The gang reacting to reader breaking up with them

DARRY doesn't really know what to do when you break the news to him that you're dumping him. He stands there shocked for a few seconds to gather his emotions before even attempting to ask. "Why? Did I do something?" He says, his chin shaking a little but you can visibly see him pushing back the tears. "I just can't deal with this anymore," you say. "All I'm trying to do is help you provide for your family and you can't even stop for ten minutes to say thank you and spend a little time with me. Ten minutes. that's all I'm asking for." You can see the guilt written all over his face. You knew he wasn't going to change - you had this discussion many times before and every time it ended the same: him saying he'll change and that he's sorry you feel that way, and then never doing anything about it and going back to work the next day as if what you had talked about meant nothing. He just nodded and let a singular tear roll down his cheek as he opened his front door for you and watched you walk down the street with your bags and out of his life forever.

SODAPOP would completely fall apart if you dumped him. He would come home from work with a huge grin plastered on his face, ready to give you a cuddle and a kiss but it soon dropped when he saw you. Standing there with a bag on the table, waiting for him. There was nobody else home, it was supposed to be a day dedicated to the two of you. "Babe, what's going on?" He asks. "Are we going on a road trip or something? because if we are, give me five minutes for a shower and I'll-" "Soda," you say, cutting him off. You saw his head hang to the floor, his eyes darted at the floor. He knew what was happening. he just didn't want to admit it. "I'm sorry," you say. "Why?" He asks, hot tears streaming down his face as he looks up to meet your eyes, his stare hurting your heart. "What did I do? I'll fix it I promise. I promise I'll fix whatever you think went wrong." You sighed, your breath shaking from the water gathering in your eyes. "There's nothing left to fix, sodapop. It's already shattered." And with that, you pick up your bag, grab his hand and give it a small squeeze, your last touch of Sodapop Curtis, before walking out and not looking back once.

PONYBOY would be a mix between Darry and Soda. He wouldn't know what to do considering you were his first-ever girlfriend and he would also be heartbroken beyond belief. You would be a little mean about the breakup, not to hurt his feelings, but to make sure he never came back into your life. To make sure he thought you were gone for good and there was nothing he could do to change your mind. "Ponyboy," you say, sitting up from being laid on his bed. "There's something I gotta talk to you about." Convern layers through his eyes. "Yeah, sure. What's wrong?" You sigh. "Before I say anything, I just want you to know that you are such a sweet guy and I will always appreciate you for everything you've done for me and all the sunsets you've shown me." "Y/n," he begins, his voice much quieter now. "What are you doing?" "I'm sorry, Pony," you say, wiping a tear from your cheek and standing up. "I can't be with you any more." "What?" He asks, his voice cracking. He stays seated and just looks up at you in disbelief, not wanting to accept what you're saying. "You're just too immature. I know we're only kids and that's what young boys do but I need someone who isn't gonna spend their life goofing around and starting fights with random people. I don't want to be with someone who has nothing lying ahead for them. Don't get me wrong, I think you're real sweet 'n all but it's just not good enough for me to stay. I'm sorry." Tears were falling down his cheeks, somewhat gracefully, leaving a hot pink trail behind. He says nothing as he watches you leave his room, say goodbye to the gang as if you hadn't just shattered his heart, and walk out.

DALLAS would pretend to be unfazed. Especially if you hadn't been dating for that long. It would be short and snappy. "I'm breaking up with you." "Okay." You're not gonna ask me why?" "Nah." - However, if the two of you had been together for over a year, I'd say; he would be destroyed. You were the only thing he loved, apart from Johnny. You were the only person he had ever said those three words to you. You were his first everything, and now he had lost you. It was all his fault. "Can I do anything to make you stay?" He asks, his cheeks a lot redder than usual and his eyebrows furrowed, a giveaway that he is upset. "No," you say, as coldly as you can, wanting to get away and cry for a few days. "So that's it then?" He says. "I tell you that I love you and this is how you repay me? I give you everything I have, knowing what it could do to my reputation, and this is what I get?" He scoffs. "So much for love, huh?" He would be the one to walk away from you, not having the power to throw an insult, just letting his heart slowly split in two as he feels his soul separate. He had not only lost you, but he had lost a part of himself, too.

