Ok, I have two alternatives, pick which one you like the best.
Reader get picked to tutor Eddie even though they have always been at each other's throat, she thinking he's a drama queen, pissed that the popular people doesn't like him and he thinks she's a stuck up bitch without humor.
So they go back and forth but maybe one day when she's having a bad day and Eddie says something and she starts crying he gets all "what, how, why? What did I do, please don't cry!"
Or, that he catches her reading a romance novel and outwardly she has always just read classics - books that are 'high education'
Request by @somethingvicked 🫶💞 went with the first option 💞
Warnings; Little bit of angst, meanish Eddie, fluff. Accidental kiss.
💌🎀💌🎀
"You've got to be kidding me?" you gawk at Miss O'Donnell who has called you back at the end of class. She's asked you to tutor someone and at first you were all for it.
That's until you found out it was Eddie Munson, Munson who is currently sitting at the back of the class with his feet up on the desk in front of him, he gives you a sarcastic little wave and you turn back to Miss O'Donnell and hope she comes to her senses.
"He needs a tutor if he wants to graduate. You're the best student in the class. It will look wonderful on your college applications that you tutored Mr Munson" shit there was really no getting out of this.
Reluctantly you turn to Eddie who already doesn't like you. In his honest opinion you seemed prissy and stuck up. The two of you spent half your time at each other's throats, it had been like that for so long.
Equally you couldn't stand Eddie either. He was loud, a show off and you were sure he was jealous of the popular people he claimed to hate.
How you would manage to tutor him for weeks on end was anyone's guess. One thing's for sure, you were dreading this.
"Meet me after school tomorrow and we can get started okay?" You say to him already grumpy at having to spend extra time with him. Eddie swings his legs off the desk and smirks, then bows.
"As you wish princess" ugh, you storm out but not before hearing Eddie's laughter.
Asshole.
🎀💌🎀💌
The first week of tutoring Eddie is as horrible as you expected. He's antagonistic, makes no effort and needles at your patience until it's paper thin.
"How can you be expected to graduate if you don't make an effort?" You snap as Eddie strums on his guitar.
"That old bat has it in for me, even when I try my best she still doesn't care" Eddie hisses back and you feel the beginnings of a headache come on.
"You just need to apply yourself better, if you want to graduate then you need to ace this Munson" he glares at you.
"Don't you think I know that? It's easy for you though isn't it princess, since your little miss perfect" the insult flares up your annoyance and you and Eddie devolve into your usual arguments.
"Don't you think I have better things to do then tutor you Munson? So do us both a favour and start paying attention, so we can go our separate ways sooner".
He huffs and places down his guitar with gentle care, grabs his notebook and
"Did you draw these?" you ask curious as you trace your fingers over the images on his notebook. He nods and looks at you like he's expecting you to give him shit.
"They are really good Munson, you could think about applying to an art course after graduation" Eddie scoffs and takes his notebook back.
"Yeah like anyone's going to take me with my grades" his tone is all annoyance and it pisses you off.
"I was only trying to compliment you, why do you have to be so touchy all the time" you look away from him stubbornly, he is silent for a few seconds and when he speaks again his voice is soft.
"I'm sorry, I'm not used to a lot of compliments from people" this softens you as well and you turn to face him and give him a small smile.
"Well you're really good" there's a faint tinge of pink to his cheeks when you say this. He nods and settles back down beside you.
"You know uh, you're pretty good with the whole writing thing, uh shit, you know what I mean" pleased and a little flustered at his compliment you clear your throat and mutter thank you, then get started with the book you and Eddie are reading for class.
🎀💌🎀💌
Today has been the worst day. You overslept, forgot to hand your essay in to your biology teacher, the rain soaked you completely as soon as you left your home and you've been verging on a cold ever since.
So the thought of having to tutor Munson again does not fill you with joy, in all honesty all you want is your bed and to sleep. You couldn't get sick, you had too much to do.
Of course from the moment you meet up with Eddie he's difficult. All because it's Friday and he has a Hellfire meeting.
"I have to set everything up princess, I don't have time to waste here with you" furious you round on him.
"You think that I want to be here? No. I'd rather be at home so sit down and let's get on with this so I don't have to sit with your annoying ass any longer than I have to"
"Well at least I'm not a stuck up bitch with no sense of humour and a permanent stick up my ass"
Eddie's words cut to the bone and you stiffen in response. Don't cry, don't cry you chant to yourself, but you can't help as the tears roll down your cheeks, Eddie's big brown eyes widen in shock as you begin to cry.
Humiliated, you're just about to leave when he steps in front of you. "Wait, what did I do?" The two of you exchanged insults on a daily basis and you had never cried before, Eddie begins to panic as your sobs continue.
"Please don't cry" he says, he hates seeing you cry. Your little whimper stabs at his aching heart and on instinct he reaches over to you and takes your hand, the gesture surprises you both and it dries up your tears.
"I'm sorry, I don't like seeing you cry, please stop" you sniff and wipe the remainder of the tears away, Eddie's hand is still holding yours and it's making you feel things that you never expected.
Eddie gently strokes your hand with his thumb, marvels at the soft skin and how your hand fits perfectly in his own.
Uh, shit. This was new. You smile at him, suddenly seeming shy. His heart skips a beat. Jesus h Christ.
"I didn't mean it" he stumbles over his words and you sigh sadly, peer at him with an expression that tugs at his heart.
"Yes you did" he shakes his head fervently and assured you that he didn't.
"I just snapped back without thinking, I'm sorry" he pleads with you and you hear the sincerity in his voice and calm down a bit.
"I'm sorry too. Today has been so shit, I'm tired and I feel like crap. I just want to sleep" Eddie immediately grabs his notebook and pencil and sits down, he looks to you patiently.
"Let's do half an hour and I'll cram as much as I can in my brain and then I'm going to drive you home okay?" relived you nod but still feel worried.
"Miss O'Donnell won't be happy" you tell him and he shrugs as if he doesn't care one bit.
"Leave the old dragon to me okay princess?" touched at his sweetness you take his hand and squeeze it as a thank you. Surprisingly the half hour passes by cordially and Eddie is still sweet.
