soga and you first met in the hospital, when you visited your sister. you assumed he was a friend of tamao, only for him to clarify he's a friend or nobody – not your sister nor your father!

despite how defensive he was about being friends with them, it was immediately clear to you that he was a good guy and cared about them

and to his friends, it was immediately clear that soga had taken a liking in you, as the boy asked you to buy some snacks for your sister with him at the vending machine nearby

after that first encounter that day, soga ended up giving you his number and from that point on, you began texting almost daily!

your father wasn't very pleased to find out about it, but he knew there were worse guys you could be dating, so he didn't say anything

though you always insisted that you weren't dating soga! at least, not yet…

soga was a bit hesitant to ask you out. he never thought he'd be like that when it came to girls

but perhaps he was just worried he'd ruin not only his friendship with you, if you rejected him, but also with your sister and your father!

I've been reading and enjoying your live-blog of Vigilantes as someone who couldn't get into it (Soga. I hate him!) I'm glad to see I haven't missed much! I don't think anyone's brought it up but you comment that Aizawa's backstory should have been in the main series (which I agree with) and I wonder if it was in Vigilantes to boost sales/interest/readership/etc. IDK how well vigilantes did sales wise but I haven't seen a lot of fan works for it

Oh I'm glad you're enjoying it! It is a shame the problems this series had, I wanted it to be better so much... But well, the end is approaching anyways, and if this is how we're gonna go down, well...

We can always reforge reality.

And I do wonder if that was some ploy to gather more readers. I talked a lot before about how... Distinct, the start and the middle of the story were. At some point the characters changed but not in a way that signified growth, it's more like they started to become more in line with the stereotypical tropes. Koichi went from a cynical but good-hearted straight-man to a dense doofus, Pop went from a small celebrity secretly in love with Koichi who was looking for a chance to tell the truth but happened to have a short fuse to a generic tsundere, knuckles went from a funny bloodthirsty fighter hiding secrets from his friends who decided to pass the torch once he saved who was truly important to him because his fight was over to, well *gestures wildly* to whatever happened to him along the way.

And we won't even touch Soga and co.

My point is, it seems like they started to conform more to the usual shonen molds as it went, and I can't help but think it had something to do with getting more readers. The heroes from the main series also showed up constantly and pretty much highjacked the plot every single arc, which, sure, is cool when it was Tensei and Fatgum, since they weren't seen too much in the main story, but Aizawa got a whole arc dedicated solely to him, where Koichi showed up only twice.

And what about all the cool characters we got to know? What about Tamao, Monika, the criminal twins, that girl who puked on Koichi, the magician and his band, the president and her dancers, the people turned into nomus that were having trouble reintegrating into society, Rachel and Bam, the X-bros, koichi's mom... all of them discarded or forgotten or there just to fill the background. There were so many cool people back then who were severely underutilized, even Stain could have been more prominent in the story if handled correctly. Hell I wanted to see more of Pamela, she stole my heart, the best character in the series.

It is a shame, I wanted this to be so much better, I can see all that untapped potential just there, waiting to be used but alas, that will fall for us to solve...

The end is approaching for this series... And a new beginning shall take place... (:

Any other day and you might have been offended, but- “You looked like you needed a pick-me-up,” you say, offering him the bloom again. When he doesn’t take it, you tuck it into the chest pocket on his jacket. “Anyone asks and you can say a secret admirer just had to give it to you.”

“...Thanks,” he mutters and then scowls. “Though part of me feels like I should be offended by that last part.”

“Why?” You ask, waving as you turn away with a grin. “After all, it’s true.”

Mundos Opuestos (Raiden x Reader x ¿Kung Lao?) (Cap1)

Por fin, nuevamente no hay monos en la costa. Dije mientras caminaba en lo profundo de un bosque no muy lejano a mi hogar, vengo aquí cuando quiero meditar o también cuando deseo un momento de lectura, específicamente los que mi madre solía enseñarme cuando era niña.

Busqué entre la inmensa arboleda una típica mesa de piedra en la cual acuesto mis libros místicos. Antes de comenzar a practicar me aseguré que nadie esté al acecho de mi, después de todo, tengo prohibido el acceso a cualquier tipo de lecturas...

Acosté el libro sobre la mesa, cerré los ojos iniciando una serie de movimientos con ambas manos, volví abrir los ojos, las páginas comenzaron a cambiar drásticamente hasta quedar completamente inmóviles.

Comencé a dictar una serie de palabras, en ese momento, un aura indudablemente rojiza rodeó mi cuerpo, mis ojos brillaron en cada oración dándome una sensación que jamás habia presenciado antes...

¡Aarghhg! ¡¡M-MM-MI CABEZA!!

Experimenté un intenso dolor haciendo que caiga de rodillas, en breve, una ráfaga de eventos pasa por mi mente, gritos de súplicas, el reino de Edenia en ruinas, personas que desconocías de su existencia luchando descontroladamente.

¡¡Nrrghrg!! ¡¡D-Duele m-mucho!!

