Giving up on a 100% run of FFX-2, because I've hit my bullshit superboss limit. Via Infinito is really just there to test your patience. This game takes every chance it gets to remind you that it HATES you.

FFX-2 is such a massive tonal shift from its predecessor - having a lot of similar and intertwining themes, but presenting them in a completely different fashion; and I think that's neat! But unfortunately the plot just gets bogged down by how...chaotic the gameplay is. Like the combat is genuinely fun! The dresspheres and job system are great! But that all gets interrupted constantly by mandatory, and horrible, mini-games! It gives you free rein to do missions in any order, but then punishes you if you do them in the wrong order?

You need like spreadsheets AND a guide to 100% THE MAIN PLOT, and even completing everything exactly as needed you still may be penalized for, or for not, doing something you weren't even aware of. This game actively hates its player for trying to get gameplay out of it. It's so bizarre.

I don't think I've ever actually fully watched the Game Awards; my only yearly knowledge is through internet osmosis......but I'll give it a go with POTF present this year.

We've been having shit problems with our internet provider (ie; they just cut off ALL our services for DAYS for no reason???) so they've given us Netflix for like a year to pacify us, and now unfortunately anime fever has struck me down.

I'm generally pretty androgynous/masc passing while I'm in my work uniform - so I'm used to he/him thrown my way - but I had a dude thank me today by calling me 'brother' in the most Hulk Hogan sounding ass cadence I've ever heard and I almost completely lost my shit.