JOHNNY was used to being left, uncared for, abandoned, and mistreated. But he never expected it from you, the one person he thought loved him. He would cry just like he did in the lot when he and Pony had that talk (Yk what I'm talking about). "Johnny," you say. "I'm sorry." "What for?" He asks, confusion written all over his face. You sigh and lift up a bag of all of the things he had given or made you during your relationship. Cards, love letters, teddies, jackets, bracelets. Everything. "I- I don't understand," he says, his eyes welling up with tears. "It's not your fault, Johnny. It's me." You say, the words breaking your heart. "I just can't do it anymore. It's too much for me. I'm sorry." "But-" "Don't." You say. "If you say anything, I'll end up running back to you and apologising. I don't want to do this, Johnny. But it's what's best."

TWO-BIT definitely thinks you're joking at first, and thinks that you're playing some sick prank on him. "Haha, very funny, sweetheart," he says. "But seriously, what did you want to say." He swings an arm over your shoulders, causing you to push him away and glare at him. "I'm not messin'" you say, watching his face drop. "Huh?" Two-bit says. "I don't understand. Why are you doin' this?" "I have to. I'm not happy, Kieth. I'm sure you'd rather be happy in the future without me than be depressed knowing that your girlfriend doesn't love you like she used to." A tear slips from his eye. "You don't love me anymore?" You shake your head, tears flowing down your face, painting the skin red. "No. I don't."

STEVE would be like Dally. He'd pretend to be so unbothered and then as soon as you leave, he'd gradually break down throughout a couple of days until he can't fight his emotions for much longer. He and Soda would sit and get so drunk to try and distract Steve from whatever was going on, Darry would constantly be checking in on him, and Dallas would be so beyond pissed at you for hurting him, you'd think there was a manhunt out for you. "Honey," Steve says. "Is everything alright? You seem a little off lately. Is it something I did?" You and Steve had been arguing a lot lately, and it was tiring the both of you out. It was either going to end now or end badly, no in-between. "I think we should break up. Not take a break - break up." You said, straight to the point. His face said all that his words didn't. His eyes pleaded for your forgiveness, the softness of his pupils melting into yours, his brown orbs absorbing you into his atmosphere like you were there for him and him only. You had to escape now before you were trapped forever. "Okay." He shrugs and leaves you there, in the middle of the street. Confused and alone. Just like you had left him.

Darry

He would go on living for the most part, not because he doesn’t care about the fact that you’re gone, but he just can’t afford to shut down. if he does, he risks losing Soda and Pony too.

He’d bring flowers to your grave once a week, on Wednesdays (don’t ask why i just decided this). Your favourite flowers. When the first bunch he put down dies, he gets someone he knows, (maybe Ponyboy, i feel like he’d dig arts and crafts) to either press the flowers or dry them so he always has them, even if they bring back painful memories.

To add to the whole getting flowers thing, he’d always take one out of each bunch, just like he did before your death to make sure that he replaces them as soon as they wilt.

He most likely got the call about your passing and had to tell the guys. He tried to stay calm while telling them but he broke down before he could finish.

Ponyboy

This hurts just to think about! He, unlike Darry would shut down completely. He’d be failing class, wouldn’t get out of bed and would hardly eat. If we count it as after Johnny and Dally die, that would be 3 people he cared about that died (other than his parents)

If you two watched the sunset together often i feel like he’d never watch it again. it would be too painful for him.

Whenever he gets into an argument with Darry he runs out of the house and straight to your grave. He’d sit there and vent to you and eventually fall asleep there. the guys probably put a bench by your grave so he’d sleep there.

I think that after he was functional again, he’d get very cold and bitter, kinda like Dally. He’d get into fights all the time and would start acting out. He just doesn’t know how to cope with you gone..

