okay, here we go. it isnt a dj set, its a record player. oddly enough, its a reward from the singleplayer campaign. looks at the two closer they might not be the same objects but still thought id add this personally i also think these are hotlantis items cause of how.. out of place and bright they are compared to the rest of the scenery and palette of the dlc. but its confusing that the first box in the first image has what looks like the octarian tentacle mem cake. why is that there next to all these little cute decorations. if we get any of these in a future season catalog ill freak out (also, its possible these items may look big because of how background environments work in splatoon. probably for visibility reasons, things in the background are a lot bigger than they actually would be. this goes for multiplayer maps, singleplayer maps, and even the main plazas/cities)

Hey so I have a nagging suspicion that these items are being made for Hotlantis. Like why would the trailer have such a prominent shot of these things being made/packaged? Although none of these items shown are actually purchasable in-game (I've checked the entire list), these are way too miscellaneous to be anything else besides locker decorations. I have no idea why they are so big, but then again, a huge chunk of these locker decorations are smaller "replicas" of in-game objects. This might also tie into the pollution themes of this dlc as these are most certainly massed produced toys with plastic packaging (cuz y'know, that and a lot of carbon emissions). We might actually see Barry C themself as a side character at least if this is what they're actually up to while letting Harmony work at their store.
