Hello ! I was curious, I haven't been able to find a name for this specific decoration at the ends of furisode sleeves with the knots and tassels, do you have any idea what they're called or more info on them? (Your blog is a wonderful resource and gallery, thank you !)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hi and thank you for your kind words <3
You're lucky, I've been through that specific rabbit hole before ;) You can find those past posts wondering about kamuro apprentices fashion here and here ;)
TLDR: I don't have a specific answer as they're refered by several names - generic terms sodekukuri/sodegukuri (sleeve tie) or sode no himo (sleeve "ribbon") being the most prevalent.

If It Were Me Chapter Four
Author’s Note: I have researched multiple times on various sites and even in the manga. Inuyasha’s sword has been spelled both ways: Tessiaga and Tetsusaiga. I previously found episode six of the anime series and it too was spelled Tetsusaiga. But because of some other research, I am going to spell it Tessiaga. Because according to the Japanese dictionary for dummies, “tsu” is not found in the Japanese alphabet.
Now I could be absolutely wrong, NOT everything they put on the internet is true, AND I am an American, who wishes she knew the original Japanese language. So, either way you want to spell it; Tetsusaiga or Tessiaga, it still means Iron-Crushing Fang.
For my girls for being the support and the voices of encouragement I need every day. I love y’all so much. @adorableears7 @kags09 @lacyjaybird @inukag-4ever @inunanna @keichanz
Previously in If It Were Me:
                         Chapter Four: Aristocratic Assassin, Sesshomaru
It was quiet, far too quiet.
As they approached the mountain side, Kagome was a bit more nervous than she wanted to admit. “It’s never this silent.” She spoke. “The mountains are always alive with noise of animal life.” Inuyasha sensed it too and his ears twitched once then twice, but he could only hear the rustling of the leaves from the wind. Kagome climbed off his back and made her way to the opening of a small cave at the top of the hill Inuyasha had landed on. “This way.”
The half-demon followed her, keeping alert of any movement or noise in the distance. The cave was dark and Inuyasha could hear the faint dripping of water. “Do you have a light?” The look on the miko’s face said it all, so with a sigh, Inuyasha stopped. Hadn’t he brought his house keys with him? His key chain had a small, flashlight on it. Shoving his hands in his pockets, he searched for the keys. “I know I brought them.” He mumbled. Inuyasha withdrew his cell phone, which would have been great, had it not died two days ago. With a triumphant shout he withdrew them from the top pocket of his uniform jacket. “Found them.”
“You have been mumbling, what is so—hey!” The bright light flashed in her face.  “What is that?”
“It’s called a flashlight.”
“Huh? Amazing.” Kagome took it from him, aiming it directly into her eyes.
“No!” Inuyasha reprimanded her as he snatched the flashlight from her grasp. “You want to be blind?”
Kagome shook her head quickly, before grabbing his hand. “I believe there is a door at the back of the cave. If rumors are true.”
“We’re going off a rumor?”
Kagome nodded as she led him into the belly of the cave. He aimed the light as he examined the walls and floor, like hell he was going to fall into a never ending gap in the cave bottom. He wasn’t sure what he was looking for, but Kagome had a right mind. “Aim that thing over there.” Inuyasha did as told and she smiled. “There it is. Inuyasha, welcome to Tashio Castle.”
The half-demon helped her pushed the doors open. A gust of wind whirled around them and Inuyasha sneezed as the dust surrounded his sensitive nose. When his vision cleared, his mouth fell open. The castle was magnificent. “This belongs to my father?”
Kagome moved to stand beside him. “Yes, only I am not sure if Sesshomaru has ever made his way to the castle. Once your father disappeared, the remaining staff had a seal placed over the castle. No youkai can enter.”
“Um, I’m part youkai.” He stated.
She nodded. “But you are blood. I believe you are indeed safe.”
Inuyasha smiled as the raven, haired beauty took his hand once more. He followed her through the winding courtyard and up to the front doors. Pushing through, they entered the main hall. It was quite a sight for Kagome. Never had she seen such an exquisite place. He sniffed a few times, but he shook his head. “I don’t smell or sense anyone or thing in the area.”
