself comfortable or something, okay?”
“Like I'd ever go far.” Jeremiah answers.
 “I know.”
While trying to peek at the man behind the bars, Quincy makes sure to plod around the tavern the long way. He passes by the blue Gabite to get one good look at them. Their head is sitting flat onto the table, appearing as though they had knocked right out right – it looked like a concussion for sure. They've must have had too much, but there wasn't the usual stacks of bottles strewn across his table, so either the innkeeper was doing their job, which already puts this place way above the two other taverns he's been too, or the gabite had fallen asleep like that. Every second or so when he looked at them, he'd see the fellow shake violently, grumble, never saying anything coherent. It was strange; it was none of his business.
Quincy pulled up the bar-side, hopped onto the giant stools with the last strength he had from carrying around Jeremiah, and waved over the bartender. He walked past the many crystal glasses on the display towards the Quilava. The Bartender was a gaunt Lucario, slim of build. Perhaps it was just the way the fighting-type moved, hunched over, making larger steps as supposed to many smaller ones that made him look bigger than he actually was. The dried, red warpaint around his accentuated a dull gaze, and his mouth hardly move when he spoke. He simply slid a half-filled wineglass to the Quivala, then spoke in crisp voice.
 “First's on the house.”
 “Thanks.”
He took a quick sip. Wine wasn't his thing, but who would ever complain about free things? After wetting his mouth, Quincy struck conversation.
 “Where you from?”
“I was just about to ask you. Does the typing a giveaway?”
“I'm not judging, but when all you've seen are dragons everywhere, people who aren't covered in scales really stick out.” Quincy took another swig, “You know what's the deal with this place?”
“As much as any other person,” Lucario folds his arms, and leans against the cupboards behind him, “I've only been here for so long, had this place for less, and I regret every moment of it. The people here have little respect, or if they do have it they have it for the wrong person. All they do is work, beat eachother to death, and occasionally talk about their benevolent conqueror. It's hard to stomach, except for the bloodsports –  it’s good entertainment.”
 “What's this about a conqueror?”
“I expect someone who came here to be more versed in legendary scripture, or you have some common sense to reconsider the mistake they're about to make” he laughs as his eyes stare right through the fire-type,“You strike he me as having neither, you never planned on coming here did you?”
“Uhhh...” he bought himself time to think by taking an especially long drink of the remaining glass, “I can say I got involved with something I didn't think was going to go upside-down as quickly as it did, and then I suddenly found myself here having flown in on a giant rock. Wish I could tell you what happened in-between, but I  have a hard time explaining it to myself.”
“I've heard similar, did the psychic come with you?” the Lucario takes Quincy's glass and points with it across the inn.
“The kid was there when I woke up. You sure he's a psychic?”
“After you have lived long enough, you tend to recognize which pokemon are problems to you and which are easy pickings. I learned what an Abra was very quickly.” he fills the empty glass from a keg, “Here's another, you've been good company so far.”
“I get the feeling I'm your only company.”
Quincy swallows about half down in a single swig, which again, the drink isn't much. The bitter taste of berry-water is enough to clean out his throat, but that's about it. He's just happy to have more.
“This conqueror person is someone I admit I'm not very fond of. You can call him by Palkia, Conqueror of the Stars or whatever moniker he decides to go by, it's all the same. I hope I don't need to explain what a God is, or what legendary pokemon are but he's very, very strong.” the lucario explains, “This rock, the entire city we're standing on? He made it one day after he had decided to kill another legendary out of a petty scuffle, made commemorating a great battle which was really him just gutting the poor thing. There's a whole museum here dedicating to it and the rest of his curbstompings.”
The Lucario doesn't so much as sigh, but his nose wrinkles like a prune.
“If you can stomach the chest-thumping, you can probably learn a thing or two. It's all the way next to the biggest pillar in the city, wouldn't recommend it, only went in there once and I ever since my life's been down the drain.”
Quincy's paws tap against the now empty glass. After downing two drinks, he knows he's had enough, and listening to the Lucario was way more information he was willing to handle in a single night. If he were to summarize the stew of disjointed thoughts whirling around in his empty skull, the main thing he felt was hesitation. Not the dread which made his insides into a knot, more so the malaise of having put himself into a situation which while not the worst, was bogged with uncertainty. He had a plan inside there for everything except for appearing in a completely different world filled with the worst sorts of people, ruled by the worst legendary he'd dare to imagine.
“If it's not too much to ask-”
“You want a room, don't you?”
“Yeah.” Quilava sighs, “We'll take the closet if we have to.”
Not a moment later the Lucario places a small, silver key on the counter.
“Furthest one on the left, you can have it.”
“Am I expected to pay you back, or...?”
“No,” Lcario's lips furl into a smile, “but I would like to speak with you the morning, if it’s not too much to ask.”

A song to heal a tired soul 14 (Raikichi x Piers)
Tumblr media
Rated: Teen and mature
Warnings: Bad language
Notes: Raikichi is around 25 years old
-------------------------PART 14-------------------------
--------PIERS’ POV-----------
I groaned when I saw the time in my phone. It was near dawn, and I didn’t sleep during all the night cause I was watching over Raikichi. I moved on the bed, turning to see her. She was breathing harshly, and she was still pale.  Glaceon was sleeping between us; she fell asleep after getting to exhausted, and now Weavile and Ninetales were watching in order to act if they had to low her fever.
“I know you can surpass this, babe...” I whispered as I stroked her face before standing up in order to have some breakfast. Kabu was alredy awake, preparing breakfast. He looked like he didn’t sleep well; but at least, he could sleep better than me. “Hey” I said as I yawned while I sat down in order to have breakfast
“You didn’t sleep, did you?” he asked as he served the breakfast
“I couldn’t” I replied drinking a bit of coffee “What if I fall asleep and Raikichi gets worst? I can’t...”
“You worry a lot for her, and that’s good. That means that you really care about her” Kabu said “But I’m here to help, so if you need to sleep, go and sleep. Take your deserved rest”
“I think I can handle with this” I said as I heard a sound coming from Raikichi’s room; it was Glaceon, who came to the living room walking a bit awnkward “Hey girl...” I said stroking her head “Let me prepare you some food”
I stood up and I went to prepare some food for Glaceon, but I ended preparing food for Weavile and Ninetales. They were hungry and tired, and they needed energy to keep watching over her trainer. I didn’t have too much time to put the bowls in the floor cause they were now devouring them. “Easy there” I said with a soft chuckle and once they finished eating the food, the three of them returned to the room. “I’m going to take a quick shower” I said once I was donde with my breakfast
Kabu nodded and after putting my service on the sink, I went to Raikichi’s room and once I got clean clothes, I went to the bathroom. I got naked and I entered in the bathtub. A quick shower was the thing that I needed to ginger me up since I had to be with all my reflexes up. As I took the shower, I thought on what happened yesterday...I should had been there...I should had been with her...Maybe then she wouldn’t ended lost in that hail storm...Maybe I could had help her...I groaned before sighing heavily as I finished taking the shower. Once I got dried and dressed, I exited the bathroom as I pulled my hair in a ponytail. In the living room were Melony, Milo, Nessa, Raihan and Gordie, speaking with Kabu. “Whoa...It’s too early to be here” I said
“We know, but we thought you will need help not only with Raikichi, but also with all her Pokemon” Melony said “It’s hard for two two taking care of her, and if we add taking care also of all her Pokemon...”
“Thank you, really” Kabu said “Well, let’s see how this buddies are.”
“Then I’ll try to make her Rotom Phone work again” Raihan said as he sat down in order to check her phone “It looks that the phone got hit by something...I’ll do my best to make it work again”
I nodded and I went with Kabu to the garden that he had on his terrace in order to take Raikichi’s Pokemon out of their Pokeballs. Milo would take care of Leafeon, Tropius, Ivysur, Serperior, Sawsbuck, Gourgeist, Lurantis, Decidueye and Appletun. Nessa decided to help with Vaporeon, Lanturn, Milotic, Dewgong, Swanna, Primarina and Lapras-thanks to Arceus that Kabu had medium ponds on the garden to allow some of those Pokemon to be in the water. Kabu, by his hand, took a look on Infernape, Quilava, Blaziken, Charizard, Chandelure, Delphox, Talonflame, Salazzle and Raboot. Kabu told me once that Raikichi’s Blaziken was a gift from him when she was a Torchic, and that Infernape was Raikichi’s first Pokemon. Gordie and Melony decided to take care of Staraptor, Luxray, Ampharos, Noctowl, Ariados, Raichu-who gave them some problems cause she was surfing in the air using her tail, things of being from Alola, like Ninetales-, Swellow, Jolteon, Pidgeot, Dragonair, Scolipede, Meowstic, Sylveon, Toucannon, Banette and Ponyta while I took care of Linoone, Zoroark, Absol and Umbreon. Glaceon, Weavile and Ninetales were on Raikichi’s room, watching over her trainer. It was clear that all of her Pokemon were really worried about her, some of them didn’t want to eat and we had to convince them to eat something. Also, we took care of the other Pokemon that didn’t form part of her teams but were on her backroom, like Altaria, Togekiss, Aurorus, Lumineon, Mawile, Sensu Style Oricorio, Indedee, Shinnotic and other more rare like Shaymin, Latios and Silvally. It was my first time in front of two Mythical Pokemon and despite my lil fear, they were very kind.