Sodapop

Sodapop would go to your grave everyday after work and just talk to you about his day. he would fill you in on everything going on with the guys, any rumbles or fights with socs, stuff like that.

I honestly think that if Soda was serious about your relationship he would have given you a promise ring. I think that even after you were gone he would keep wearing it and maybe even put yours on a chain and wear that under his t-shirt, right next to his heart.

If it was a violent death? He would completely stop fighting, he would only see it as a constant reminder of what happened to you, he would realise that it really didn’t do any good.

He wouldn’t fully shut down but i think he would stop hanging out with the guys so much and would get very quiet. He wouldn’t be his laughing, wild self anymore. He knows that isn’t what you would’ve wanted but how could he keep on joking when you were gone? how could he ignore it?

Dally

Dally would go on hating and fighting more than he ever did. The world took so much from him and now it took you too? Why should he care about anyone or anything if you weren’t there anymore.

He’d spend a lot of time at your grave. No talking, he’d just sit there and smoke a cigarette. Sometimes he’d silently cry, but he hates crying out in the open.

Dally would blame himself. It doesn’t matter how you passed away, he would look at every detail of the days leading up to your death and see if there was any moment where he could’ve done something to stop it. if it was a violent death, could he have stopped you from getting into that situation in the first place? if it was an accident, could he have stopped it from happening, could he have made it so that it was him instead?

Steve

Steve would be kind of like Dally. He’d hate and fight more than ever. How could the world be so cruel that he’d take you from him?

I feel like it could be his first proper experience with loss, which is different to the others that i’ve written about so far. He really wouldn’t know how to cope. he’d try to go on living, then he would shut down for a while, then he would probably just have to get out of town for a while.

I honestly think he’d do something drastic. Rob a gas station or snap and start a fight with his dad or something. He would get very reckless too. where he would be careful when competing in drag races, now he would speed up if anything.

He is so afraid of forgetting your face. He keeps a picture of you in his jacket pocket to make sure he doesn’t forget but he realises he’s starting to forget the smaller things like how you’d make this particular face when you’re being sarcastic, and how your face would light up when someone mentioned your favourite things.

Two-Bit

Two would start drinking even more, you were lucky to see him sober. He’d stop hanging out with the guys.

He would be angry for a while. Angry that you left him here alone. Of course he knows deep down that it’s not your fault but he can’t help it. Two probably went to your grave one day, drunker than ever. He started giving out that you left him and ended up throwing his bottle of beer at your headstone. That snapped him out of it. He picked everything up and cleaned the headstone best he could.

After the angry phase is gone he would start to write you letters filling you in on everything. He couldn’t bring himself to go to your gave so he just pretended you had moved far away. He puts them in a big box under his bed. He considered burning them, but he couldn’t bring himself to do it

He sometimes forgets you’re not there though. Say if he’s doing something he might yell “Y/N could you pass me the ___” then remember you’re not there and just sits down and cries, even a few years after.

Johnny

Johnny really can’t deal with it. With his parents being so bad and you being his main support, he couldn’t take it anymore.

I honestly think that he would run away, let everyone forget him. Sometimes he would consider the ways to see you again, but luckily someone always snaps him out of it.

He hangs out with the guys more than ever, it keeps him from shutting down completely. they become his main support, but he’s even more quiet, he sits a little outside of the group when in the curtis’ house.

After a few months of grieving he remembers a list you guys wrote about all your hopes and dreams. So he decides that he’s going to complete everything on it. He lives for the two of you.

Okay this is like the third one I've sent in cause I just keep asking stuff because I discover more things you require for your asks and I'm not trying to make your life any harder than it probably is with all these request.

Anyway, I usually hate the "outsiders X YN" propaganda but I was super curious soo

I'm a female. I'm 5'6 with curly brown hair, I'm Caucasian, I have hazel eyes.

I prefer to go unlabeled. I like girls and guys. Doesn't matter to me.

