Connorâs rig guide
Okay, in the first part I talked about some basics of manipulating objects in Blender, now itâs time to look at them again within the context of Connorâs rig.
Note: I just realised there were a minor mistake in a rig. Fixed in ver. 2.2 (same link)
Click on Main_Rig object (from outliner or directly from clicking on it in the working area), check that nothing else is selected and go to the pose mode. Here youâll be able to finally pose the character. You can move and rotate bones around just the way you would do any other objects in blender.Â
Tagging you, my dear rig-testets, here: @middleofnothing @detroitbecomeonline
How to reset position/rotation/scale
Letâs say you moved it in some ugly way and want to reset it back the way it was in its âdefaultâ position. For this you need to select the bones you want to reset (or just select everything with A) and press
Alt + GÂ - to reset position
Alt + RÂ - to reset rotation
Alt + SÂ - to reset scale (although I donât know why would you scale bones)
Bone Layers
For this specific model I used bone layers to separate bones into groups according to their purpose and/or layout. What it means is that rig is divided into a few categories that can be hidden/revealed for convenience.
Blender has a system of built-in layers for armature (32 of them in total), which looks like this
I marked âactual layersâ with green, because those are the layers we actually use and so-called âpointlessly repeated layersâ jare ust a mirror of those we have above for the purpose of locking them (to restrict any changes we could accidentally make), which if you ask me is fucking retarded, there are better ways to visually represent itÂ
Anyways, we can reveal whatâs inside them by clicking on them (just ignore whatâs in a purple box, pretend it doesnât exist), we can select multiple of them by holding Sift or deselect by clicking on them again (while holding shift). White circles represent that the layer has something inside and isnât empty. Filled white circle indicate that the active bone(s) (the one(s) we have selected atm) are inside this layer, or, if nothing is selected it means that the last time there were, it was on This layer.
As you can see, by default those layers look weird and thereâs no way to name them, which kinda ruins the purpose of layers. Thatâs why we wonât use them, and instead use free plugin âBone Managerâ, if you have my blend file, you should have it working already and it looks like this:
You can already see right away how much more user-friendly it is, doesnât even requires explanation, as you can see all you need to know intuitively. Itâs basically all the same layers from before, but displayed like they were actually made for people.Â
To see this window, you should be inside pose mode. From there you can find it in the left corner of the working area under the tab âBone Layersâ like you can see on the screenshot. If you don't see that, then hover your cursor above working area and click N on your keyboard to show/hide it (or find this small arrow and click on it)
In regards to this specific rig I used 19 layers in total, you can see all of them below. They were mostly made for my convenience while rigging although I tried to rearrange them in a way that would be convenient for posing
(you can rearrange them if you want, it doesnât affect the way any of those bones function, itâs purely for visual representation)
About those layers in detail
âFace original controlsâ - as the name says, itâs face bones from original rig. Not all of them though, I put âTongueâ, âLips Upper (orig)â, âLips Lower (orig)â and âEyelids_origâ on separate layers, although they are all technically just face original controls. Youâll probably struggle to see them if you try to switch to them now, but itâs because bones are displayed as barely visible wires atm, Iâll explain how to switch it to other types below.Â
Other layers that contain original controls are
âHelper Deform (orig)â - those move small parts of the mesh, but I donât think theyâre really useful or helpful, more like confusing and messy. You can try tweaking them around, but I suggest to ignore this layer. This layer exists because I was afraid to delete something just to find out it was actually really important later on. Maybe those bones Are helpful, idk, try it.
"Tieâ, âJacketâ and âShirtâ are also just original bones that are responsible for cloth. For now I donât yet possess the kind of black magic wisdom it takes to know how to rig clothes in a meaningful way, so itâll probably be a frustrating experience to try to manipulate those.Â
âSome pointless garbageâ - originals bones that were there, but doesnât do shit. Ignore it.
âFace custom controlsâ - a set of controllers made by me in an attempt to make usable face rig. Itâs not comprehensive and only have controllers for eyes, eyelids and eyebrows (I got frustrated about the state of the mouth and havenât finished it. Eyes and eyelids requires improvements too, but huh, better than moving each individual bone from original rig, which btw you can still do instead of/in addition to using controllers) This layer looks like that:
For eye individual controllers youâd want to rotate them instead of moving (double-click R after selecting them to rotate freely)
I realise now that eyelids move a little too much along with the eyes. I didnât know the shit I was doing when I started this mess, so Iâd probably managed to do it better now if I were to do it again.
Eyelid(s) controls:
Youâd think that theyâre responsible for upper eyelids, but actually no, not exactly, instead they are linked to the action of closing/opening the eyes and as you can see, lower eyelid moves along slightly (just like it does in the game. I tried to replicate the way it happens)
I tried to do the lover eyelid controller at some point as well to allow for the squinting(there are also wrinkle maps for that), but it is one of those things I havenât yet done after realising that it is easy enough to break those eyelids already as they are now...Maybe later
And finally, eyebrows, which are probably the most interesting and complicated piece of this rig as theyâre the only controllers that I managed to actually link to dynamic wrinkle textures, the ones I canât shut up about. Each of those controllers are, just like eyelids, linked to the action (frowning/rising eyebrows depending on if you move them up/down or left/right from the nose. Or you can actually do both and see in-betweens of all kind of mix of the two), you can see it more clearly as skin around the corners of the eyes moves slightly(up) as well when frowned. I can dedicate the whole other post explaining exactly how I managed to do that, thereâs A LOT to say, itâs absolutely ridiculous how complex it is under the hood. I spent maybe a week researching dynamic-wrinkle concept in 3d and I still canât wrap my head around how cool it is.
Okay, thatâs all for the face.Â
But before moving on, a few words about what I have already mentioned about how you can use original controls to achieve more/other face expressions and actually pose mouth that I completely abandoned for custom controls.
If you switch to one of those layers with orig. controls, youâll see something like this:
You can see those tiny dots that indicate those controls, but maybe theyâre too small to be seen easily.
For this reason, you can switch the way they look to something else, instead of wire, you can do it here (generally youâll use Stick or Octahedral if not Wire, ignore others)
Below is an example of how it looks like when displayed as Stick. I added a custom bone for the jaw just so itâd visible at all times, so it wonât be affected.
Okay, moving on to those next layersÂ
Now finally about how we can move the body. For this purpose there are two different ways to bend those arms/legs and those are known as Forward Kinematics (often shortened to FK) and Inverse Kinematics (IK).
