9-1-1 Lone Star Season 1 Soundtrack reflection

Overall I really liked the soundtrack. They had some really emotional songs and some funny ones too. I mean Owen listening to Willow Smith- Whip my hair was pretty funny. But oh my! Liv Tyler has a beautiful voice. And I sorta really dug those country songs for some reason. And they also didn`t overuse the music to enhance certain scenes, I felt they used their music in the right moments.

But my favorite song from S1 was in E10 and was by: SOKO - We Might Be Dead By Tomorrow.

The song came on while Grace was on a call with Tom a astronaut, who was dying of radiation poisoning. She put him on the line with his wife and daughter and they said their goodbyes. And man that scene killed me.

But the lyrics of the song were so fitting and made me reflect on my own life.

“Give me all your love now  Cause for all we know  We might be dead by tomorrow”

This verse made me think that I need to tell the people I love the most, now! and never waste another minute not telling them how I feel about them.

“But if you're not ready for love  How can you be ready for life?”

Yes, because in someway I do believe everything in live is connected to love.

“So let's love fully and let's love loud  And let's love now  Cause soon enough we'll die”

Yes, in a way like “all the way or no way” kinda love. Because if anything the last year has shown me, it is my own mortality and that life is short. So I`ve got to live in the now and live life to the fullest extent.

And also the quiet melody and the calming effect of the song are such a beautiful thing.

And another song I loved was in S1 E8. It was by Gloriettta - Someday 

TK and Owen have that conversation where TK admits he loves Buttercup and he is scared Owen is going to die.

“Someday, someday I won't recognize you You won't recognize me”

In a way that is true. One day we`ll die and I wont remember you and you me neither. But it could also be said for a past lover, someday one will get over that person and forget them.

“Tonight, gonna find a whole new reason  Tonight, to keep puttin' off leavin' you”

I feel like you do that everyday holding onto a lover, asking youself the question should I leave or not and most of the time you just wait when that flame ( your love) will be extinguished. May it be because of the death of your Lover or because that Lover wasn`t meant to be.

good morning, saturday!

whats up you guys i am up and out and about with my mom here in makati for some breakfast and just a girl’s day out after a really draggy week

we went to salcedo market for the first time and i swear to god you guys if marami lang akong pera id buy so much food and produce from there every single day kasi feel ko fresh talaga saka i love the ambience of the place

also were having some breakfast in wildflour which was literally just a 3 minute walk from salcedo park and i love it, that makati always reminds me of new york thats why i wanna live here someday

but yeah other than that we’ll also be heading on over to glorietta in a bit to look at some bits and pieces and yeah i just hope you guys are having a lovely day like i am!

Expectation vs. Reality Yes, i am sad, frustrated, and bummed that even my shogatsu 2021 trip back to kansai has been canceled due to the pandemic, aside from my other planned one, but what can i do aside from crying and praying for better days? Lang Leav is an internationally bestselling author and social media sensation. She writes poems and prose about love, and anything that inspires her.

I first heard of her name in the Goodreads Award last 2015, her first book won!

This is the line at Glorietta, we came here around 8:30am and as per the coordinators, the participants are already 500! **Note: they will accommodate 1000 participants only.

While waiting for the event, we attend at NBS Happy Space across the activity center. I enjoyed watching calligraphy tutorial by Ms Meeya 🙂 (I stalked her before in IG Hahahaha)

This is it!!! At 5:30pm, my number called and I just spent 3 minutes with her haha but this is worth it!

During the interview, she said that anxiety if common to her, not new, I think because she experiences this most of the times. This is her first novel ❤ But she revealed that she is currently working on her 2nd novel! But her fans, we intrigued we cannot see Michael Faudet in any of her pictures or his biography. Michael Faudet is also a poet, they are living together in New Zealand.

I love the fact that during an interview, she shared her inspiration and also her conversation with her partner, Michael, how can she write sad poems.

In “Lullabies,” she wrote about a conversation she had with Michael.

“Why do you write sad things? When I am here, when I love you.”

“Because someday, in one way or another, you will be taken from me or I you. When I write sad things, I am writing for the future.”

I first read her book last year, Love and Misadventures, her collection is very touching, I  love her poems.  Especially the A ROLLERCOASTER:

whatever the music supervisors of lone star has for the soundtrack of the finale. i am absolutely NOT ready. they always pick the most powerful soul stirring music that fits too painfully well and with an emergency like that, where likely its gonna be focused on the father-son bonds (owen gets trapped while saving judd, tk tries to save him. circling back to 1x01 of father saving son but its the opposite this time. tk witnessing almost losing his other parent) it's gonna HURT SO GOOD lord help us omfggg