The hours passed and I was getting too stressed cause the guilt was eating me from the inside. I ended arguing with Raihan and Gordie when the stress took over me, and then, Marnie, who came to Kabu’s house at evening, grabbed me by the arm and took me to the garden. “Ya need fresh air, brother” she said and then, I was with my knees on the groung “Piers?”
“I can’t loose her, Marnie...” I sobbed, hugging myself “I can’t...”
Marnie knelt next to me and hugged me, and I hugged her as I kept crying. “She will survive, brother” she said, also sobbing “Ya know she’s the bravest person we’ve met...She will overcome this...”
“But she’s...” I tried to say, the sobs avoiding me to continue
“Listen, Piers. Raikichi is strong. She has passed through situations worst than this...And she isn’t alone...”
I nodded as I wipped my tears away, hugging my sister again. “Thanks, Marnie” I said
“Your welcome, brother”
“I did it!!” Raihan said nearly jumping from the chair “Raikichi’s Rotom Phone is working now! Let’s see if we can seek for a video or something...I’ll need to charge the battery while I do it, Rotom looks exhausted too...Let’s see what we have...”
Raihan found a video that showed that Raikichi had gotten lost in the middle of the hail storm cause it took her by surprise when she was going back to her camp. While she was trying to find her way back, something attacked her and made her fall to the Lake. The video ended when the Rotom Phone recorded Primarina taking Raikichi out of the water and then, the video ended. “Raihan, rewind the video” I said and he did it “There, stop there. Could you something to make the image clear?”
“I can try” he said connecting his own Rotom Phone wirh Raikichi’s “There you are...By all the living things...”
Everyone there gasped, and with a reason. Raikichi was attacked by a Gigantamax Pokemon; by a Gigantamax Toxtricity, to be more exactly. Raihan called Leon to tell him what we’ve found as the thoughts came again to my mind. I didn’t want my girlfriend to be scared of my Toxtricity due her experience in the Wild Area. If that happened, I would be at her side in order to help her...But it would be hard.
At night, we were alone again, Kabu making dinner and me watching on Raikichi. She didn’t move, she didn’t even made a sound that could tell us that she was trying to wake up. While we had dinner, I told Kabu my fears about Raikichi having a trauma with Toxtricity, but he told me not to worry, at least not yet. After dinner, I went to her room, ready to sleep a bit, or at least trying, since Kabu offered to stay awake while I slept.
--------------------------------
Two weeks. Two long weeks had passed since we rescued Raikichi from the Wild Area and she didn’t give signs of waking up. During those weeks, she got worst, then better, then worst...One day she was near of choke when she was trying to breath and it was costing her a lot, but luckily, we managed to help her with that.
Sleeping in turns, switfting between me and Kabu in order to watch over her while the other one slept didn’t work very well; one day I ended falling asleep over Arcanine. Comfy, but too hot due his high temperature.
Two long weeks...I sighed as I looked at the calendar where I marked the days that Raikichi spent unconscious since we rescued her. I wished in the deepest of me to not put another mark on the actual day. I was hoping that she would wake up soon, and I wished that she would wake up today. I sighed again as I watched our Pokemon eating their food. Glaceon, Weavile and Ninetales had a bigger food ration since they were the ones that helped the most, using her Ice powers to help lowering Raikichi’s fever.
“Easy there” I said stroking Glaceon’s head “You’re really doing a great work, ya know?”
Glaceon chirped as she rose her head and then, she twitched her ears. She looked behind her and like if something called her, she quickly rushed into Raikichi’s room, only to come again to the living room minutes later, chirping so happily that Kabu and me looked at her with curiosity as she entered again in the room. We followed her and we felt like if our souls fell to the floor when we saw Raikichi rising her trembling hand slowly in order to pet her Glaceon, and then, Kabu and me were in tears when we heard her voice.
“Hey, girl...” she said, her voice trembling but as sweet as I remembered “You’ve been at my side all this time?” Glaceon chirped, nuzzling her trainer “Weavile and Ninetales too...” she whispered and then, Glaceon moved a bit to allow Raikichi to see us “Piers...Uncle Kabu...”
Both Kabu and me went at both sides of the bed; me laying down next to her and Kaby sitting on the edge of the bed. I peppered her face with kisses, feeling that she was recovering her normal temperature; she was still cold, but at least, she was recovering slowly. “I’m so glad you’re awake, babe...” I said leaning my forehead againts her, tears on my eyes, before standing up and allowing Kabu to hug his niece.
“You gave a very big scare, kiddo” Kabu said, also crying “But we’re really glad about you being awake”
“I’m sorry...For scaring and worrying you...” she said and I quickly wipped her tears away
“Hey, it’s not your fault, Raikichi...” I said stroking her face
“But...”
“Piers is right, kiddo” Kabu replied “Now rest while I prepare you some food, okay?”
Raikichi nodded and once Kabu went to the kitchen, I removed the slippers and I curled next to her, holding her hand. “Piers...You look tired...” she said
“Well, I spent some nights awake in order to watch over you, and your uncle did that as well” I said with a yawn
She smiled softly before yawning and when she moved a bit trying to find my warm, I curled next more to her. “I think...I’m going to sleep a bit more...” she said with a yawn
“I’ll wake you up when food is ready, babe” I said kissing her temple “Now rest, my love...”
------------RAIKICHI’S POV----------
The first time I woke up after a long time unconscious I saw my Glaceon next to me, licking and nuzzle my face, and then, I saw Piers and my uncle Kabu. They were both in tears, hugging me as they told me how happy and gladly they were of seeing me awake. I fell asleep again few minutes later cause I was exhausted, but this time I knew I could sleep well since I could fell Piers’ hand holding mine.
The second time I woke up it was few hours after the first time, at night. Glaceon was next to me, curled as she slept pacefully. I moved my head and I smiled softly when I saw Piers sleeping next to me, but he quickly woke up when I squeezed his hand gently. “Hey, babe...” he said kissing my lips. “Your lips are not longer blue...And they aren’t that cold...” he whispered to my lips before kissing them and then, he kissed my forehead “You have a bit of fever yet...”
“I think so...” I said before yawning “How long I was unconscious?”
“Two weeks” he said “And if we count those two days to were unconscious after being attacked in the Wild Area and before we rescued you...Yeah, two weeks and two days”
“Wait...Was I attacked?” I asked confused
“Yeah...Your Rotom Phone recorded what happened” Piers replied “You got lost on the hail storm cause it took you by surprise, and when you were trying to go back to the camp, a Gigantamax Pokemon attacked you and you ended falling to the Lake...Then Primarina rescued you and the video ended there, so we suppoused your Pokemon took back to the camp where you fell unconscious“
“Piers...What type of Gigantamax Pokemon attacked me?” I asked and when Piers stood in silence for few minutes, I started to worry “Piers?”
“A...A Gigantamax Toxtricity”
Oh, so that was the Pokemon that attacked me that day...Piers looked so worried, like if something was bothering him. “Babe? Hey...What’s wrong?”
“I...I don’t want you to be afraid of my Toxtricity...”
“Why I was going to be afraid of him?”
“Because you were attacked by a Gigantamax Toxtricity and...And I’m afraid of seeing you getting scared of...”
“Hey, babe...I’m not scared of him” I said “C’mon, get him out his Pokeball”
Piers rose an eyebrow but nodded and let Toxtricity get out of his Pokeball. He approached me slowly and when I let him sniff my hand, he nuzzled it with a chirp. “See?” I said and Piers sighed in relief before helping me to sit down on bed, pillows on my back to be more comfy while my uncle brought me some food. “That smells really good” I said
“Special soup for you” Kabu said putting the plate on the portable table “I’m going to get your medicines”
“Ugh...” I groaned as I rolled my eyes
“I know it sucks, but you’re recovering from a serious pneumonia, babe” Piers said taking the spoon “Now, say ‘aaaah’“
I rose an eyebrow but I opened my mouth to let Piers feed me. My hands were still trembling, and I didn’t have all the energy I wanted to have in order to eat by myself. Slowly, my body accepted the food, something that I really needed. As Piers kept giving me the food, my uncle came back with the medicines and with a thermometer that he used to take my temperature. “Still high...But not as higher as before” he said before letting me continue eating my dinner
After the dinner and taking the disgusting medicine, Piers brought the TV controller and started to search something to watch. Uncle Kabu was talking with someone as I could hear him a bit, but then, my boyfriend passed his arm around my shoulders and I leant my head on his shoulder. Glaceon jumped on the bed after returning of eating her food and curled at our feet, Obstagoon and Toxtricity napping on the carpet. “Piers?” I asked with a yawn
“Yes, babe?”
“I’m sorry...I’m sorry cause I didn’t keep my promise...”
“What do ya mean, babe?”
“I promised to you and to my uncle that I would be careful...That everything would be okay...And I failed...” I said, tears on my eyes “I failed and I couldn’t keep my promises!”
“Hey, hey, slow down babe” Piers said wiping my tears away “It was an accident. You didn’t expect the hail storm to get that worst suddenly, and you didn’t know that there was a Gigantamax Pokemon there. How could you know it in the middle of that storm? Please babe...Stop saying that, please...Stop putting all the guilt on you...”
