If you could, how would you rewrite Raines story arc to be more satisfying? Raine is one of my favorite characters, and THEY deserved a more respectful storyline.
I'll try to keep it brief, I think they should have been written more like Lilith in season 1. And I don't mean by personality or making them evil.
Lilith was also created for Eda's development, her character and backstory basically revolves and Eda, and two of them spend the whole season apart from each other on opposite sides.
If anything this was probably intentional considering how as soon as Lilith moved out Raine was introduced. To be the new character from Eda's past she has to reconnect with. And because of this shot:

The only difference is that the show actually acknowledges all the angst the sisters go through, it's crucial to the story and it means something.
And wether you think Lilith was forgiven too easily or not, there was still a satisfying conclusion of the sister's arc. And it was BOTH their arcs.
There were multiple points where we got to see Lilith's perspective/how she is outside of Eda. Even the entire flashback was through her point of view.
With Raine, we're only really allowed to know them through Eda's perspective. There's only like two scenes I think where we see things from Raine's pov? It makes it seem like Raine is an extension of Eda and not thier own person.
If anything it would work better to parallel Eda and Luz. Amity and Hunter and a similar arc of being antagonistic, learning to go against their abusive guardian, and growing a connection with Luz. With Amity romantic, and with Hunter familial.
It could have shown where Eda failed in her sibling and lover, Luz succeeded, and helped Eda succeed as well. (Imagine if Luz actually did help Eda reconnect with Raine like she did with Lilith?)
But between Lilith, Amity, Hunter, and Raine. Suspiciously only Raine got the short end of the stick.
