I've gone down a rabbithole of batman and robin comic books and I will make that everyone else's problem
#melon rambles#this post is mostly just a warning before I spam reblog stuff later#I'll probably tag it with dc#I've spent like the past week trying to figure out where to even start with the comics#somehow dc rebooting the series a couple times to make it easier for newcomers#has in fact made it so much more difficult to find stuff in chronological order#but so far I've gotten through dick's backstory + some of the nightwing stuff#jason's backstory (which I really thought was going to be more complicated than he steals tires and bruce immediately adopts him)#and I finished death in the family and a lonely place to die and now I'm moving on to more tim stuff#I quite like it so far!#I thought I'd mostly end up reading the post 2000 stuff because I liked the artstyle and stories more#but then I couldn't really find many people's backstories in the newer comics?#most of Jason's origin stuff and time as robin seems to only be in like the 80's comics#so I've been reading almost entirely 80's and 90's comics#and I've enjoyed them more than I expected#also shout out to this one pirating site and my library they're the real mvps#between the two I've managed to find every comic I've looked for