I nodded as he wipped my tears away before kissing my cheek before continuing watching the TV until I started to yawn again. I felt my eyelides heavier, and when Piers noticed that I was falling asleep, he removed part of the pillows and helped me to lay down again and covered me with the blankets. I moved a bit as I found myself comfy as Piers changed his clothes and got on his pajamas before removing his ponytail and then, he laid down next to me. Glaceon moved in order to put her tail on my forehead for some minutes to help me with the fever a bit. My boyfriend curled next to me under the blankets and after kissing my forehead. “Good night, babe...”
“Good night...” I murmured before falling asleep
------------------
The next days were like the first time I woke up after spending those two weeks unconscious. Few days after I woke up, I recieved the visit of Nurse Joy that came to check my constants. She told my uncle and Piers that I was still suffering from pneumonia, but I was starting to feel a bit better. The fever went and came back, but at least I wasn’t suffering too much high fever.
That day I recieved the visit of the Gym Leaders that came with goodies for me, for Piers and for my uncle. It was a bit overwhelming at first, but I appreciated their gifts. It was near night, and Raihan was in my room with Leon, who took his free day to visit me, while the others were in the living room talking with my uncle.
“Oh, this is for you” Leon said as he gave me his League Card “I didn’t have the proper moment to give it to you, so here you are”
“Thank you, Leon”
“You should make your own League Card, Little Champion” Raihan said with a smirk on his face, showing me his fangs
“I’ll do it once I’ll recover completly” I said
“And what are you going to do with that bouquet of roses?” Leon asked
I sighed when he remembered me that bouquet. It was from Chairman Rose who thought that it would be a really good idea giving me a really BIG bouquet of roses. “I told my uncle to put them on a place were they could be out of our sight.” I replied with a yawn “I don’t know but there is something on Chairman Rose that makes me not to trust on him completly...Not specially after what I’ve seen that day I went to Spikemuth the first time”
“What did you see?” Raihan asked
“Rose was trying to convince Piers to make the people of Spikemuth to leave the town in order to shoot down the town and then, rebuilding it next to a Power Spot” I said “That would mean a lot of families loosing their homes and Piers wasn’t and isn’t going to allow that...That day I saw him comfronting Rose and Piers looked really upset after dealing with him...Like if he was tired od that”
“Well, Piers doesn’t use Dynamax and he learnt how to batlle without using it, and he’s really good on that” Raihan said
“I know...But seeing him that angry and upset after that...”
Leon was going to reply when Piers entered in my room. He was wearing his sleeping clothes cause he got changed in the bathroom, and after saying a low ‘Hello’ to Raihan and Leon, he dropped himself to the bed, slipping under the covers and hugging me.
“Tired?” I asked with a yawn
“Yeah...”
“Then we should leave you” Leon said “I hope you’ll recover well”
“Thanks” I said with a soft smile and then, Leon and Raihan left the room.
I acommodate myself in the bed, laying down and letting Piers curl next to me while my uncle said goodbye to the Gym Leaders before closing the door. “Hey, kiddo” my uncle said entering in my room “How are you feeling?”
“Tired...” I yawned and rubbed my eyes and chuckle a bit when I heard Piers snoring a bit
“If you need something, tell me, okay?” he said and I nooded “Good night, Raikichi”
“Goodnight, uncle” I said and when he left to his room, I closed my eyes as I grabbed Piers’ hand, and smiled when my boyfriend mumbled ‘Good night my love, I love you’ “I love you too, Piers...” I said before falling asleep

EW!!!
Characters: Logan, Cherise Verse: Pokemon
“I told you, I don't wanna…” Cherise complained even as they walked up to the front door of the restaurant.
“And yet, here we are. Come on, I know you don't like your birthday, but just let me do this for you? It doesn't have to be a bad thing. I'll make it a good thing!” Logan attempted to persuade her, and held the door open.
Cherise looked up at the building. It wasn't an overly fancy place, just enough that it was more expensive than fast food, but wasn't anywhere that specialized in anything. She glanced down and saw a pair of red eyes glow in her shadow that seemed to be urging her onward.
“Alright, I'm going, jeez…” she mumbled, knowing Midna would hear her.
“Yeah?” Logan asked, his face growing to a grin. “Okay, come on. You can pick anything, even a dessert. Consider it your birthday cake.”
“As long as you're not the one making it.”
“That hurts. The instructions are right on the box, I'm not that hopeless…”
The siblings walked in and Logan took the lead towards the greeter, who smiled at them.
“Hi! Table for two?” She asked.
“Yup! Thanks,” Logan said, smiling as well.
Cherise crossed her arms and waited. They waited just a moment for the greeter to go around the podium, grabbed a couple menus and walked them through the restaurant. She led them to a table sort of in the back, near a window, with booth seats. Logan always liked those best, more comfortable than a chair. It also gave him a place to drop his bag without leaving it on the floor. He slid into the seat, Cherise followed suit, he dropped his bag next to him, and thanked the greeter again as she put the menus in front of them and left the pair alone.
“So, let me guess,” Cherise asked, flipping open the menu without lifting it off the table. “You’re gonna get a burger or something, right?”
Logan raised an eyebrow. “So? I like them…”
“But it’s just more fast food, what’s special about it?”
“They’re bigger…” Logan pouted. “And taste better. And more fries. Big fries! It’s just better! Not the sloppy fast food stuff. Which still tastes good anyway…”
Cherise scoffed. “You’re so uncultured.”
“And what are you gonna get? You wear just as many video game t-shirts as I do,” Logan countered.
“None of your business.”
Logan rolled his eyes and sighed. “You enjoy being difficult, don’t you?”
“Sometimes,” Cherise finally looked up from the menu and gave him a small smirk.
Logan smiled and shook his head, and silence fell as they took a moment to earnestly look over the menu for their respective meals. They ordered, talked, Cherise mentioned it was too quiet without Karok sniffing away at everything and barking excitedly, so Logan let him out. He immediately started chattering away, happy as always to be with the pair. Logan tossed him a few fries as well, but mostly he was content to curl up next to one or the other and bark away if he felt he needed to be heard. Overall, it was nice. Logan had questions about breeding and the competitive stuff Cherise had spent so much time doing and learning, and she rattled on about something Logan had barely heard of before, but was honestly thinking of checking it out now.
As they finished up, Logan took in a deep, pleasant breath while Cherise looked over the desserts to top it all off. This had really worked out. They'd talked a lot, and he felt like they'd managed to really get close. Times like these were few and far between with her. He still often doubted if he was getting through to her at all, if she actually trusted him or not. But days like these made him lose all worry. Even Karok seemed pleased as he napped, flopped upside down next to Cherise.
“Did you enjoy your meal?” Their server asked as she once more approached the table.
“Yes!” They answered in unison.
“Excellent! Anything for dessert?” She continued, spotting the open menu in Cherise's hand.
“Yeah, one of these!” Cherise pointed to one of the items on the menu.
“Of course, I'll be right back.”
“And I'll take the bill, too,” Logan added hastily.
“Sure. Together?”
“Yes.”
The server smiled, nodded, and walked off. True to her word only a few minutes passed before she returned with both Cherise's dessert and Logan's bill. He payed while Cherise dug in.
“Okay, and we're done!” The server said as she confirmed the payment was complete. “I hope you two enjoyed your date here tonight!”
Cherise immediately began choking on her food.
“Uhh…” Logan glanced from the server to his sister, suddenly with a bad feeling in his stomach.
Cherise slammed the table, hard enough that Karok very suddenly woke up and rolled off his seat with a cry, and Logan noticed a few nearby diners glance their way. She swallowed, clearing her throat and stood up. “EWW!!!”
Her shriek definitely drew more attention, and Logan felt his face go red with embarrassment.
“That is… so gross!” She cried, finding herself unable to look in any real direction, especially towards anyone.
“H-Hey, relax, it was just a simple-” Logan tried to calm her down.
She shook her head hard, her hair flipping everywhere. “Nope, no, I've already started going there and I'm grossed out, I'm outta here.”
With that she charged out of her seat, nearly bumping the server, who looked at least as embarrassed as the siblings. Logan watched her go for a second, mind contemplating what just happened, but a sharp poke to his ribs had him up on his feet, bag in hand.
“S-Sorry about that…” Logan muttered to the server before dashing after his sister, Quilava in tow.
“No, it was my fault,” she apologized, still wide eyed.
Logan caught up to his sister outside, who was being accosted by her Gengar.
She spun on her heel and glared at Logan. “We. Never. Speak. Of. This. Ever.”
Logan's head recoiled slightly and he just nodded.
Cherise took a deep breath. “Thank you… for food. Now let's… please leave…?”
“Y-Yeah…” Logan agreed.

Canon(ish) RP - Ship Spats
(Artemis-mod here.  Occasionally, in the downtime between sessions, we tend to mess about and do roleplays as our characters over on our Discord server.  It works particularly well for stuff that wouldn’t otherwise be particularly interesting to play in sessions--like a looooong journey by boat!  So, without further ado, here are the logs from those assorted RPs.)
Irwin
*Irwin scurries across the deck, leans over the starboard rail, and hurls into the water below*
Giga (Danica)
"Uh... Irwin?" quickly climbs down from the crow's nest "Are you okay?"
