Daisuke WIP.
Also, mouthwashing fans who infantilise a young man need to maybe play the game again. You know. The game with heavy themes about the inherent horrors of losing one’s personal autonomy. We all know children’s autonomy is definitely respected /sarcasm. He’s naive and bubbly and optimistic but he’s still a grown ass dude. Stop treating young adults like they’re little kids challenge go.

i feel like such a bitch for it but its honestly felt so vindicating to have the pro-pal crowd called out with how theyre calling for everyone to give up their gddamn human rights """for palestine"""
i feel awful for saying it but. in the usa at least, since thats all i can speak for, it feels like theres a real problem among arab communities where there's absolutely no recognition of their history of imperialism/colonizer bs, their history of slavery, and yknow, their entire history with jews + theyre coddled in their beliefs if not outright praised by usually rich white goyische kids. im not saying other communities dont have similar issues, but obviously this is the one having the bigger impact rn (imho) and its a double whammy for how it's happening
it almost feels like some kind of rebellion/backlash against the post-9/11 mindset & racism, but like, in that way that bratty kids rebel where they have no clue what any of the actual original protesting meant, if that makes any sense? like they've heard ppl talk about how shit was fucked in the aftermath but instead of taking in anything, they just wanna be white saviors of the poor, helpless brown ppl being genocided by those eeevvviiilll jews!
also since i mentioned that... how much would you bet all those little dumbass "osama bin laden was right" white kids are full pro-hamas weirdos now lmao
you’re right! tbh the circle jerk between entitled leftist arabs and entitled leftist european white people is just that. colonizer recognizes colonizer.
fun fact my friend: they ARE pro hamas. the black non jews who said osama was right are too lmao. you had the right instinct!!
and the thing is: we warned non arab people about this, especially black non jews, and they didnt care or listen. (i am pointing out leftist black non jews btw, we do have a lot of amazing allies). the antisemitism and history of colonization of other groups didnt matter to them. the prejudice matters now that it’s effecting them directly.
it’s been clear for years now, YEARS, that jews do not matter to ultra leftist black goyim. we are not human to them—we are scapegoats for their problems. the group they can shit on and exclude, which is why we are not included in dei or ethnic studies. but they expect our allyship and unquestioning support. they erase our history, gaslight us, and side with oppressors, but cannot be called out.
idk, the entitlement is truly something. it’s a lot.
at this point, i think “white saviorism” is ingrained in most americans no matter their background. it’s more like “american saviorism” tbh. the american desire to infantilize and step in is strong lol. and it needs to be talked about and worked through by every american no matter their skin color. this american entitlement is also why people view conflicts outside of america through an american lens. it’s a problem in so many ways.
and one of the reasons the ultra left hates israel is because we don’t fit into this narrative anymore. the left actually liked israel until the yom kippur war. once we kept winning and didn’t need to be saved, we were dropped.
sad.
also leftist black non jews (and arabs) are attacking pro palestine jews rn and accusing them of theft and shit on other platforms. i’ll try to do some kind of update at some point. it’s been a whole entire mess.
(i want to add as well: many leftist arabs and pro palestine folks are blaming jews for this unrest too lmao that THEY caused. typical)

I just want to thank you as one Ace smut/NSFW creator to another for existing and making such nice content. I often feel ashamed for making sex related content because of being ace out of some obligation to be sex repulsed and seeing others like myself makes me feel so much less weird
Ahhh thank you sm!!!
Yeah, the double whammy of regular nsfw stigma + not experiencing sexuality the way allo people do is something else. It took me years to come to terms with my orientation, and then years to accept that this is indeed content that interests me the most and that I want to make. In a way, I even think I am MORE fascinated with sexuality for being ace? Asexuality is a huge spectrum, and I very much resent swooping generalizations of the community; especially the way some people try to tie it to the current neopuritanical movement. Aces shouldn't be infantilized, reality shouldn't be sterilized and sexual empowerment means you also have the right to choose if you want to engage at all.

