He sat with his back pressed against the rough wall, a mere few feet from the entry of Kaede’s hut, with even less space from a certain miko on his right. Inuyasha claimed this particular spot along the edge, the perfect place to reside while he watched over her, months ago when they began their journey for shards of the Shikon Jewel. Glancing around the well lit hut, he determined they were safe for the evening, his posture relaxing slightly at the thought, though he would remain on guard while they slept through the night.

Well considering I can't drink right now... 😂

I love Vouvray wine, especially in the summer. The one I usually get It's from Trader Joe's, but I can't recall the exact name. It's a white that is on the lighter side, tends to be fruity without being too sweet.

I'm an admittedly "not refined" wine drinker and I love rosé. Full on reds are too heavy for me and a lot of whites are too dry. I used to drink riesling a lot. The Kung Fu Girl riesling is awesome.

Sweeter Than Fiction

Summary: Kagome Higurashi is a loner, something that has never bothered her. She has her close friend, she has her favorite books she devours every chance she gets, a family who loves and supports her, and she is in her final year of college, with a dream to become a writer. Kagome has everything she needs in life, but in reality, she wishes for adventures and excitement, much like the characters in her books. In steps the captain of her college’s hockey team, a rude, unruly, and cocky hanyou named Inuyasha Taisho, and suddenly, her whole world is turned upside down.

Hey, just wanted to drop a quick thank you for making these! :) I stopped writing back in 2007 and then somehow randomly one day fell back into the world of Inuyasha fanfiction two years ago. Writing IY fics as a grown person is such a different experience. Anyways, recently, as in like the last week, discovered this whole new world of tumblr and was pleasantly surprised at how active this fandom is on here. So much fun hearing 'real people' gush about my favourite fandom!

So I JUST NOW saw this -- I have no idea how long this message has been sitting in our inbox unattended. I’m so sorry if you sent this ages ago!!

Thank you so much for this message! I’m glad you found your way back to the fandom (I had the same experience around 2017 or so). It’s definitely a different experience to plug into the fandom as an adult. In some ways it’s more fun, I think, because it’s easier to sidestep “fandom drama” and just enjoy yourself. And the Inuyasha fandom has so many creative folks in it, it’s easy to get inspiration to create yourself. :) 

I hope you’ve been enjoying yourself, and I’m glad you liked listening to our silliness! @gypsin and I have been talking about maybe recording more episodes about Yashahime, so we may be back soon.

Takes place after episodes 124-126 of the anime, where Naraku kills Kikyo and Kagome almost gets possessed by The Infant. On the way back to her home, Kagome and Inuyasha get caught in a Spring storm and take shelter in an abandoned hut. There Kagome discovers that Inuyasha has been hiding an injury from her.

O: How do you begin a story—with the plot, or the characters?

Upside to writing fanfiction is I don't make OCs and so it's always starting with plot for me because it's 99% going to be InuKag :D The small handful of non-InuKag WIPs I have all come from plot prompts and I was as surprised as you when I opted to go for other ships.

P: Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an "architect" or a "gardener"? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)

Uuuuuuh, no? I get kind of a skeleton outline and then I run and we see what happens. Benefit of writing short fic is I only have to plan out less of a cathedral with a lovely garden ..and more a shed with a potted plant.

R: Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?

Yes and also yes. There are definitely authors who I've read where I think "I love this idea and want to do something like it" (@shardetector @fawn-eyed-girl @mustardyellowsunshine @lavendertwilight89 @artistefish ) inspire me to try something stylistically (@soliska @mrfeenysmustache @anisaanisa @kstewdeux ), or who I hope to be as well known/respected as someday (@dawnrider @witchygirl99 @splendentgoddess .)

I'm sure I've forgotten someone but in my defense I haven't had more than 3 hours of sleep at a time since September.
