Aaron getting into medical school and leaving exy behind at Palmetto. He makes some friends, of course, and he doesn’t feel the need to mention to any of them that he’s family friends with multiple professional exy players, including the son of exy himself Kevin Day. He’s moved on from exy and while he’s proud of the Foxes he doesn’t want to be known for it while starting this new adventure.
But obviously he’s not gonna cut ties with the Foxes, so he continues to text them and call them and he’ll be included in some of their social media posts and occasionally he’ll post something with them in it. And his new classmates and friends start to catch on that he’s the Aaron Minyard, former starting backliner for the Palmetto State Foxes NCAA champions, brother of one of the best goalkeepers in the league and close friend of many other professional players.
And Aaron absolutely dreads it when they connect all the dots. Like he refuses to acknowledge that he knows them. People will ask him like “omg do you really know the Kevin Day?” or “is all that stuff about Neil Josten true?” or “are you actually Andrew Minyards twin?” and he’ll just deadpan stare at them and just go “who?” Even worse when someone tries to treat him like a celebrity or ask him about his time as a Fox and he just gives them the most disgusted stare until they eventually walk away.
Yet he’ll keep posting with them he even increases how much he posts with them because he proud of them because he thinks it’s hilarious to watch people get pissed off at him for pretending not to know who they are and then turning around and posting a picture of himself at their games or on their annual vacations.
And when Kevin signs with the team that’s located in the same city that Aaron’s in they start hanging out all the time. They’ll go out to a bar and his classmates are shocked that this kid from their anatomy class is taking shots with Kevin Day. Aaron will just ask them “who” when they confront him and immediately turn back to Kevin to continue their conversation.
Idk just something about Aaron being this random med school kid with 3 of the best professional Exy players trailing him is my favorite thing. Also him being proud of his foxes and showing it in his own asshole way

Putting the her in football'her' (arsenal x reader)
Summary- yn is the new it girl of arsenal, and your following over shadows your playing ability. So some of the players doubt your playing skill, so you just have to prove it.
The news of your transfer to Arsenal had sent the media wild. You were a young and upcoming football with a large social following, which you gained from your time in spain.
Your rise to fame was certainly interesting at 20 years old and playing for real Madrid. Your following should not have been over 1 million, but it was. The reason you blew up one night on social media was due to an interview you had done after giving a young fan your shirt and a fan had decided to make an edit of you which went viral.
Since then, the edits began pouring in, and so did the followers, which had started to create a name around you and drew the attention for bigger clubs to look for a move. Your Instagram was the most popular of your social massing, with over 1.5 million followers. Whether or not they were there because they were a fan of football was a different question. This mass of support around you made you a high target as you would bring media to the games and increased viewership which is what the team want.
So Arsenal had no issue paying the 350k transfer fee that real madrid had set for you. The move had been a sceptical one, not for the fans they were estatic with the move but more among the team and the players. The idea that the club had paid all this money for you as a social media stunt didn't sit right with them, so they took to the two people who would have played against you the barca girls.
"So mario, what do you think about y/n? im sure you've played with her a few times?" Beth started asking with the crowd of the other girls around "she's a good player but i have only played her a few times so i don't know if she's consistently good" mariona responded truthfully because from the few times when you'd marked her in the el classico you had been rather good for a 20 year old and made quite a few key challenges.
This should have stopped the controversy among the team, but it didn't , or it wasn't until you were going to prove yourself. It was the day of your first training with the girls, and you couldn't help but feel nervous as while your english was good, it definitely wasn't fluent. You were waiting in the boot room to meet the other girls, but first, you were met with the other two spainards on the team who would hopefully make your transfer easier.
Many of the girls had created a preconceived idea of you and thought that you would be cocky and see yourself above others due to your popularity. So when meeting you was like smack to the face as you were anything but you were quiet and humble and mentioned nothing about your social media. "Hi, im y/n nice to meet you," you said to each of the girls as they moved to you in a line sort of format before training
As you walked towards the training pitches, you began talking to the lotte, which was rather comforting as she was very integrated with the team and knew all the girls. "So you excited to be joining the arsenal," lotte asked you "yeah really excited, and it's a good chance to win some trophies," you said back, smiling at her.
Training began, and you knew you had to prove yourself even if it was just a little bit. The training was based on possession from the backline, which was helpful as you were a centre back, so it meant you would be heavily involved in training. You were good on the ball and even better under pressure even with the likes of russo and caldenty running at you. After the main aim of the session was finished, you did a small sided game of 5v5.