Irwin
*he's draped over the railing motionless* Uuuuunnnggh...
Giga (Danica)
 "Ah. Seasick?"
Irwin
*he slowly turns his head to the side.  He looks like he could be a zombie.* First time... on a boat...
Giga (Danica)
"Ah. Still need your sea legs then. Don't worry, it'll pass." leans onto the rail peering out into the water.
Irwin
I don't know how you do it.  It's got to be so much worse up there on the lookout thingy.
Giga (Danica)
"I just focus on everything else. Honestly, being out on the open sea is reassuring to me."
Irwin
I thought it would be fun... but now I just want to get back to land.
Giga (Danica)
"Well, with any luck, we won't be stuck in the Temple of Faith as long as the Temple of Time... Seriously where does Absolute get his stuff for this place?"
Irwin
Yeah, I'm a little nervous about what we may find there.  I'm glad to be helping Casia though.  I may have been dragged here against my will, but I can appreciate what Absolute does. *he slowly looks up at the land in the distance* And besides, this place is pretty beautifURP- *he leans over and throws up again* *he then proceeds to crumple down into a ball on the deck* Euugh...  Do me a favor, and just knock me out until we get there...
Giga (Danica)
"I uh... would rather not take the risk of accidentally taking your memories..."
Irwin
Maybe I'll be better off below deck... *he proceeds to crawl away ever so slowly*
Giga (Danica)
winces as Irwin crawls away, then looks out at the sea "...wonder how Rippy's doing..."
Sarah Blossom
she's been enjoying herself..the little cheater she's FLOATING so she doesn't get seasick how whos doing Dani?
Giga (Danica)
"Oh, hey Sarah. Well, my Samurott Riptide for one..." Puts her head against the railing "...he must be worried sick..."
Sarah Blossom
looks over at her and leans on the rail smiling happily ahh..you got "family" back home to...i hope my crews doing ok....but I'm sure they're fine!
Giga (Danica)
"I hope so... Rippy has a tendency to... uh... rush into things if something's wrong, to say the least..." turns to Sarah "What about you? You got folks or Pokemon waiting back home?"
Sarah Blossom
laughs ah..bon bon is like that....but she thinks on it looks to her "mostly pokemon at this point....knowing my luck...but i call them my family, 5 of em and an egg to be exact!
Giga (Danica)
"Oh, really now? Who, and what, are they respectively? If you don't mind me asking."
Sarah Blossom
smiles oh no trouble, in no order really, a sylveon ribbons, an espeon Psy, Nebula the clefable...who was my mom's mon by the way, chance the blissey and bon bon the lopunny
Giga (Danica)
"Huh... interesting. Riptide's the only Pokemon I've ever really had, per say, and he's been with me for... well, since my earliest Plasma days, I think... way back when he was an Oshawott..."
Sarah Blossom
"aww that's sweet...nebula and chance have been with me since before i could hold a screwdriver!, Chance was a gift to me when I  turned 2...according to my dad...Nebula and chance might be most worried...but i love all of them...back when the two were happiny and cleffa
Giga (Danica)
"Heh... that's nice." Looks out towards the sea (again) "Rippy was apparently found from an abusive trainer. I was assigned to take care of him while I was still getting basic training and other such courses... Wow, that feels like such a long time ago..."
Sarah Blossom
smiles looking out to sea once more "Ouch...I...I really hate abusive trainers....i found psy and ribbons as Eevee's ....i was...few years before I was trainer material...two trainers left them and they were scared....nurse joy had mentioned it when we went to carefor the others....i saw them...they weren't causing trouble...they just needed a snack...they followed like a lost lillipup for the whole day!"she giggled..."it feels a lot longer then.... she blushed sorry..i..i uhh ..rambled
Giga (Danica)
Shakes head "It's fine, if anything, the rambling is a nice change from... well, y'know."
Sarah Blossom
laughs haha yeah....adventure...it is nice...plus..I uhh..haven't gotten a chance to really talk to you since....like we first met
Giga (Danica)
"Yeah... considering we've had to spend most of our time and attention is spent trying not to lose ourselves... well, I'd say that it's a fair statement to make..."
Sarah Blossom
"It's..putting it nicely...meanwhile I..spent my time wandering and my mind drifting!...Only just recently did you guys help me set straight in my mind
Giga (Danica)
"Glad to be of some help then. I just hope that we'll be sane at the end of this..."
Sarah Blossom
"ha, me to, no offense but..you Dani my girl..drive me a tiny bit bonkers with some of your antics"
Giga (Danica)
"Oh?" smirks slightly "I have no idea what you're talking about."
Sarah Blossom
"i call shenanigans, you egged me on to talk to irwin....and he felt the same way..because you wanted a few extra berries....or the fact you are my wing girl 98% of the time....*raises a brow smirking *
Giga (Danica)
"Sarah, Sarah, Sarah..." still smirking mischievously "...it was ridiculously obvious that you two were pining for each other. I'm just grateful that it happened sooner rather than... well, too late..."
Sarah Blossom
"It is the best thing you got me to do!...We realized how much we wanna get out of here...now we don't EVER want to evolve... I'm letting Irwin keep the stone until we find a way to split it in two halfs and make it wearable...and uhmm...*looks around..making sure no one is listening(if anyone wants to try to listen perception roll!!!!~) We uhh...we..kinda got into a talk in the tent the other night...
Irwin
*the distinct sound of a Quilava stairs can be heard in the distance, followed by a ghostly wail*
Giga (Danica)
"Wow already at that phase of the relationship, huh?" Insert Sarah's reaction here "I'm kidding! I'm kidding! But do go on."
Sarah Blossom
EXTREME BLUSHING GO AND WING FLUTTER hahahaha!!!  I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.....nono....she whispers..we umm...kissed....
Giga (Danica)
"Ohoho~" Leans in closer, an interested glimmer in Danica's eyes "You have my full attention ma'am."
Sarah Blossom
 she's blushing umm....we kissed..o-on...t-the lips..soft voice
Giga (Danica)
beams "Well, well, well~ Now this conversation just got infinitely more interesting~"
Sarah Blossom
 &*shes blushing so hard"s-shush!!!....just..i...on the cheek..he did the same..and..it sorta...happened
Giga (Danica)
 "Well then, how was it?"
Sarah Blossom
 blushed how was it..umm..well uhh..i dunno...i mean it's..it's just a kiss right?
Artemis the Absol
The Dark-type makes his way above deck.  It seems like he'd been suffering some of the same issues Irwin had been--poor bastards.  "Hi, girls...urp."
Sarah Blossom
turns around huh..oh look it's our giant amount of fluff that's mega evod....were you listening to us?
Giga (Danica)
"Nice to see you too Artemis. Also, I believe you do have a minor explanation to give about... well..." points at Artemis' floof wings
Sarah Blossom
you mean the fact he mega evolved?
Giga (Danica)
"Wait, you know what he did?" is genuinely confused
Sarah Blossom
looks at her  WHAT?! you've never heard of mega evolution?!
Giga (Danica)
"Uh... admittedly, Pokemon related stuff isn't my strong suit..."
Artemis the Absol
"Mega Evolution?  It's..."  He says, giving a bit of a noncommittal shrug.  "It's something I've been able to do for a while, honestly.  It's uncommon in the tribe, but not unheard of.  I don't use it much since it takes a whole, whooooole lot outta me.  And I can’t fly, even with--"  A rather rough wave rocks the ship, and Arty grips the railing of the boat tightly, wrenching his eyes shut.  "Bleeegghhhh..."
Sarah Blossom
"well..you DID say you weren't from kalos..so i guess you don't know,,,"she laughs "it's the bond between pokemon and trainer, some pokemons bond is so strong..some have the capability to do whats called Mega evolution a temporary step further of evolution its seen as a trainer has truly bonded with its pokemon as one being... only a number of them can do such a thing...but those that are able to wield the mega stone with its pokemon can be even stronger than before... taking control of it isn't easy..but those who have the right mindset should feel as if they and their pokemon are one
Artemis the Absol
Artemis squints and peers at her with suspicion.  "You keep saying that word.  What in the world is a 'Trainer', exactly?  Something to do with humans and Pokemon together, that's about all I can tell."  He says, hiding the venom in his tone.  Mostly.
Sarah Blossom
She speaks of it as if it's pure bliss a trainer...something I am considerably..catching pokemon..but as friends..to perform with me on stage..her voice went from sweet to bitter sour...a mean glare in her eyes do you have a problem with that fluffy boy? (gotta roll intimidate you gotta focus roll arty) (for me that's....2d6 and your focus is what? @Artemis the Absol !roll 2d6
RPBotBOT  @Sarah Blossom rolled 10. (6 + 4 = 10)
Sarah Blossom  (OH MY GOD)
Giga (Danica)
steps in between both Sarah and Artemis "Ladies, ladies, you're both beautiful, but I believe Fluffy the Terrible deserves an explanation, at least."
Artemis the Absol  (Focus and Intimidate should both be 4d6 iirc)
Sarah Blossom  (your intimidate should be disadvantaged because you're too fluffy (and she went from sweet to...BOOM SOUR
Vivian
There is a loud series of clacking noises ringing from across the way. An automated voice rings out. Sarah, are you picking on Artemis?