Before you know it the half hour has ended and Eddie is true to his word and drives you home. You don't feel much better and your stomach is fluttering like crazy being so close to Eddie.
What the hell was happening? Was this some side effect of the flu? Eddie's big brown eyes meet yours, "Thanks for driving me home Eddie"
He shrugs like it's no big deal and on impulse you reach over to kiss his cheek. The only thing is he moves so you miss completely and end up pressing your lips against his.
His eyes widen and you pull away embarrassed, your heart is racing and your lips are tingling from the kiss. You stammer out an apology but Eddie waves it off, you race out the door and into your house.
All the while Eddie is touching his lips, his own heart is racing a mile a minute and all he can think about is that he really wants to kiss you again.

Steddie grammys au part 2
Part 1
------
Steve is texting Eddie Munson via the private message function on instagram. Because that's just the kinda shit that happens to him now. One day he's at the Grammys doing his job and the next, the lead guitarist/lyricist of a famous rock band is following his instagram account (Dustin and Robin had lost their collective minds) which is full of dorky pictures of him with a group of high schoolers, his cat and Robin. And that one picture of Robin and him at pride, posing with a lesbian and pansexual pride flag respectively.
His follower count has also gone up by couple extra thousands and there are a couple DMs from people he's never heard of, saying some unsavoury things about him. It's all very intense and dramatic. Needless to say, his account is private now.
The thing is, Steve has been flirted with during interviews before, he's a good looking guy and he knows it. It's just never happened with an international rockstar before—then immediately went viral for the entire world to see.
Didn't peg you as a cat person Stevie
Then there is the other thing. Eddie Munson flirting with him in his DMs. Which kinda sorta makes him forget how to be a person. Steve Harrington is nothing if not a people person, always knows the right thing to say. But with Eddie he barely just manages, no sign of the alleged lover boy he had been in his high school years. Eighteen year old Steve would cry if he could see the bland ass conversation he's having about his cat of all things.
I'm not
He just barged into my house one day and refused to leave
Eddie is hot, and rich and famous. Did he mention hot, because he is. Painfully so. Steve will never forget his all black ensemble at the Grammys where he had been standing a foot away from Steve in his bejewelled suit jacket with nothing underneath it.
Point is, Eddie is intimidating. He seems so far away with his rockstar status and the hoards of fans worshipping him like he's their god. What could Eddie Munson possibly want from Steve Harrington?
Would you like to get dinner sometime?
Eddie's latest text is staring up at him like its going to jump out of his phone and attack him. Its too late to ditch and run, Eddie knows Steve has seen it so he needs to come up with a response. Soon. So Steve does the only reasonable thing and barges into Robin's room at ass o'clock in the morning.
"Say yes Dingus!" Robin says, after kicking him in the shin for waking her up.
"But—" she silences him with another well placed kick.
"Listen, no one who just wants to bang you asks you about the shitty retail job you had in high school, Steven. Even if he only wants to sleep with you, you're gonna get a fun night out of it and like bragging rights or something," He supposes she’s right. Eddie did seem very interested in Steve’s personal life. He really did hope it is a date though. If only he has the balls to actually ask him.
"I'd be so jealous of you right now if I liked men, so get out of your head and go have some fun. Now get the fuck out and let me sleep,"
------
Eddie picks an upscale rooftop bar with private seating and a breathtaking view. He's there sitting at the booth half an hour before their scheduled meet up time out of nerves.
Eddie sometimes hates that his public image takes precedence when people meet him. The truth is that he is a little bit of a loner. Never got the point of physical intimacy without a connection no matter how much people tend to think he's the type of person to have a different person warming his bed each night.
It makes dating so hard when the perception of Eddie the rockstar doesn't line up with who Eddie the person really is. Eddie rarely even takes the first step anymore. It took the combined ragging of his entire band for him to even gather the courage to message Steve.
"Hey," a voice greets him from behind.
Steve is here. And Steve is an enigma. An ex high school jock who used to babysit a bunch of middle schoolers. He's so full of delicious contradictions and dry humor and it's impossible not to like him the more he learns about him.
But there’s still the question of what Steve expects of him that Eddie dreads a little. Above all, Eddie just wants Steve to like Eddie the person so badly.
------
“A fire extinguisher,” Eddie’s eyebrows are somewhere up in his bangs.
“Yep,”
“Against an armed robber,”
“I swear I had grey hairs at seventeen because of those kids,” Steve knows how sappy and fond his voice sounds when he talks about the kids. It’s never been something he could help.
The night’s been going a lot better that Steve had expected. Eddie is funny, and dramatic and it’s hard not to feel giddy from the attention he utterly devotes to Steve. They have a nice dinner, and exchange stores over drinks and it’s feels like a real date. Steve can practically hear Robin in his head telling him to stop being such a dingus and overthinking everything.
They go quite for a second, Eddie suspiciously focused on his drink when Steve feels his boot nudge against his shoe. Steve nudges back and soon instigates a game of footsie neither of them acknowledge above the table. It ends with Eddie’s foot trapped between Steve’s ankles and a faint rise of colour in his cheeks as he takes a comically large gulp from his drink. It’s just adorable.
"Can I kiss you?" The words are out of Steve’s mouth before he even realises it. Before he could beat himself up about it, Eddie turns a slightly worrying shade of crimson but he's nodding and thats all Steve needs before he is leaning over the table.
It's nice, it's really fucking sweet and not at all how he had expected Eddie to kiss, but Steve is quickly learning that nothing about Eddie is what it seems like. The kiss is all soft presses of their lips, wet, languid slides of tongue at the seams of his mouth. Steve feels a little dizzy when he pulls away and drops back into his seat, happy grins mirrored in both their faces.
———
Its a couple months after that when Eddie starts trending again. He posts a picture taken by Gareth, post show as he lays on top of Steve on the couch. Steve has his arms around him, lips pressed to his gross, sweaty hair.