In this rig there are separate layers for them called
âFK CTRLâ and âIK CTRLâ , for forward and inverse kinematics accordingly.
Forward Kinematics is when you pose bones one after another in a rigid way. From bottom to the top. In this rig they are color coded with green.
Note: a little update made to the rig after those gifs were made â now finger bones are in the FK CTRL layer. Used to be on DEF layer before
Inverse Kinematic (IK) is the other way around - you move the last element of a chain and all the bones before that move accordingly. You can further adjust the position of the chain by using âpole targetâ (in the gif below you can see how it works. It help you rotate elbow or knee) I made IK controls yellow.
This rig is switched to IK by default, so if you try to move green bones of arms or legs it wonât move. Iâll explain fow to switch between IK/FK in a moment.
âRootâ layer contains two shapes. One of which is the circle around where the character stands on the ground - if you move that itâll move the whole character
Another shape is the words âSome settingsâ above the head. If you click on those and go into item properties menu, youâll see that there are a buch of switches there:
Eyes_Follow_Head - whether or not eyes move along with the head if you rotate it or stay focused on eye controller.
FK>IK_Hand_L - switch left hand from FK(if set to 0) to IK (if set to 1)
All the remaining ones are just the same, but for the remaining hand and legs.
Layer âTorsoâ is quite self-explanatory. Just move/rotate things around to understand what theyâre doing and youâre good to go.
And...It seems like Iâm forgetting something really important as if thereâs a lot more to tell about, but HUH. I donât remember what is it exactly and if I figure it out, Iâll update this post.
Oh, right, about other layers. Those are mechanical layers responsible for things to function properly and those layers arenât intended to be touched so if you donât know what youâre doing DO NOT TOUCH OR CHANGE ANYTHING in those layers. Which are âEyelidsâ, âFollow-Eyelidâ, âDEFâ(this one contain original bones btw, but donât touch it if you're tot sure), âMCHâ and âIKâ
Lemme know if you have any problems/questions/suggestions/fic recommendations or if you want me to ramble on about some specific thing in rigging(or 3d in general), like the way I made those controls for eyebrows, or how to create your own controllers. Or...you got the idea.
And if you use this rig for your renders, mention where did you get it from (I wonder who that could be about?) ;^)

Irreverent Pt. 17 - Big Brother
Title: Irreverent Pt. 17 - Big Brother Pairing: Aaron Hotchner x Reader Rating: T (Teen) Words: 2050
Irreverent Series Masterlist
Things had gone back to normal - or as normal as they ever got when you caught serial killers for a living. Cases at work had picked up with Hotch back in the driver's seat, and you were all starting to heal.
The team had successfully wrapped up a case in Kansas City involving missing children, so needless to say spirits were high. You drove back to the airport with Hotch, Spencer, and Garcia, with the others in another car behind you. Garcia had tagged along since the Unsub had been known to hack into home alarm systems and it would be good to have her on the ground with the rest of the team.
"What does everyone have going on for the weekend?" Penelope had obviously bored of listening to Spencer's lecture on quantum physics he'd been telling her about for the past 20 minutes. You and Hotch had conveniently tuned out, choosing instead to argue over your taste in music. You had been doing your best to introduce him to new artists instead of listening to The Beatles for the millionth time, and currently you were making a good case for Hozier.
"Jack's away at the lake with his cousins, so I have a free weekend for once," Hotch revealed. You were happy for him to be getting a break - he'd been working himself ragged trying to be Super Agent and Super Dad - a break was definitely a good call.
Before you could answer Penelope, your phone rang, distracting you and leaving Spencer to tell Penelope about his upcoming weekend of hustling with Emily in Atlantic City. The two of them made a dynamite duo in scheming drunk guys out of their money and had turned it into an annual tradition.
You quickly pulled your phone out of your pocket and saw - for possibly the fiftieth time that week - the name Dominic flash on your caller ID. Your brother had been pestering you for a few weeks now, trying to get in touch. No doubt he was doing your father's bidding. Being rid of him entirely had been too much to ask for.
You quickly dismissed the call, catching Hotch's glance in your direction. You shook your head at him, mouthing, "Later." He nodded in understanding, before tuning in to the conversation in the back once again.
"What about you, sugar?" Penelope asked, looking at you eagerly, awaiting your answer.
You thought for a second - what did you have planned for the weekend? With Jack away and Emily and Spencer off to Sin City, you didn't really have much to do. I should really get friends besides people I work with and their children. "Nothing planned," you said, turning in your seat to look at Penelope.
"Oh come on, Y/N! You're young! Vibrant! You should have plans. Men courting you." Penelope had been the most disappointed when you'd ended things with Cedric during the peak of the Foyet case. You had had more important things to worry about and between both of your busy schedules, actually seeing one another was becoming impossible. That was when you'd started to understand how hard it must have been for Hotch with Haley. He loved the job and he loved her, but she'd asked for him to leave it and in the end he hadn't been able to. While you sympathized with Haley, you got why Hotch had chosen the job. It would have killed him not to.
You chuckled, rolling your eyes good naturedly. "When would I meet men, Pen? The only men I meet are serial killers."
"Actually, statistically speaking, you run into at least fourteen eligible mates every time you step outside," Spencer rattled off in his all knowing voice. "Plus, you're a female of above average attractiveness, so it is actually closer to twenty for you."
"And yet, somehow, I'm single," you retorted. "I must be chasing them away with my attitude." You heard Hotch chuckle from next to you. He should laugh more. It makes him look younger.
*------------*
Penelope had talked everyone into going out once again, using the excuse that Hotch was free and didn't have Jack. You could tell he wasn't thrilled about being used as the excuse - he was so bad about enjoying bar type settings. However, he'd agreed under the agreement that everyone turned in their report to him before they left for their weekend activities. Spencer, Penelope, JJ, and Rossi had gone ahead, having quickly rushed through their reports. Hotch wouldn't leave until everyone had turned theirs in, and you didn't want him to be waiting alone, so you were sitting in his office keeping him company while waiting for Emily and Derek to wrap up as well.
When you'd brought your report up and then turned and sat on his couch instead of leaving, Hotch had quirked an eyebrow at you in question. "Can I help you?"
"Nope!" you said flouncing down on his couch. "I'm just waiting up here to make sure you can't just bail."
He rolled his eyes at you, but then fixed you with a contemplative look.
"What?"
"It's later now."