Sarah Blossom
and she's back to sweet what no!...i could just sense the venom in his voice when he said trainer.*she sounds happy once more
Giga (Danica)
"Oh hi Vivian. Not feeling too seasick, I assume?"
Vivian  !roll d20
RPBotBOT  @Vivian rolled 17.
Sarah Blossom  (tip:you can type just ! roll it's still a 20)
Artemis the Absol  !4d6
RPBotBOT  @Artemis the Absol rolled 12. (5 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 12)
Sarah Blossom  (ok umm.your..your mildly startled by that sudden tone change)
Vivian  She takes a few seconds to type out her response. No. This trip has been a lot easier than I thought. She grips her phone tightly as the boat sways. That doesn't mean the trip hasn't been without its problems, though...
Artemis the Absol
The floofdoggo is relatively outwardly unfazed by her sudden change in demeanor, though the sudden venom leaves him a bit rattled.  Jeezum, temperamental much?   "If you say so."  He says shortly, clearly unconvinced, though he'd rather not press the issue.   "...I'm inclined to agree with Vivian on this one.  I was worried about wasting time, about not doing anything to try and find the rest of my family, but..."  Artemis grimaces as he recalls the impromptu reunion with Mercury.
Vivian Vivian furrows a brow. Who?
Sarah Blossom not temperamental, just one protective girl for her pokemon, don't test her"we won't waste time..vivian had you told me you wanted to get back to your trainer....well you  like i said remind me of someone...every trip has hiccups...but we're making it through height
Giga (Danica) "...the ultra fast Absol, right? He had a bell, didn't he? Sounds pretty similar to what was happening at Lilac Town..."
Sarah Blossom "yeah that absol was wicked fast!
Giga (Danica) "...dare I ask, but are any more members of your family special snowflakes like him?"
Vivian Vivian types on her phone, eyes apparently disenchanted with the conversation. And here I thought you all just forgot about me. she continues typing, not looking up. By the way, next time there's a trap, try a little harder not to let us get captured.
Giga (Danica) gives Sarah a certain look. :/
Sarah Blossom looks away i was looking! i didn't detect anything!...looks away pouts i have a hard time seeing at times..these goggles are gonna make like easier...
Giga (Danica) "Remind me to upgrade the Trap Harvester next time we're in Casia..."
Sarah Blossom "yeah snivy was wondering about it...you never got to speak to him i guess
Giga (Danica) "Corwyn did rush us out of town pretty quickly..."
Sarah Blossom "yeah..i wasn't to happy about that..
Vivian Vivian scowls, as loud clacking emanates. He doesn't seem keen on warning us about traps, either. She continues. I think we should consider throwing them overboard before we get to the place.
Giga (Danica) "Big problem though, they know where the hell we are. And where the Temple is, at that fact..."
Sarah Blossom "viv..you..do know they can swim right?
Artemis the Absol "I didn't expect to meet with Mercury like that--that 'ultra fast Absol' as Danica put it."  Artemis says, nodding to Vivian as he explains.  "Mnh...a lot of them tend to have markings like that.  Gilgamesh is a bit like me, more of an all around-er.  Scathach--Scatty--specializes in bladed weapons.   Bit weird for an Absol, but..."   Another violent wave rocks the boat, and Arty's face turns even more green.  "I'll...be right back.  See if I can't find more of those little tablets Kevin gave me..."   Down below deck he goes--holy shit IRWIN DON'T DIE BRO.
Vivian How well can they swim while packed into a storage crate?
Giga (Danica) "Vivian please, I'd rather not get lost at sea after a mutiny..."
Sarah Blossom smirks save your evil for later..use that on plasma for me ok dear?
Vivian Who?
Sarah Blossom "oh sorry..eherm..those evil goons who kidnapped us before
Vivian I'm supposed to fight evil with evil? Doesn't it add up to being one big evil?
Giga (Danica) "The recruitment standard has really gone down in the last year..."
Sarah Blossom "heh, it's because they all made a mad dash for world ending team flare*she jokes
Vivian Vivi shrugs. Team this, team that. Is everyone on a team these days?
Giga (Danica) "Apparently? Heck, technically we're our own team at this point..." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Sarah Blossom "yeah but we're the good guys!
Vivian Says the absol bully. Vivi gives a blunt look as the message plays.
Giga (Danica) "Well, personally I'd rather keep Plasma from essentially killing people mentally..." "And uh, from accidentally destroying the fabric of time, or messing with things that they shouldn't..."
Sarah Blossom "hah..least your team isn't trying to start a war that could end all humanity
Irwin *Irwin lies at the bottom of the stairs, watching as the silhouette of the Mega Absol descends toward him*  ...An angel...? *his eyes take a moment to adjust* .......oh........
Artemis the Absol The Disaster Pokemon waves a paw in front of his face, pulling and tugging him back up to his feet.  "They warned you about those stairs, man.  What with how rickety and shaky this ship can--urp."  He quickly cuts off his chiding, a wave of nausea hitting him.  "Ok, nevermind.  Let's get to Kevin.  Get you checked out and get seasickness away.  Seasick bad."
Irwin Thanks.  *Irwin sways, and leans up against Artemis steady himself* You're not... looking too hot yourself there.
Artemis the Absol "L-like I said.  Kevin can help."  Artemis murmurs, biting his lip and rolling his shoulders, letting the Quilava rest a bit more of his weight against his side.  He's a big boy floof, he can handle this.   A few twists and turns later and Arty noses the far door open... aaaand no Kevin?  Lovely.   "Sonofa..."
Irwin That's okay... *he stumbles his way to one of the beds* Only medicine I need... is a bucket... *he practically falls into the bed* and some water...     I'm no...  sissy... How 'bout you?  You need me... to take care of you? *he chuckles a bit, but it quickly turns to heaving*
Artemis the Absol Arty shakes his head and grins, giving him a light pet on the back before moving to rummage through some of the things on Kevin's desk.  They're sure to be there somewher---aha!  "Oh thank Arceus."  He murmurs, spearing the old, oooooold packet of tablets with a claw.  "Saw him take one of these earlier.  I asked about it and he said they help with seasickness...  bit odd for a Water-type to have, but he did say he used to be human...somehow..."  The Dark-type shrugs, confused--though now really isn't the time to fiddle with that.  NOMF.
Irwin Well hey!  Don't hog 'em... *he stretches his arm out as far as he can without moving his body*
Artemis the Absol "Since you asked so nicely."  He deadpans right back, spearing a second one and plopping it down into his outstretched paw.  "Enjoy."  Artemis says, grinning to himself.  "I'll go ahead and head back up.  See you there?"
Irwin *he stuffs the pill in his mouth and rolls onto his back to help him swallow* Nyeh... Yeah... I'll just... give it a chance to kick in.
Artemis the Absol Arty pauses for a moment, then nods back to the Fire-type, flaring out his wings to keep his balance as he pushes through the ship's winding corridors.  Only a few minutes had passed since he'd left before he finally pokes his head up above deck.  "And back.   Irwin should be here shortly."
Sarah Blossom looks backpoor irwin..i feel bad he's getting so sea sick
Artemis the Absol "Eh, dunno why Kevin didn't' give him any of those lil' pill thingies, then."  Artemis says nonchalantly, shuffling his 'wings'.
Sarah Blossom "well..i guess not...i got a little dizzy at first..but i'm fine now
Irwin *Irwin carefully climbs back up the stairs and greets the others* Hey guys, I'm feeling... a lot... *he runs back to the railing and throws up*
Artemis the Absol Artemis can't help but frown at that.  Maybe they simply aren't as effective for the Fireself?  "Eh, give it a bit to kick in...I guess.  Where were we, again?  Something about...special snowflakes?"
Sarah Blossom "that was all dani
Artemis the Absol "Where'd she wander off to...?  Odd."  Artemis murmurs, frowning and shaking his head with a scowl.  All over the place, this team.  "Was there something you wanted to know, then?  You had that kinda look on your face."  He says, gesturing vaguely towards her.
Sarah Blossom "what me?....well...you seemed...bitter at trainers specifically..
Artemis the Absol "Forgive me if I'm distrustful of humans."  The Dark-type says, growling and baring his fangs.  "Especially since this group we're fighting, all the humans turned Pokemon, they were 'Trainers' too, weren't they?"
Artemis the Absol Artemis rolls his eyes and shakes his head, snapping his jaws shut menacingly.  "And how, exactly, is that any different than the rest of you, beating them to near unconsciousness and taking them from their homes?!"
Irwin Hey hey hey!  Don't snap at her!  I know you just went through something horrible, and I'd be mad too, but we need to be able to trust each other if we're going to make it through whatever's ahead of us. I'm not a trainer, so if that's what's nagging you most, then at least trust me to start. *he leans back against the railing and closes his eyes* And try to keep in mind that this isn't just about your tribe, or my team.  We've seen others being controlled like your friend back there, including a family of young Totodile.  We need to work together to stop this.
Artemis the Absol Arty growls, but he can't deny the logic in his words.  "When we get to shore, we're going to need to have one hell of a heart-to-heart.  And no, NO PUNS!"  He says, quickly regretting his choice of words.  "That's...only for very close friends and loved ones."