Caption says: Happy birthday to my sweetheart <3

Why didn’t you just drive?” “I…don’t know Dustin I just…I saw her name and then next thing I know I’m here and I just…I think I’m going crazy.” “Relax…now just tell me exactly what happened when you saw her.” “Yeah don’t leave anything out.” “That’s what..exactly what happened means Steve…but thanks for the backup.” “Uhm okay well I was standing next to my van and uh…she pulled up in her beetle and got out and I’m not gonna lie I took a look at her uh ya know…backside and then she turned around and looked at me and my world stopped-” “stopped? Like time literally froze or did it move in slow motion?” “Well it kinda went in slow motion and I saw hearts and in my mind it was like….fireworks were going off and then she walked by me and into the shop and that was it.” “That was it?” “What he means is now he’s obsessed and thinks he’s in love.” “Well yeah it sounds like love at first sight.” “What? So that means she knows me so if I knock on her door-” “dude you can not just go knocking on some girl’s door that is a huge red fucking flag.” “Steve’s right that’ll freak her out but you’re also right…she knows you because she told me one time that you drive like shit but she said your name.” “She….knows my name?…what did it sound like when she said it? Did it sound like a song that you could listen to over and over again?” “Don’t ever ask me something like that again Eddie you’re my fucking Dungeon Master for crying out loud…get it together.” “I’m sorry I just…I feel like I’m having a panic attack but I’m happy about it? Like finally I have…something or someone to…live for.” “Can you maybe hold off on her being your reason to live until you actually meet her?” “I agree with Henderson….go on a date first or something.” “How can I go on a date when you two won’t let me knock of her door?” “Wait a minute…if she graduated with you Eddie that means she might know Robin!” “Okay and what’s Robin have to do with my future wife?” “Don’t go planning your marriage yet big boy…I’m just saying we can see if Robin knows her and she can reach out to see if she can give you her number…then you-” “can knock on her door?” “No…you can call her and see if she’d be interested in-” “being with me forever?” “You’re fucking hopeless.” “Don’t be mean to me right now Harrington okay? I just…love her.” “We know you do Eddie and we promise we are gonna try to get you and her in a room together so you can…see if she feels the same…right Steve?” “Yeah…we’re gonna help you man…it’ll be fine just let me talk to Robin.” “Okay…” “until then no stalking or-” “declarations of love I got it man…”

Steve's Rewind
Just an idea I had stewing in my brain, buckle up this is going to get angsty as fuck. Thanks to my discord for helping me with some of the fiddlier details.
Here we go.
The Harrington family were once a clan a powerful magic users, though their bloodline is diluted now they barely have the smallest spark of it left in their blood. It allows them to use the device left to them by their ancestor. Althenea’s Life Spool, or the Spool most of the time.
It allows the user to go back and do over one event at the cost of one year of their life. In addition they remember the previous timeline. It is handed to the eldest child on their 16th birthday.
Usually only members of the Harrington clan remember previous timelines, but when Steve meets El, he finds out that the experiments done to her and the other children make it so she can see the previous timelines, too.
She commends him for the two times he’s used it so far.
The first time was on Nov. 12th, 1983. The night he went to Jonathan’s to apologize about the camera. The first time, he ran. Their screams ringing in his ears as he flees. Only now all the Byers family is dead, along with Nancy and the Mind Flayer breaks through to the surface world, screaming like a banshee.
He doesn’t know what will happen if he runs back into that house, but he knows at least he’ll have tried.
And while it doesn’t work out perfect, he’s pretty satisfied with the results.
On Oct. 31st, 1984 he thinks about using it again, but doesn’t. He doesn’t know what event started the relationship with Nancy to go south. So he leaves it be and silently deals with the broken heart.
On July 5th, 1985. Steve learns that El can see the previous timelines too and asks him to rewind so Hopper lives. Steve tells her about the cost and she turns pale. He asks her if she still wants that and she shakes her head. No. That would not be fair.
Then on Mar. 29th, 1986, she comes to him again. This time it’s all of Hawkins that swings in the balance and he agrees. He was just waiting for her to return so that they could plan out what needed to be changed.
So they hatch out a plan: Give everyone an extra twenty minutes to get into place. Towels in the vents of the trailer. Time for Hopper et al to kill the demogorgon, time for Jason and his cronies to find the Creel House, come up empty and leave, time for El to get into a better place to protect Max. Steve stocks up on flares and torches to bring as much heat as possible to the Vecna fight.
They win, Eddie and Max escape unharmed, Vecna and Upside Down falls. Everything is good for awhile.
Eddie and Steve start dating and they’re really happy. Until Steve arrives to their favorite gay bar a little late because of work and finds Eddie in a corner with another guy and just leaves.
When Eddie stumbles home that night Steve tears into him and threatens to break up with him.
Only Eddie starts crying.
Like full on sobs and the truth comes out, that guy had roofied Eddie and was assaulting him.
Now Steve is devastated and cleans Eddie up, putting him to bed. Then he calls El. Tells her he’s going to rewind the events of that night. And at first she argues against using the device for something so trivial especially one that didn’t end in someone’s death. If he wouldn’t do it for Hopper, what’s so different about this moment.
He reminds her that Hopper is alive, that his being in the Russian prison camp is part of the reason they were able to defeat Vecna and she concedes. Asks again why this is worth a year of his life and he explains that it’s not about his relationship with Eddie. They talked and Eddie already forgave him and said that he would have done the same thing. It might take a bit, but they’ll be fine.
No, the reason Steve wants to do this is because Eddie has suffered so much. Because none of the other Party members got introduced to this shit by watching a nice girl who had done nothing wrong, twisted and torn apart before their eyes.
That the witch hunt and getting off the murder charges had put a dent in Eddie’s confidence. This would destroy it entirely.
This is about a person who deserves a boyfriend who would give up everything for him to show him how loved he is, even at the cost of one year of his life.
El eventually agrees.
Steve goes to the back of the closet and pulls it out. But Eddie finds him, tells him he overheard him talking to El and he won’t let Steve do that. He’s not worth a year of his life.
Steve kisses him gently and explains what it is and what it’s done. Sometimes things work out for the better, sometimes they don’t. But always, always, always the change is worth it to the user. It’s why after nearly five hundred years the Spool has not been used up, because the string is finite, it will run out one day. But each person that has been gifted it knows the change is always worth it.
