#in pennsylvania the only place you can buy hard liquor is The State Store aka brand name 'fine wine and good spirits'#some beers and wines are sold at SOME grocery stores (mostly giant eagle and sheetz on this side of the state)#but nothing harder than that. and the better wines are at the state store. used to be that was the only place you could buy wine#and the only place you could get beer was at the beer distributor (not quite as regulated as the state store but still state run)#bc technically we are a commonwealth and there are fairly strict rules around alcohol . we joke we never left prohibition#it was a BIG deal when you could buy beer at sheetz#yinzer er