This was your time to show your technical abilities as, at real madrid, you would be used to drive forward into the midfield to start a high press. So you got the ball and made light work of the strikers and played a ball out to mead who was the forward for your team. Mccabe, who was the other defender for your team, ran up and patted your back. "That was class, y/n keep going," she said, taking back anything negative she had previously said about you.
You had definitely proved that you were a footballer and that even though you did have a following, which definitely grew since joining Arsenal, you were a baller who definitely posed a threat to other teams. Since them you had one of the highest success rates for tackles and starting counter attacks.
Then, in the match against aston Villa, a free kick was given just outside the box, and you stepped up to take it. Which was a shock to the fans as centre backs definitely dont take free kicks however after practicing in training and the ball smashing into the top corner more than once you were given a chance to take one in the match.
You stepped a few steps back before the referee whistled to take it. You kicked the ball, wrapping your leg around, making sure to shift all your force through your hips. Everyone watched as the ball curved towards the top corner, and sabrinas finger scraped the ball. However, it went rippling into the net, and the crowd went crazy in celebration.
Your teamates jumped on top of you as you celebrated your first goal for arsenal, and in that moment, they never doubted your skill or ability as you could play football, and you played pretty damn well. Since then, you have become close friends with the team, and although sometimes you missed home, you had found another one in the comfort of arsenal.

People who say they want Jean's abuse to be publicised (especially about the backliners) don't understand why it's egregious for his career and just like an absolute horrendous idea in general.
First off, male SA is only now being talked openly on social media ONLY. Despite this, many victims are not being put to justice because, again, they are male. So imagine how bad it would have been back in 2006-2008 (where people assume that TSC takes place in)?
Men were seen as strong and immune to something such as SA, and it was deemed as less traumatic for men compared to women, which is completely bullshit. This is also to do with a lot of the generic masculinity bla bla bla and roles they were forced on.
Most of the time, male survivors were considered complicit in the act, hence the whole Lucas assuming Jean wanted it as well. This was more of him trying to convince himself that his brother was a monster, but I would argue it's also because of the whole homophobic stigma. I mean, lucas did notice that Jean was also into men.
The other thing is that there's genuinely no proof that it happened to him. Kevin does not know well anything, mainly, and none of the other Ravens would ever come forward and support Jean of all people. This is clear because I can guess a few handful knew of the truth of the backliners "breaking" Jean in. And who's to say those seniors who did that aren't already successful Exy players? That's another problem, especially because it would be a well crafted persona in retaliation to Jean who's labelled as the traitor of the Ravens? Who would the fans believe? Again the whole statutory rape thing would absolutely fuck up things in general because it will just support the propaganda back then that all gay people were predators. The prosecutors wouldn't take Jean seriously because, again, he does like men.
Also, I don't know whether this was relevant, Jean being French is another punch to the gut for him. The age of consent in France is 15, so the backliners could just defend themselves and be like Jean came onto them (which was the rumour spread around in the Nest) and again back in 2000s they didn't take statutory rape for homosexuals seriously. Also, the age of consent in West Virginia was 16, but for California, it has always been 18 so there's that I suppose.
All in all, I really hope it doesn't get publicised in the news because Jean will literally go to hell and back if it does.

THE TROJANS SOCIAL MEDIA AU HEADCANONS pt. 1
laila dermott
laila dermott is muslim!! i've had this headcanon since i read the king's men for the first time in 2019 hehe and now is my time to push it.
nabil & laila are besties. they're both muslim and both in same-sex relationships which leads to them having an understanding of each other like no one else on the team could have with them.
ntm laila fr was his standing pillar when he was figuring out his sexuality
nabil mahmoud
nabil is gay!! which is something he really had to deal with and accept due to him being muslim too (bc what am i without the religious trauma due to sexuality lore)
nabil and tony are dating each other in the socmed au!! even without the au i would like to believe and headcanon there's something happening there :))
i've written a bit more about them in another headcanon post tho.
antonio "tony" jones
tony is what like a year or two older than the rest? he's an assistant and i'm not sure how old they're supposed to be in the book tbh so i would like to think it's possible or he's an intern (i love him being an intern either way tho so i'm very much leaning into that one)
jeremy knox
JEREMY KNOX USED TO PLAY FOOTBALL (soccer), but due to him playing so aggressively and due to him always being guilty of too many fouls he switched to exy :))
cody winter
cody doesn't know what sleep is and they don't care to find out. they're living on like 2 to 4 hours a sleep a night and surprisingly enough it works for them too.
cody is also SUPER competitive which is why they have managed to be part of the captain gc. their competiteviness has led to them pushing the backliners as much as cody can and the backliners actually listen to them too.
shawn anderson
oh shawn. shawn shawn shawn.
you were supposed to be no one. a random guy on the team.