You looked at him, confused. "YesâŠ"
"The phone calls. You got them all week. Don't think I didn't notice."
"Right." Nothing ever really got past Hotch. "Dominic has been calling me, incessantly," you admitted.
"Your brother?"
"Yeah. I think my father put him up to it, and as he and I are no longer on speaking terms, I don't want to open any doors to communication."
"You know," he said quietly, as he walked up from his desk to come sit on the couch by you. "You don't ever talk about your mother."
"Well," you began slowly, focusing on a spot on the opposite wall as you spoke, "she wasn't really much of a mother, I suppose. My parents were that couple that should've separated a long time ago. Pretty sure I was the save-the-marriage-baby." You expected to see some pity on his face, but he simply sat and nodded, so you continued. "But, when it didn't work my mom sort of went away, always in her own world. Say what you will about my dad, but at least he was around, as much as he could be. She could've been there all the time - she just chose not to be."
Hotch had a way of making you want to talk to him. You'd tell him something awful, and sometimes he'd try to help. More often he'd just listen.
This time, he chose to speak, in his deep comforting voice. "You know, you should be proud. It's kind of amazing that you came out the way you did, given everything." Â
You felt a warm glow surround you as you looked up at him, sincerity radiating off of him. "Thanks, I think," you laughed.
Derek's voice cut through the moment, "Hey, let's go you two! I've got mine and Prentiss's report here," he said, striding in and placing two files on Hotch's desk.
You saw Hotch get up, undoubtedly to check their work, but you were done waiting. "Nope, that's for Monday. Come on!" And against his protests, you grabbed his jacket and led him out the door.
The four of you drove over to the bar and found a spot a couple of blocks down. As you started walking towards the bar together, you heard a voice calling you from behind, causing you to tense up immediately.
"Y/N! Y/N, wait!"
You turned to see a large dark figure moving towards the four of you, and as it got closer you recognized your brother's face. Hotch and Derek were both instantly on alert as well, ready to come between you and the man hurrying towards you.
He looked much the same as he had the last time you saw him. He stood as tall and broad as Derek, looking even more intimidatingly large in his dark suit. "Dominic! What're you doing? Following me?" You were pissed.
"I need to speak with you," your brother said, moving as if to usher you away from the others.
You took a step backwards to avoid him and instead bumped into Hotch. "Anything you want to say to me, you can say it in front of them. But remember, they're federal agents, so I'd watch my words if I were you."
He glowered at you for a moment, before accepting that he wouldn't be able to catch you by yourself. "Father has a message for you," he announced.
"Oh yeah? Still playing dad's lapdog, are you?"
"You need to go man," Derek came to stand by your side, intimidatingly.
"You're being ridiculous!" Dominic seethed ignoring him, "You're disgracing yourself and everything we've been taught."
"What's the message?" You tried to remain calm, knowing it would rile him up more to see you unaffected by his old bullying tactics. Maybe then he'd just leave.
"Come home. The family needs you." He repeated what were obviously words fed to him by your father. Â
"Tell father to leave me alone, Dom. I won't be his pawn anymore." You tried to do an about face and move the others along with you, grabbing Derek's arm with you.
"You're Emily Prentiss, aren't you?" You'd thought he was done, but his words towards Emily gave you all pause. "I've got a message for you as wellâŠValhalla says hello."
As you watched Emily's face lose all color, your brother turned around and vanished back into the shadows from where he'd come.
The mood sufficiently ruined, you all ended up back at the office so that Emily could fill you in on whatever or whoever Valhalla was.
As Emily explained her undercover role playing the IRA terrorist's girlfriend - Ian Doyle, codename Valhalla - you started to realize that you never truly know a person. Not that it changed how you looked at Emily per se, but that there are parts to people and their histories that you might never know, despite feeling as close as sisters to them.
"So, if Dominic L/N has a message from Valhalla, then that means that L/N Sr. knows Valhalla too, right?"
"Yes, most likely. I'm going to have my contacts at Interpol look into this," Emily said, in response to Derek's question.
Hotch had been pretty quiet, so the three of you turned to him to see what he was thinking. Noticing all eyes on himself, he looked at the three of you and then more specifically at just you, before sighing and pushing up from the table. Hotch spoke, carefully choosing his words, not quite meeting your eyes. "For some time now I've suspected that the CIA has a case open on Mr. L/N, and I think this pretty much confirms those suspicions."
"Wait, what? Why would you think that?" you asked, unsure of why this was the first time you were hearing about this.
Hotch sighed again, unsure of how to tell you. Slowly, he explained, "To be honest Y/N, I've suspected it since you told us about your dad. Your rejection from the CIA Â never sat right with me. After your dad was here the last time and the case with Dawson, it made sense that your rejection was tied to some conflict of interest they would have with you being part of the agency and not anything to do with you personally."
You swallowed, trying to process what Hotch had said. If you were honest with yourself, a small part of you knew he was right. It had never sat right with you either, but at the time you hadn't been feeling confident and had assumed your year of partying had somehow been to blame.
"You really believe that, don't you?" You looked up at him as he stood with one hand tucked into his pocket and a furrowed brow.
"Yes, I do."
"Well then, I think a visit to the CIA is also part of knowledge gathering before we can more forward and assess the full threat." Emily's past as a rogue was definitely showing here as she drew herself into commanding position. The rest of you agreed to defer to her experience, deciding that she would get in touch with Interpol and visit the CIA alongside Hotch.

Please! This isnât a Game! || Pt. 5 || Jeonghan
Pt. 1 // Pt. 2 // Pt. 3 // Pt. 4 // Pt. 5 // Pt. 6 //
âą Word Count: 2522
âą Genre: sci-fi, fantasy, fluff, comedy, transmigration
âą Summary: What do you do when you get thrown into an unknown world? Well, Jeonghan sure as heck does not know.Â
(Check the pting ff tag or the description for previous chapters!)
âââ
The system watched as the sword conveniently punctured Jeonghanâs armor. It watched the shock from the pain spread through its hostâs features and then watched as he stumbled backward and off the mountain. It didnât stay to watch the reactions of the soldiers nearby or the reaction of the perpetrator. Instead, it quickly flew down in an attempt to cushion Jeonghanâs fall.
Winter always hit the borderlands hard. Blizzards swept by nearly every night. For the normal people from the empire, that experienced a winter similar to fall and spring, this type of weather was unbearable. Soldiers were different. They had strong magic and the weather did not affect them in the slightest. On top of that, their uniforms and armor naturally helped adjust their body temperature to the heat or the cold in their surroundings.