Irwin *Irwin looks like he's about to say something, but instead he just slumps down and sits on the deck* If you don't want to talk any more right now, I won't make you.  But don't judge us.  Some of us have been through a lot.  At least let our future actions speak for us.
Adrian St. Artiel "How are we different?" Adrian, with worn bound sketchbook in hand and propped up against the mast, glances nonchalantly at the agitated absol before shifting his gaze back to his work. "For starters, we aren't ALL trainers."
Artemis the Absol Arty stops to the far side of the deck, tail swishing angrily through the air, and he digs his claws into the railing.  "Fine.   Fine..."  He murmurs, lidding his eyes and forcing himself to take a few deep breaths.  That's the other reason he doesn't Mega Evolve often-otional.  "If you're not trainers, then what ARE you?"
Irwin ... *he looks up to the sky* We're Team Wayfinder.  Visitors from various lands, on a mission to rescue and protect the inhabitants of Casia from Team Plasma.
Adrian St. Artiel "I can't speak for the rest, but I've never captured nor battled with a single pokemon... least not until becoming one."
Irwin Same here.  I've almost never even interacted with Pokemon growing up.  I don't even know what type of Pokemon you are, now that you've evolved.  This shouldn't matter though.  I'm not saying we're perfect.  We're all flawed, and will do dumb things, but we're trying our best. We never asked to come here, but we all chose to stay to help. Anyway.... How's that drawing coming along, Adrian?
Giga (Danica) climbs back down from the Crow's nest
Adrian St. Artiel "Adequately." he responds, half brushing the poor fire type off and half too disheartened in his work to respond otherwise.
Artemis the Absol "From my understanding, that Team is what you became after getting stuck here."  He says, putting a bit of a point on it.  "Even so... you...mngh."  Artemis stifles a swear.  Why are words eluding him this evening?   Damnit!  "As for what Pokemon I am, I'm still me.  Still an Absol.  Can't even fly with these things, as much as I might want to."   The Dark-type says, gesturing to and fluttering those 'wings' of his.  "Temporary boost in strength, to put it simply."
Giga (Danica) "Honestly, it's not something I see in Unova very often..." "...or at all..."
Irwin I... can't say I follow.  It happened at a good time at least.  Speaking of which, I'm sorry you had to fight your friend back there. *he holds his paws together and stares at the deck* I don't think I'd have the heart to do that. *he trails off and begins mumbling to himself* If I had known Jack was......
Artemis the Absol Arty tenses up and shoots him a pained grin, baring his fangs once more.  "Bit closer than just 'friend', but I appreciate the concern.  Mercury's my half-brother.  Same mom"  He explains simply.  "And now he's disappeared after that fight... I KNEW I should've...!"
Giga (Danica) "Whoa now!" steps in a bit closer "Look, judging from how you're reacting, I'd say he's pretty close to you, huh? ...we'll find them. If we've run into him once, then I'm more than certain we'll find him again, and more than likely, we'll find the rest of your family not far behind..." Irwin *Irwin stares off in the distance, now with a wide eyes expression of shock* He was your... actual brother?? *he curls up a bit, looking pretty depressed* I... you... *he pauses as he tries to find the words* ...I'm... so sorry.  Don't worry, I'm sure he OK...  If he got away, then he must be.
Artemis the Absol "Maybe not as close as most other families, but with how much we both care for Mom, yeah, we're close."  Artemis says, trying and failing to stifle a low sniffle.  He'd been strong and brave during the fight, but adrenaline was on his side then.  "As glad as I was to see him, to get some kind of a clue, with how he was acting, with those other...twins?  Copies of him?"  He says, stamping a paw on the deck.  "Part of me is afraid to see what they've done with the others.  He was always fast, but THAT kind of speed... I've never seen nor heard of anything that quick, nor strong.  Maybe...once, twice I've seen something even getting close to that level."
Giga (Danica) "Hmm... I wonder... he had a bell around his neck, right? That Dewott at Lilac... he had one too, and I remember he was trying to get it off of him..."
Irwin If that's true... we should at least try and get that off of him.  Though you weren't wearing a bell when you fell under their control Danica.  As for his speed, we have seen a lot of fast Pokemon when dealing with Team Plasma.  They were doing research on manipulating time, back when they had that staff Adrian carries with him.  I wonder if they learned how to do it without the amulet... If we do have to fight him again, I think Adrian can get him down to a manageable speed. Maybe we can even capture him safely.
Giga (Danica) "Speaking of those powers... try not to get into too much trouble. I haven't been able to use mine after what happened at Town..."
Irwin Did you use it in town?  I hadn't even noticed.
Giga (Danica) "...that's because I used it on you Irwin..."
Irwin ..what? *he laughs* Did I fall into the well or something?
Giga (Danica) "Well... you aren't wrong about the water part, let's put it that way..."
Artemis the Absol "If we're lucky enough to get that to work...  And that's assuming that it's the bell that's causing it."  Arty retorts, glancing between Dani and Irwin, canting his head.  Why in the world is she not telling him?  Sure, he got fucked up, but it's not like he was the only one who got hurt that night, either.
Adrian St. Artiel "The powers we gained are likely tied to the temple of time."  Adrian muses, still scritching away at his pad with what would appear to be charcoal. "The fact that I was given the staff is likely the only reason we still have them. If I had to hazard a guess, I'd also assume the temple of faith is where froslass and plasma have been pulling this bell trick from." Adrian glances over at Irwin, somewhat unnerved. "You really haven't figured it out yet? Really? Think. You've seen how her power works. And more importantly you saw the look on Sarah's face that day. It shouldn't have taken you this long to put two and two together."
Irwin Eesh.  You guys are always so cryptic.  It's like with the thing about the water.  Why am I always the last to hear about stuff?
Giga (Danica) "Ehehh... I swear I meant to let you guys know about the water sooner..."
Adrian St. Artiel "It's not cryptic Irwin. It's rather simple actually. You died. Congratulations."
Giga (Danica) "Well, you got pretty close..." shudders at the memory
Artemis the Absol Artemis nods grimly, only to let out a low yawn.  "Well, maybe not died, but--yes."  He turns his gaze up to the stars and the moon above--has it gotten that late already?  It must be past midnight, easily.  "I'm going to head below deck to grab an hour or so of sleep before my watch and meditation.  Good night, you three."  He says, yawning once more and dipping his head.
Irwin And so you give me sarcasm instead.  Right.   Wait, pretty close?   ... W-wait.  OK, just say it, what happened?
Adrian St. Artiel "Whether you choose to believe me or not is up to you. I won't repeat myself."
Giga (Danica) "Well, you decided to go after Primarina, who then hit you with a wateris- Attack and... well... yeah... it looked like it hurt, to say the least..."
Adrian St. Artiel *Adrian nods and waves at the absol as he leaves
Irwin *He looks at Danica, then Adrian.  He looks concerned, to say the least* S-so which was it?? *he gets up to his feet* Did I... die?  ...or not?  Am I like Eddie now?? *and turns back to the water* Tharina...
Giga (Danica) "First off; no, you aren't dead. Second of all, you got close. From what I've seen, the effects more or less got reversed when I pulled off the wibbly-wobblyeyey shit again."
Irwin So if you hadn't been there... if the mind control hadn't been broken... I... hrrp... *vom over the railing*
Adrian St. Artiel "Dani's power reverses the flow of time for someone for a set amount of time, just like how mine slows it, like messing with the playback on an old cassette. When she found you... as you were you were too far gone for normal healing measures so we essentially cheated, and made it so that for you, the whole thing never happened."
Adrian St. Artiel "But it did happen, and we did all see the results of you failing to control yourself."
Irwin *Irwin wipes his mouth, lurches over to Danica, and gives her a hug* Th-thank you, then... for saving me...
Giga (Danica) returns the hug "Well, I couldn't just leave you there... It wouldn't be right..."
Irwin Failing to control myself...?  I don't even know what I did.  *he turns around and begins to sulk off* I... need to go... process... for a bit...
Giga (Danica) nods solemnly "No worries, if you need to talk to one of us though, just say the word."
Irwin *he waves limply without turning around*
Adrian St. Artiel *softly, so as to not have Irwin hear "He had to find out sooner or later."
Giga (Danica) at the same volume as Adrian "Admittedly, he took it significantly better than I expected..." leans back over the rails and sights
Adrian St. Artiel "He's definitely the most tolerable of the group, but damned if he isn't oblivious as hell most of the time... ugh." Frustratedly, Adrian rips the page he was working on out of his notebook, crinkles it up and tosses it over the side of the ship.
Giga (Danica) "...no luck?"
Adrian St. Artiel "Not exactly. Just... something I shouldn't be thinking about right now." He sighs and puts his art kit and supplies back in his bag. "I'm heading in too. Likely going to be a while till we hit land. Might as well try to get something vaguely resembling sleep."
Giga (Danica) "No worries. I'll keep watch then..." Waits for Adrian to start moving off before chiming in again. "...Hey Adrian? I need you to be honest with me, do you think we made the right choice in... staying here?"
