Y’all, we did it. We made it to the infamous and long-awaited Traveler Con! And honestly... it was exactly as chaotic as I expected it to be. But despite long bouts of laughter and shenanigans, there were really poignant friendship moments that honestly tugged at my heart strings. I just.... I love their found family so much, and appreciate them so much! (Full commentary/liveblogging below. Spoilers as well, of course!)

- “Caleb, do you want to come dance?” “With you? Ja.” Oh how I have missed my Widobrave friendship, I love them so 😭

- Speaking of friendships I adore, Team Clerics is so adorable and so underrated

- “Their first Ouija board” uhhhhh how many Ouija boards have you owned, Matthew??

- Caleb specifying that he needs Veth and Beau is So Good, I love their friendships so much. Sometimes I think about the fact that they were the only ones there for the loss of Mollymauk, the only ones who went through that tragedy together in the moment and the direct aftermath, and I think about how Caleb and Beau in particular need each other as a family, and I just...... get so emotional over it

- Fjord with his whole 7 wisdom panicking whenever someone asks him for advice fghjdkl listen, i understand you on a spiritual level sir

- Quick interlude just to say that Marisha, Liam, and Tal all have Top Tier outfits this episode, I wonder if Liam and Tal purposely coordinated or if they both indiviually decided “yes. tropical island means we’re breaking out these thematic shirts.”

- Travis’s Eurovision comparisons during Yasha’s harp concert (”please welcome Xhorhas”) dsfghjks it’s so trueee

- Yasha rolling a 5 on a Performance check and Veth following that by shooting(??) the stage with her pistol is so funny but also seems so on brand, this is exactly the amount of chaos I was hoping Traveler Con would begin with

- A dick economy is, again, very Traveler Con

- VETH GLUING THE DICK TO CELIA’S HAND VETH NO

- Beau tackling Celia moodboard, tag yourself I’m Matt and Laura

- I think Matt is literally crying laughing and Sam is Losing It, i’m laughing so hard fghfjklfjfkl

- Y’all, I love the Mighty Nein’s found family so much, they’ve all known each other for less than a year and they are so ride or die for one another

- “Moon’s got to have a prison, right?”  Me, who has seen the Galaxy Brain Exandrian Moons Video: i am vibrating at a normal frequency. i have a normal amount of interest in this world’s moons.

- Does Veth really have a lower Wis than Fjord and Yasha because if so: lmao i love you queen

- Anyway Veth not being able to tell that Jester is illusory is so funny “Yep, this seems like Jester to me! I love her! She’s the cutest!” and Veth’s soft “Oh no!” when illusory Jester ‘starts crying’

- Okay but really though... Traveler Con was all I expected it to be and more, and I really like how much we got to see of Jester and her relationship with the Traveler here. I am interested to see if/how those dynamics will shift as a result of the occurrences of this night, and honestly the alternate timeline where he does disappear and Jester is left patron-less will always haunt me

Monthly favorites: August 2017

Hello everyone!

My blog is currently undergoing some changes as I am on the process of launching new content series here and this is one of them. I’ve been seeing posts about “Monthly Favorites” from other lifestyle bloggers that I follow and read, and I figured out that in a way, my blog should have this series (lol). I was supposed to start this for July but that month felt too far from me now, even if it is my birth month.

So much for quite lengthy introductions! For the month of August, here are my current favorites:

1. My new Bible app!

I’ve been a user of a simple Bible app on my iTouch for years but I must admit, it is a challenging app, especially for my Bible reading because its easiest version is King James, with which I find the Scripture difficult to comprehend. I remember my good friend Aya to have a better and woman-friendly Bible app on her iPhone so I asked her (again) about it, and I immediately downloaded it from the App Store. It’s an engaging Bible app targeting Christian women called “She Reads Truth” and with this app, I got to choose the English Standard Version for my digital Bible and I’m loving it! The app also has additional attractions like music, shop, news, and lock screens which are all beautiful. I’m recommending this app for beginners in reading His word on the go!

