I think it’s amazing that reader and yoongi could have essentially been “the one that got away” so easily. They could of just had that one summer day and they could have continued trying to navigate their lives and relationships separately. Even before that they could of just kept their crushes and glances to themselves, not mentioning it to anyone, but deep down thinking to themselves “what if” this happened and shrugged the silly idea off and continued on just being the brothers best friend and best friends little sister. It could have never even started in the first place, reader could have never moved back and yoongi could of continued on with the motions of lackluster “relationships”. reader could have stayed with their pervious partners and yoongi could have remained in his former relationship. I think it’s so amazing (a little like fate?) that this all happened in the way it did. It happened so naturally. I think that their first time was so powerful and such a memorable moment to the two of them because it’s all of these feelings and emotions essentially erupting right as they decide that it’s not something that they want to stop. They have been observing the other, they’ve been in each other’s lives since they were children, they are aware of the others presence and the presence becomes more and more present as they continue on. They have these conflicting thoughts about how much the other should mean to them yet they are unable to deny the significance and impact that this situation has had on them. Two people who have found themselves trapped have just had a door opened and they walk through and meet the person on the other side, the person to guide them through. This all could have never happened and it makes me wonder how they would have had to navigate this time without the guidance of one another. In dalo reader says “Over drinks, or on a balcony, laughing with him as the two of you reminisce over fond memories that no one else will have. You’d tell him through glances, or smiles: Remember? The week we played pretend?” It could have ended after that week, they could have stopped it there and went back to life before it got flipped for them. There have been so many instances where that line in Dalo could’ve been the reality but they chose themselves and they chose the other. For that I’m so grateful and so proud that they were able to realize the potential of this relationship so that the other wouldn’t be the person they think of 20 years down the line when someone asks if they ever fought for love.

I’m so… I don’t even know what to say to this other than I’m really glad I decided to keep their story going. Because I left the one-shot open ended for a reason, and I knew that if they called back to me, I would keep going.

And they did.

So.. you could say this pairing could’ve also been the one that got away, too. But they didn’t, they’re still very much here, and they aren’t going away for a very long time.

The drabble is fantastic. Of course Jimin is the funniest and softest human being. Also he really is evil. Whether he said what he said bc he knows about oc/yoongi or bc he remembers their childhood it’s perfect bc it’s savage either way. Tae is just something… the thoughts I have ryen. Dom is the realest friend ever and I love her. And Yoongi is worse than Jimin in terms of evil but a yoonmin bias never wins always wins so I guess I’m here to endure all the suffering. Loved this whole thing.

I think it’s always made me soft about how communicative and caring Yoongi had been towards reader from go. From making sure she was okay with everything at the beginning to everything at dalo.

Also just them making sure the other communicates rather than just sitting on their feelings (even if it’s difficult) which they’ve gotten better at over time. They’re very intentional and attentive to each other. Which is so important. And they have that inherent level of trust because they’ve been able to be communicative. Like the whole time reader was like if you’re with other people and he’s reiterated that every single time she’s asked and they’ve been together that he wouldn’t do that to her.

Like they’ve both kind of held back because of the whole situation but they’ve both realized what they have is too important to let go of, they’re too important to each other. And just their domestic moments of sharing the same bed or cooking together.

Whenever the ily drops, it will feel very appropriate and “earned” for lack of a better word because of their whole journey and what it continues to be.

tldr; I love how they make efforts to communicate even when it’s tough and how they value & trust each other. (Do I want that in a relationship & am jealous? Maybe)

The softest thought I can think of is a friend bondfire.

Everyone just sitting around a big bon fire on logs and fold up chairs in the middle of autumn. Snuggled in vests and sweaters. Ears reddened from the new cold in the air. Leaves half fallen from the trees and the scent of fall in the air.

Tae and Jimin squished together, one of them making s’mores—whoever is the bigger (lovingly) pain in the ass tries to shove a whole s’more in the others mouth, smiles a plenty.

Readers friends all sitting around with their respective partners too. Some just talking with Ike another, others getting in on the s’more action. Dom stealing all the dark chocolate for herself. (She seems like a dark chocolate person to me)

Reader sitting on Yoongs lap while he holds her close and she roasts a marshmallow for them. His nose on her neck, finally happy to be able to do this in public. No more secrets.

Bro, maybe there with his own person, seeing everyone in his life happy and unbothered and feeling an inner peace he hasn’t in a long time. Being forced into becoming a provider for a sibling (and in general) at such a young age, that feeling of unease never goes away, the feeling like he needs to protect everyone he cares about otherwise something will slip through the cracks and destroy everything, just like it did before.