Once his father rewound cheating on his mother. The demogorgon that killed Barb, killed her instead and the world ended. He hated having to go back rewind that moment, but he knew the consequences of that moment needed an empty house that day.
Eddie sighs in relief. The moment can be rewound. So he puts his trust in Steve. That his boyfriend whose family has had this device for literal centuries knows the cost better than anyone, understands what hes’ doing.
Steve rewinds the moment and they are stronger together for it.
Steve will use it only use it one more time, when the birth of their daughter kills Robin who was their surrogate. They wait a year and everything turns out fine the second time.
Then on Julie Barbara Munson’s 16th birthday, her papa gives her his most precious item. A small spool of red thread.

apparently i started a safe haven baby fic and never finished it? i guess this might be part one of something longer? who knows. safe haven buck/eddie, safe haven baby, adoption, girl dad buck
Buck doesn't mean to become an emergency foster parent. It happens, of all times, during the lawsuit. He’s used to spending most of his days off with Eddie and Chris; playing video games with Chris, helping with homework, or just hanging out with Eddie. Maddie tells him to just get over himself and call Eddie already, but Buck’s not even sure Eddie still wants to be friends with him, or will ever want him around again after their supermarket fight. To stop himself from leaving a pathetic voicemail on Eddie’s phone, Buck goes on a research binge and ends up filing to become an emergency foster carer. Thankfully, Eddie does still want him around and they rebuild their friendship on the existing foundations. It becomes something much more solid, integral to who Buck wants to be as a person, and he almost forgets about his application and the aftermath until Eddie comes around and sees the renovations Buck’s made to the apartment.
“What’s the extra room for?”
Buck almost says DCFS told me I needed an extra bedroom to become a foster parent but instead he blurts out, “For when you and Chris stay over, obviously.”
The expression on Eddie's face makes Buck's throat dry and the subject drops.
Then someone decides to take advantage of the Safe Haven law and leave a baby girl at the station.
Reaching into the box, the alarm finally shutting off thanks to Eddie’s hand on the button, Buck is gentle with the baby as he pulls them free from the basket. He cradles the tiny body in his hands and feels his heart in his throat. “They’re so tiny.”
Eddie nods, brushes his fingers against the top of her head, then unwraps the blankets slightly. “A girl. We should get her checked out, let Cap know. There’s protocols.”
“I know,” Buck says, readjusting the baby and holding her against his body. There's a small birthmark on her cheek and he feels his heart stutter. It's not as vivid as his.
Bobby takes one look at the baby and sighs. “I’ll call social services. They’re going to want to take her—”
The baby grizzles and starts to wake, batting her small first against Buck. She starts to cry, filling her lungs and letting everyone in the vicinity know she’s unhappy. “Hey,” Buck says, rocking her a little, heart breaking at the scrunched up face she’s making. “It’s alright, darling girl. We’ll get some food, yeah? Find you something to eat. Something warm to wrap you in, how about that?”
With a small gurgle, the baby huffs, cries cutting off into hiccups and he rocks her, wanting nothing more than to make her happy. When he looks up, Bobby’s got a contemplative look on his face and Eddie—Eddie looks soft, smile warm, eyes meeting Buck’s without question.
“Cap,” Buck says, just so that he doesn’t have to stare at Eddie anymore, “when you call social services, let them know there’s an emergency foster carer working at the station.”
Bobby raises his eyebrows. “Who?”
“Me.”
There’s paperwork, a lot of phone calls, and someone comes into the station to do the preliminary checks and to have Buck fill out his side of the paperwork, but eventually he’s in place as the foster carer for the tiny baby and it’s only then, with the baby tucked into the crook of his arm, fast asleep after some warm milk, that it hits Buck.
“Fuck,” he whispers softly, then winces. “Oops. Don’t remember that, baby.”
“Not sure she’ll remember this,” Eddie says, sliding into the seat across from Buck’s. “What name did they settle on?”
Buck chews on the inside of his cheek, thumb brushing against the baby’s cheek. “There was no note with the baby, or the form they leave for the mom to fill out. I was thinking maybe Lily.”
The expression on Eddie’s face is unreadable, but the soft smile on his face hasn’t shifted. He leans against the table. “Because of the birthmark?”
Startled, Buck nods. “Kinda looks like one, doesn’t it?”
“A little,” Eddie agrees. They lapse into a comfortable silence, broken only by Lily’s breathing. Buck is fascinated by her face, the tufts of her hair, the small fist curled on top of the blanket. When Eddie starts talking, it takes effort to look away from her. “The extra room,” Eddie starts, “you did that to become a foster carer?”
Buck doesn’t want to have this conversation, but he can’t run away. Not if it means jostling Lily. “It was during the—”
“—Yeah—”
“—I missed Chris,” Buck says, feeling the lump in his throat. “I wanted to call but I—researched instead, I guess, and there’s so many kids, Eddie.”
“I know,” Eddie says, quietly. He looks sad. “Lily’s not one of them.”
Buck feels his heart skip a beat and shakes his head. “She will be, eventually. I can’t keep her forever.”
Eddie hums. “No, maybe not, but right now, you can make all the difference to her.”
“She won’t remember it,” Buck protests. “She’s so young.”
“You underestimate what a little kindness can do,” Eddie says, pushing out of his chair and rounding the table. He rests a hand on Buck’s shoulder, slides it around his neck and into his hair. Buck hardly dares breathe, wondering when their tactile friendship became this. “Think of what she’ll remember with the amount of kindness you can give her.”
The sound of Eddie’s footsteps gradually fade, and Buck’s left alone with Lily. He doesn’t know how to process Eddie’s words, or his mood, so he focuses back on the little girl in his arms. She really is beautiful, and her birthmark blotches out into the shape of a lily. At least, a misshapen one. He runs a thumb over it, wondering if his looked like anything when he was a baby. He doesn’t have the pictures, never will, and he tries not to think of his childhood. Though he can’t help but think of his parents; they're a great example of what not to do with children and he won't be like them.
"She's not yours," Athena's voice warns gently in the back of his head. He knows, he does, but that doesn't stop a feeling settling low in his stomach when he holds Lily, brushes his lips over the crown of her head.
