Save time with your social media marketing by batch producing content. ⠀⠀⠀⁣ ⁣ I have a list of topics and themes I post to my social media. I aim to rotate through personal, industry and business posts. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ When I’m creating posts for the coming week, I use my themes and topics list to ensure I have posts on a variety of topics.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ When I sit down and write the captions I can usually write five or six captions in the time it takes me to write two captions separately. Why? Once I get on a roll I write faster. Stopping and starting slows me down.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ Do I always produce all my content a week ahead? No! Sometimes I have a bright idea I simply must post today.⁣ ⁣ But I usually produce at least half of my posts ahead of time. For a long time I hardly ever made videos because I’m not very good at editing video. It took me hours to create a few minutes of useable video.⁣ ⁣ Then I discovered going live.⁣ ⁣ No one expects live video to be perfect, because it’s live.⁣ ⁣ ✔I spend a few minutes planning what I want to say⁣ ✔I write out the key points and any stats on a file card⁣ ✔Practise a couple of time⁣s ⁣ 👉Then I go live.⁣ ⁣ On Instagram people can watch the replay for 24 hours. Nails on a chalkboard!⁣ ⁣ Just thinking about it makes you cringe.⁣ ⁣ It doesn’t have to be that cringe worthy but poor audio in your IGTV, YouTube or Facebook Lives has a similar effect on your viewers.⁣ ⁣ One of the strengths of video is your audience spend more time on your posts. They get a real chance to know, like and trust you. You have a better chance of getting them to take your call to action.⁣ ⁣ But that’s only true if people watch more than a few seconds of your video.⁣ ⁣ Studies show that while audiences will be somewhat forgiving of less than perfect video quality, they won’t tolerate poor audio. ⁣ ⁣ They’ll click away and watch someone else’s video⁣ ⁣ If you want to do one simple thing to up-level your video production, purchase a microphone - even if you’re only filming on your smartphone.⁣ ⁣ Either a shotgun mic or a lapel mic will significantly upgrade your audio.⁣ ⁣ Want to know which brands I use (plus other accessories to improve your video)? Almost hit my step count for today.🏃 First time in a couple of weeks. I think my desk chair must be lonely today 🤣🤣 Getting away from my desk is a challenge.