Having everyone that matters in one place. Safe and happy? He can finally take a breath.

softest 3tan thought is just the 3tan cat choosing Yoongi's apartment because animals are such good judges of character. then Yoongi taking care of the cat just with what he currently had. 😭

other than that, I really love the Yoongi-Reader-Brother dynamic because seeing another side to the person you're so used to being with is so endearing 🥰

and of course, when they finally get to saying I love you to each other 🥺

I just.. think about them absentmindedly doing things in front of people with no thoughts whatsoever; him holding her closer, playing with her fingers, leaning on each other, automatically seeking warmth in each other? ("It's cold, huh?" Reader would whisper to herself, and Yoongi, who was talking with someone, would just grab her hand and brush his thumb over and over again without even turning😭) (also at some point I imagined that smth actually happened at dalo that OC was so shaken and bro was there but shes just shaking and crying and she only wanted yoongi so he had to go step up and fuck it and held her in front of him and yoongis like.. we'll talk, but this is more important now 😭😭😭😭😭)

I think about a time when reader and Yoongi are open about their relationship and they’re in a good place with each other and with brother. I imagine a conversation between reader and bro where he says that it’s still very weird to him. But he’s getting there. He sees how happy they both are and that’s all that matters to him. And then they hug. And then I cry 😭😭😭

one of the things about 3tan that makes me sappy is the relationship between bro and yoongi. i know people have been speculating as to whether or not bro knows or would care, but either way i have faith that they'd work things out. and I'm pretty sure bro knows yoongi has a soft spot for reader and obv really trusts him (and the other guys ofc) with them. :( like, why else would he have felt okay leaving after the whole basketball situation?? he knew yoongi was gonna watch out for reader :(

also smth about bro asking yoongi if he was good after he found out about what went down at dalo 👀

really the relationships between anyone and their friend group makes me soft tbh. i think that's something that some fanfics really miss out on??? obv i love reading about yoongi and reader but i love reading about all of them together just as much </3 just a bunch of bffs supporting and loving each other 🫂

also anytime yoongi/reader calls the other love AHHHHHH. the scene where yoongi washes reader's hair, anytime they're cuddly, SLEEPY YOONGI. the CAT and how yoongi would've immediately gotten anything reader wanted for it. yoongi saying reader makes him feel safe OOOOGFHKFHF.

yoongi and reader have this amazing relationship where they have essentially become the silver linings within each others lives. it’s so beautiful and heartwarming to think of how much just being there for the other during this time where they are both still trying to navigate their emotions and their happiness is so so special!

I’ve… been (extremely hesitantly) writing a series (of drabbles) about “Little Intimacies” with KNJ…largely based on true stories. I got the most inspiration? After penning you my Flutter/Window analyses…because those are the moments I love most (and you have great mutuals giving me encouragement). Going to paste a portion of my 🧡 for Window below (soft). 

[The “mad” in 3tanW, I think, was cathartic. Both parties accept their own role in the conflict, wanting to understand AND be understood: “I really am sorry,” you apologize with a heavy heart, cradling his fingers in yours. “I should’ve just trusted you.”

“I get why you don’t.” 

Your chest pangs as you close your hold. “Stop. I’ll work on it. Okay?”

 “Me, too.” 

This Yoongi you’ve literally loved into existence is empathetic, as opposed to merely… sympathetic; I think it’s an important distinction that is sometimes missed by others…]

BUT ANYWAYSSYSYS?!?!?!?! The jk reveal that they had something going on, but he still feels sm love for her even after breaking her heart (I wonder if it was him trying to let her go when she was leaving and the whole situation got misunderstood) but I really thought this revelation in the chapter would predict all the future angst of 3tan9 and then no happiness between yoongi and oc, but ofc I’m WRONG?!?!! (Happily) I really wonder how everyone will take the news of them messing with each other now

ALSO JIN AS BROTHER?!?!?!?!?!?!? I actually thought it was joon, but joon and hobi being yoongi’s studio mates actually makes sm sense and Jin is obviously the dream big brother. I remember oc said something about how they (jin) went through a lot w their parents and I wonder if that bonded them more to want to live together as adults.

I ALSO HAVE QUOTES FROM EVERYTIME I HAD A MENTAL BREAKDOWN READING (some might not be in order as I literally re read 18 times:

“As you pull him in impossibly close, a thought pierces through you like lightning. That maybe—just maybe—he speaks through actions, because his mind already says too much.” There’s not much to say but🥹🥹🥹

The song fades to background noise, but it’s still wonderful, hearing his distinct voice on recording while feeling his lips in person.” - I might actually cry. The tender kisses throughout the story have made me melt in ways I didn’t know was possible. I was already down for this couple BUT NOWWWW??? Yeah scoot over, I’m joining🙄🙄

YEAHHH THE JK REVEAL!! it's a lot deeper than people ever imagined and that's what makes it heartbreaking.. and yoongi bowing out when he believes this is the better option?? it hurts. it hurts it hurts but then we get their actual exercise of communication. happy they decided to work things out after reader calls out yoongi so blatantly!
