Social media fights

Right here I am with my first real subject, social media fights. Everyone knows them, the social media fights, whether it's between different politic followers or between two fandoms there's always a lot of insulting and fighting. Today I've seen a fight like that in my own fandom although I thought we were a proper and sweet fandom, we turned out to be not really. I don't understand why you would do something like that, I mean I do understand the thing of saying your own opinion on something etc. but does there really have to be insults too the people who doesn't share that opinion? I'm not saying that everyone does that but the few who does that might actually hurt someone they don't even know just for a different opinion. People do die for that things online so here is my plead, can we not all stop this insulting and use social media for what it's made, share your opinion in style and make new friends.
