mmmmmmm it's one in the morning and i cant sleep and im thinkin about sappy bittersweet afterlife shenanigans

i was posting the other day about thane and irikah being reunited when thane dies and how frigging good and wonderful that would be and how she picks him up and spins him around and they're both crying and it's so sappy and good?? and then after years of good good domestic afterlife bliss, one day garrus shows up. introductions are made, some catching up is done, and for a few years, it's the three of them. (also i'm lowkey imagining the setting of all this being like....a beachside cabin?? one of those really pretty ones, where it's all light and open and it's simple but in a really nice way. the kind of beach house you could spend a blissful eternity of afterlife in, y'know?) after a few more years have passed, emmett finally washes up on the beach. and yeah he's absolutely a sobbing wreck at seeing both of his husbands again, thane especially, because by this point it's been decades since thane died and em is absolutely Crying On Main but yeah he gets introduced to irikah and then?? it's the four of them?? thane and his wife and his husbands?? having sappy polyamorous afterlife shenanigans, gradually watching their friends and family (the ones who aren't already there with them by this point, probably in neighboring beach houses or something, god i'm sobbing so hard writing this fuckign post) show up as the years pass.