Jeonghan never had the luxury of warm magic and he currently didnât have the luxury of the uniform. His armor had become beaten and there was a chink in it. The system flew around Jeonghan worriedly and tried its best to generate heat in an attempt to keep Jeonghan alive.
The system, whose emotions had slowly been teased out by Jeonghan, could be described in one wordâdevastated. It knew that this was not a good idea! It knew that its host had bitten off more than he could chew! It knew that its host was good at courting death, which was why it told him to be more careful in the first place! But did its host listen?! No! He! Did! Not! So, this was the situation now; stranded, freezing, and awaiting death.
The system didnât keep track of time as it only concentrated on keeping Jeonghan warm. After a long while, Jeonghan finally opened his eyes. His surroundings were completely white, leading him to believe for a split second he had died.
âYouâre awake! Host!â the system swirled around Jeonghan faster, making it suddenly feel like spring with a light breeze.
âMm,â Jeonghan grunted. He pushed himself up and dusted the snow off his helmet.
He grabbed onto the tree he had rolled next to and used it as a crutch to stand. He wasnât sure of the state of his wound and honestly, he didnât want to know. He could only hope he was the protagonist of this story and would miraculously survive.
âHow are you feeling?â the system asked.
âDisgusting,â Jeonghan grumbled. He attempted to move, but when he couldnât, he stopped and leaned against the tree. He breathed heavily and looked at the system. âHow many days have I been out?â
The system quickly checked the date and was shocked. âTwo days.â
It had felt much longer for the system.
âTwo daysâŠNavi, go check if anyoneâs searching for me,â Jeonghan said.
âButâŠâ
âI will stay here. Just fly up the mountain, the camp should be nearby anyway. If they arenât then weâll just find a way out ourselves,â Jeonghan said.
The system hovered reluctantly. It wasnât afraid of losing Jeonghan. If Jeonghan wandered off, the system could track him back down. What it was afraid of was Jeonghan attracting the attention of some hungry animal or perhaps freezing to death while it was gone. However, the look Jeonghan gave it was something that could not be questioned, so it sulkily flew off.
Once the system left, Jeonghanâs knees buckled below him. He shakily sat down and pulled his knees up to his chest. He kept every part of his body close by, as if he were afraid they would run off. He was quickly getting colder now that Navi had flown off but Jeonghan tried to ignore it and the pain in his side.
Instead, Jeonghan tried to comfort himself.
He had been in worse situations. Much worse! And every time, Jeonghan had gotten out of them. Every time, he was able to walk (or limp) out of the darkness and return to his old life as if nothing ever happened. Nothing followed him from there eitherâno psychological shadow, no bitterness, no anger. He returned, same as ever, and he would do the same here. After Jeonghan finished his mission of saving this world, he would just return to his old world and his old life! He would become the same selfish, pampered, ignorant young master again.
Jeonghan laughed at himself, the sound echoing a little. Return to his old world? For what? No one even wanted him there!
âWishful thinking,â Jeonghan mumbled to himself. He shifted his position, as if it would warm him up a little more. âItâs okay, Yoon Jeonghan, even if no one wants you, you still have yourself.â
âHost!â the system came flying back.
âNavi, youâre back already.â
The system flitted between an irritated orange and a worried blue. âThey did send out a search party, but because of the blizzards, theyâre finding it difficult to find you.â
âThen, itâs best to move ourselves,â Jeonghan got up with great difficulty. Â âDid you happen to find an easy way back while you were out?â
âYes!â The system bobbed up and down. âHost, please follow me and stay close.â
The system dutifully led the way and paused once in a while to make sure Jeonghan was able to keep up properly. Jeonghan numbly followed the system and only stopped when the floating orb stopped moving. With much effort, Jeonghan managed to ask why it had stopped.
âItâs starting to snow again. We should find shelter for now in case of a blizzard,â the system said. It swirled around Jeonghan a moment before nudging him in one direction.
Jeonghan barely had any strength left. In fact, he was afraid of resting now. If he rested now, would he even wake up? He didnât say this to the system though. Although it was an artificial intelligence, Jeonghan felt that it would still feel pain if he died. If not pain then maybe annoyance, since it would have to wait a while for another host (apparently).
They made it to the cave before the predicted blizzard started. The system froze however, upon seeing a fire already lit up inside.
âMaybe theyâre friendly,â Jeonghan dazedly mumbled before stumbling further into the cave.
âWhoâs there?â a stern female voice rang out.
Jeonghan leaned against the wall and watched as a caped person came out. She wore the same sleek armor as the rest of the dark forces. She still wore her gloves but her helmet was discarded somewhere near the fire. If Jeonghan was in his right mind, heâd be able to recognize her right away just from looking, but he wasnât.
âWho are you?â
The second time, Jeonghan recognized the voice. He clumsily removed his helmet and gave you a forced grin. âY/NâŠâ
You watched in stunned silence as Jeonghan collapsed onto the ground.
You quickly pulled him in and closer to the fire and discarded his wet clothes. You replaced them with the clothes that you were supposed to bring to his brother. And frowned at the state of Jeonghanâs side. It was a disgusting sight but still treatable, thankfully.
You had heard that Joshua had stabbed a general and shook the morale of the army, but you hadnât expected that person to be Jeonghan. You looked at his sorry state and let out a long sigh before reaching into your bag for some medicine.
You pulled up the shirt and frowned after taking a closer look at the wound. It wasnât festering like you had first though and it had clotted butâŠ
âWhatâs with this large amount of dark energy,â you mumbled.
 âââ
When Jeonghan woke up, he was laying by a warm fire with dry clothes on. He could feel his wound being compressed by bandages wrapped around his torso but he couldnât remember what happened after he had entered the cave. He just remembered a brief sense of relief and then passing out.
âYouâre awake?â
Jeonghan lifted his head and squinted at the sun that spilled in through the opening of the cave. Jeonghanâs eyes widened and an amicable smile spread across his face when he realized who was talking.
âY/N,â he greeted, a hint of confusion in his face. âWhat are you doing here?â
âYour brother called me to deliver clothes to him,â your eyes concentrated on Jeonghan. âBut, um, I guess Iâll have to find a fresh change of clothes for him later.â
Jeonghan looked down at himself and laughed sheepishly. âWell, Iâm sure heâd understand. You did this to save me.â
You grimaced slightly. That would probably put him in a worse mood.
