(im the fc anon) LMAOOOOO YOURE TOO FUNNY😭😭 I didn't enter the fandom till like 2016-17 but i remember seeing atj wearing a fedora because I saw someone using it for some dialogue bw them on pinterest!! alsoo I meant sophie skelton but i was obsesseddd with the idea of sophie turner as lily and now it makes me laugh😂 and you're so right about going along with the fc because they were popular, I felt like that for a long time and am glad people are more open with fcs now. even ben barnes didn't feel right for what I had in head, I remember thinking he was not good looking enough 🤣🤣🤣(WHICH IS CRAZY IK but 12 year old me was unhinged with her beauty standards👍🏻) and I don't think I'll everrrr find a good enough snape fc with good resources esp, people used to use louis garrel which didn't fir at all, and lately ita been aneurin banard who has like 3 scenes we can use😓

frrrr I wish people would use more era appropriate settings for edits esp, liking bella esp for that!! idk why the fandom thinks the wizarding world in the 70s looked like the 1800s

lmao this made me laugh! first of all not me getting the wrong sophie that's so funny. I had to look up sophie skelton and tbh I do like her quite a bit! She'd make quite a different Lily to Ciara but honestly still one I like, I think she's closer to adult Lily from the films too. There was a particular era of Sophie Turner where she was growing on me as Lily, this one, but nowadays she always looks too modern/instagrammy to me.

fr, back in the day it was like if you didn't see them as karen gillan and aaron taylor johnson who even were you. I have seen the exact same gifs of amy pond being angry in a police uniform ten billion times in my life despite never really being in the dw fandom haha.

Also lmao I forgot Aneurin Barnard is used as Snape, that's so funny after I said i used to use him as James. Snape fcs are difficult because the nature of celebrity is such that 'unattractive' people are rarely famous. I use Val Bird usually but as a model he's still a little too pretty to be Snape haha, and doesn't have very many pics either and no clips at all obviously. I'm not even going to talk about Louis Garrel because no.

I agree about Ben Barnes too, I think he's the best out of those OG casts but still not a very good Sirius haha. Lately I've been trying to find fcs actually from the era and my new fav Sirius is young Steve Winwood. Who in certain photos (like that one) is almost EXACTLY how I picture Sirius. I don't make gifs or fanvids so I'm usually not as concerned about them having usable clips as much as photos.

Anyway I've been here since 2012 (on marauders tumblr, before that I was on various hp forums. FORUMS!) which is so wild. jily was my first fandom on tumblr haha I've seen it all. I have a lot of nostalgia for that era now but looking back we were SOO intense about everything (although in general tumblr was intense about everything. we were mostly teens tbf lol)
