Wicked is as close to a perfect film as any I have seen (and I say that as an enormous fan of the stage play), and I would not change a single thing about it. But the biggest thing it drove home for me is how badly Marvel has trained me to accept the least amount of effort in set design and costuming. Because Wicked is so incredibly lush and gorgeous and immersive. The details are realistic because they're real items, the sets have physicality and weight because so much of them are real sets, not props on a green stage. And don't get me started on the costumes.

10/10, no notes, this movie has just rocketed to my top ten faves and I am currently convincing my doesn't-like-musicals roommate that she needs to see it so I have an excuse to go again.