Mine, it says. Mine.
spoiler alert: she does become his!! another little snippet for you:
"What?"
"It makes sense. If you move in, we can rent out your place and we'll have money spare for Lily and Chris both." Eddie feels cold; it's the nerves, right? God, he's such an idiot, what is his mouth saying?
Buck's mouth parts. "Do you mean it?"
"Yeah," Eddie says, not even hesitating. Apparently his mouth is as fed up with his pining as Hen is with hearing it. "It also means we can split shifts if necessary, and Lily's never alone. Carla's here at other times and she's already offered."
Eddie's sure it's not his imagination when Buck looks relieved, his grin wide. "Okay. Yeah, that sounds--wait, is there room?"
"Are you kidding?" Eddie laughs. "You'll share with me and Lily'll stay with us. Where else are you gonna go?"
There's a look on Buck's face Eddie doesn't understand, but before he can figure it out, Buck shrugs, looking pleased. "Then yes. I'll speak to Albert and I'm sure he'll say yes to renting my place."
Eddie lets out a slow breath, watches while Buck moves around the kitchen, getting Lily's bottle ready and the butterflies in his stomach start up a goddamn party. GOD. what is this

I am at the point of truly begging anons to stop sending hate to writers and ruining the ability for people to share their writing and others to get to read and engage with it. It literally just ruins everything for everyone and taints a space that’s supposed to be anything from comfort, escapism, a creative outlet, to hanging out with friends.
truly- what is the goal? what do you get out of pushing writers off the platform and making a fandom have even less engagement? I wish there was a “stop, are you really sure you want to send that message” screen before you could send anons sometimes so bc of that…..
🖤🖤 Eddie Munson Fic Rec List! 🖤🖤
as a reader who gets so much comfort and vital escapism from fanfic I want to just shout out some incredible stories I’ve been following/read lately:
*totally non exhaustive and just what I could remember at work!!* I’m hoping to add more & eventually made a proper list
@munson-blurbs’s “Trapped Under Ice” - truly lovely single dad eddie story that has so much heart and fluff and getting to see Eddie and Ms Sweetheart build their relationship and grow together has been so satisfying and lovely to read
@corroded-hellfire “As You Wish” I can’t even put into words 😩 I’m so down bad for this eddie and this fic and every single time reader gets to gets to spend time with Luke and Ryan and eddie gets even more smitten I melt
@upsidedownwithsteve’s “Simmer”!! I am truly losing my mind over simmer and as a fellow crybaby who just needs that extra comfort sometime, I yearn for Simmer!Eddie. Truly this fic means so much to me and I relate so so much to reader it makes me cry
@pinkrelish “The Yes Policy” - I mean, do I even have to say anything? It’s everything you could ever want and more in an eddie fic and the descriptions and imagery in every chapter my god ♥️🐭
@abibliophobiaa “Daylight” - holy shit I can’t express the itch this fic scratches it’s just the best and an absolute fluffy comfort fest. Lovesick Eddie, Unplanned Pregnancy reader, strangers to friends to lovers, cuddling in bed?? what more can you ask for?? I really love how *spoilers* eddie has accepted his feelings for reader and is just waiting for if/when she decides to go further with him, ball in her court
@sunflowergirl522 - “M’Lady, M’Lord” oh my this was so good and fun to read!! I’m such a sucker for goofy eddie and seeing reader meet him where he is and be playful back is just *chefs kiss*
@ghost-proofbaby - ok so basically anything Ghost has ever written is incredible but my highlights are “24 hours” because of course it is like ?? such a cool concept and the execution was perfection. I haven’t felt like I’m on the edge of my seat week-to-week for a fic in a while and seeing everyone react to each chapter and collectively lose our minds was so fun and something I love about fanfic!! After you’ve read “24 hours,” head on over to “So Scarlet (It was Maroon)” for some angst and pain and then chase it with “Coffee Shop Blues” for cute slice of life at a coffee shop with barista!eddie 🥰
@neonghostlights - “To the Moon & Back” alien eddie!!! I’m loving this series so far and how much fun and tension can be built into the dynamic of alien eddie and reader who have some language/cultural barriers but also like…..eddie gets it 👀👅
@harrywavycurly - there’s truly so much to choose from!! their master list has so much and there’s all kinds of text fics to dip into and a whole universe of Eddie’s! I personally love and am following “Trouble Next Door,” “It Was Just One Night,” and “Eddie’s Wish.” I desperately want TND eddie and reader to just get to smooch and cuddle but uh….I think getting over being cheated on and getting a divorce takes longer than I’d like 🫤
@carolmunson “Orange Coloured Sky” the older!eddie of dreeeeeeams my god 😍 from start to current this story has been so fun to follow and I’m loving the characterisation of this older eddie who is confident and hot but also….such a dork like immediately texting Steve “she said I’m the best she’s ever had 😎” I can’t
@luveline - ok anything and everything Jade has ever written, literally an entire treasure trove of a master list and the obviously heavy hitters are “June Baby!” and the “Eddie and Roan” series for all of the baby fever of reading about eddie and a cute baby but I also wanted to shout out the fic “A Quest for Bed” because it was so gosh darn sweet and fluffy and I love seeing eddie take care of reader once in a while
@trashmouth-richie - again another obvious incredible gorgeous fic “Honey I’m Home,” it’s so so beautiful and heart wrenching and funny and I’m in awe of the compassion and tenderness show towards the characters in this story. I adore HIH with everything but also “Do You Like How the Water Tastes” has been such a fun new story to dig into! I feel like I truly can’t predict what each chapter will be like and I keep being surprised by how Eddie interacts with reader and it makes each new chapter so exciting to read bc I think it’ll go one way and then I’m totally surprised!!