I'm an infp-t, I have OCD, I'm super sarcastic all the time even when. I don't intend to be. People assume I'm mean whenever they meet me but usually that changes over time. My love language(Offering love) is acts of service but I don't care about what type I receive. I speak in a very monotone fashion sometimes which again leads people to believe I may be mean or negative but I'm very extroverted. I'm opinionative and sociable. I'd like to think I'm pretty good at holding a conversation because I love learning about other people's views and taking their comments into consideration. I also try to give people really in-depth and earnest compliments because I don't think anyone gets enough of those. I also love to give gifts and to give advice. I love having really long, genuine conversations. I love literature and writing and collecting poems and quotes. I love exploring new music genres. I'm pretty spontaneous, and spontaneity is something I value a lot in a partner.

I also value humor a lot. I'm an avoidant person but I go out of my way to show or tell people I care when I can. I, again, love writing. I love writing stories, ideas, concepts. It's all fun to me. Im a middle child. I also cook a lot and care a lot for people around me. Im also fairly empathetic sometimes, even when I don't need to be. It's hard for me to ask what I want. I'm also like disgustingly self-aware. Like I mean I just know when my actions are weird or embarrassing. I know the possible outcomes of things before I do them. Idk. I can see myself from a clear outside perspective. Im also really reflective of body language/words/actions and stuff. It's easy for me to pick up and read someone. Chronic over-thinker as well. I also have the teeniest but of social anxiety(but I'm comfortable with speaking on a stage and stuff?? Idk it's complicated.)

I’m so sorry first lol for making you repeat so many times. I just prefer to have as much information as possible to give you the most accurate answer and also some people didn’t include their sexualities the first time and then I messed up because I paired them with a person they weren’t interested in and then they I had to redo their entire ask because you know they were like oh I’m gay could you not be shipping me with a girl and I was like well you didn’t put that in your request so I have no idea. Explanation: starting off with looks, I think that he would be extremely attracted to you. I think that he personally finds brown eyes and hair to be absolutely stunning and just loves the way that they remind him of the hot cocoa constantly consumes in the morning when Darry has his coffee and Ponyboy has tea. You’re shorter than him, but not too short and I think that he appreciates that because it means that you don’t have to reach up on your tippy toes to kiss him, but you can also just you know he’s you’re still short enough for him to tease you about it a lot which he definitely would. I think you guys kind of have an opposite attract thing going on like I think one of the things that really stood out about you was your sarcastic personality to him and I think he really appreciated it and your brutal honesty was really different from other girls he’d interacted with, and I just think that he would be extremely attracted to that. he had a really hard time using his charm on you. I think he’s one of the few people that sees past the oh you’re probably a mean person type of thing because I feel like he’s is a very big believer in you know second chances you don’t know that person that well they could be going through something type of ideology and I think as the people pleaser he is, he would definitely give you multiple chances and I mean, even if Steve was kind of like dude she seems kind of mean sodapop would instantly be at your side defending you. seriously he has golden retriever energy, and you have black cat energy all the way and I just think you’re dynamic would be pretty cute together. I feel like he would help you out a little bit with your social skills too and help you to be a little bit more friendly to people if you ever had an issue with that he would also always defend you with people didn’t get you the way that you talked or you know things like that. I think you could also balance him out with your opinionated Ness because I feel like a lot of his life. Sodapop is always felt kind of pressure to fit in with everyone else and go with their opinions because I headcanon personally that he’s a chronic people pleaser and really wants to just make people happy and I feel like you’re argumentative personality would definitely clash with that in such an interesting and good way. I just think you guys would fundamentally help each other and, be a good pairing because you would always be working on improving each other and not only through social skills either. Soda pop doesn’t get poetry that much but I feel like he would absolutely support you or if you ever found something that seemed kind of poetic he would definitely give it to you and he would absolutely melt if you gave him an in-depth complement or did something really nice for him because you also mentioned active service was another one of your love languages I think he would just melt. He’s the middle sibling so he’s used to being ignored and whenever you have your full attention on him he just feels like he’s floating. He feels like you’re one of the few people who see beyond the “ hot Curtis sibling” and see him as a person because he is. he’s also incredibly spontaneous so you’re in luck for that aspect of your relationship. I think he is probably one of the most if not the most spontaneous out of the greasers and just I think he’s willing to do random things because I mean, I don’t know. I just think he kind of enjoys the chaos plus he’s a pretty like chaotic a great partner to have I think like not chaotic bad but more chaotic like I enjoy making life interesting type of thing. I also feel like he would love the fact that you write because it reminds him a lot of pony boy and I think he would definitely just love it and stand next to you while you write and ask 1 million questions and end up kind of annoying you, but it would be cute.