“Me either.” She looked at him. “I mean I don’t sense anyone. I’ll leave the smelling to you.” He laughed at her comment.
Following the main hall to a large staircase in the center of the palace, Kagome stepped up. She motioned for him to follow. The stairs led up to a second floor, then a third floor, until finally they came to the fourth and final floor. Kagome intertwined their fingers. “It’s dark.”
Inuyasha aimed the light down until it rested on a large vault like door at the end of the long hall. “What is that?” He asked moving to stand before her.
Kagome shrugged as they continued on, stopping for a moment to listen for a sound. “Do you hear anything?” Inuyasha shook his adorable, dog-eared head. “Okay, well how do we open the door?”
“I’m guessing Abra Cadabra won’t help us.”
“Um, what?”
“Never mind.” He sighed. Inuyasha wasn’t sure what he could do to open the door. Inuyasha turned to look at her and he pointed to her chest. His rosary was glowing a bright red. “What the hell?” She pulled the necklace from around her slender neck and handed it to him. It reacted the closer he put it to the stone.
“Inuyasha, the door has a marking that looks exactly like the fangs on your necklace.” She took the rosary and placed one of the fangs in the indented stone. The fang became a brighter red for a moment and then the door made a loud grunt in protest before opening up with a shake. Inuyasha grabbed Kagome and pulled her to him as the ground shook violently.
Soon the passage opened up completely and they stepped inside. Inuyasha placed the necklace back around her slender neck, which caused her to blush violently, and crossed the threshold into the room to examined the space. In the center was a large table, and on that table was a set of red sashinuki and a suikan with a white haori. “What a beautiful color.” Kagome said. “You can wear this in this era until we get you home.” She put the outfit up to him. “Try it on.”
Inuyasha protested at first, but Kagome had a look in her eyes that he didn’t understand why he couldn’t say no. Damn wench is really annoying. Making me feel all weird. He sighed. “Hand them over wench.” He snatched them from her and told her to turn around while he dressed. Of course she couldn’t see him in the darkness anyway. The vault had no windows for the sunlight to spill through. “Okay.” He held his other clothes in his arm.
She aimed the light at him and her heart hit the floor. The sleeves split open above the shoulders, and the cuffs had a string woven through them called a sode-kukuri. His hakama were bloused at the ankles and the hakama cords tied in front. The red contrasted with the silver of his hair so well and she felt herself feeling unusual. Was this the sort of attraction women felt when they had a heat pooling in the pit of their stomach? She wasn’t sure. She never felt sexually attracted to anyone, even Onigumo. His golden eyes searched hers for a moment, a faint blush on his cheeks.
“You’re red Kagome.” He teased. She looks like she wants to eat me. He thought the way her eyes roamed his body. “Are they—it look okay?” He asked.
She snapped back to attention. “Oh—uh yes. Very nice. Fits perfectly.” The priestess turned and flashed the light elsewhere. A gleam caught her eye and she roamed the room once more. On the wall a set of swords were displayed. “Inuyasha, look.” Under one sword, was the Kanji word for Tessaiga and under the other sword was the Kanji word for Tenseiga. “Hm, Tessaiga and Tenseiga huh?” She reached out to touch one, but the sword Tessaiga pulsed.
“Kagome.” He felt an urge to reach out and grab it. Something in him was pushing to the surface. His demonic side had been dormant since he could remember, why was it reacting now? His eyes flashed red and Kagome moved away from him.
“Inu--yasha?” Her voice broken with a hint of fear.
His fangs grew longer and his claws as lengthened a fair amount. His knuckles cracked as a red hue surrounded him. Purple streaks appeared on his cheeks and a blue orb appeared in the center of his eyes where the pupil once was. Tessaiga pulsed once more and shook against the display. Kagome looked from him to the sword. Is it calling out to him? Before she could think, she grabbed the sword and thrust it into Inuyasha’s hands. Once his palm was on the handle of the sword, the red disappeared and his eyes slowly returned to normal. “What the hell?” He asked as he shook his head and rubbed his temple.