can you do headcannons for mafia!eddie when the baby is born?
sure I'll put what we have right here so enjoy :) feel free to send in anything else you think might add to the lore.
eddie's petrified at first (obv lol) but once he realizes like "oh were having a baby" he goes into planner mode. doesn't even really give himself time to celebrate or experience the pregnancy a lot bc he's on level ten with anxiety. like will wake up in the middle of the night bc he thought of something else and he has to be prepared. he has to have a plan.
you pull him away for a baby moon after he's adamant that the nursery needs to be in the closet and that he's threatened the hospital that they shut down an entire wing for you. it's just the two of you, in a really small cottage out in the middle of absolutely no where. it's not really a destination place but you just want to spend time with him where there's no one else and he can let his guard down for a while.
when baby bea is born, eddie is a fucking disaster of a human being. you go into labor and it's over for him. like he's prepared but he's still a wreck. he's so fucking awful and just anxious and it stresses you out to the point where you yell out him just to get out of your birthing suite. wayne has to pull him to the side and be like "you gotta calm down. everyone's got it covered, just go be in there with her." so he finally does calm bc they do have it covered.
fucking sobs like ugly cries when bea lets out her first cry. like he's been so stressed and anxious and he looks at this teeny tiny baby and is like overwhelmed bc it hits him for the first time that "holy shit that's a baby. I made that. that's literally my child what the fuck."
obviously he's most worried about the dogs and baby bea, but lucky for him they adore her. they sniff her once and like she comes in with you, and they're like "yes this is my baby right here" especially lucifer, he's like bonded to her. will not leave her side. the first time she cried they freaked out and started howling and barking and it was pure chaos.
eddie quickly realizes he prepared for a lot of things, but he has no fucking clue how to change a diaper. max, surprisingly, had been going to classes with you and is like "here dumbass." and shows him.
bea doesn't cry all the time, but when she does she is a wailer. like wakes eddie out of a dead sleep. he's used to not sleeping, but that newborn parent sleep is so different. he keeps trying to show up to meetings and is so tired or all over the place that rick quite literally forces him on a staycation/vacation.
he has the most fun when bea is like six months, because she's started gaining a personality and makes these cute little faces and sounds and it just makes eddie melt.
when she gets older, she goes through a phase where she really wants to be a mermaid, so for her birthday he rents out an aquarium for the day. has those mermaid performers come in, it's so goddam extra and over the top but she wanted it???? the goody bags are insane lol.
that's all I have for rn feel free to add what you would like

meet your new best friend
for @strangerthingsocweek prompt 'party time'
rated t | 1,612 words | cw: mild language | tags: modern au, future fic, the party, dustin/erica getting married, marriage proposal
💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍💍
“So you were friends with them when they were children?” Meg asked everyone in the room.
“I was their babysitter technically. And then they just kinda became friends,” Steve said. “We went through a lot together.”
Meg shared a look with Robin. This was the thing they weren’t allowed to talk about, then.
“Okay. And they had to plan this wedding the day after your biggest show of the tour?” Meg asked. “They can’t move it out an extra day?”
“They’ve had this booked for longer than we’ve had the tour dates. When they tried to move it, the venue threatened to cancel entirely,” Eddie said.
“And I’m guessing another venue is out of the question.”
“Bingo,” Robin said. “If we rent a private plane, we can all get ready on the flight over. We’d land with time to spare, even.”
“You guys do understand this is a big ask. A private plane isn’t cheap, and this is for a personal matter. The publicity team will have to explain why the hell you guys are using a private plane.” Meg sighed. “Why am I even trying to change your minds?”
“You’ll love Erica. She’s a blast,” Gareth smirked.
“That feels like sarcasm. What have I told you about using sarcasm?” Meg pulled her phone from her pocket and sent a text to the only person who wouldn’t give her an immediate no. “So Dustin and Erica are your favorites or what?”
“We don’t have favorites,” Robin said before getting interrupted by Steve.
“Yes. And Eddie and I are both his best men, so we have to be there.”
“I don’t understand why all of you are going,” Meg said as she typed furiously on her phone.
“Gareth’s gonna be the flower girl,” Eddie said, alarmingly serious.
Meg looked up and blinked at Gareth’s very serious face. “You’re joking. You’re fucking with me.”
“Why would we joke about that?” Gareth asked.
“Because you guys joke about everything. You choose this to be serious about?”
Gareth shrugged.
******
They were not, in fact, joking.
Gareth was wearing a suit, but had a tiara on his head as he walked down the aisle with a basket of rose petals, sprinkling them every foot or so.
Meg watched from a middle row, Robin already in tears next to her.
“I cannot actually believe this,” she whispered.
Robin smacked her arm. “Erica bonded with Gareth once Eddie, Jeff, and Freak all graduated. This is important for them.”
Meg rolled her eyes, but smiled when she saw a small boy start walking down the aisle whispering to himself as he carried a box in his hands carefully.
“That’s Lucas and Max’s son. He just turned four and takes this job very serious,” Robin supplied without Meg even having to ask.
“And Lucas is Erica’s older brother?”
“And one of Dustin’s best friends.”
“That must be…awkward.”
Before Robin could respond, the music started and Erica was standing at the beginning of the aisle with her father.
She was beautiful, wearing a ballgown fit for a princess, but with a presence fit for a queen.
Everyone was crying.
Meg turned to look at the guys and saw them all wiping tears themselves. Steve was the worst about it, sniffling loud enough for almost everyone to hear. But it seemed like Erica’s presence was enough of a distraction that no one was bothering to stare at him.
As she walked down the aisle, the photographer snapped pictures from multiple angles while trying to stay out of the way. They were good at it, and Meg leaned over to make a comment when Robin smirked.
“That’s Jonathan, Nancy’s ex-boyfriend. He’s good, right?”
Meg looked at Robin, who had insisted on wearing a sundress for the wedding, her hair wavy from the braids she’d slept in last night to prepare. She was never one for a lot of makeup, but she’d still used some lipstick and mascara for today, and her blue eyes seemed brighter because of it.
She was always beautiful, but today she was glowing.
“Do you think he’d do our wedding?” Meg whispered.
Robin was still staring at Erica as she made it to the front. “Hm?”
“Jonathan. Do you think he’d be willing to do our wedding?”
Robin’s eyes shot to hers. She let out a strangled squeak, which drew attention from the people in front of them and next to Meg.
Meg whispered an apology on her behalf and then everyone sat so the ceremony could start.
“Did you seriously just ask me to marry you at Erica and Dustin’s wedding ceremony?” Robin hissed out of the side of her mouth.
“Not in so many words, but kind of.”
