“Believers, look at what happens when you lose your faith, when you betray your Savior!”

A hand roughly gripped your chin, manicured fingers forcing their way into your mouth and prying it open. Rika peered down, her large doe eyes cold and stoic. At the beckoning of her finger, a hooded figure walked forward and placed a heart shaped vial in her waiting hand. It was filled to the brim with a bright blue liquid. 

“However, we must not hate her, for she is but a lost lamb! A poor misguided child that has been corrupted! But worry not, for I am the shepherd that will guide this poor sinner home. Rejoice, for once she is cleansed, she will repent and we will celebrate her return to the fold. I, the Saviour, will bring her back!”

The crowd gathered around the pedestal broke into a loud cheer as she flipped off the cork and dug her sharp nails into your face, drawing blood. Raising the bottle high for all to see, the crowd suddenly silenced itself, the only noise left being the pounding of your heart echoing in your ears. Rika then leaned in, a soft smile on her face, looking just like the woman in V’s photographs. 

“Yes...once I save you,” she whispered. “Then, Ray will come back and stay back by side. Once I save you...I’ll no longer have to be worried about Ray being...tempted.

She dug her fingers in, her eyes wide and innocently cruel. “You nearly convinced him too. Filled his head with your naive ideas. But that’s what makes you and I so different. I understand that people are weak. That you can’t rule them with kindness alone...Instead...you have to make them fear you...depend on you...that’s the way this world works and it’s the only way you can change this world.”

“You’re wrong,” you tried to say, though your words tripped over Rika’s stabbing fingers. She lifted her brows delicately and tilted her head. 

“Ah, well I’m sure you’ll come to understand once I cleanse you.”

You glared at her with as much force as you could muster before she tipped the vial’s content into your mouth.