Adrian St. Artiel Adrian looks back over his shoulder and raises an eyebrow."Hmmm? Oh that? Well, to be honest... No. We probably didn't. But at the same time, I don't think it really matters." "Something tells me leaving wouldn't have been the simple matter that Absolute eaking it out as. We'd likely be pursued by plasma anyhow, whether we were human or pokemon, simply because we were here, and we have seen what's been going on. You think a place like this would stay as is if the whole of the outside world knew about it? Plus I've begun to suspect that Absolute and Moira aren't quite as all powerful here as the think. There's more to it. Stuff they're either not telling us, or don't know themselves. Least from what I've gathered. And also..."
Giga (Danica) "Hmm?" turns to look at Adrian more clearly
Adrian St. Artiel "I don't think I CAN leave. Not yet anyway. Just personally. Being here has made me... remember things. Ironic right? Things that I haven't thought about in a while. Things I didn't want to think about. I think, for a good long while before coming here, I haven't really been trying to think at all. At least not about myself or what I was doing. I kind of just... kept moving, not looking nor caring where I was going cause it felt like if I stopped, everything I left behind would eventually catch up and I'd have to answer for a lot of.... well, let's just say lapses in judgement and leave it at that. But here... it's different." "The outside world can't touch us in here, at least not directly. It's like someone pressed pause on life, and then gave us the time, for better or for worse, to think things over, and try to make sense of where we are. At least, that's what I've been trying to do. I know I can't go back to the way I was, not really. I've at least realized at this point that I was going nowhere, and keeping a lot of things bottled up. And so I've decided that, before I even consider heading back, that I would figure out just where I went wrong and to make plan to at least try and fix things... whatever that might entail."
Giga (Danica) "...guess we're in the same boat then." looks out at the sea. "I don't know what's going to happen to us here... Hell, I can't even guarantee our own physical safety... And there's only one thing that I'm completely certain about." looks up to the stars. "That once we leave, once this whole crazy adventure is over, we're never going to be the same people we were beforehand, like you said, be it for better or for worse... Between you and me Adrian, I don't have a lot waiting for me back home. Main reason I'm not accepting staying here... well, I've got things I still need to do as Danica." grips onto the railing. "...I can't afford to falter in my duties... not when... not when the alternative is... when failure is..." Frowns, then shakes head in frustration. "...Not when there's so much at stake." "But enough of that. Tell you all what, I've got a decent amount saved up. Once we're done with this place, how about we all go on a trip to Alola? Or something, either way, getting away from all the world's stresses sounds pretty good right now."
Adrian St. Artiel "Hah. We'll see. First we have to make it through the night. And on that note-" Adrian turns and waves behind him. "-I'm off. Take care Dani."
Giga (Danica) "Heh, night Adrian. I'll keep watch and let you guys know when I see land."
Adrian St. Artiel Adrian gives a thumbs up (Or at least, the smeargle equivalent of one) as he descends the ladder into the ship's depths, but says nothing else, disappearing from view.
...
Out of the corner of your eye, over the railing, a glimmer of moonlight reflects off something and catches your attention.
Giga (Danica) "Hm?" Tries taking a look at what's reflecting the light...
Adrian St. Artiel You peer over the side and for a split second, you spot a patch of white amidst the dark ocean below. A face, a human one maybe, hard to make out from distance and darkness and saturation, stares back at you from just slightly beneath the water's surface, inscribed on a crumpled up wad of paper that is slowly unraveling itself, bleeding black clouds of water and coal as it sinks below the surface. You only get a quick glimpse of it, what you are able to make out, before the passing wave sweeps it behind the boat and out of sight: Long hair, tied in a pony tail. A bright smile, nearly erased by the waves. And the letter K...
Giga (Danica) Dani's brow furrows in confusion. "What on...?" ((Cue intuition roll!)) !roll 4d6
RPBotBOT @Giga (Danica) rolled 18. (2 + 5 + 6 + 5 = 18)
Adrian St. Artiel While the girl depicted is not familiar to you in any way, the material she was drawn on is. In fact, you're fairly certain you saw a teammate of yours huck a similarly sized, if not identical wad of paper over the edge moments prior. What this means however, is a mystery to you. You can say this much at least: from what you could still see (and water damage aside) the picture looked very realistic. And very detailed. Painstakingly so.
Giga (Danica) "...oh geez..." looks over to where Adrian was earlier and then frowns, before climbing back up onto the crow's nest to keep watch over the horizon/surroundings. "...there really is way too much at stake for us, huh?" ((Uh... end RP?))

Silver’s Skater Girl Chapter 7: The Gym and a New Friend
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokémon or anything associated with Pokémon. I own Calypso, Monica, and JC, though.
*Calypso's far off yell* "You do not!"
***
Considering that I stayed up until around 2AM last night, I woke up rather early in the morning. I got up at around 9AM, but only because the sunlight from outside was pouring in through the window, and directly at my face. I couldn't stand the heat on my face, so I grudgingly got up, got a shower, and woke up all of the Pokémon, with the exception of Forest, who has been awake since dawn.
At the moment, my Pokémon and I are at the dining area of the Pokémon Center having breakfast. Luckily for us, breakfast at Pokémon Centers are always free. Otherwise, I'd probably be having leftover chips and salsa for breakfast. Instead, I'm having cereal.
After all of us finish breakfast, I head out towards the Pokémon Gym. Cyndi is walking by my side, while Forest is sitting on my back, his vines wrapped around my neck in a piggy-back ride fashion. Forest and I have bonded enough that I can now understand him when he talks, though he has a thick accent that makes it slightly difficult to understand him.
As promised, he's helping me come up with battle strategies for the Gym Battle against Falkner. Seeing as he's a Grass Type, he won't be battling. We've decided that it would be best to use Cyndi and Dusk for the battle. Cyndi's the most powerful of all of them, especially with her firepower, while Dusk has a type advantage against Normal Type Pokémon like Pidgey, which I'm quite sure Falkner could use.
We finally get to the Gym. I stop in front of the door, pausing to stare at it for a moment before finally going in. When I get in there, I see no one except for one guy standing next to two Pokémon statues.
I walk up to him, a confused look on my face. "You can't be the Gym Leader, can you? No offense, but you don't look like the kind of guy who would be a Gym Leader."
The guy just laughs, and responds, "You're right, I'm not the Gym Leader. I am, however, here to help you in beating the Gym Leader."
I gaze at him quizzically. "You want to help me beat the Gym Leader, huh? Well, it would help if the Gym Leader was actually here."
"The Gym Leader is here. Just look up."
I do as he says, and raise my head towards the ceiling. Then, it all makes sense. My eyes widen at the size of the platform at the top of the Gym. I can see the wooden floor of the platform, along with glass parts that extend around the wooden part. I look back to the guy, an astonished expression on my face.
"The Gym Leader is all the way up there?"
The guy nods knowingly, and addresses me. "So, Champ-in-the-making, Falkner is a Flying type trainer. Grass Types are weak against Flying Types", he says as he gestures to Forest, who still has his vines wrapped around my neck, "I hope you're not going to battle Falkner using that Bellsprout."
My eyes narrow. "Of course not. While Forest is a great Pokémon, he's not suited for this Gym. I know what I'm doing. Now would you do me a favor, and tell me how I can get to Falkner? It would much appreciated."
My annoyed, yet slightly angry tone makes the man sweat in anxiety. I can see him gulp, his Adam's apple showing, before he points to a section on the floor that has a Poké Ball on it, and is a moderately different type of wood than the rest of the floor.
"Step on that, and it will take you up to the platform where Falkner will be waiting for you. Good luck."
I nod. Cyndi, Forest, and I step on the square, and suddenly, it starts rising rapidly! I almost lose my balance, but quickly manage to regain it. It takes little more than 30 seconds before we are all the way at the top.
There is a wooden walkway in a "S" shape that allows the two gym trainers to see you if you walk on it. Then, there is a translucent glass walkway that allows you to skip the gym trainers if you wish. I decide to battle them since experience never hurts. There are two trainers. The first one only has a Spearow that Cyndi defeats with two Ember attacks. The second one has two Pidgeys, which Dusk takes out with a few Psywaves.
We walk to the final platform, where the Gym Leader is looking at us. I know his name is Falkner, and that his specialty is Flying type Pokémon, but other than that, I don't know much about him. He is tall, probably just a little under six foot, and has a stable looking body structure. His dark blue hair is shaggy, and part of it hangs over his blue eyes. I might have found him attractive if he wasn't smirking at me in the most irritatingly way possible.
We finally get close enough to speak to him. He is still smirking, and goes on to say,
"It's impressive, the way you took out my students' Pokémon."
I smirk back, and respond, "Yeah, and I didn't even use an Electric type to do it."
Falkner stiffens at my reference to Flying Pokémons' weakness to electricity. An irritated frown appears on his face, and he stands up straight.
"I'm Falkner, the Violet City Pokémon Gym Leader! People say you can clip Flying-type Pokémon's wings with a jolt of electricity... I won't allow such insults to bird Pokémon! I'll show you the real power of the magnificent bird Pokémon!"
He sends out a Pidgey, and I roll my eyes. Easy. I send out Dusk, who looks excited at the prospect of battling a Gym Leader.
Falkner looks at Dusk with fear in his dark blue eyes. I know what we are both thinking: His Pidgey doesn't know any non-Normal offensive move, so he can't do any direct damage to Dusk. So, instead, he decides to defend.