“I almost want to say no just because you couldn’t wait until the reception,” Robin was squeezing her knee so hard, she was certain she’d have fingerprint bruises on her skin.
“But you’re saying yes,” Meg smiled.
“I’m saying yes and to not even look at me until Erica and Dustin have said I do because I will ruin this wedding with my tears,” Robin said before letting go of Meg’s leg and folding her hands in her own lap.
Meg mirrored her, mostly so she wouldn’t lean over and kiss Robin until neither of them could breathe.
As she watched the ceremony, she thought about what it will be like to be sharing vows with Robin, while all their loved ones got to witness how much they loved each other. It hadn’t even really occurred to her how much she wanted that until she’d asked Robin about Jonathan being their photographer.
But now that it was out there, she realized she’d actually been thinking about it for a while, maybe longer than she should have been.
She couldn’t focus on the ceremony, but she knew it had to be perfect because there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.
******
The reception was surprisingly casual after the elegance of the ceremony. Meg immediately ran to the open bar for a rum and coke and grabbed Robin her usual white russian with chocolate syrup drizzled in the glass, not mixed in.
Robin was standing with Nancy and Jeff at a table already, laughing and relaxing into the evening.
Meg came over to hand Robin her drink. Robin took it and chugged it.
Nancy cleared her throat. “Everything okay, Robin?”
“Mhm. I’m great. Meg proposed to me during the ceremony so I felt that was deserved,” Robin said casually.
Nancy coughed. “I’m sorry, what?”
“I sort of accidentally proposed. And Robin said yes even though she wanted to kill me. Which really just kinda seems fitting for our entire relationship,” Meg said.
“Oh my god!” Jeff cheered. “This is amazing! I won the bet.”
“Bet?” Robin glared at him. “What bet?”
“We all had a bet going for who would propose first and when and I said Meg would propose by tomorrow.”
“Unbelievable.”
“Everyone welcome, Mr. Dustin Henderson and Mrs. Erica Sinclair-Henderson!” The room went wild and the discussion was dropped, but Meg knew it would be brought up again later.
The bride and groom made their rounds as everyone settled with drinks and appetizers were brought out. When they made it to Meg’s table, Dustin pulled her and Robin into a hug.
“So glad you could come! Gareth said it would be a close call. Thanks for making it happen,” Dustin said. “This is my wife, Erica.”
Erica rolled her eyes. “He’s said it about 84 times since we stepped into this room.”
“And I’ll say it 84 more, honey,” Dustin teased, pinching her side. “You seen Steve since we all came in here? He owes me a beer.”
“It’s an open bar,” Meg said, monotone.
“Oh, I like her,” Erica said. She reached out a hand to shake Meg’s. “You’re Robin’s girlfriend I’ve heard so much about.”
“Well, as of an hour ago, I’m her fiance.”
“Oh?” Erica glanced over at Robin, who was gesturing wildly towards where Steve had last been seen while Dustin rambled about something. “Bold choice to propose at a wedding.”
“It wasn’t on purpose.”
“Even better. Come on, I need a drink before I finish making the rounds. I’m leaving the worst for last,” Erica tugged on Meg’s arm. “Tell me all about how you keep those idiots from doing stupid shit all the time. They never give me the good stuff.”
“Oh that’s because they’re embarrassed. I can make them do just about anything and they hate it,” Meg laughed. “Watch.” She nodded towards Gareth. “Gareth Emerson, is that a beer in your hand?”
Gareth immediately hid the beer behind his back.
“No!”
Meg turned to Erica with a smirk. “There isn’t even a no drinking rule for them at this wedding.”
“As you were!” Meg called to him.
Erica’s eyes were wide as she looked at Meg. “You’re the coolest person at this wedding besides me. I’m definitely more impressive, though. Watch.”
Erica’s face fell from the smile she’d had to something bordering on murderous.
“Gareth!” Gareth dropped his beer. “Why are there no flowers at my table?”
“I didn’t know you wanted them!” Gareth replied.
“So now that you do, you should probably go put the petals from your basket in there.”
“Yep!”
Gareth rushed to do it and Erica turned to Meg with a smile. “I don’t know how it still works. I haven’t even been demanding like that since before they got famous.”
“You and I could do amazing things together,” Meg said.
Erica wrapped her arm around Meg and started leading her the rest of the way to the bar. “Oh, we have so much to talk about.”

Something Lost, Something Found Chapter 11 preview! 🪱💕
He lasts a day.
The breaking point is when Robin brings him out on the lake the next day.
They're going fishing. Robin’s fitted him out in a silly pair of boots and a lifejacket. She offered him a fisherman’s hat, but Steve just sneered in distaste. Robin ended up wearing it instead.
Steve’s kinda always wanted to row a boat, so he insisted in getting to do that instead of getting the motor up and running. Robin just shrugged and looked on in amusement.
When they’re finally at the right spot, Robin drops down the tiny anchor and helps him lift the oars back inside the boat.
Then she turns to Steve. “There we go. Now. Are you ready to learn?”
He makes a bit of a grimace.
“I don’t know. I'm not sure you can ever be ready for something like this."
Robin laughs at him, shaking her head.
"Oh, Steve, Steve, Steve. We'll make an honest fisherman out of you yet. You just have to get over that first step. Face your fears. Here." She reaches into the big supply bag she brought with them, most likely containing all the fishing supplies — hooks, bait, tools, extra line, you name it, the bag's got it.
Then she takes up a small plastic jar from it and pops the lid off.
"Take the rod." She instructs him.
He takes it, rests the handle on the floor of the boat and leans it towards himself, holding the end where the hook is secured into the bobber.
“Here. Hold your hand out,” Robin says.
He does, and she dumps a worm right into his palm.
Steve stares at it. Watches it wiggle around in his hand like it’s taunting him with its very existence.
He feels like he’s loosing his goddamn mind.
“Steve?” Robin prompts.
It's her tone of voice that does it, the softest bit of concern about him staring at a goddamn worm.
He can't help it. He starts laughing.
A full-blown, hysterical laughing fit.
Over a worm.
Robin stares at him, her large eyes wide and startled, and she slowly moves forward and kinda… scrapes the worm out of his hand back into the jar.
