i have to many aus. there's main ones with big storylines like Escapism, one i haven't named, the sun prince and the forbidden knight. then little one i just have to play around with like the pirate/mythology au and tangled au

and ones i miss dearly but had to drop because of titans. the solarshot au and the judas contract s4 au i was in the middle of working on.. oh all the Gar angst/hurt in that au.. it was so good

hi!! first of all i love your fics, you write Gar so well! Second, i'd love to hear about Jon with the titans, such an interesting take, i don't watch superman and lois but that boy deserves something better., but if you prefer keeping those for yourself now, what about Gar and the Kents? i love that one!

I wrote some of my ideas for the Solarshot au here which explains why Jon ran away from Smallville and how he met the Titans. You gave give that a read if you want ❤

Here's some of my thoughts of how I think Jon's relationships with the core four are!

Dick > Their relationship was very much mentor and apprentice since Jon needed a lot of training. They would spend hours in the training room practicing combat until Dick would have to cut it short because Jon was exhausted yet insisted he was okay to keep going, and Dick would have to remind him that pushing yourself till you collapse isn't healthy and taking breaks are necessary, not a weakness. Some day during their training Dick realizes Jon isn't great with bo-staffs and more Batman-like weapons, so he gives Jon some test lazer guns to try and it instantly clicked for Jon since he's used the d.o.d's guns in the past.

Even after Jonathan graduates superhero training and becomes Solarshot, he'll always see Dick as his mentor and remember how he was the one to always remind him that you don't need powers to be a superhero.

Kory > Unlike Dick, who's more focused on training and weapons, Kory helps Jon process and understand his emotions, how he feels about his family and being a kryptonian without anything kryptonian about him. Eventually Jon tells Kory he decided he wants nothing to do with Krypton since it's nothing but a source of unhappiness for him, he just wants to be Jon and she assures him that distancing himself from something that makes him upset even if it's his heritage is okay. His happiness is more important than learning about a destroyed planet. She also made sure Jonathan knew that they asked him to join the Titans because they liked his heart and saw his potential as a hero, not because he's kryptonian. That means nothing to them.

Besides helping Jon with his emotions, he and Kory also bonded over having the same sense of humor and being the only two Titans who put some effort into their appearances while their boyfriends wear the same three shirts on rotate for a week. Whenever Kory goes shopping or just needs to get out of the tower, Jon (and Gar) comes along.

Rachel > While not the closest members since they don't have much in common, they don't have an issue getting along, though Rachel sometimes likes to tease that Jon took her place as Dick's favorite student. Jon sees Rachel a lot like Jordan, the all black wardrobe and interests like art and collecting books, even their attitudes are similar, so he tries his best to not accidentally treat her like Jordan since he's so used to being around his brother. It gets a lot easier after a few months, but he always feels a pang of sadness each time she reminds him of Jordan, making him wonder how his brother and family are doing without him but can never build enough courage to get in contact with them, mainly fearing they'll be upset that he ran away and try to drag him back to Smallville or worse, learn that they're happier now that he's out of their lives.

In the future, Rachel takes her role as aunt Raven very seriously and adores her nephew and nieces. She never has kids of her own because having them just isn't for her but she's more than happy to babysit and spoil the hell out of her brother's kids. She even teaches one of nieces some magic because she's interested in it despite having powers of her own.

Gar > Finally, the Titan member we've all been waiting for, right? Now I could write an 500 page essay about Jon and Gar's relationship so I'm gonna make this as quick and short as possible lol

Out of all the Titans, it's Gar that Jon became close with first. Gar blamed himself for Jon ending up in the tower's infirmary and promised to stick by his side until he recovered. So, everyday Gar would pop into the infirmary to give Jon company, sometimes bringing a boardgame with him because there's only so much to talk about. During their talks however is how they find out how similar they are and can't deny there was definitely a certain spark felt between them when they realized: "you're like me."

When Jon was healed enough to leave Titans Tower and was asked by the leaders if they wanted to join them, the main reason for his agreement was that he actually wanted to be apart of their team but there was also a part that wanted to stick around because he very much likes Gar and wants to stay friends with him.