Also, also, I feel like you guys would totally bond over being the middle sibling because I mean no one can really no one really gets the experience unless they’ve actually been in the situation of being the middle child and I feel like once he finds out that you’ve been a middle sibling before he can’t wait to talk about all the relatable shit with you and I just yeah, I feel like that would be one of your main bonding subjects that you guys first realize you had something in common. Also, he is also someone who values humor a lot and I feel like you guys would have a super fun time making jokes together and just laughing and enjoying life in general he’s a person that is literally described as not needing alcohol or cigarettes or anything like that to enjoy life, he just takes it by the hands and really knows how to live and I feel like that’s something that you really really need to have a good sense of humor besides being able to laugh at yourself and he absolutely has that. Also good luck with this man in the kitchen because it is just going to end up in a flower fight and you will not get any cooking whatsoever and if you do, it’s gonna be something weird as shit because he snuck food coloring into the dough or something like that. He really loves yourself awareness because he’s often had partners who aren’t so self-aware and are kind of oblivious to what their actions do and don’t know a lot about themselves and why they act certain ways so he really values that in a partner and I feel like that’s something you could fulfill and you could help him be more self-aware too, so he’s definitely glad that’s a trait you have. Also for your anxiety I feel like he can help a lot with that. He’s kind of a more carefree guy. I don’t feel like he has anxiety too bad and he has a pretty good coping system, but I feel like he would be excellent at you know spotting whenever you’re having a panic attack helping you get over a panic attack helping you remember to meditate for 10 minutes daily things like that I feel like he would be a super helpful person to be dating if you have extreme anxiety or if you’re an overthinking person. YOU’VE COME TO realize that there’s something special about sunsets. maybe it’s just how under the glow of the fading sun washing the sky in hues of pink and orange, everything (even the not-so-perfect) seems phenomenal.

walking along the sidewalk, hand in hand with your boyfriend, in high spirits, you’re brought to an abrupt stop when he smiles at you, “dance with me.”

“soda, it’s raining,” you protested. the two of you had been coming back from a date at a diner, when you felt the first drops of the pouring rain. the late afternoon sun, reflecting the unbearable heat of tulsa had begun to set, foreshadowing the cooler nights to come. however, it had disappeared in an instant, filling the sky with ominous shadows and thunderclouds.

he pouted at you, holding out a hand to you, reminiscent of aladdin asking jasmine for a chance, a blithe disregard of the steadily worsening weather and the sudden dampness of your clothes, “aw, c’mon, beautiful, dance with me.”

you laughed at his pout, ignoring the term of endearment sending your heart racing, reaching out to take his hand, “fine, but only cause you wanna dance so bad.”

he spun you close to him, catching you by surprise. at the sight of his breathtaking grin, you can’t help but mirror his expression as you wondered where he had learned to dance like that.

jocularly, he offered you his movie star smile, “you love me, really.”

maybe it was the look in his eyes when he said it or the innocently charming smile he offered you, but you softened, “yeah, i do.”

his eyes widened slightly in shock as his expression softened and he gazed at you as if you were the only thing that mattered to him in the world. his grasp on your hips tightened just the slightest bit, gone unnoticed by him, as he languidly spun you away and back to him.

up until this moment, you had never outright admitted you loved him. however, he had made it clear from the start that he was absolutely enamored with you. you could tell by the subtle affection he couldn’t hold himself back from showing—whether it was his arm haphazardly thrown around your shoulders as you sat on the couch, or his head in your lap as you watched tv, or even the casual arm around your waist as you walked around town. or maybe, it was the hugs he gave you when you came to visit him at the dx, the soft kisses he pressed to your cheeks when you talked, or the frequent adoring gazes when he thought you weren’t paying attention that he tried to hide futilely. whatever it was, sodapop curtis was completely besotted with you as you were with him.