you exist to me now. i feel like i could make a whole post about just him atp.
shawn was supposed to be comedic relief for the posts i felt were too out of character for the rest of the team LMAOO, but now he actually has a personality (to me)
shawn works a part time shop at a café. even though he's surrounded by coffee at all times and drinks so much of it he's the sleepiest guy to ever exist.
like that man gets about 8 hours a sleep every day and still takes nap, but still ends up with bags under his eyes.
he's always tired for some reason and everyone is so used to it atp. like he will ALWAYS sleep on the bus/airplane, no matter how long the drive/flight is.
but when he's finally awake he's so hyper. he says the silliest things. repeats the same phrases over and over again and has about zero filter.
most of the time the zero filter has to do with the fact he speaks before he thinks. it even catches himself off guard sometimes.
i feel like this is too long and we haven't even gotten into jean and shawn dynamic so i'm just gonna cut it off here and they’ll get another part i think
derrick allen
bro we don't even know who derrick is, but apparently he's someone to me now too.
this man has crazy attachment issues, but is also the biggest simp for shawn too.
he likes going around kissing shawn and making out with shawn, but whenever shawn mentions something serious derrick acts like it's just a joke. which i guess is easy to do, because shawn is always treating everything as a joke anyways. except he's really not trying to when it comes to derrick.
jean falls victim to shawn ranting and crying about derrick. so jean respectfully ignores derrick til he gets his shit together.
and i just realised i have SO MUCH to say about derrick and shawn too so let me cut myself off.
derek thompson
same as shawn and derrick. derek is supposed to be a no one, but here i am and suddenly derek is being perceived by me too
SOOO derek was supposed to be like the third party with derrick and shawn. it was supposed to be the three of them flirting and making out and being little shits but then y'all were asking about derrick & shawn and i decided yk what let's do it. then later the short oneshot was written by oomf and derek got mentioned as the one shawn is in love with and i was like oh... i fucked up the dynamic. but in another universe it would've been the three of them ig
ANYWAYYSS derek takes medication. i haven't really decided on what kind of medications, but while thinking about him i always imagined either depression or adhd or both idk
and i have so many more headcanons for the au, but this is too long so i´ll post part 2 another time :))

the one that got away ➶ r. lavelle
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: rose lavelle
summary: part two of the bet
⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ ⋆✦⋆ ⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯
you did what you promised, you had quit the us national team early than you planned. you only represented the team during friendlies, but never a major tournament which meant that you were eligible to play for one of your parent’s home country.
word had gotten out that you are of swedish heritage, making you eligible for the world cup selection. you were named to be part of the 23 player squad roster shocking the american fans that had supported you, they claimed this as a betrayal to your country so you stayed away from social media.
the hate comments that you’ve gotten made you a bit self conscious. as for club, you’ve made a permanent transfer to wolfsburg and made your debut in the bundesliga. the angel city fans had supported your decision.
yet here you were in the swedish locker room, you sat besides zećira who gave you a concerned look.
“nervös?” the goalkeeper asked, as you gave her a timid look. you heard the rose wouldn’t be playing, as she had gotten her second yellow card of the tournament.
it made you feel a bit sick, you knew her dreams would be shattered if the us had gotten knocked out of the tournament. however, you would feel a bit disappointed, angry at the world if your team had gotten knocked out.
“är det så uppenbart? [is it so obvious?]” the goal keeper chuckled at your behavior as she gave you a nod. the team was surprised that you could speak fluent swedish when you first joined the camp, but they would make tease you for having an american accent.
“ditt ben har studsat, så det har varit. [your leg has bounced, so it has been.“ you winced as she gave you a soft pat on the back, it was that obvious huh?
“it’s against my old team, surely there will be fans that hate me.” as the goal keeper was about to respond, you watched as magda and asllani entered the room, signaling it was time for the starting XI to line up in the tunnel.
you stood behind your team’s goal keeper, as you tried to avoid the eyes of your former teammates. no one knew besides julie and the one who caused the transfer.
“why did you leave?” lindsey asked, as she looked behind and set her eyes on you. you saw zećira glanced at the american captain to which you shrugged.