âIs that all?â Jeonghan asked.
âHuh?â
âWhy youâre here. You actually came out all this way just to deliver clothes to my brother? Isnât that dangerous? Why would he let youââ
âWell, itâs fine. I wanted to do it anyway,â you quickly said. You gestured towards him. âBut whatâs your deal? Why were you dying down here?â
âAh,â Jeonghan laughed good-naturedly despite his injury. âI, uh, I got stabbed.â
âYou got stabbed?â your eyes widened.
âYou donât have to look that surprised. Itâs war. Itâs natural Iâd get stabbed,â Jeonghan replied.
âButâŠI thought they werenât actually going to let you fight. I thoughtââ
âThat I was a figure head?â
You nodded.
âNo, I fight. And I can hold out my own too,â Jeonghan said, tilting his head smugly.
You wanted to shoot back that he couldnât hold back his own. If he could, you wouldnât have had to save him twice. However, you couldnât be sure he knew your other identity, so you could just nod with worry. âButâŠI heard you donât have magic.â
Jeonghan stiffened. His eyes darted around the cave, as if making sure none of his soldiers were around, before turning back to you. âThis is true. Itâs really not a secret butâŠitâs not something Iâm proud of.â
So, he doesnât know, you concluded. Your eyes drifted to his wound.
âY/N?â
âI was just thinking,â you sighed. âIf you had magic you wouldnât be in this situation.â
âI might still be, who knows,â Jeonghan shrugged.
âIf you had a better family, then you definitely wouldnât be in such a terrible situation,â you mumbled.
ââŠDid you and Taewook get into a fight?â
âNo, no, itâs not that.â
âThen, why?â Jeonghan raised an eyebrow. He leaned forward worriedly and joked, âBefore, you looked like you wanted to rip my head off when I said something bad about Taewook.â
âI did not.â
âYou did,â Jeonghan teased.
You let out a soft sigh. âItâs justâŠI donât know. I feel like heâs using meâlike you said, but in a more of aâŠservant, sort of way.â
âOh.â
âYeah.â
âNo, I donât think Taewook would,â Jeonghanâs voice trailed off before sheepishly smiling.
âWhat?â
âNothing.â
âAre you having a hard time lying?â you laughed.
Jeonghan guiltily laughed. He cleared his throat. âIt wouldnât be bad to consider leaving my brother.â
âI think I will.â
Jeonghan nodded sympathetically. He called the system over.
âYes, Host?â
âDoes this Y/N seem a bit odd to you?â
âWhat do you mean?â
âJust a few days ago, she looked like she wanted to snap me in half when I said Taewook was using her, but now sheâs willingly admitting it and sheâs even saying sheâll leave him.â
âPerhaps it is a loverâs quarrel,â the system wisely suggested.
âA loverâs quarrel?â
âYes, Host. Apparently, those happen quite often among human couples. Especially young ones.â
âI know that,â Jeonghan grumbled. âIâm just wondering if there would be such a thing between those two.â
âWhat do you mean?â
âThey canât even be considered lovers,â Jeonghan sighed. His eyes narrowed. âThere must be something more.â
âJeonghan?â
âHuh?â
âI asked if I could redress your wound.â
âOh,â Jeonghanâs eyes widened and he turned a deep red. âUmâŠâ
âIts condition might get worse if I donât. And you certainly wonât do it properly,â you said. âMy brother used to get into a ton of fights so I learned how to properly dress wounds.â
âYou have a brother? Is he older or younger?â
âHeâs my older brother,â you replied as Jeonghan obediently (and awkwardly) pulled off his clothes. âHeâs the best big brother I could ask for, honestly.â
âThatâs nice,â Jeonghan said wistfully. âDid he defend you when you got bullied?â
You laughed. âOf course! Heâs the only one that can bully me, after all.â
Jeonghan smiled weakly.
You glanced up at him. âHow was Taewook like?â
âHe,â Jeonghan hesitated before shaking his head. âHeâs not worth talking about.â
âOh.â
Jeonghan pursed his lips, looking troubled at your meek reaction. âWell, no, heâs worth talking about. Just not as an older brother. I didnât see him often as a kid.â
âOh, I see,â you seemed to lighten up a little and Jeonghan relaxed.
The system floated off to the side, watching you two put on this play. It really felt like it was watching a high-cost production right now with two topnotch actors. The expressions, the inflection of emotionsâif only the plot was a little more developed, the system felt that this could make a great story!
Jeonghan wasnât paying attention to the system right now and could not see that it was bubbling with excitement at this âlittle brother steals older brotherâs girlfriendâ side plot. His eyes were concentrated on the crackling embers as he tried to take his mind off the throbbing pain in his side. He glanced at you once and found your eyes alight with excitement. Was his body that good? Maybe his past body, but not this one. Why did you look like that then?
âFinished,â you said, scooting back a little.
âThank you,â Jeonghan sighed in relief and pulled his shirt back on.
âSo, will be heading back now?â
âNowâŠI donât know. Iâm not even sure where I am. I just wandered and wandered,â Jeonghan mumbled. He looked at you helplessly. âTheyâll come find me, right?â
Jeonghan looked extremely pitiful right now, making you momentarily forget what you were scheming. You nodded. âYeah, I donât see why they wouldnât. Unless they wanted to get in trouble with your father.â
âMy father,â Jeonghan scoffed.
This line, the system noted, was particularly realistic.
âHe doesnât care either,â you mumbled, feeling sorrier for Jeonghan than before.
âI think Iâll start moving in a bit,â Jeonghan said. He shakily stood and was surprised when he didnât collapse.
âHere are your things,â you said, handing him a bundle of his wrecked armor, his military badge, and his helmet.
âThank you,â Jeonghan sighed, staring at the useless things that he would have to lug around. He looked at you. âWhere are you headed?â
âI was going to go to Taewookâs camp, but I donât have clothes to bring him anymore.â
âYou can come with me. Once we find my camp, Iâll tell them to send you back. Itâs dangerous around here,â Jeonghan said.
You nodded with a thankful smile across your face.
After another half-hour of resting, you and Jeonghan departed. You glanced at him and allowed your mind to wander again. How could such a naĂŻve angel be related to such a heartless devil?

