Ok so. In the resdogs script, the deleted scene with info on Larry’s background comes right before the scene in Freddy’s apartment (fool for love - you know the one). And when he’s getting ready and does his little “they don’t know shit you’re fucking baretta” speech, it’s not generalized anxiety about the heist, it’s actually a specific reaction to hearing about Larry shooting up that cop’s birthday party, and Holdaway asking how good his cover is.

So basically Freddy expects White to be his biggest threat. And instead, Larry becomes his protector, he’s gentle and he’s compassionate and he’s just such a fucking contrast to the image of him that Freddy has from the background check that I’m literally still undecided whether or not it was a good idea to cut that scene.