“it’s not important.” you said, as you averted your eyes avoiding the scoff that came out of her mouth. you had this feeling that something could go wrong in this match and you were absolutely correct.
once the national anthems of both teams were gone, you pulled off your hoodie ignoring the way your shirt rode up. frido, who treated you like a younger sister held onto the end of your shirt pulling it down as you gave her a soft smile when the hoodie was already off.
you went into position for the starting XI pictures before taking your place in the backline. you were a defender, a bloody good one on that.
the game started out really rough, in the 26th minute you sent a cross to frido who got a tap on the ball before sending it to the bottom corner. you watched as frido jumped on top of you, you supported her back making sure she wouldn’t fall as your team celebrated, shaking you in the process.
the euphoria had died when trinity had scored an absolute banger of a goal in the 45th minute. as the whistle blew you made your way to the locker room, frido and zecira beside you as you’d talk about something random in swedish.
you didn’t notice her look at you with soft eyes, happy that you were happier but sad that you didn’t even glanced at her.
as the second half had begun, you were tackled by lindsey who had her studs up. it was a challenge, but you were first to get the ball. you held onto your ankle as your team shouted in protest, she wasn’t even carded.
“can you carry on?” the swedish physio asked as you gave him a small nod. you were assisted by a team doctor as they helped you up.
you didn’t know that this match would end into penalties, even after the extra time was given both teams were unable to score. you had also been tackled by the opposing team several times, and the ref had turned a blind eye not calling it, as your team was frustrated.
“you’ll be subbed off.” asllani said, as you yelled in protest.
“i don’t want to be subbed off.” you said, as she turned to you, analyzing your condition if you were able to carry on. you knew there would be bruises but you were quite stubborn.
you watched as both teams had scored 5-5 in penalties, so it was up to you to take the last one. you took a deep breath before she blew the whistle, and when she did you took a short run up before sending it in the bottom right. the ball had hit the net, as you ran towards your teammates. you just scored the winning penalty to move onto the quarter-finals.
“well done, y/n.” magda said as she gave you a pat on the head. you gave her a soft smile, no matter how hard you tried not to, you turned your head to the us bench, interlocking your eyes with rose.
no matter how you ended, you’d promise her that you’d stay by her side. so you slowly approached the bench, and held your arms out. she wrapped her arms around you, as you did the same.
her head was buried in the crook of your neck as you patted her back. you knew a certain someone would tease you later, but it didn’t matter.
in another life, i would be your girl
perhaps in another life things would be different, it wouldn’t be a bet, nor would it end up like this. maybe you both had fallen for each other in a normal way, or maybe you both had fallen for another person.
we keep all our promises, be us against the world
one day in the middle of training, you both made a promise that it would be the two of you against the world. that you’ll fight the odds beside each other rather than against each other. yet look where that ended.
in another life, i would make you stay
rose had deeply regretted the way things ended, she wanted to tell you that it was a bet, that she had fallen in love with you and didn’t mean to hurt you, but you had found out before she could.
she had fallen for you, as she noticed the little things you’d do. you’d open the door for everyone who passes by, you’d write little messages on a sticky note to cheer the team and random people up. you’d randomly act like a fool with kelley which made her smile as she got to saw your childish side.
so i don’t have to say, you were the one that got away
it was her actions that caused you to go away. you felt embarrassed, and dejected on how things ended that you wanted to disappear from this world. you went away to focus on yourself, going out of a relationship wasn’t as easy as some people would say.
the one that got away.

gimme the Jude lore
okay okay Jude Reyes lore incoming
little breakdown first:
26 years old
he/him, pansexual, cis
played for the Trojans for 5 years
graduated with a degree in sports journalism
has adhd and depression (in the rambling bit tw right now for mentions of self harm and suicidal thoughts tying into this)
only child and still upset about it
does the most out of all my ocs to work with college players, spends a lot of his free time flying out to different colleges to work with coaches and teams cause he likes and he enjoys it (gets a lot of teasing about becoming a coach in the future)
knows english and spanish
and oh yeah he's a dealer who will play as an extra backliner if needed
blonde, 6'3, big brown eyes
got his ears pierced cause Mara said he'd chicken out
So yeah Jude graduated from USC at the age of 23 and he was recruited for olympic court when he was 25. He considers the Trojan's his family and still keeps in touch with all the upper classmen who he used to play with. He's very much taken the Trojan attitude into his professional career. He's known as a team player on the court and also a huge activist off the court. He's now involved in presenting the Day Spirit Award every year and he's incredibly proud to have been apart of the team consistently winning it. While Ilya falls into the Just Some Guy category, Jude really takes it up like 10 levels into Golden Child territory. He's the favored one for press duty and is most involved with his teams social media. He's usually the one to sit down for the little games or the ask me anything's or the interviews everyone else deems pointless.
tw for self harm and suicide mentions, you can skip to the next bolded line if you need to
Jude was diagnosed with depression when he was 19 after he came to Rhemann confessing that he had been self harming for a few months after the workload with his class got more difficult for him to manage and he started thinking about committing suicide. He was diagnosed with adhd a few years later when he was 22 and now he now manages both with a mixture of therapy and medication. He's not perfect and obviously that didn't get rid of his depression but he has always had a safe space to talk about it and to get the help he needs. He advocates a lot for mental health in general but especially where athletes where it tends to get ignored with all the pressure put on them and he brings that into all of his relationships with his teammates trying to create a safe space for them. He is a huge factor in actually getting Em, Mara, and Florian to see therapists and he's who Florian calls after his 5th attempt and takes him to the hospital.