What a rude anon! I’m sorry you have to deal with someone so immature in your comment section.
I am going to co-sign this as an autistic arospec person. While the popular perception of aromaticism is romance-repulsed people who don’t want to date ever (and people like that absolutely do exist), there are also plenty of us that don’t quite fit that mold. As a greyromantic person, I want a romantic partner and do feel romantic attraction, but more rarely that other people. There is no one ace/aro/autistic experience, and hell, not all autistic people are aro/ace/aroace! People who insist that all autistics are aroace because we are childish are committing a double-whammy of bigotry and infantilization against both aroace and autistic people and I wish that it would stop. Autistic people aren’t “too childish” for sex/romance and aroace people aren’t “immature” for being less interested (if at all) in sex and romance than others.
The comment about Tech not caring about Omega concerns me a great deal. He has demonstrated that he loves and cares for her via his actions, but since he doesn’t show affection in a neurotypical manner, people assume that he doesn’t care. It’s giving “my child will never say ‘I love you’!” rant from an Autism Mom™️ energy.
@niobiumao3 I think another thing we need to discuss in the Bad Batch fandom is how we respect people’s interpretations of characters.
This is one example of a comment I got about on one of my stories. Obviously they were too much of a coward to comment from a real username, but it pretty much sums up the majority of hate comments I get.
Tumblr media
People need to realize that having Tech be Aro or Ace or Autistic is literally 3 spectrums. You much know someone who is those three things and acts a certain way but you cannot expert Tech to act that way as well. There are Ace people who enjoy sex. There are Aro people who date. There are autistic people who have relationships. The idea that an autistic person cannot be happy in a relationship or a family is EXTREMELY harmful and ableist, as is assuming that an AroAce person is essentially a celibate robot.
Autistic people show their “passion” for people in a variety of ways. AroAce people show their love and attraction in a variety of ways.
You would not believe how many aroace and/or autistic people I have met who are offended by Tech’s relationship with Phee because Tech is not EXACTLY like them and/or their perceptions of an aroace/autistic person. Then they try to excuse their bigotry by “I just want more representation of people like me.”
For the last time….
IT.IS.A.SPECTRUM!!!!!!
You get representation by having aroace/autistic characters that showcase a variety of the traits from those communities. You cannot expect every person to be just like you or your perceptions of aroace/autistic people.
Thank you for coming to my Tech talk.
-Sincerely, an AroAce Autistic person

I wish more people elsewhere would also talk about JK Rowling’s infantalism of autistic trans men as well. She thinks autistic people are too infantile to decide their gender for themselves. A lot of people when they research autistic people for their fiction privilege the voices of parents of autistic people ovet actual austistic people and treat us like we cannot think for ourselves. And our own ideas about our experiences cannot be trusted.
it makes me so so mad when people decide that because we're autistic we're somehow disconnected from reality and can't be trusted to think for ourselves. especially when it coincides with being trans!
autistic people and trans people both experience that infantilization, being told we just don't understand how things work and shouldn't make our own decisions. it's part of the othering that occurs when you deviate from a percieved (colonial) norm. and then the double whammy of being both? we end up with cis people and neurotypicals trying to walk all over us and tell us we don't deserve any agency in our own damn lives

seeing eiffel's relationship to hera as parental doesn't even rule out shipping them, since they aren't in any way actually related, and it's a pretty well documented phenomenon that women with parental issues often end up dating emotionally immature men who resemble their fathers 😆
that said, being someone who likes hera a lot, i wouldn't want her to be shipped with eiffel anyway, since she would be simultaneously parentified and infantilized in that relationship. she's got less life experience and with the limitation of not having a maneuverable physical body would be dependent on him for many things, but she's still a near-omniscient AI (she is literally a mother program) who basically controls all the humans' vital functions, so you get the double whammy of a younger woman having to literally parent her SO and unless eiffel grows up real fast, he's years away from being a good partner to hera.
also yeah, it's REAL weird to cast hera as the only female character who is openly emotional and disabled. i mean, it's pretty obvious why someone would literally forget that specifically lovelace also struggles with addiction and disability, but... well. we know why
I was contemplating a reply to this post I saw in the tags late last night (it seems to have been deleted since then? that's a shame) that was kinda related to the thoughts I was having on the multiple angles one could take on Hera and Eiffel's relationship could take, so since that post is gone I figured I'd rewrite the thoughts into a new post.
So the post was specifically against the idea of Hera and Eiffel having a relationship with a parental dynamic on the basis of that would mean treating Hera like a child. But honestly? Hera isn't a child, but she's clearly not as accustomed to adulthood as her peers. Yeah, she's coded as an adult dealing with pretty adult matters - but it matters that she's an AI, that she's young, that she's the only character who's primary issues revolve around her relationship with a parental figure - Pryce, her creator, who in human terms would be her biological mother.
Every other character is dealing with issues that are more firmly settled into adult life. Eiffel struggles with his guilt about hurting his daughter and his alcoholism. Minkowski struggles with command and her lack of faith in her own leadership skills. Lovelace struggles with survivor's guilt after being the leader of a mission doomed to fail. and so on, and so on, and so on. only Hera struggles with something straight out of young adult life, the period in which a young person is still reliant on parental figures.
I don't think Hera and Eiffel's relationship has to be parental but there's some pretty clear throughlines for why someone would see their relationship, with their arcs in mind, as being parental - Hera as a young woman seeking to establish, making connections and seeking boundaries and guidance, Eiffel as someone who has pretty much permanently lost contact with his daughter, identifying the struggles of a young woman with striking parallels to Ann, right down to the TBI inflicted by a man with responsibility over her.
(adult women do often have fathers! and those fathers do often interact with them in a vastly different way than they do when that daughter is a child... which would be why people can see Eiffel as having a parental relationship with an adult woman.)
also, as an aside - it WAS pretty strange to see Hera cast as the only openly emotional female character in the show, let alone the only disabled or neurodivergent one, when Lovelace has all of those characteristics as well, Minkowski would also count as an emotional female character and probably as having mental health issues from all of Goddard, even Maxwell is very openly emotional and can be seen as neurodivergent (30+ hour hyperfocus session anyone?)