"Pidgey, use your Sand Attack!" Pidgey goes to shoot sand in Dusk's face, but it doesn't affect her whatsoever.
"Wha—", Falkner says, shocked.
I smirk in triumph. "Dusk has the ability, Levitate! Any ground type moves used against her won't have any effect at all", I say smugly. Then, I tell Dusk to use her Psywave attack.
Both Falkner and his Pidgey try to cover their ears as Dusk's loud screech sends a wave of Psychic energy towards the Pidgey. It doesn't knock it out, but causes considerable damage to it.
Falkner looks at me with both amazement and annoyance. He then makes the wisest decision he can to shift the battle so he's winning.
"Pidgey, return! Pidgeotto, assist us!"
His half-defeated Pidgey returns to its Poké Ball with relief on it's face while the newly released Pidgeotto is glaring at Dusk and I. I don't think it likes the condition we put its comrade into.
"Pidgeotto, use Gust", Falkner says in urgency.
The Gust hits Dusk straight on, and I know she's not strong enough to withstand it, especially with it being a Flying type move coming from a Flying type Pokémon with high stats. She floats slowly to the ground, where she lies, not knocked out, but almost down. Falkner goes to attack her again, but I recall her before the Pidgeotto does any damage.
"I'm sorry, Dusk. Good job", I whisper as I put her Dusk Ball back onto my belt. Falkner is smirking once again, and I want to smack him for it.
"Now who's the one with one Pokémon nearly fainted", he says smugly. I just roll my eyes.
"Yeah, but remember: You have two Pokémon, and I have four. I outnumber you two to one."
Falkner clenches his teeth in annoyance. I raise my eyebrows, and send Cyndi to deal with his Pidgeotto.
"Cyndi, use your Ember attack!"
Cyndi shoots a fire ball at the Pidgeotto, and hits it straight on. It does considerable damage, but it doesn't come close to knocking it out.
Falkner commands his Pidgeotto to use Gust. I tell Cyndi to dodge it, but she isn't quick enough, and she gets hit. I know if we don't take out Pidgeotto quickly, we're going to be in some deep shit.
"Cyndi, use Ember, and then use Quick Attack!"
Cyndi sends an Ember towards Pidgeotto, which hits it directly. Falkner gasps as Cyndi goes in for the knockout move. Pidgeotto tries to dodge Cyndi's Quick Attack, but it is too hurt from from the Ember to move very far. Cyndi hits it dead on, and the Pidgeotto falls to the floor, fainted.
Falkner gasps , and recalls Pidgeotto. I can hear him whisper praise to it as he switches it out for his half defeated Pidgey.
Cyndi wants to fight some more, but she is hurt from Pidgeotto's Gust attack.
"Come on, Cyndi. I can tell Pidgeotto hurt you. You did a good job out there. It's time for a nice rest."
I convince her to go back in her Poké Ball.
"What, don't you think your Quilava can take on my Pidgey? Or is it too weak?"
I roll my eyes yet again, and respond quite dryly, "No, not too weak. Too tired. I hate to admit it, but your Pidgeotto's Gust really put a beating on Cyndi. So instead of her possibly fainting, I'm going to have another one of my Pokémon take a shot at it."
I then release Spirit from her Poké Ball, who doesn't like the intense light of the gym. It is obvious that she was taking a nap. She looks at me questioningly, but I just give her a look that says, "Come on, please?" She hops off my shoulder, and glares at the reason she had to wake up from her nap.
The weakened Pidgey looks scared, but Falkner looks at Spirit with a certain type of fondness in his eyes.
"So you also use the Flying type", he says fondly.
I glance at him, and reply, "Well, yeah. They're a staple type for any Pokémon Trainer. Now, Spirit, finish Falkner's Pidgey off with a Faint Attack!"
Spirit disappears, and Pidgey is looking for her. Spirit strikes behind the Pidgey's back, and the Pidgey faints. I cheer, and Spirit cheers along with me.
Falkner looks at his Pokémon on the ground, and back at me. He recalls his fallen Pokémon, and then slowly approaches me.
"I did not get your name before we started battle. What is it", he asks.
"Calypso."
He stretches his arm out, and in his hand is a silver badge with a wing pattern on it.
"The Zephyr Badge. You deserve it Calypso."
I smile at Falkner, and take the Zephyr Badge from his hand.
"Thanks, Falkner."
He smiles again, and says something about the gyms ahead. Something about a gym in Azalea Town, I think? Then, he hands me a technical machine.
"What's this for", I ask.
"It's the TM for the move Roost. Roost heals your Pokémon when you use it. Put it to good use!"
I grin, and say, "Thanks Falkner. I'm sure it'll come in handy."
And with that, I leave the gym.
The second I walk out the gym, I get a call from Professor Elm.
"Hello, Calypso."
"Hey, Professor."
"Calypso, remember the Pokémon Egg you delivered to me from Mr. Pokémon?"
"Yeah. What about it?"
"Well… apparently, the Egg will only hatch if it is near other active Pokémon."
"And?"
"I need you to take the Egg. One of my aides is in the Poké Mart in Violet City. He has the Egg. Go get it from him, and carry it around with you as you journey around. When it hatches, come show me what type of Pokémon it is. Do you think you could that for me?"
I sweatdrop a little, but then nod in acceptance.
"I can do that, Professor. I'll go get the Egg right now."
"Thanks, Calypso! I know I can count on you."
Then he hangs up.
I walk over the Poké Mart, which is almost next to the gym. I go inside, and see the Aide waiting for me.
"How long have you been waiting here for me?"
The Aide smiles gratefully, and replies, "Not very long, Calypso. I'm just glad you're here. Now, the Professor told you why you're here, correct?"
"Yeah. I'm supposed to pick up the Pokémon Egg, right?"
"Yes", he says as he takes the Egg out of the bag he is carrying and hands it to me. I almost forgot what it looks like. It is a beige color with a red and blue triangle pattern on it. He also hands me a cloth thing with straps on it.
"What is this", I question.
"That", he replies with a smile on his face, "is a device I created myself. It's for carrying Pokémon Eggs! Here, I'll show you how to put it on!"
He takes the Egg from me, and puts it back in his bag. Then, he loops the straps around my arms. When he's done, there's a pouch for the Egg to be carried in.
He gets the Egg back out, and puts it in the pouch.
"There! Aww, Calypso, you look like the perfect surrogate mother!"
Then, the Aide says goodbye, and leaves me in the Poké Mart with the Egg.
I rub my hand over the Egg, and it feels slightly warm. I wonder when it will hatch?
I walk out of the Poké Mart, and go to the Pokémon Center, where the clone heals my Pokémon. Then, I start walking towards Route 32.
I just crossed into Route 32, where I caught Forest not too long ago. Speaking of Forest, I have him walking on my right side right now, while Cyndi is walking on my left side. Both Spirit and Dusk are in their Poké Balls, still tired from the gym battle. They also don't like the sunlight that Route 32 has at the moment.
There's a middle-aged bald guy who blocks me from going through the rest of the route. He smiles at me, and it creeps me out a little. He then looks at Forest and Cyndi, and he smiles again.
"Your Pokémon look really strong! Did you train them at the Violet City Gym?"
I give him my best creeped out look, and I respond slowly, "Yeah… Why?"
"Oh, nothing. Here, I'll give this to you for beating the Gym! It's a Miracle Seed. It boosts the power of grass type moves!"
He hands me the seed, and steps aside so I can pass through. It looks normal, so I give it to Forest.
I traveled along the route, battling all of the trainers, and even some wild Pokémon. I got some phone numbers from a few trainers, too.
I got one from a gossipy girl named Liz who I will enjoy calling in the middle of the night, and one from a fisherman named Ralph, who apparently spends more time with his Pokémon than with his own kids.
It is in the evening by the time I am almost to the Pokémon Center. I go to walk by this creepy looking fat guy, but he stops me.
"How would you like to buy a deliciousss…", he slurps as he says this part, which makes me cringe, "Slowpoke tail? For you, only 1,000,000! How about it?"
I know that people eat Pokémon all the time, but just the thought of someone cutting off a Slowpoke's tail just for consumption really pisses me off. Imagine the pain that poor Slowpoke is in now, if it isn't dead! Not to mention, the price is unreasonably high for even the richest Pokémon Trainer!
"Uh… how about no? Where did you even get that thing, anyway?"
He narrows his eyes, and yells at me to get out of here.
Um… how about fuck you? He's such a creep.
"Cool", I say sarcastically, "See ya, you creep!"
He looks ready to run after me, but Cyndi sends a glare his way. He falters for a second, and Cyndi uses that moment to expose the flames on her back. He runs off, looking scared.
"Nice work, Cyndi. Now I know that creeper won't be stalking us the rest of the way."
She grins in amusement, and rubs her head against my leg. I lean down and run my fingers through her fur. She leans her head against my hand in affection. I also lean down with my other hand, and pet Forest's head. He grabs my hand with his leaves, and shakes my hand.
It is around seven in the evening when we arrive at the Route 32 Pokémon Center. Cyndi and Forest look tired, and I'm actually kind of tired, too.
We enter the Pokémon Center, and I hear both a gasp of joy and a growl of annoyance.
And with those two noises, I knew my night wasn't going to be a night of relaxation, whatsoever.
