B L U E Finding a blue pigment in nature is tricky, especially in the UK, so I was over the moon to find this baby blue pigment on a little remote beach called Kintra on Isle of Mull. It has completely baffled me though. I think that *maybe* it might be a type of iron reduction in waterlogged soil. But. I mean, im no geologist and my science is pretty crappy. A few pigment/geologist people that I’ve asked don’t like to say what it might be without doing a sample test but honestly, any educated ideas are very welcome. The photos are very true to colour. Regardless, I’m so thrilled with this fabulous colour! Swipe to see the original rock/soil find and to see it crushed into powder form.