2. Papemelroti postcards

I’m a huge fan of Papemelroti but it was only lately when I discovered how cute their postcards are, thanks to my sister’s new passion in collecting them. Papemelroti products are perfect for someone who’s a vintage-themed stationery lover and is on always on a budget (lol) like me, and their stuff are also Christian and positivity related. I’ve put some of the postcards on my work desk and they give me extra good vibes everyday!

3. Holidays (believe it or not!)

I’ll keep it short and simple: Holidays are perfect for long distance work travels - in my case - because there are no traffic! Also, workloads are lesser for the bosses are not around (haha!) and the demand of the job is also toned down.

4. 10 minute writing challenge!

I came across with this while I was searching for new content ideas for this blog and I was inspired because this will give me no excuse to not write content on a regular basis. My struggles for personal writing are strong and I want to overcome these. With the 10 minute writing challenge, I’m getting better with writing down my personal thoughts spontaneously.

5. Kawaii sticker packs from Ate Chichi aka Little Miss Paintbrush!

Aaahhh, this may be my most favorite for this month! My boyfriend went to this year’s Asia Pop Comic Con and he bought me two packs of really cute stickers from one of the booths for local artists. I’ve been meaning to order LMP’s stickers online but I was out of the budget most of the time and I’m still learning how to do online shopping (I’m such a loser, lol), but thankfully, Angelo Rico got me some. I don’t want to waste them as much as possible for they are really cute!

6. #artPH trend on Twitter

Lastly, despite of every negative thing that is happening around me and my country, Filipinos were still capable to put smiles and let the light of hope shine for good things with an online trend called #artPH. This aims to showcase and support budding Filipino art talents and I myself have participated with it. My eyes were filled with amazement when I browsed through the trend. I blogged about it here!

Rating: RWhy is it damn good: This is actually the fic that got me into shipping John and Paul (along fiona’s drawings). It has stayed as one of my favourites for all these years, for nostalgia or for the quality? I don’t know, but this fic changed my life. Also a warning: After this you’ll never be able to listen to If I Fell without thinking about this fic and having FEELINGSOverall rating: 👌👌👌👌

April Fool, by beatle_boot

Rating: NC-17Why is it damn good: Cynthia dies while giving birth to Julian (a whole new perspective of what might have happened), John and Paul take care of Julian like an old married couple, John and Paul become an old married couple. What’s not to like? Includes Paul pining over John, John pining over Paul, Satisfyingly slow build, and Julian being just plain adorable. Aww. Definitely one of my favourites.Overall rating: 👌👌👌👌

Je Ne Regrette Rien, by many authors

Rating: NC-17Why is it damn good: A multi-author collaboration about the Paris trip; 14 chapters, 13 authors, each taking one day of Paul and John’s two-week travelling. It’s a great thing, and a wholesome story even with the author changing at every chapter. Highly recommend ;))Overall rating: 👌👌👌

This, That, Drinks And Dreams, by Deux_Lunes

Rating: NC-17Why is it damn good: Okay, so this is one of my ABSOLUTE favs. I don’t know what it is in this that makes me come back over and over again, but. Paul mopes after John’s gone into Spain, and gets drunk, and complains to George, who makes John come over, and it is just perfect. Aaahhh. This fic is like a soothing salvation after a hard day at uni. Read it. Full five points.Overall rating: 👌👌👌👌👌

Discipline, by Deux_Lunes

Rating: NC-17Why is it damn good: From the same author, and, well, dear god. There is basically no plot. Just good old spanking and... well, that’s it. Smut. Perfect.Overall rating: 👌👌👌👌

Ah, Look at All the Lonely People, by Gereiheimer

Rating: NC-17Why is it damn good: Paul is a priest, John is a rich artist. John meets Paul in a god-forsaken village and they kind of fall for each other (”kind of” is underestimating the feelings in this one). I think this is also one of the first ones I read, and I love it still.Overall rating: 👌👌👌👌