Aún arrodillada ya no sentias el suelo, comenzaste a levitar aun siendo rodeada por el feroz viento que movía bruscamente los árboles observando una vez más futuros acontecimientos catastófricos.

Finalmente caíste derrotada sobre el frío cesped, te sentiste débil por breves segundos recopilando la cantidad de visiones que pasaron por tu mente.

¿Q...Qué acaba de pasar?

De pronto los árboles comenzaron a estremecerse apareciendo por en medio una especie de portal frente a ti a lo que rápidamente tomas tu libro alejandote del lugar.

Corriste con toda la prisa del mundo para avisar a tu padre, en el camino notas que el cielo comienza a tonarse de un color púrpura intenso algo que nunca habia sucedido antes.

Esto no está pasando... no puede estar pasando... no puede...

"¡¡PAPÁ!! ¡¿DÓNDE ESTAS?!"

Grité desconsoladamente ni bien abrí la puerta buscando por todas partes a mi padre.

En ese momento escuchas unos gruñidos muy cerca de donde estabas, asomaste la cabeza por un lado de las ventanas y notas unos seres repugnantes que en tu vida jamas viste, lo único destacable de ellos eran una cantidad incontable de dientes rodear su enorme mandíbula.

Subes por las escaleras encerrandote en tu habitación buscando un objeto con qué trancar la puerta, en eso escuchas pasos invadir los escalones, lentamente retrocediste.

Ya están aquí...

Sentiste tu corazón latir a mil, tus manos comenzaron a sudar y tu respiración se agitaba en cada golpe que daban a tu puerta.

"¡Carne fresca!"

Habló uno de ellos.

—P-Porfavor n-no me... ¡no me hagan daño!

Tartamudeas.

En un ataque despiadado levantas tus antebrazos en un intento de cubrirte, para tu sorpresa, surgió una especie de energía de las palmas de tus manos arremetiendo contra los repugnantes seres.

Miraste al suelo hacia los mutantes caídos, no dudaste ni un segundo en salir corriendo de allí bajando rápidamente dirigiendote a la salida.

Al salir solo te encontraste con muertes, destrucción, los mismos gritos que sonaban por tu mente pidiendo ayuda, bajas la mirada cubriendo tus ojos mientras todo pasaba por tu alrededor.

Permaneciste pensativa por un momento, pero a pesar que todo se esté derrumbando a tu alrededor no puedes quedarte un segundo más en este lugar.

Te dirigiste lo más rápido al sótano, a pesar de que Edenia en su mayoria del tiempo es un paraíso raras veces ocurrían desastres naturales o en caso de sufrir invasiones tu padre te enseñó a estar siempre un paso adelante, el preparar un maletín que contenga lo necesario, lo suficiente para un par de días.

A pesar de que nunca pensaste que ese dia llegaría no tienes otra opción, quedarte es solo un suicidio.

Que los Dioses antiguos me acompañen.

Preguntó Jax sosteniendo su taza de café.

—Lo sé, es una pena, temo que suceda lo mismo aquí.

Responde Sonya quien se halla en uno de los computadores.

—¡Tonterías! Tenemos un gran protector, "Thor" el Dios del trueno.

Jax se hechó a reir a carcajadas, Sonya con falta de paciencia solo lo quedó mirando.

Mientras los labores de las fuerzas especiales se realizan con normalidad, una vibración alertó una de las computadoras.

"¡Comandante! Nos informan sobre un inmigrante de Edenia a unos kilómetros de aquí"

Anunció uno de los cabos.

—¿Edenia, eh? Apuesto todo lo que sea que no están satisfechos con solo tomar ese reino.. Iremos a investigar de inmediato, necesitaré refuerzos.

Una vez dicho, Sonya se levantó de su asiento recargando su arma regresandolo a su cinturón.

Ya en el lugar, un helicóptero transportaba a Sonya junto a Jax  mientras unos tanques ya estan preparados en el lugar donde se encontraba aquel inmigrante de la zona, tú.

Logré salir del reino, fue difícil atravesar miles de esos mutantes asquerosos, pero ahora... daría todo por... u-un momento de descanso.

De repente mi atención es captada por las hélices de un helicoptero en camino, por un momento pensé que se irían de mi lado, pero para mi sorpresa, se detuvieron justo a unos pocos metros de mi.

Una soga cae frente a mi seguido de una mujer con gafas oscuras acercandose no de forma para nada amigable con ambas manos sobre su cintura.

—¿Quién eres? ¿Y por qué estás aquí?

Pregunta Sonya en tono de autoridad.

Dejé caer mi maleta aun lado para responder con tranquilidad.

—Provengo de Edenia, el reino fue invadido, tuve suerte en escapar... realmente no quiero causar problemas, pero necesito su ayuda ...urgente.

Sonya te observa de pies a cabeza asintiendo, hace una señal al helicóptero para aterrizar mientras tomas nuevamente tu maleta alejandote unos metros.

soga didn't even bother to look up from his phone as he interrupted you.