And that's what happens the moment he accepts Dick and Kory's offer, Gar zooms over to him and excitedly starts telling Jon about all the fun stuff they can do, like stay up late watching movies or playing video games. Gar even helps Jon set up and decorate his new room. And the rest of the Titans realize quite quickly that Jon and Gar are attached at the hip, wherever one goes the other follows.

Kory knows exactly where this friendship is going and so does Dick, but he's isn't super thrilled about it lol

I'll go with the Solarshot au because I need to develop it more!

- the au starts a few months after season 2 ended and unlike canon, Jon's struggles and feelings did not magically disappear, they're the main driving force for his decision.

even with Ally defeated and the two worlds unmerged, Jon's life only seemed to get worse. He's been outcasted by the entire the tower and banned from playing football for using x-k, bullied at school, and with Jordan taking up his new role as Superboy beside their father, Jon found himself alone most days. He knows without powers he'll never been a top priority to his father and to his mother, he thinks she'll never truly see him the same again. All of those thoughts mixed with ones about believing his parents don't truly love him because he's no longer the "perfect" son they made him to be, he eventually gave up on Smallville and decided it was his time to leave because if Clark could leave when he was his age to find himself and be happier, why can't Jon?

because he knew for a fact his parents wouldn't let him leave even if he told them how miserable he is, Jon writes his family a very long letter explaining how he feels, why leaving is the only thing that feels right to do, and sticks to his bedroom door, then heads off with everything he might need in a dufflebag to the one place he ever felt at home, like he was somebody and not just "Superman's disappointment of a son".. Metropolis.

- in Metropolis, Jon accidentally gets tangled up in the huge mess that is the Titans (who's road trip ended up in Metropolis in the middle of trying to take down Brother Blood, who's transformed into a demonic dragon creature through absorbing Rachel's abilities. In the chaos, Jon 'sacrifices' himself to save a family who got caught up in the destruction and gets seriously injured. He gains consciousness once while the battle is going on to see that he's been dragged into a building and away from the battle, only able to see a blurry image of an animal near him before passing out again.

- the next time he wakes up and stays awake is in Titans Tower's infirmary and the first thing he sees is a green parrot perched on the bed's headboard, looking at him and flapping it's wings and squawking before flying out of the room. The parrot returns minutes later but on a adult man's shoulder.

Jonathan learns about the Titans and who they are as a superhero team while he stays in the infirmary to recover from injuries. He ends up telling Dick and Kory why he was in Metropolis in the first place, explaining his situation (without the Superman part of course) and asks if they know somewhere he can go. Dick and Kory's response is not only unrelated to his question but leaves him unable to speak, they ask him "You're kryptonian, aren't you?" then explain how they could tell by the blood tests they ran on him.

So this doesn't get too long, I'll wrap it up:

- Having to staying over a week at Titans Tower makes Jon realize he wants to join their team but still believes he's worthless without powers and that's what he tells the Titans, who (to his surprise) laugh and ask him "who told you that? you don't need powers to help people." then Dick and Tim reveal that they're both humans who use tech/weapons and combat training as their 'powers' and that Dick could train Jon.. if he wanted to join them, that is.

- if it wasn't obvious by reading the others, Gar stuck around Jon while he was in the infirmary. In the battle with Brother Blood, Beast Boy went to save that family Jon ended up saving but got distracted trying to protect himself from one of Blood's demons attempting to drain his blood but blames himself for Jon getting harmed so badly anyway. So he promised to not leave the "blonde guy" 's side until he recovered to hopefully make up for not being to protect him before.

If you wanna know anything more about this au like Jon as Solarshot and when Jon and Jordan eventually meet again after five years of being separated.

The fics I have planned for this au are one about that ^ Jon and Jordan meeting again and a future-ish one where Jon returns to Smallville but doesn't go alone, he brings his son along 😌

I thought about answering with something about Escapism but everything I have for that au that aren’t just random facts are spoilers for the fic so we're doing Solarshot au again.. hope you don't mind 😅

Let's go with the twins meeting again, shall we? I need a rough outline of it for a fic anyway, so this'll help!

It's been five years since Jon ran away from Smallville, no one knows where he went or what happened to him but the Kents pushed on with hope that Jon would return or be found by someone and be sent home. Superman always holds onto hope even if it's a tiny string, and so does his family.