Rating: NC-17Why is it damn good: Well, of course this fic is here. Never before has porn with a plot been so good. And it is literally just that; Porn. But there’s a plot included, as an extra. Rating: R (I guess)Why is it damn good: This is a small fic, but it’s been my beloved one ever since I read it. Funny, and hot in a slightly surprising way. Also hella cute. This is seriously probably my favourite fic, which is funny considering that it’s so.... small. But I keep coming back to it no matter what, and it always brings my mood up. Black Olives + I Want You, by lukinha_jesus

Rating: NC-17Why is it damn good: hhgnhnnhghngnh I accidentally read these in a reversed order at the first time, and was slightly confused (if you’ve read these, you can imagine). After that I’ve read them in the right order about a million times, and I am no longer confused. I am in love. Remember to check the warnings in these two. Basically BDSM/dub-con/kinky sex.Overall rating: 👌👌👌👌👌

Très Beau,by lukinha_jesus

Rating: RWhy is it damn good: This is such a good fic, and cute. It also features French, which always makes me smile smugly (for no reason at all). I think it’s one of lukinha’s earlier works, but it’s still great. Her writing honed excellently over the years, but this is a good example of her potential as a fic writer even before she had tackled all the “good writer’s tips”. Just great fun reading this.Overall rating: 👌👌👌👌

Boy, You’ve Been A Naughty Girl, by Merseysidestory

Rating: NC-17Why is it damn good: .....Do I really have to say why this is good? Despite the slight off-characterisation of Paul (which is totally fine!), this is a damn good fic. Contains a lot of women’s dresses, John pining over Paul, and being wonderfully oblivious. Also, sex in a chair 👌Overall rating: 👌👌👌👌

Come Together, by Merseysidestory

Rating: NC-17Why is it damn good: The boys... come... all over... Paul. That’s it. There’s no plot. It’s just sex. I don’t know if I should really put this sinful work on this list, but.... i’m going into hell anyway? Hare Fucking Krishna, by Smilesawakeyou

Rating: PG-13Why is it damn good: This is a rather new find of mine, which I only recently discovered with all the JP-library building. It’s set around George’s death, and he is... well, basically on his deathbed, and he’s got some unfinished business to sort out with Paul, and it makes you laugh and cry, but it’s beautiful. Definitely on my list of “new favourites”Overall rating: 👌👌👌

Small Paul’s Singularge Experience, by the_anglophile

Rating: NC-17Why is it so damn good: This is just a perfectly funny fic. I first read it yeeeeaaars back when it was on LJ, and it just makes me crack up every time. Basically, Paul stays small (Help! Universe), and he and John.... Well, they find ways to have fun with that. In an NC-17 way. hahaOverall rating: 👌👌👌

Lifting Latches/Sending Postcards, bythinkpink20

Rating: NC-17Why is it so damn good: A classic, a favourite, DAMN GOOD. You just kind of want to.... like.... ugh.... push..... Paul and John into each other’s arms...... and..... UGH-In all seriousness, just a prime example of how small actions can lead into big ones, and IT HAS SO MUCH PAUL PINING OVER JOHN. I LOVE IT.Overall rating: 👌👌👌👌👌

And last, but not least...

Wednesday Evening Salons + The Elephant Dance + Too Much Rain, by yes_2dayRating: NC-17Why is it so damn good: I don’t know how many of y’all actually know this fic, but it is just... well, I have no words for how great it is. It’s a bit difficult to read the chapters, thanks to LJ’s impossible systems, and then fic might start a bit slowly, but in the end it’s totally worth it. The whole fic is still going on, and it already has about 250 chapters? That’s a lot of chapters for a quality fic. Also, you’ll fall in love with the author’s two OC’s. I know I did and I just scream with delight whenever they appear in the fic.Basically, John doesn’t die in 1980, and Paul and John entwine in a complicated and difficult relationship, managing to stand through hardship and years, and the fic is written so well that I sometimes forget things didn’t happen that way. Then I get sad. But then I read another chapter and get happy again. And get sad again ‘cos it’s not real. It’s a never-ending circle. I just can’t praise this one enough. (Gotta get it into the library ASAP, but there are.... a lot of chapters....)Overall rating: 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌+ BLESS THIS FIC