“I think—the sword, Tessaiga, was calling out to you. I’m not sure why, but it pulsed and you changed, a demonic form took over. Once the sword stopped shaking, I handed it to you and you calmed down.” She rested her hands on his shoulder. “Are you okay?”
He nodded and shrugged her off. “Yeah. Thanks.” He placed the sword on his hip. “I’m sure my father will know what is going on once I finally get home again. Let’s get out of here.” He tugged her towards the door. They left the vault open as they ran for the courtyard.
Stopping, Inuyasha sniffed. He halted causing Kagome to run into his back. “What is it?”
“Hand me my rosary.” Kagome did as told and Inuyasha slipped it on. He shrugged. “I sensed something, but it’s gone now. Come on. I don’t really like it here. Something about this place is giving me the willies.” Fuck. Did he really just say “willies”? Smooth move, dog-boy.
Kagome was not sure what the ‘willies’ were, but she sure didn’t want it. “Okay.”
Once they exited the cave, Inuyasha once again had halted. Sesshomaru? Before him stood his half-brother, wearing some unusual clothes, much like the ones he was wearing.
Kagome gaped at him. Is that a tail?
His kimono, Kagome noticed, was a beautiful white with red and white flowers that resembled lotus petals, down the side of the sleeves. A flower crest at the collar and sleeves, flashed showing that he is of royal birth. Sesshomaru's armor was a spiked pauldron that covered his left shoulder attached to the upper section of his cuirass and "lotus petal" faulds. Around his waist was a large yellow sash that swirled with a deep blue design. He wore white sashinuki hakamas that gathered at the ankles, much like Inuyasha’s red ones. On his right shoulder he had his mokomoko-sama: the fur and tail of his true form which was oblivious to Kagome, because Inuyasha knew his brother’s true form. He currently retains in a humanoid form.
“Is that the crescent moon of the royal family?” Kagome asked.
“What is it to you, human?”
“I never noticed it before.” Kagome mumbled.
“This Sesshomaru has no use of the likes of you pathetic humans.” He glared at Inuyasha, his deep golden orbs piercing Inuyasha’s hidden ones. “You, why are you wearing the Robe of the Fire Rat?”
Inuyasha looked down. “What are you talking about?”
“The robe you fool. My father kept it hidden in a vault with the—“ He stopped “Tessaiga?”
Kagome pulled at his arm. “We can’t let him know who you are.” She barely whispered. Inuyasha nodded.
“We found it in the vault.” Kagome spoke up.
“Impossible. Give it to me.”
“No.” Inuyasha pushed Kagome behind him. “Finders keepers.”
Sesshomaru’s claws grew a nasty green. “I shall take it by force.” He flipped out a poison whip and Inuyasha covered his face with the sleeve of his robe. The whip stopped and he looked up. “Are you going to fight human?”
Inuyasha looked at him. “Didn’t wanna.”  Another whip came out and this time Inuyasha wielded the sword. It was rusty and thin. “What the hell is this?”
Sesshomaru looked pleased. “It cannot be wielded by a human.” He spoke as if to mock Inuyasha. “This Sesshomaru wants what is rightfully his.” He sent another attack of poisonous whips at him.
Kagome grew furious. “You’re not fighting fair Sesshomaru!” She shouted. Kagome fired a sacred arrow at him and he caught it with his fingers, the poison disintegrating it.
“Kagome. Stay back! That poison is not to be taken lightly!” Inuyasha yelled. “I will protect you! Trust me!”
“When it comes to humans, I, of course, bear no such weakness.” Sesshomaru spat aiming for Kagome.
Shaking his sword  he looked at Kagome. “Piece of shi—“ The sword pulsed angrily. “Huh?” With one more go, the sword transformed into a large fang. He almost dropped it from the weight. “Fuck.”
