Okay lets try to get back to this, we're almost done with it i think (if we accept the "not entirely happly ever after yet but working towards it and bond to get there eventually" as our happy ending). Anyway

On the voice's fake backstory, i think we could go for cursed soul. Him being cursed explains why martin can't see him, by all accounts he just ddoesnt have a body to be seen. But he isnt able to roam free because the curse keeps him tied to the castle, tied to that horrible beast he refuses to ever talk to (so if martin asks the beast about the voice, luciano can just deny saying anything). And him as the voice can go on and on about how lonely and sad he is and try to connect with martin through both being prisoners. Maybe for some extra spice, he claims the voice was once a common villager very long ago, before the beast was cursed, and tell him about how they used to have a prince, who as charming and fun and loved by everyone, until one day the beast arrived and idk ate the prince in a bite and took the castle and terrorized everyone.

I dont think theres much more to say plot-wise, reading it all again after all this mini-hiatus (sorry abt that lol). I like the idea of martin being visited by the other former 'sacrifices' and thus getting more and more confused.

I do think the love confession works better when lu is already in his castle, in his final moments. Giving him time to run back to the castle feels like a little TOO MUCH time yk we need more hurry. I think we can keep luciano wanting to visit the village one last time, but before he gets to martin the village spots him and we get the angry mob. Martin hears about it, everyone expects him to join the mob obviosuly, but something in him cant help but try to outrun them and reach luciano first, to find him maybe right by the last flower/tree in his last moments. Martin doesnt know if he's already turned fully into a beast, until he steps closer and then boom love confession

another thing i do think i want to keep is martin being the one to 'kill' him at the end. He knows lulu will turn into a mindless beast, either he does it or lets the village do it, and he can see in luciano's eyes he1d want it to be him. So he does it after the love confession, just to regret it immediately and curse the heavens for not letting there be another way, and luciano transforms in thhe middle of his tears. IDK bro i just like the angst better.

In a short of epilogue fashion, now that luciano is human, he has a lot of stuff to sort out. The villages around were too long without their price (its a fairy tale so lets just roll with the monarchy = good here), he's disoriented and confused and having to get used to his old-new skin, and he really wants martin by his side, even if just as a friend. Just... there, with him, so that he doesnt feel so alone and confused. Martin hesitates, but he cant say no for too long, so he agrees with this distant friendship of sorts. But he was already too in love from the beginning, and as luciano turns more and more into his real self as he settles back into his life, the less martin can really be angry at him for wanting to lift his curse. And also luciano can use all his Voice strategies to woo martin back, (maybe in a twist to the original story this is the point tincho is gifted the library in the castle, we know he likes books) , but this time attached to his beautiful face. Who can blame martin for falling all over, really