okay heavy bit over
I need y'all to know that Jude popped into my head literally today. He was named like 3 hours ago. So this is all just kind of developing as I yap about him. He's big on team inclusion. Doesn't want anyone to feel left out. At first Ilya really butted heads with Mara and Florian cause they were Raven's and Jude was basically the one to get sick of that and tell them they needed to shut the fuck up and put on their get along t-shirt
He's generally pretty outgoing and he loves a good party. And by party he means hosting his team and having some food and drinks and visiting with every one. Though he does go a little crazy after a win and he will probably not get home till like 6 in the morning and then will sleep for a full 24 hours
He comes off as very loud and flirtatious to most people, most people will think he is flirting even when he isn't and he has accidentally agreed to multiple dates before realizing they were dates and having to awkwardly let people down. He doesn't really date much, not seriously, largely because of how involved he is with the media portion of his job. If he does end up dating (and I don't have anyone set up for him yet) it'd most likely be another exy player who is also super involved with the media and interacting with the press
and yeah that's a little bit about Jude

hello hello foxes ranking based on who jean would get along best with?
- @you-know-i-get-itt
omg hiii queen love your social media aus <3
1. Andrew - by “get along with” i mean they exchange like 5 words but idk Jean is so similar to Neil (and Andrew). i hope they end up on a pro team together
2. Renee - we’ve already seen they get along well
3. Neil - they piss each other off but also they’re forever partners. they look out for each other and they have the same brand of insults. homies <3
4. Matt - Matt is good at exy so Jean would respect him and Matt is nice and funny and hot. would take some time but eventually backliner buddies
5. Dan - Jean seems to appreciate a strong, skilled woman. like Thea
6. Kevin - im sorry that Kevin is here i just think their friendship is kind of ruined forever. i think if they played tg again they would piss each other tf off lmao. Jean would get prickly at Kevin’s harsh criticism after their history lol and Kevin would get pissed off that Jean isn’t listening to him and would feel guilty
7. Aaron - i think Jean would feel so neutral about Aaron. unbothered king
8. Allison - ik they’re both tall, pretty, and cunty but i think they probably wouldn’t find a lot of common ground lol
9. Nicky - they’re not vibing. Jean would get annoyed quick i think lol

my friend and i have an entire team of foxhole OCs and its so funny how clearly you can see our ravens bias bc the team captain is a huge riko fan and the Definately Not team captain is a jean fan, and their coach is a former raven
The St Felix Lynxes (we are not american and simply refused to go with a real school)
Tumblr media
(This isnt my art but they dont really have social media. They told me to link to their artfight- all art in this post is theirs)
The dynamic here is that 01 (Priore Marino) was the captain and then just. disappeared. So 05(Roman Denar) took over as captain and played the whole last year as captain - and their stuff is set in the fox timeline and theyre from the ravens old district so Denar is pretty excited about this next year because now that the ravens have switched, they have a chance to go further. He's excited for his second year as captain -- and on the first training session of the new year, Priore walks in, demands he strips so he can take his number back and humiliates him in front of everyone
Tumblr media
02 (Marco Bianchi) and 08 (Noah Baker) are Priore's backliner bodyguards essentially and make sure Denar does as he's told. Marco disappeared with Priore but Noah stayed (Priore went home to Italy but nobody is sure why. im also not sure why, these OCs are from 2020 and i cant seem to find any note of what he was doing. he did get top surgery while he was gone tho)
Tumblr media
Coach is really awful (Affectionate) because being trained in the nest does things to a guy. he's an alcoholic, hes a bastard and he wont let any of his players kill each other but only really stops priore when he makes denar late for practice
Coach was originally a lynx, got scouted into the ravens and did the rest of his collage career there, ended up too traumatised to want to go pro so went back to the lynxes as a coach Priore didn't get into Edgar Allen so came to St Felix because Coach used to be a raven, its the best he can get (priore idolises and resents the ravens)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some of the others Not including coach i think we ended up with 7 fleshed out players but we wanted them to be a team of 15 (i have other art of 'mine' but its old and i dont like it lmao)
as a team they have the shortest shorts in class 1 exy
We made it a point that Priore wasn't mafia bc we wanted to be slightly less edgy than the books. but there is art like this so idk if we succeeded in that
Tumblr media
Team lineup-- 01 - Priore Marino (Striker) (Italian) 02 - Marco Bianchi (Backliner) 05 - Roman Denar (Dealer) (Canadian) 06 - Timothee Yenisei (Backliner) 07 - Alik North (Striker) 08 - Noah Baker (Backliner) 13 - Misha LeBlanc (Goalie)
one day im going to write it and friend is going to illustrate like a light novel, and it will be the most self indulgent project ive worked on

The Show (part 1)
- I LOVED the concert! ❤️❤️ I loved every song on the setlist, loved the band, loved the big screens, loved the band, loved the pyro, loved the lighting, loved the band, loved the fancam (especially the guy and girl flashing their chest 😄), and did i mention i loved the band? ❤️❤️
- From what i usually browse after a show on social media the focus is mostly on the visuals, but men! does this band have good music! There isn't a song i don't like on that whole setlist.