The older demon glared. “Impossible.” Flying forward in anger, Sesshomaru swiped at Inuyasha. He threw the sword up and collided with he daiyoukai. Tessiaga beamed angrily once again and Inuyasha swung with a powerful sweep of his arms this time; Sesshomaru dodged, almost losing an arm. They continued to fight, which ended up really being a waste of time. The poison claws did not damage the fire rat, and the Tessaiga was doing little damage with Sesshomaru wielding a sword himself.
Sesshomaru aimed another attack at Kagome and with lightening speed, Inuyasha jumped in the way, taking a whip to the back. The force made him tumble, but he suppressed no injury. Standing, he used the sword as a cane before he turned to check on Kagome. No harm had come to her and Inuyasha forced the priestess behind a rock. Inuyasha  lifted Tessiaga back up once more.
“So, think you are tough?” Sesshomaru knew his father had hidden away the swords because the daiyoukai wanted Tessaiga for himself for it holds the power of destruction. The other sword was a healing weapon; no damage would come from Tensaiga. Sesshomaru grew bored and gave up the fight.
He could not wield Tessaiga now that it had chosen a master, so Sesshomaru would have to devise a better plan. He would have a stronger sword made to demolish the weak human and take the Tessiaga by force.
“What is your name, boy?”
Inuyasha grinned. Wouldn’t you like to know that I am really your half-brother and we get along pretty decently in 500 years?
“What are you smiling about? I simply asked a question. I do not care, I'm just curious.”
“Ash.” He replied. “They call me Ash.”
Sesshomaru’s mouth formed a tight line. “I’ll be back for the sword and I will kill you next time. Today you were simply lucky.” He turned to Kagome. “I’ll probably kill you too miko, for firing a purified arrow at me.” With that he took off into the sky in a bright, white orb.
“That was the weirdest thing I have ever done.” Inuyasha admitted.
Kagome frowned. “Heartless and cold is he not?” Inuyasha could only nod his agreement.
“I didn’t realize what an actual cold-hearted bastard he was. You should meet him in my time. Ever since he had a kid of his own, he’s not so murderous.” He laughed slightly. “I can’t believe he really was this evil.” He murmured.
“I thought you said he was still cold hearted in your era?” Kagome asked softly.
“He is, but not near that heartless. I guess 500 years will finally get to you.” He shrugged.
“Maybe we should try and get you home.” She bowed her head and turned to walk down the mountain side. And if she was hiding the look of hurt in her eyes, well Inuyasha didn’t need to see.
He looked at her retreating form and sighed. He really didn’t want to leave her. Kagome was different from the girls in his time. Okay, so she was a priestess who guarded a powerful jewel that grants one immense power, and also had amazing archery skills. Not to mention she was the most gorgeous woman he had ever met. Maybe I was just born in the wrong era. Shaking his head, he jogged to catch up to her. “So, what do you plan on doing with the jewel?”
Kagome glanced at his handsome face, trying to hide the blush that crossed her features at the closeness of his body to hers. “I plan on keeping it away from every demon that comes after it. I guess I’ll have to take up demon extermination.” She laughed at her own clever joke.
“You’re a miko, not a demon slayer.” He corrected.
She slapped her palm to her forehead lightly. “Oh right! How stupid of me to forget such a simple detail.” Sarcasm just rolled off that sentence.
He cocked an eyebrow at her before crossing his arms. “Infuriating wench.” He growled. Kagome really had some nerve when she spoke to Inuyasha the way she did. The remainder of the walk to the well was a silent one. Inuyasha leaned over the side and looked down. It was a good drop, and he hoped that whatever it did to bring him here, would react the same way to take him home. “Well, this is my stop.”
Kagome sighed. “I guess so.” She looked up at him. “I don’t know what this feeling is or why I feel it, but I really think this was meant to happen.” She reached out to touch his cheek. “Thank you for helping me. Maybe you can come back to visit, if the well allows it.”
Hopeful eyes stared into his. “Yeah.” Inuyasha nodded. He felt some odd pull at his heart as he looked back towards the well. Before he could think about it, Inuyasha blurted, “Why not come with me?”
Wait, what?
Kagome’s eyes widened. “You—you want me to go with you?”
He shrugged. “Only if you want to. I mean not forever, but maybe for a visit.”