Always the gentleman Dar would make sure you feel like the most important person in the world on your birthday.

Breakfast. In. Bed. Darry will make you the most extravagant breakfast with all your favourite foods and deliver it to you as soon as you wake up.

He’ll take the day off work (which is really rare for him!) just so the two of you can have fun and spend time together.

If he was planning a party he would let you know, just so you could tell him whether you wanted one or not

Ponyboy

He would be so cute omg-

He’d slip you a piece of paper during class telling you to meet him either in an empty classroom or under the bleachers at lunch that day. when you get there he will have made you a card and bought you a single cupcake. unless you go with my other hcs, in that case he would have gotten johnny to make cupcakes for you.

I don’t think that Pony would want to throw you a party. i think he would be more for hanging out in the vacant lot all night.

Soda is just a tiny bit cruel so he’d probably pretend that he forgot your birthday as a joke.

You would go down to visit him in the DX and he’d be there like “i know i’m forgettin’ somethin’ bit i dunno what. is it Stevo’s birthday?”

He’d do this until you either got really upset or told him it was your birthday.

Once he revealed he didn’t forget he’d have a party planned for you and by god it would be a good party. He’d have your favourite foods, he would have rented out bucks and paid Tim Shepard or someone to act as a bouncer so nobody you didn’t like could get in.

This boy- he wouldn’t be able to keep his hands off you all night. Kissing, holding your hand, hugging you from behind, simply having his hand around your waist/shoulders? he doesn’t care as long as you’re with him.

Dally

Dally wouldn’t be one to treat you special on your birthday. he’d go on like normal. it’s just how he is 🤷‍♂️

I think he’d say something like “it’s your birthday today, ain’t it?” and when you said yeah he’d just say something like “thought so” and walk away.

If he gets you a gift? i wouldn’t bet that it was acquired legally. but he still cares. he would most likely get you a new blade or something like that.

Even though on the day he wouldn’t be very attentive that night he’d get buck to close the bar early so you two could have some alone time. Your birthday to Two is just the perfect time for pranks, he doesn’t really know why, it just is. he would switch your orange juice for milk that he put orange food dye into, hide random things in your room, the basic pranks yk? maybe switch the fruit in your fruit bowl for that wax fruit.

He would be planning a surprise party in the Curtis’ place for like- a month before your birthday. it would be the best party ever. he’d even watch his drinking so you could have fun without having to babysit Two.

Exact same as soda, he wouldn’t be able to keep his hands off you. though he’d probably be a little less wholesome, kinda like Dal.

He’d make some drunken toast at the party about how hot you are and how lucky he is to have you. he’s cringy like that plus he’s pissed drunk when he gives the roast so it’s not his fault

Steve

Steve doesn’t get as much appreciation as he should, he’s adorable! he wouldn’t be a gentleman like Darry but he wouldn’t be ignoring the fact it was your birthday like Dal. He would probably make some agreement that if you could win a challenge that on your birthday he couldn’t say no to you (with limits ofc. you couldn’t tell him to jump into freezing water cause you dropped a sandwich into it or you couldn’t tell him to kill someone yk? limits.) he’d probably let you win though tbh

So you’ve won this bet. now what? he’s your personal butler for the day! want coffee? ask Steve! need a hug? ask Steve! He would be at your beckon call at all times (that’s the saying right?)

He’d also plan you a party, just not a surprise party. He would have it in the lot since it has the most space so nobody will be cramped together.

Johnny

He would make you a present rather than buy one since he doesn’t have much money. i think that’s cuter and more thoughtful than anything else tbh.

He would want to hang out together all day. maybe you two would go to the drive in that night?