Working on a case with his mother on an underground market of alien weapons too dangerous for humans to handle, Jordan finds himself in San Francisco to investigate a factory that Lois thinks might be connected. While he's sniffing around for clues, the feeling of being watched comes over Jordan and he's on high alert, searching for someone he thinks might be a dealer observing him.

When he does catch sight of someone, a chase ensues. He can't get a good look at the person besides making out that they're wearing a mask over their head to hide their identity. The chase comes to an end in another area of the factory, a little more crowded than the previous, which makes Jordan think the dealer disappeared by climbing onto the pipes in the shadows. He knows he can't let this person get away but before he can start searching, he gets struck in the back and falls to the floor. Flipping over, Jordan is met with two pistol-like guns, with a single glowing orange stripe on both sides, pointed in his face. Since he fell down his hoodie slipped off his head and Jordan flashes heat vision at the dealer as a warning, but to his confusion the dealer tilts his head like he's studying him, slowly lowers his guns, then a curious but surprised voice, distorted through the mask by different pitches blended in, asks: "Jordan?"

It takes a few moments for Jordan to process what's really going on but once it clicks and realizes there's only one person who would know that he's Jordan Kent, he asks his own question, tone a lot happier than the other's: "Jonathan?"

Jordan's happiness became stronger, turning into tears of joyful relief when the mask is removed to reveal his thought long lost brother. Before Jon can get a word in, Jordan leapt to his feet and embraced his brother in the tightest hug he could manage without breaking him with super strength. A hug Jon returns. They stay hugging for a few minutes mostly because of Jordan doesn't wanna let him go and is telling Jon: "Oh my god, you're alive! I thought I'd never see you again!" through sobs.

But the happy reunion doesn't stick around very long. Once the boys began to catch up and it was Jon's turn to explain what's been going on with him since he left, Jordan's happiness suddenly drains and is replaced with disbelief and frustration when Jon reveals that he's engaged.

Upset and hurt that his brother never kept in contact and just let their family believe he was harmed or worse when he could have put their five years of fear to rest with a simple phone call, Jordan gets into an argument with Jon: "What the hell is wrong with you! Do you have any idea what you put us through! What? You didn't feel special enough at home so you ran away to play superhero in San Francisco?" which makes Jon respond with: "Sorry I interrupted your perfect, super life, but I couldn't contact you because I knew once you found me, mom would send dad to drag me back home and I wanted nothing to do with that backwoods hell!"

The argument gets louder and more aggressive from there. Jordan's upset because he sees Jonathan’s decision as selfish and heartless towards his family while Jon's upset that Jordan still refuses to see and hear him and his feelings, not understanding that Smallville and living in his family's shadows made him so miserable and depressed that he thought running away was the only way to escape and finally be happy again.

Their argument ends up getting them both caught by the 'workers' of the factory and they're both captured.

Hi Cods!

I got inspired by your reply to my ask to talk about an au that I've kinda started writing?

It's originally a Donna Troy x fem!OC, but since I found out that Jordan Kent is basically The CWs OC, who basically replaces Jon (which I will forever be mad about), I think I wanna change it.

I think it's gonna turn into a Donna Troy x Kory Anders, then eventual Donna x Dawn Granger? I still gotta think about it more, though.

Anyway, the OC (who was originally named Teagan, I totally forgot about the Teagan in S&L) whose new name is Nel (after a mutual of mine, they've always been so kind to me) and she's an artist, who is the lesbian aunt (adopted) to Jon and Jordan. She's closer to Jon since he's such a ray of sunshine, plus she was the first one he came out to. Then there's a knock on the door and it turns out to be Conner Kent, who says that he's Superman's son as well as Lex Luthor's. Well, Conner says that Dick wants both twins to come train at the Titans Tower. Clark and Lois says no, then Nel volunteers to go.

And that's all I have.

I think I'm gonna take a break and start the Donna Troy x Kory Anders au.

*Jon getting a text from his parents that tells him he can't go to Titans Tower* "This text can't stop me because I can't read."

That sounds cool!! DickKory is my fav but I like DonnaKory too. They were cute together at the beginning of season 2.

I got so many aus lmao but Escapism and Solarshot are my main ones with actual storylines. I have a Titans/S&L oc too that I share with my friend, I gotta finish the fic I started about him 😅 he's got his own au too.