Kagome’s smile faded a little. Not forever. “Okay. That sounds fun. I wonder if the well will let me through. If it acts like a portal and connects you to me, then maybe I can get through.”
“It didn’t connect me to you. It connected me to the—“ He stopped. Kagome’s head was hung down and he could smell the faint scent of tears. Inuyasha swore under his breath. “I mean-”
Kagome shook her head. “I know what you meant, dog-boy. Shut up and let’s see what happens.” She stood next to him and began to climb over the well. A clawed hand stopped her.
“No. If you fall down there and the well doesn’t activate, you’ll break something.” He scooped her up bridal style. Kagome blushed prettily. “Now, lets see what happens.” Then he jumped.
They closed their eyes tight, but Kagome felt a pulse in her side. She peeked through her left eye to see what was happening. Kagome gasped. The two of them were engulfed in blue, but as soon as it began it ended. The well became dark and no sky could be seen, above them. “It worked.” Inuyasha leapt  from the well bottom and placed Kagome on her feet. “We better get out of here.” He grabbed her hand and tugged her along to exit the shrine grounds.
“Oh my—“ Kagome was in awe as they descended the shrine steps and the city came into view. “What is this place?”
“This is Tokyo, well, Modern day Tokyo five hundred years from where we were a moment ago.” Inuyasha explained. He tugged her hand to get her attention. “We’ll check it out later. Come on, we need to change clothes.” Looking back and forth from Kagome and himself, he sighed. Izayoi would not be pleased to know he was hopping between worlds. “Come on.”
---IK---
Toga slammed his fist onto the table. “Where the hell is he?!” He shouted.
“Calm down, father. We have searched every inch of Tokyo. He isn’t here.” Sesshomaru calmly stated as he sat across the table from Toga.
“He’s right dear.” Izayoi placed her hand on his fist as silent tears fell down her cheeks.
Toga sighed, wrapping his arms around his wife to calm her fears that their son wasn’t coming home. “I don’t understand. Ryou said he never saw Inuyasha that night, but I swear Inuyasha said he was hanging out with him.”
Sesshomaru stood. “He’ll come home. We just have to keep looking.”
“It’s been three days.” Izayoi cried. “What if he has been hurt?”
“He’s a half-demon. He’ll survive. Plus, I have been through every hospital and morgue I can think of. No sign of him or any reported accidents involving a teenager fitting Inuyasha’s description.” Sesshomaru walked towards the door. “I have to get home. I will keep in touch with any news I come across.”
Izayoi nodded. Looking up at her husband, she gasped. A single tear fell from his eye. “Dear.” He hugged her, hoping and praying that Inuyasha was indeed still alive.
---IK---
Kaede felt a chill run up her old spine as she picked herbs in her garden. “Nice of ye to drop by Kikyou.” The old woman struggled to stand, but soon came face to face with her older sister.
“Kaede. Where is the girl?”
“I don’t know.”
“Lies. I know you know where she is.” Kikyou inched closer. “I also know the jewel has finally shown itself.”
Kaede shook her head. “No one has actually seen the jewel, sister. It is but a rumor.”
“More lies. Tell me Kaede, how long do you plan to keep this from me?” the resurrected miko’s eyes were cold, void.
“Tell me Kikyou, how long had ye planned to betray our family and the Higurashi’s?” Kaede’s question slapped Kikyou and her eyes widened.
“How dare you speak to me like that.”
“Ye best leave Kikyo. There is noone or nothing here for ye. The girl is gone. She has been for three days. I honestly haven’t seen her.”
Kikyou stepped back and looked around. “The powerful aura I sensed is gone too. Who or what did it belong to?”
“Ye are losing touch. There hasn’t been any strong aura since Naraku.”
“Keep adding them up Kaede. Lies will smother you.” She looked back and sighed. “I shall take my leave for now, but trust me sister, I will be back and I will find Kagome.” Her soul collectors lifted her high into the air. “The jewel will be mine.” She promised before she was carried away.
