omg I'm so excited, we're *finally* having someone come over next week to get our gas fireplaces working! I CAN'T WAIT TO BE COZY THIS WINTER
#pictures from when we first got the house a year ago & the boomers we bought it from had left all their shit lol#i wanted this done a year ago but it's been A VERY STRESSFUL year & we didn't get around to it but my bf just made the call & scheduled it#like the upstairs one is probably fine but i don't want to risk turning it on & exploding my house w/out someone looking at it first#also idk how to turn it on neither of us have had a gas fireplace before lol. i had a wood burning one growing up but my dad did everything#the basement one has had the insert ripped out for some reason b/c lord knows what those boomers were planning to do with it#so that has to be fixed & they bought some ugly facade (wrapped in teal plastic in the picture) that i do not want to use#but idk about codes like do you HAVE to have something like that? i just want to get a cool looking screen that sits in front of it#anyway I CANNOT WAIT TO GET THESE FIREPLACES GOING IT'S GONNA BE SO GOOD#p