~ Series and forever tags are open! ~
Youâd took the rear seat of the Impala, stretching your legs out across the bench - shoes off of course - Dean demanded it. You rest your head back on the window, cold and slightly steamed up on the inside whilst a flurry of rain gusts outside. You stare at your phone, furiously tapping on the messenger app on-screen whilst the heavy guitars of Motorhead blast through the headphones youâre wearing.
Câmoooon, answer me woman.
You click again, sending another âwaveâ trying to get the recipientâs attention. You must have been in double figures now.
Charlie_Queen_B: Heeey! Calm down over there!
Y/N-AssKicker: Finally! Sup bitch ;)
Charlie_Queen_B: Sup ;) Now what are you blowing my phone up for?
Y/N-AssKicker: I need you to check into something for me
Charlie_Queen_B: Go on
Y/N-AssKicker: Long story short, itâs about The Mark of Cain. Found this link about something called the âBook of the Damnedâ
Charlie_Queen_B: That sounds pleasant :/
Y/N-AssKicker: I know right? Itâs apparently full of ridiculously old magic, but thatâs about as far as I got with it. Long story short, somethingâs come up and Iâd feel a lot better if someone awesome was following up on it for meeee? :) :)
Charlie_Queen_B: You donât need to creep to me, of course I will! Is everything OK though? Donât be leaving me in the dark here.
You look up briefly from your phone to glance at the brothers in the front seats. You can see them talking, but are unable to hear what about because of Lady GaGa now booming in your eardrums. They were smiling, laughing and joking about something. Just seeing them made you smile too. It almost felt normal, and you felt confident. No need to worry Charlie.
Y/N-AssKicker: Nothing we canât handle :) Iâll fill you in when itâs all over. Am I good to send you the link?
Charlie_Queen_B: Good to know :) and yeah, hit me!
Y/N-AssKicker: Youâre amazing (as ever). Ty.
Charlie_Queen_B: Anytime!
You smile gratefully, copying and pasting the link to her. You felt a bit cheeky, but you promised Dean your one-hundred-percent focus on this. You werenât lying when you said itâd make you feel better knowing someone was still looking into it, and you trusted Charlie to the ends of the Earth.
Suddenly, you feel your headphones yanked away from your ears.
âHey!â you squeak in surprise.
âWelcome back to Earth,â Sam teases, âWhatâs with the headphones?â
âOhâŠâ you laugh nervously, âIâve found they...help blot out the angel radio crap.â
A slight awkward silence follows, so Sam chipped in to try and break it quickly, âI was just wonderingâŠâ
You spot that heâs holding the spellbook Harper wrote, itâs laid open on his lap on the final pages.
âHey!â you squeal, jolting up into a sitting position, âWho said you could look at that!â
âI was just curious!â Sam held his hands up in protest, âIt's...interesting trying to work out all the different languages that are in itâŠâ
âYou are such a nerd, you know that right?â Dean scoffs, shaking his head.
âLook I was just wondering,â Sam ignores his brother, eyes still fixed on you, âWhat this in the back is?â
Sam holds the book up and there are words scrawled on the back of the bookâs cover. Two sets of handwriting, one of them being yours.
âIt looks like a half finished spell?â Sam questions, âSomething about...creating a livable dimension in someoneâs mind?â
âYeah,â your eyes break a little upon seeing the spell, âIt was something me and Jenny worked on.â
âJenny?â Dean asks curiously, âHarperâs sister?â
âYup,â you lean forward and take the book from Samâs grasp, tracing your finger over Jennyâs handwriting, âShe used to come down and hang with me some nights in the coven, this was just a silly side project we started.â
âWhat does the spell actually do?â Sam questions further.
âIn layman's terms,â you sigh, âIt was to allow the spell caster to transfer their conscience into their own personal fantasy world in their head.â
âThatâsâŠâ Dean mutters, âdifferent.â
âSo effectively the user would go into a dream-like, almost trance state,â you elaborate, âCompletely free to do what they want in that world in their mind.â
âEscape into itâŠâ Sam narrows his eyes, âIt was so you could escape into there wasnât it?â
âBingo,â you answer with a sigh, âShe was trying to help me make things⊠more bearable I guess⊠we abandoned it eventually though as we couldnât find out a way to give it...an off switch so to say.â
âMeaning?â Sam raises an eyebrow.
âMeaning thereâs a risk that if someone cast that spell, they would probably never wake up,â you fold your arms and answer bluntly, âI was fine with that at the time but Jenny was stubborn.â
You look again at her perfectly neat penmanship, smiling to yourself briefly. Back then she was the only shining light in your life.
âBut anyways,â you snap the book closed and toss it onto the seat next to you. You sense a thick tension has grown in the air, a common occurence whenever times from the coven entered conversation. You felt some childish behaviour would cut right through that, âAre we there yet?â
âAbout thirty minutes out,â Sam rolls his eyes at you.
âYesssss!â you hiss in excitement, âThere are no words for how much demon ass I could kick right now.â
âThatâs if we even find any,â Sam shrugs, âHopefully someone at the bar saw something thatâll help.â
âNah,â you sit up and lean forward so your head is directly between the Winchester brothers, âI got a good feeling about this, and weâll kick âem in the ass like always.â
°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă
âListen, Love,â Crowley rolls his eyes as he speaks into the phoneâs receiver, âJust shut up and let me handle the Winchesters and their precious princess.â
âIâve been holding my tongue for a long time now,â the woman on the other side sneers impatiently, âAnd so far your supposed efforts are yielding me miniscule results.â
âWho got you your last batch of feathery grace goodness?â the King of Hell asks threateningly, âWouldnât get very far without that now would we?â
âA mere convenience,â the woman scoffs, âWe could easily get a hold of as much grace as we need. Just using you so we can focus on our research and conduct further experimentation.â
âSânot getting you far is it?â Crowley chuckles, âStill in the dark arenât we, Love?â
âYou said you would bring us the girl. Without her all we can achieve are more failures.â
âDo you know who youâre talking to?â Crowley stands as he projects his voice, âIâm the bloody King of Hell, bitch!â
He receives no response from the other end but the line doesnât drop. He breathes in deeply, âAnd you wouldnât even be able to do what youâre doing without me, remember that.â
âI will hand her over to you,â he continues with a devious smirk, âAnd Iâll even do one better. Because I think I have a theory on your little problem.â
âIs that so?â The voice finally replies.
âOh, found our tongue have we?â Crowley huffs, âYes, I just need to confirm what I think. So youâll just have to sit back, relax, and find some fucking patience!â
âFine.â
âGood, and youâll do well to remember your side of the deal.â
The line drops and Crowley slips the phone back into his pocket.