“Ye will see about that.” Kaede whispered as she walked into her hut, basket of herbs in tow.

Murasaki Fujiwara Review
Name: Fujiwara no Murasaki/ Murasaki Fujiwara
Age: 23 26/27 in Shippuden
Gender: Female
Personality: Fairly calm, intellegent, relatively cheerful, can be a bit mopey/morose depending on the mood
Chakra: Sensor-type
Physical traits; Blue Grey eyes, medium skin (not super pale, about Jiraiya’s color), square-ish jaw, long brown hair generally pulled into a ponytail, blue-green eyes with red lines beneath them, fairly average build if not a bit on the athletic side
She wears either the hakama/sode-kukuri of a miko or a standard flak jacket uniform.
To start, me likey. I love when japanese myths and history are used as inspiration for characters! YES. Also she’s a super cutie and I LOVE THIS PHOTO. I love the concept of Jiraiya having bastard kids, as I have 2 OC’s who are in that role, and she fits the role perfectly appearance wise. She’s not a clone of Jiraiya but still bears resemblance. Realistic gene pool using. :D
-Murasaki was the result of a one night stand between Jiraiya and a b-list actress whose clan name was Fujiwara. The running joke is that Murasaki got more of her father’s looks (not a compliment). (She is still a cutie patootie. May I suggest that, running with your history things, that her mothers first name be Takako? :D Or something related that is.)
                - As a baby, Murasaki was dropped off at a Shinto shrine complex near Konoha (since the only thing her mother knew about Jiraiya was that he was a shinobi from Konoha). (Shinto shrines yes. Although, I would wonder why the mother didn’t bring her straight to Konoha and ask of the father’s whereabouts? Like a description and matching and whatnot? But hey, I still definitely see why she would be dropped off at a shrine. Lots of people drop unwanted babies off at places of religion.)
-Murasaki was taken in by the priest and his family, who were generally okay to Murasaki, but the births of their own children made Murasaki feel like an outsider. (Tiny bit cliche but hey it’s realistic.)
-While working as a miko at the shrine Murasaki met and befriended Obito (three years her elder), and developed a crush on him. (D’aw. How did they meet? Please tell me that the priest requested a D-rank mission for something and Minato’s team was sent out! :D)
-His stories made her fall in love with the idea of being a kunoichi (of course she didn’t see anything but the rosy outlook of what Obito told her). (Dang it, Obito. The naive idiot knucklehead ninja isn’t the best person to ask about being a ninja! Fudge nuggets.)
                - She became friends with Rin and an acquaintance of Kakashi’s (Kakashi developing a reluctant crush on her, but constantly belittling her/pushing her away emotionally). (Oooooooooooooooooo I want to know how Kakashi developed a crush on her? And ah yes, the old trope of “if a boy is being mean to you, that means he likes you” whatnot. Still realistic. Especially for Kakashi.)
-Murasaki was invited to go to the memorial ceremony for Obito, this is where Jiraiya met her and immediately started asking where her parents were etc. (Considering her facial markings, as I would think they would be prominent by then, would he assume she were an Inuzuka possibly? :D)
-A few weeks passed and Jiraiya came to remove Murasaki from the shrine and enroll her in the Ninja Academy. She went to class with Iruka and they became good friends. They used to harass Gai, and Murasaki became friends with him as well. (Iruka, you little devil. Also, I’d love to know more about how Jiraiya coped with the idea of having a bastard kid like Murasaki. She certainly didn’t inherit his personality, so he must be thrown for a loop whenever she opens her mouth.)
-She kept bumping into Kakashi and the interactions were extremely awkward and unpleasant, giving her the impression he hated her. (Mucho cliche but again, seeing as they are teenagers, it’s super expected because that’s just human nature. Although, I think the word “hate” would be far too dramatic for a girl like Murasaki to use in the situation. You say she is calm, collected, and pretty intelligent. I don’t see her as a girl who would be overly… feminine. Especially in the boys department.)
Murasaki’s career consisted of:
-Fighting against a small workers rebellion in the land of rice (under contract of daimyo). It was a complete blood bath. (Wowza. Me likey.)