Dar’s strong too so the first thing that came into my mind was competitions to see who was the strongest. like- a big wooden board, then you have Pony and Soda sit on it, whoever struggles the least is the winner

If you beat him in an arm wrestle or one of those strength tests? i hate to break it to ya, but it’s gonna upset him a little bit, he likes to prove how strong he is and likes being the strong one

On the other hand, you two would be unstoppable in a rumble. you’d take on the biggest guys there and let’s be honest you’d probably have some combo move or something.

He gets you to help move furniture all the time, i dunno why, he just does.

Ponyboy

Let’s be honest, the guys weak as fuck. it doesn’t take much to be stronger than him.

He loves it if you give him a piggyback or something, why walk when you have a helpful S/O to carry you everywhere? it makes him feel important.

He asks you to carry stuff for him. He’d probably start whining that his arms are tired or something. He does it for a joke but if it actually upsets you he’d cut it out.

He asks you to help him build up some muscle, given his tactic in rumbles is to just jump on someone’s shoulders and pull their hair while someone else does the actual punching/kicking

Sodapop

He is forever in awe of your strength, he asks you on the regular to help him get a bit stronger but gives up after about 10 minutes because he’s tired

if you picked him up? this boy would be on top of the world. Bonus points if you’re tall too. he’d probably stand on your shoulders or something and literally shout “I’m on top of the world! Bow down to me!”

If he needs to carry a bag of coal or a sack of potatoes in or out of the DX you’re the first person he calls, then he’d call you his hero and pretend to faint into your arms while saying how tiring it was to carry the stuff himself.

He will try to pick you up or beat you in strength in some way, but he’s just not strong enough :(

Dallas

Honestly? I think it would intimidate him if his S/O was stronger than him. he’s the strong one, there’s no room for another strong person

If you picked him up he’d throw a hissy fit like a toddler, he’d probably secretly enjoy it, but he’d never admit it.

Rumbles are amazing with you two. You beat the guy up a little and then pass him off to Dally to finish the job. it just helps his ego alright?

The one advantage to having a strong S/O in his eyes? if he’s in a fight and he’s having a bit of trouble you can give him a hand, maybe sometimes even scare off the other guy become a punch is even thrown.

Steve

He challenges you to at least two arm wrestles a day, he’s pretty strong so he does put up a fight. in the end you always win though.

You two also have combo moves reserved for rumbles, you’re both fighting your own guys then you swap or something since you’re bored of beating the shit out of the one guy.

He’d never ask you too, it’d hurt his ego to ask. but if you offered to help out with stuff in the DX? just simple things like carrying tyres around or something like that, he’d fall even more in love with you <3

You two work out together every morning and help to keep each other motivated when you really don’t want to keep going.

Two-Bit

I honestly think that Two is pretty strong but i also think he’d pretend to be weak just because he loves the attention it gets him 🤷‍♂️

You’re his bodyguard. if you’re together when you meet a new hood somewhere and he feels intimidated, he’ll just say something like “Oh yeah? Well i got a secret weapon!” and push you out in front of him.

He loves your hugs. Big bear hugs that if you squeezed him for much longer than you do he thinks he’d probably suffocate. Something about them are just so comforting for him.

Same thing as Pony, he loves when you pick him up, makes him feel special.

Johnny

I’m gonna be honest i’m a bit stumped when it comes to johnny? I think he’d basically be like ponyboy?

He might ask you to help him move old car seats into the vacant lot to make it a bit more comfy from time to time.

If you pick him up he’d just be kinda like “ok this is my life now” yk? he wouldn’t really pass any remarks on it.

You all be hanging out with greasers and stuff but when I date one, it’s a total headache for you all! That ain’t fair!” You argued with your oldest brother.

On the fourth day, Dallas did something bad. He shoplifted. A beautiful necklace just for you. You loved it and thought it was the most stunning jewelry ever but you knew Darry would instantly make you break up if he saw it.

So you hid it. In your bra drawer. And it was successful! Darry never found out about it. So Dally kept shoplifting and bring your more beautiful jewelry. And you’d give him the sweetest kiss ever as a thank you to him.