- at first everybody on the tribunes was pretty quiet, because of the rain many stayed in the food and drinks area until Rammstein started and then were cold and wet, but i was in one of the top rows and had the fortune of having a couple of people around (all Germans, Nijmegen is pretty close to Germany too) who were dancing along which was great fun 🥰 so we had a great overview over the entire venue and all the people in it
- i don't know if it was cold on stage too, it was probably wet enough, but the band didn't show it. True professionals giving it their all, and getting the audience excited, each on their own side of the stage, so everyone in the audience has someone from the band looking at their side, and when f.i. Till walks over to Richard's side, Richard moves to the middle to be in touch with the audience there; these guys know what they are doing 🥰
- Liked the supporting act Abelard well enough, as i really enjoy the piano versions of the songs anyway, but they played at the most rainy part of the evening and had difficulty getting the crowd behind them (not for lack of enthusiasm of the ladies); think i was the only one who applauded after a song (didn't stop me doing it 😊). I do get what some here said a while ago, that 'no supporting act' would be an option too, indeed the pre-pre-show music from Rammstein with bits of older music videos was quite good as a warming up too, and i got to hear some of my favorite songs like Mutter and Frühling in Paris through that, so that made me happy 🥰 But when Abelard finished the crowd was growing and we even cheered on the drum soundcheck (i assume by Schneider's backliner Rossi Rossberg).
- My seat was unfortunately right behind one of the towers which blocked my view of center stage a lot, so i couldn't really see Till and Schneider that well 🥺 fortunately Till moves around on stage quite a lot (and is ofcourse often on the big screens) so that helped, but Schneider i think i only saw at the boats and at the bows/salut. Even from the seats i could tell Schneider was enjoying the crowd boating, and i loved how sparkly Flake was in the boat (Paul and Olli's boat was right behind them, but Richard's took a while, for a second i feared he had skipped the boating and walked back with Till 😊) Till was back just in time to help Schneider and Flake out, although they probably don't need it, they are very skilled by now 😊

Andrew Minyard mic’d up if aftg took place today and the Foxes did social media promo
Andrew absolutely refuses to be mic’d up for a long time
When he finally agrees to do it it’s during a game against the Jackals
Everyone is sure it’ll be a bust and they won’t get much of Andrew actually talking
But to everyone’s surprise, Andrew turns his inner monologue outwards and doesn’t shut up
He commentates the game from his perspective
‘And there’s the son of Exy Kevin Day running the ball up- and oh yeah no he’s down for the count’ *huffs a laugh through his nose*
‘The other fuckers have the ball now, if my brother dearest let’s them get it to my goal I’ll kill him’
And when the opposing teams striker trips Aaron up and gets past to Andrews goal he shuts them out of course
‘He’s dead. Find a new backliner coach’
When he gets bored of the game and the backliners are keeping the ball away from his goal he starts to sing
He does a full rendition of “Life is a Highway” because Neil and him watched Cars on the bus ride to the game
And he gets into it
He makes the guitar noises with his mouth and everything
He even sings it in the best low, country voice he can do
He interrupts himself in the middle of the song suddenly, feeling the need to give his full synopsis and review of Cars
‘If I was the stupid fucking car and I fell out of my sentient truck/trailers ass I would keep driving in the same fucking direction. Simple’
‘Josten would do the same thing as Lightning McQueen. He would fuck up an entire town, he’s already done it once actually, when he came here.’
‘Stupid junkie, I hate him’ he adds but there’s a fondness in his voice
‘How do the cars reproduce? Are there humans in this universe that build cars and then make them sentient? Do the cars bang?’