-Worked as an assistant/bodyguard for the emissary to the Daimyo (she began writing her memoirs in the Daimyo’s court (she gets her name from Murasaki Shikibu)) (+1)
-Was captured on a mission by Orrochimaru, who took her dna, after which she was assaulted by one of his henchmen and was left very badly injured. (Why was Orochimaru interested in her DNA?)
-Achieved the rank of Chunnin by age 16, but did a ‘soft retirement’ at age 20 (became too much of an anxious, emotional wreck to feel she could do her job, dealing with severe PTSD) (Considering the rebellion in the land of rice that you mentioned beforehand, I would say PTSD would be expected. Although, considering the timeframe you are working with, how did the villagers and her friends react to a retirement? Shun her? Understand?)
-Had worked a little with the toads, earning her the moniker ‘The Priestess of Myoboku Mountain’. She mostly works with Shima, who is very maternal towards her.
-Has a major fight with Kakashi, in which he lets it slip that he has feelings for her, which doesn’t go over well. Murasaki tells him to get more or less bent, but realizes she’s angry because she likes him, too. (Super rom-com-esque. What were they fighting about? :/)
-Became an Aruki Miko/Spy for Konoha doing light peacekeeping work around the Land of Fire
-After the death of the 3rd Hokage, Jiraiya met up with her at a shrine (the one which Naruto yanked the bell down from in the anime) and filled her in. She agreed to return to the village at that point. (Aw. She was probably super sad about Hiruzen’s death. I’d only assume this was after the Tsunade Retrieval Arc as Murasaki coming back to Konoha sort of feels less important in the overall picture.)
-She tries to help with the seal Kakashi had put on Sasuke, but Orochimaru’s mark was too ‘infected’ at this point for her to do much. (Must purify the thing.)
-Sometime around the time Sasuke leaves, she and Kakashi begin healing their friendship/seeing each other. (Cute but how did that happen? I need details on how they reconciled!)
-between the first series and Shippuuden, they get married (Murasaki’s request, since I figure with her being strongly Shinto, she would probably want at least some ceremonial aspect to it). (MUCH RELIGIOUS BELIEF. Totally a plausible way to get around the whole “Kakashi isn’t the marriage type” idea. Thanks, religion!)
-Has a son with Kakashi (still need to name him (I thought about Genji, since I’m going with a 'Lady Murasaki’ theme). (FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY, YOU HAVE TO NAME THAT CHILD GENJI. DO IT. YOU HAVE TO.)
-Thinking about having her die during the great Shinobi war, but I’d also like to see Kakashi happy and not losing another person he cares about. If she does survive, I was going to maybe put her on the Konoha Council during Naruto’s reign as Hokage or make her the emissary to the Daimyo. I definitely want to have her carry on the tradition of writing like her father, and publishing her memoirs as a kunoichi (as a work of fiction, but it’s entirely true).
(Don’t do that to Kakashi. That’s just too tragic. It’s realistic sure but at what cost? I’d say go along with the emissary idea as she has history WITH the emissary *being a bodyguard and whatnot.* And yes, she must write books. Not smut, but fiction please. Although, it would be super cute of her to be able to write a conclusion to the Icha Icha series just for Jiraiya’s fans (and Kakashi) closure. I can totally see Murasaki saying “I don’t know how he wrote such…. SMUT. without a care in the world.” And Kakashi comes in saying “Let’s do some research together.”)
Well. Murasaki is definitely a likable character with a thought out story. But, there are several things missing that I’d love to see more info on.
For instance, not once did you mention the main character of the series, and his relationship to Murasaki. Where’s the love for Naruto? He is Jiraiya’s godson, so he is technically Murasaki’s god-brother.
Also, the most obvious question I have…. WHAT ABOUT JIRAIYA’S DEATH ? HOW DID IT AFFECT HER? HECK.
also ye I’d love to know her reaction to Kakashi “dying” during Pein’s invasion.
pls.
Overall, I love Murasaki. And I really want to read her story. SO GET TO IT.
Love, Dom.