âNo manners some people,â he mutters.
He sits back down, alone in his self-proclaimed throne room. Things were moving slowly, and he understood the Witchesâ impatience. He scowls as he ponders. He did promise them Y/N afterall. Since the conversation on the phone, she and the boys had evidently stayed cooped up in that bunker.
Bastards. They even stepped up the warding to stop me getting in.
He rubs his temple, thinking back to that call and what he said to Y/N. He fears he may have let his mouth run off a bit too much. He canât resist most of the time though. But heâd told them she was the only one to have survived the effects of this potion. He gave away that they need her and that sheâs unique.
Bollocks.
Itâs why sheâs unique thatâs the question. No human can survive that much angel grace in their system, that was clear with the amount of failures theyâd had. There was nothing different about her, sheâs a regular human being. Crowley smirks as his latest revelation comes back to him.
But Dean Winchester isnât.
He couldnât drop the thought once it first hit him. The Mark brought Dean back from death, albeit as a demon. Crowley knew that Y/N should have died in that explosion back at the Red Dragon Inn, just like all the others who go into meltdown like that. But Dean, in his full blown demon attire, was in there with her when it started to go down.
Something happened. Squirrel is the key. I know it.
The King of Hell kicks himself, he knew he shouldnât have bailed out on the situation so quickly last year.
âCrowley!â the door bursts open and one of Crowleyâs lackeys enters, âWeâve spotted the Winchesters, we believe theyâre headed for the bar.â
âExcellent,â Crowley smiles gleefully, âIsnât the internet a marvellous thing? Viral videos and all that nonsense. I knew it would get their attention eventually, they canât resist.â
âSir...umâŠâ the messenger demon shuffles on the spot awkwardly, âThe guys out there have reported that...thereâs something odd about the girl.â
âWell thereâs bound to be,â Crowley shrugs without a care, âIf my suspicions are correct sheâs got angel grace growing inside her because of that potion. Sheâll no doubt be feeling the effects of such.â
"A-are we to proceed?â
âScared?â Crowley chuckles patronisingly, âNo need to be, Uncle Crowleyâs joining in for this one!â
He laughs to himself, drawing his phone back out and swiftly redials.
âYouâll have Y/N tonight.â
°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă°ă
The bar was now a boarded up shell of a building. Crowley had made it so, all the more to catch the Winchesterâs curiosity. They were never ones to turn down snooping in an abandoned building.
Just as the King of Hellâs patience grew thin, the trio made their usual grand entrance as he watched in the shadows up in the rafters. The whole place was in darkness, empty, echoey, accentuating the rumbles of thunder that came from the now raging storm outside.
âYou ever taking those damn headphones off?â Dean barks at you once you felt you were alone.
âItâs like being in a movie!â you shout back too loudly, âMy own personal soundtrack!â
âWhy would the place shut down?â Sam ponders aloud,âYouâd have thought itâd get more business after being in a viral video.â
âBars go out of business all the time Sammy, lighten up,â Dean yanks the headphones out of your ears and scolds you with a look.
âParty pooper,â you pout, gazing around the abandoned bar âDâya think weâll find anything in here?â
âSome leftover beers hopefully,â Dean smirks.
They all grab flashlights and branch out. The Scooby Gang splitting up in search of clues⊠minus their talking dog. You wander out of sight, Dean makes a beeline for the bar and Sam scopes out the sitting area.
Lets have some fun.
With a mere blink, Crowley vanishes and reappears in the rafters of the next room. A large empty space with a built-in stage at the front for live bands. You stroll in, yawning to yourself and flashing the light around.
Stroke of luck weâve got her alone. Sheâs the one to be wary of.
Crowley executes a silent whistle. A summon for one of his favorite pets. Specially trained not to kill, but maul deliciously violently.
Câmon Betsy my darling, do your thing.
For a hulking beast of a Hellhound, Betsy is very light on her feet. She knows not to disturb the environment around her too much to avoid detection. Crowley grins maniacally as he watches his pet slink silently through a set of swing doors behind you, as you absentmindedly twirled on your heels while looking around.
Easy. One down.
Your eyeline moves over where Betsy prowled. This was no problem to the beast with them being invisible...
...to humans⊠bugger.
âDean!â you cry in horror, disgusted at the sight of the vile creature before you, âSam!â
The Winchesters charge to her aid, but not quick enough compared to Betsyâs attack. The Hellhound pounces, narrowly missing you as you promptly roll away. Hastily, you withdraw an angel blade from your belt, holding it up defensively whilst sporting wide, terrified eyes.
âHellhound!â you shriek as the boys finally enter, the blood instantly draining from their faces.
âItâs coming to your left!â you wail again, prompting them of Betsyâs attack.
They both dive away in your direction. Once reaching you, they form a defensive back-to-back position.
How adorable.
âYou can see it?â Dean gasps at you in shock.
âYeah well I think that plays to our advantage right now donât you?â you snap at him.
âDo you know where it is now?â Sam asks nervously.
âPacing around over there,â you point to the rear of the room, âI think itâs deciding when to pounce again.â
Sheâs scared...bloody thing hasnât fought anything that can SEE her before.
The Hellhound picks its moment, charging along the edge of the room, choosing a random moment to lunge in and attack again.
You circle with Betsy, keeping yourself the centre of the houndâs radar.
âOh shit!â you yell when Betsy jumps. You throw your hand up and expose your palm. A blue ball of light blasts from it, colliding face first with the beast. It yelps and hurdles back, crashing devastatingly into the wall behind.
âHadouken!â you gasp, a broad grin of surprise spreading on your face, âThat was awesome!â
âHoly crapâŠâ Dean murmurs. He couldnât see the hound, but he could see the blatant crater that had suddenly formed in the wall.
âBloody hellâŠâ Crowley mumbles to himself, slightly taken aback at the scene.
This is NOT what was supposed to happen!
âGet in here you idiots!â Crowley bellows and you are suddenly surrounded by a group of demons, plus a seriously pissed off Betsy.