Halfway through his rant one of the strikers gets past Matt and Aaron and he doesn’t even stop talking when he smacks the ball halfway across the court
When the other teams strikers start breaking through the backliners more frequently Andrew doesn’t even seem to care
He just swats every attempted goal away, squawking a quite ‘mine’ like the seagulls from Finding Nemo after hitting each one
Mine *smacks* mine *swats* mine *swish*
He keeps his goal almost completely shut down the entire game, spare a few times when the other team can get the ball past him because he’s not paying attention
‘I wonder what coach is buying us for dinner after this. I hope it's good since we’re’ *his goal lights up red* ‘Oops, anyhow it better be good, I’m working my ass off out here,’
‘What if we all started moving in slow motion. Josten and Day would look stupid running up the court like that,’ *a ball flies past his helmet* ‘If we were in slowmo I would’ve stopped that’
He plays the entire game (Renee's out with an injury) and he shuffles through doing all this the entire game
He sings verses of whatever song pops into his head
He reviews the movies he’s watched recently
He commentates the game in his dry manner, listing off every stat he knows about the other team and then explains why they still suck
He makes fun of his Foxes and the other team
He talks about his random hypotheticals
All while keeping the goal almost perfectly defended against the other teams strikers
When the game ends and the Foxes are loaded back up on the bus they listen back to the recording of Andrews mic
And they’re shocked that he doesn’t stop talking once the entire game
They listen to his entire recording on the ride back to campus
All of the Foxes are laughing the entire time
Even Neil is smiling (even though he’s used to this version of Andrew that is weird and likes to ramble)
When they post his mic’d up highlights to their social media it goes viral
It’s their most viewed and liked mic’d up video
Their fans are begging for more of Andrew mic’d up but he refuses to do it again
He got the enjoyment out of doing it once and doesn’t feel a need to do it again
The foxes do start to pay a little more attention to what Andrew’s saying while in goal (and all the time)
Aaron Mic’d up

England 3 - 4 Germany
Well that match was...something.
Definitely interesting for a neutral observer, probably...more nerve wracking for fans of either team. Chaotic football at its finest.
I don't think anyone from the England team came out of that game looking super impressive, though there were definitely different levels of chaos for each player.
Hampton was nervy and appeared quite shaken as the game went on; the confidence she regained at the start of the second half did not last long. You can debate all day how much of the open play goals were defenders failures vs goalkeeper failures, but I wouldn't say any of them came out looking great. Defenders get more of the blame, for me, but Hampton did not look confident at all and I think that affected her performance a lot. Bright and Williamson were all over the shop (I genuinely think Bright only stayed on for her height defending set pieces). Carter and Bronze were doing some very weird things positionally in the opening 30 minutes, though I think they levelled out and did much better after that, certainly moreso than the centre backs. Also Bronze got that dropped ball from Berger to get the third goal to make the scoreline more respectable. Overall, the entire defence just seemed to struggle to work together at times.
Walsh was quiet and locked out of the game; opponents know England try to play through her and do their best to keep her out of the game. Toone, I thought, was one of the better players in the first half, but towards the end you could see that frustrations and emotions were getting to her (completely understandable, wasn't the last time she played at Wembley the FA Cup win with her dad watching? It's only been just over a month since he died, of course that's going to be tough). Stanway obviously got two of the goals, but there were long periods where she was losing the ball in midfield or struggling to get a hold in the game as well, though less so than some other players.
The front three were probably the best as a unit of the team. Mead seemed to struggle the most of the three, but she got in some good passes and an assist. Russo apparently is doomed to hit the woodwork forever more, but she looked lively and pressed hard. Hemp was probably the best player for England yesterday and there were times when she was ahead of the pack and had to resort to passing back to avoid losing the ball, which was frustrating.
Subs-wise, Park struggled to make an impact because of how much the entire midfield struggled. She pressed forward a few times, but seemed to get dragged into firefighting the panic and mayhem like everyone else. Greenwood seemed to bring a bit more calm to the backline and direction, but probably would have had a better impact starting rather than being subbed in. Kelly couldn't really get into the game either and her coming in for Russo was an unusual choice. Le Tissier and Naz didn't have much time to make an impact, so it doesn't seem fair to assess their performance much. I will say, though, Naz doesn't only keep up with Hemp pace-wise, but also reads the game well so makes clever runs at the right time. She could very well solve some of that frustration of Hemp finding herself missing an attacking partner when she runs on ahead.
And Germany were also chaotic in their own way, too. Truly a bizarre game of football that did not seem like a friendly at times.
The reaction to the game has also reminded me of some more thoughts I have about WoSo journalism, the quality, the misinformation, and how it feeds into the nastiness online and directed at the players, especially with this rivalry they're trying to get clicks off of in the fight for the #1 Jersey in goal (it's not a coincidence that Earps has clearly taken a step back from social media in the last month or so, or that Hampton has turned her comments off on her recent social media post). However, that's a much more winding and rambling sort of thought process, so I'll leave that for another post.