Fortunately, the gang never saw him do this but if they did, they kept quiet about it.

But then on the fifth, almost close to the end of the week, Pony told on you again. You got upset and you kept asking why he would do this to his sweet older sister.

He told you it was because he wanted you to be safe and not get into trouble because you’re his sister and you’re the best thing ever(even though you were mad at him, his reason was cute enough to cool down your anger). He told Soda, who told Darry, who told you to come to the living room, with Dallas.

“Shoplifting jewelry? Then puttin’ it on her? She could go to jail for Christ’s sake Dally! And she’s a good girl.” Darry scolds Dallas.

“Darry, please, he was just tryna show me he’s a good boyfriend! Darry, please, pretty please, let me stay with him! I…I love him!” You pleaded, clasping your hands together in a beggar way.

Darry looked at you then looked away. He knew what you were doing. You we’re using the puppy dog eyes on him. He hated the fact you could get whatever your heart desired. And it desired Dallas.

He sighed, upset as he pinched the bridge of his nose. “Y/N…” He began. “Yes!” You perked up, looking up at him. “If I let you continue to date Dallas, do you promise me you won’t get in trouble with the police, you won’t get pregnant, you won’t do anything dangerous that could possibly kill you or somebody else?”

You nodded eagerly. “Yes, yes, yes! I promise! Oh, thank you Darry!” You smiled and hugged him tightly. He sighed and smiled, hugging you back and patting your head.

Dallas just grinned at the scene and started to leave before you turned to him. “Wait Dally! I’ll be with ya in a second.” You said, letting go of your brother and putting back your sneakers on.

“Don’t teach her how to do anything illegal Dally!” He yelled out after the both of you.

“Too late Darry!” Dallas laughed and so did you.

That’s when you saw Darry come out of the house with his shoes on. He was coming after the both of you. Well more specifically, Dally.

One night, while you were reading since you couldn’t sleep, Dallas came inside, into your room by opening the window and climbing in. Well, more like stumbling in.

You giggled as you watched him get in but stumble after. “Hey doll face,” Dallas grinned, which you replied with a kiss to his cheek. You sat back on your bed and he sat next you, wrapping his arm around ya.

“So, where are we going tonight Dally?” You asked him, holding his hand. “Nowhere, just for a drive.” He said. “But you don’t have a car- Dallas. Did you steal and Hotwire a fucking car?” You said, a bit shocked. “Just for you. It’s even your favorite color Sweets!” Dallas smiled proudly for memorizing his girlfriend’s favorite color.

You thought it was kind of cute. “Alright Dally. Cmon, let’s go through the front, nobody’s up anyway.” You smiled. You got up, put your sneakers on and left your room, walking to the front door with Dallas following behind. You kept shushing him and laughing as quietly as the both of you could. But what you didn’t know, was that you had woken somebody up.

Ponyboy couldn’t stand the laughing of you, he thought it was too late for you to be up until he heard another laugh. A male laugh.

Ponyboy quietly took Soda off of him and got up from his bed. He crept the door open and saw both you and Dallas, shoving and pushing eachother while laughing.

He thought it was a both weird that he was here.

That was, until, he saw you give Dallas a kiss on the lips. And he saw Dallas kiss you back.

Pony put two and two together to figure out that you and Dallas must’ve be dating. So Pony crept back into silently.

He isn’t great at the whole “comfort” stuff since he’s one of those guys that forgot how to cry at a young age. He more so tries to ignore it and just keep things lighthearted

I HC (and think it’s somewhat canon) that his dad is abusive so he can understand what you’re going through more than the others. He probably knows all the tricks to patch up wounds or at least help them heal.

He will teach you self defence 100% so you can protect yourself. if you’re a greaser you most likely can protect yourself already but he just wants to make sure you can.

Johnny

Same as Steve, his parents are abusive so he can really understand what you’re going through.

He doesn’t really have a home to let you stay at but he will be happy to let you stay in the lot with him. (he’ll also introduce you to all the local stray cats and dogs)