Version 432
youtube
^ After years of seeing all sorts of smaller edits using this footage, I finally discovered this source vid this week. If you like fine art, please watch it in full, it is eight minutes of unbroken kino. It gets a bit heavy at the end, not appropriate for kids. If you don't like old art, no worries, I was just chuffed this week to have finally found this thing.
windows
zip
exe
macOS
app
linux
tar.gz
I had a great week. There are a bunch of different little fixes and improvements this week, and the tag sort dropdown is now easier to use.
tag sort
Rather than a big list, the tag sort dropdown is now a dynamic control that splits the different variables (sort type, asc/desc, group by) into different mini-dropdowns that show and hide when available. Confusing labels like 'lexicographic' and 'ignore namespace' are replaced with clean 'sort by tag/subtag/count'. I hope it is a bit easier to work with now. Give it a go and let me know what you think.
If you don't like your default tag sort, you can set it under options->tags. Your existing default should be converted to the new format on update.
I also added the option to sort by sibling text or the actual tag text when you have the manage tags dialog open.
There is more work to do. One thing I don't like is if, say, on the asc/desc dropdown, you have 'a-z' selected, you can hover your mouse over and scroll down to get 'z-a', but you can't scroll up to get it. I prefer to have scroll work like 'flip' when there are only two values, where either scroll direction will make a change, so I'll figure that out, and in the file sort/collect controls, so there is even less to think about when you edit. I'll also see about saving the tag sort in the session.
I also updated the back-end of tag sorting here, so it'll be easier to update in future. Some users have asked for custom namespace sorts (e.g. creator, character, series, then the rest (a-z), then unnamespaced), so I'd like to start thinking about that properly.
misc
As some users have not realised they were getting a big session that was lagging them, the client now makes a once-per-boot gentle warning popup if your session exceeds 500k weight. If you cannot conveniently reduce your session size, you can turn this warning off under options->gui pages.
Subscriptions now work more efficiently with a very small 'first run' file limit and a larger 'normal' file limit. Previously, the second run was often charging right through the handful of files caught on first sync and getting more than it should, but now it should better recognise it has 'caught up' and stop at the right position.
advanced users
I added a String Selector/Slicer object to the parsing system. You can select the nth item or the mth to nth. m can be 'start', n can be 'end', and either can be a negative index. Try mixing it with the new String Sorter! The String Processing UI has also had an update pass to better support multiple strings--it now shows everything its parent formula had, so you can better test sorting or how processing is changing the third string in the list or similar.
The Server/Client API now support single 'range' requests for files (basically anything not html/json). Apparently Safari was having trouble getting videos from the Client API, let's see if this fixes it. If not, I can try supporting the (more complicated) multiple range requests. The server's error handling is also improved--on certain 'emergency' errors, it was sometimes hanging without closing the connection properly.
full list
tag sorting:
the tag sort dropdown has been replaced with a dynamic control. rather than one big list with all possible permutations, you now work on each variable (sort type, asc/desc, group by) separately. what you are actually sorting is easier to understand and select
my stupid "lexicographic/incidence" labelling is replaced with the simpler and neater 'tag', 'subtag', and 'count'
when in the manage tags dialog and sorting by tag or subtag, you can now turn off the 'use sibling' sort.
I'd like to further neaten the workflow here, making the individual dropdowns flip back and forth with a mouse scroll in either directior rather than being just up/down allowed. let me know overall how you find this new control
the 'tag sort' object is updated behind the scenes as well. your old value should be converted automatically
fixed an issue with count tag sorting where deleted tag counts were being counted even when not displayed
if you try to search tags on a page of thumbnails that holds an invalid tag, this is now caught gracefully and you get a little popup saying 'please run the repair invalid tags routine'
.
misc:
the client now gives a once-per-boot warning popup if your session size exceeds 500k. for those who cannot reduce session size conveniently, this popup can be turned off under _options->gui pages_
when the file import options prohibit a file due to filesize or resolution etc.., it should now always record that as an 'ignored' result rather than an 'error'
fixed an unusual error popup in thread watcher display that could occur during session load. this problem seems to have been around for a long time, but it required a watcher in a previously saved and still valid 'wait a bit' error state and was only vulnerable for a few milliseconds, so it hadn't come up before. in any case, it is fixed
subscriptions with small 'first run' file limits now work better: if you create a subscription with a fairly small 'first run' file limit (this typically matters when the number is smaller than one of the site's gallery page's worth of results), subsequent normal checks with larger file limits will be more aggressive about noticing that they 'caught up' to that small initial sync (previously, they would sometimes incorrectly think the site just got some files tagged out of order and bump right past that initial 'already in db' batch and keep going until they hit their own file limit)
.
advanced string processing:
added a String Selector/Slicer object to the parsing system. this object allows you to select the nth item in a list of parsed strings or the mth to nth items. m can be 'start' and n can be 'end', and negative indices are allowed for both. pair it with the new Sorter for some neat new tricks!
the string processing edit UI is now _more_ multi-string-aware. the test panel has had a code cleanup pass and now has a list of all the starting strings in the test data (e.g. all the urls parsed by the formula that launched the UI) rather than just the first, and a list of all results from that list. selecting any of the starting strings populates the 'single string' area, so you can now zoom in on one particular string to see what is happening to it
the String Sorter edit UI now gets all the strings at that stage of processing, so you can review the sort properly
the new String Slicer edit UI similarly gets all the strings at that stage of processing
future updates will expand multi-string presentation and testing. I'd like to show the whole list at each stage

server/client api core improvements:
I had a go at supporting the Range header for file (basically this means anything non-html/json) requests. I added tests and it seems to work. as I understand this mostly applies to browsers pulling video from the Client API. to start, I am supporting single range requests. if it is needed, I'll try to get Multi Range requests right, but for now they'll 416
the client now understands 416 ("can't do that requested range m8") errors
I reworked the serverside error handling chain. this has been borked for a long time due to my own lack of understanding of twisted's deferred system, and certain late-stage errors were just not being handled right. the server should no longer hang on these and now should print error info correctly, including a rough 500 in true late emergencies, and terminate the connection correctly
.
boring:
fixed up a handful of typo-borked unit tests
fixed my ordinal (xst, xnd, xrd, xth) text generator to deal with 11, 12, and 13 correctly lmao
started some db maintenance routines and logistics to recover definitions and remove orphans in future, I feel great about it so far, but it'll have to wait for more of my db 'modules' refactoring to be more useful
updated the mpv dll on the Windows release to 2021-02-28, it may improve some video support/performance
updated sqlite dll on the Windows release to 3.34.1
next week
I think I am going to do a 'clean up' week and try to polish and finish off little things, no big changes, so that I can take the rest of March and perhaps the start of April to finally focus on these network improvements in one go.