Lionesses...Wiegman...less chaos on Tuesday please.

Naehers fantastic for country, but for club shes not quite such a standout. She's not helped by a shaky defense, but it seems like she's just not there. I think with her retirement it might push her above akb. Akb deserves it absolutely, but the old "oh we should give it to her as a leaving present" will likely take over.
I was surprised to see the entire Chelsea backline from last season on the best xi nominations. I absolutely voted for Jess, but I'm also reminded that this is a backline that left in 4 corner goals from Liverpool in a must win game 😅 millie played about 6 games last year, and I don't think she was a standout at all.
Yeah I totally agree
And sadly it turned out that Naeher won but the whole awards just kinda went under the radar cause they were just announced the winners randomly on social media

Bayern Munich remains a dominant force in German football, but even the most consistent clubs face challenges. However, Tuchel faces a key setback with the injury to star striker Harry Kane. According to Kicker, the English forward’s absence poses a significant challenge to Bayern’s offensive plans. [ad_1] Cesar Manzoki brought down by a challenge from Pratik Chaudhari. Source: ISL Media Mohammedan SC’s woes in their inaugural ISL season continued as the Black-and-White brigade saw their winless run extend to six consecutive matches after succumbing to a 3-1 defeat against Jamshedpur FC. Despite a resilient first-half performance, Andrey Chernyshov’s men faltered in the second half, leaving them second from the bottom of the table. The absence of midfield stalwarts Alexis Gomez and Mirjalol Kasimov was keenly felt as both players were suspended, having accumulated four yellow cards each. Their absence disrupted the Kolkata side’s midfield structure, leaving gaps that Jamshedpur FC exploited effectively. Mohammed Sanan opened the scoring for Jamshedpur FC, while Javier Siverio and Stephen Eze added to the tally. Mohammed Irshad managed to score a consolation goal for the visitors, but Khalid Jamil’s team held their defensive shape to deny Mohammedan any further comeback. Mohammedan SC had a golden chance to reduce the deficit in the seventh minute of added time when Pratik Chaudhary fouled Cesar Manzoki inside the box. However, Brazilian forward Franca’s penalty was brilliantly saved by Albino Gomes at full stretch, denying Mohammedan any late resurgence. .@AlbinoGomes07 showing why he has the most number of penalty saves in #ISL history! #JFCMSC #LetsFootball #JamshedpurFC #AlbinoGomes | @JamshedpurFC @JioCinema @Sports18 pic.twitter.com/BMfa5zvduf — Indian Super League (@IndSuperLeague) December 2, 2024   After the match, Chernyshov admitted that his team needs to improve. “I said before, in football, you need to have quality and you need to be lucky,” he remarked. He also expressed dissatisfaction with certain players’ performances. “But I am not worried about the result. I am worried some players did not perform to our expectations. They need to bring more to the matches and play with more confidence.” Mohammedan SC’s decision to rely on the core of their I-League-winning squad has backfired, as many players have struggled to replicate their previous form in the ISL. The team next face Punjab FC on December 6. If they fail to secure a point, they will match Punjab FC’s record for the worst start by debutants, with Punjab having managed only five points from 10 games last season. However, Punjab staged an impressive comeback in the second half of that campaign, pulling off stunning results against stronger teams to finish eighth. For Mohammedan SC, such a turnaround seems daunting but not impossible. Chernyshov, who is already under scrutiny, has significant challenges to address. Key reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window could be pivotal in strengthening the squad. Defensive frailty has been a major concern. While Gaurav Bora, Florent Ogier, and Joseph Adjei (recently recovered from injury) show potential, the backline lacks cohesion and compactness. Goal-scoring woes compound the issue. Mohammedan SC have managed just five goals in ISL 2024-25, tied with Jamshedpur FC for the joint-lowest tally for a debut team after this many games. Strikers Franca and Manzoki have underperformed, leaving the club management facing difficult decisions ahead of the transfer window. Fan frustration has flooded social media, with many criticising the team’s performances. Currently second from the bottom of the table, Mohammedan desperately need a strong showing against Punjab FC to revive their campaign and restore some pride. Despite the challenges, Chernyshov remained optimistic. “Now, we need to analyse this match and prepare for the next one,” he said. “In a few days, we’ll have another away game, and we need to be ready.” Also Read: Greg Stewart: The Magician Mohun Bagan Needed Once Again The post Mohammedan SC’s Winless Run Continues with 3-1 Loss to Jamshedpur FC appeared first on Sports News Portal | Latest Sports Articles | Revsports.