It only makes him laugh harder.
"Steve, you are freaking me out. Are you okay? Are you scared of worms? What's going on?"
He shakes his head in response, not wanting her to worry, but he's having a really difficult time collecting himself here.
"O-okay," Robin says, sounding very uncertain. "Just… get it out of your system. There there." She pats his knee, comforting him like he's crying. He loves her so much.
"I'm sorry," he says, still laughing. He even has to wipe his goddamn eyes. "I'm sorry. It's just… the fucking worm."
"What about the worm?" Robin asks patiently, though he can tell she's kind of freaking out too. It's very unlike him to lose his composure like this, especially over seemingly nothing.
Steve holds a hand up, gesturing for her to wait while he finishes wiping his face with his gross worm hands. Jesus fucking christ.
He finally lets out a deep sigh, laughter all out of his system like Robin encouraged. She's still patting his knee, like she thinks he's upset. Maybe he is, but it's hard to tell.
He meets her gaze. Almost starts laughing again when he sees the terrified look on her face, but he manages to keep it together.
"I'm sorry. Yesterday was… a very worm-themed day," he says.
"What?" Robin asks, sounding downright exasperated. He doesn't blame her.
Steve takes another deep inhale, snickering a little bit still.
"I kissed Eddie."
Robin just stares at him.
Her jaw goes slack, mouth falling wide open.

The Price Of Love II | Steve Harrington x Fem! Reader.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: This shot is narrated from Eddie's point of view, there's a reason for this, but I don't feel it's that relevant to the plot, so I won't give it (yes, I'm lazy to do it, sorry 🫠). Besides that, there is an extra character named Alex, who would be Eddie's girlfriend.
Warnings: This is fiction, I doubt anyone will take it to heart, but I still want to make it clear that nothing that happens here should be taken as an example to follow.
Words: 744
Tumblr media
"Hey, guys," I raised my hand, approaching Steve and Peter. "Sorry I'm late, I stopped by to get gas for my truck," I set my box of product on a small wooden table, wondering if Steve would actually agree to give this 'drug' a try. Since he started dating Y/N he has abstained from any kind of addiction, which makes my job more difficult.
"Don't worry," said Steve with a gentle smile, "we just got here a little while ago anyway".
I nodded, looking at both of them carefully. They had muscular bodies, but not in an exaggerated way, which meant they both worked out. Taking them both down would be tricky, especially Steve, I would have to start with Peter and make an excuse so he wouldn't suspect me of being dangerous.
"By the way, I brought a new product" I opened the box carefully, leaving a small bag with a light blue powder "What do you think if you try it? It will be free, as long as you keep it a secret".
I laughed, discreetly looking at Steve. Maybe if I could distract him for a few minutes I could knock him out and force him to get high, it would be too extreme for my taste, but I didn't have much choice.
"I don't want Y/N to think I'm a drug addict," he shrugged, sitting down on the camping table and resting his backpack on it.
"God, what's wrong with you? It's like she has control over you," Peter walked over to me, throwing a wad of bills at my chest. "She's just a girl, man, why do you care so much?"
I closed my eyes, repeating a useless mantra to keep from going out of my mind. Peter was a jerk, we all knew that, but just breathing his air made me angry.
It was only a few days ago that we met him for the first time. He was glued to the girls the whole time, even touching them inappropriately, Steve was furious, and obviously I was too. That same night I scheduled a meeting so I could finish him off, I knew deep down he deserved it.
"She's not just a girl," Steve growled, clenching his fists, "she's my girl," he said, emphasizing the my, "and I'll do anything to make sure she's happy and safe. Anything".
I looked at both of them, feeling a sudden tension in the air. Peter, who was now holding the baggie with the drug, was standing still, looking a little fearfully at Steve; on the other hand, Steve was firmly gripping his backpack, even his knuckles were white knuckled.
For a moment I thought the inevitable would happen, Steve would beat him up, I would enjoy it, and I could take advantage of his distraction to knock him out, it seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately, the world didn't seem to be on my side that day.
We were all so tense that we didn't realize that someone else had arrived. The three of us turned to look at whoever had pushed Steve, and as if she had been summoned, behind him, shaken and teary-faced, was Y/N.
"Honey, what are you doing here? Are you crying?" Yes, it was a stupid question, but I guess Steve never thinks straight when he's with Y/N. "Who was it?"
Just as I was about to answer, the person I least expected to see showed up. She looked just as beautiful as ever, there was just one detail, she was carrying a damn machete in her hand.
Despite having repeated a couple of years, I'm not as stupid as I look. Connecting dots at this point was child's play. Y/N was running away while crying in the middle of the woods right near our house, while being chased by Alex, who was carrying a machete in his hand, isn't it obvious what was going on?
Still I refused to see the truth, it was impossible for Alex to hurt Y/N, wasn't it? After all she is Alex, my girlfriend, the girl who took care of her brother alone because her mother passed away, who wakes up early just to spoil me, that girl would never hurt anyone, much less her best friend.
"Alex?" Even though I wanted to deny that possibility, I dared to ask, knowing what the answer would be, and knowing that I would love her even if she was like me. "What...?"

This was meant to be a continuation of my Cis!swap Steddie thoughts but I think it's just becoming a fic? Oops
(Ooh) honey honey part 1 They meet properly for the first time through the kids, because of course they do. Hellfire runs late, a rain storm rolls in, and Dustin knows he can call in a favor. Knows that Stevies big sister instincts will kick in the moment he mentions words like "weather hazard", "unsafe road conditions" and "hydroplaning" (though he'd had to explain that last one)
And the moment Eddie hears exactly who's coming to pick them up? yeah she suddenly needs to get home rather urgently- the old van can only manage puddles so deep, you know?
And if maybe she catches a few extra glimpses of Stevies narrow frame shuttling the kids into the Beemer before she turns the ignition, well, she's only human, right?
Of course, that's when old shadowfaxe (the name ironic, of course) decides that she's not having it, actually. The engine huffs, coughs, and wirrs before falling silent. Okay. That's ok, the old girl was always a little temperamental. A good kick to the dashboard, a few choice words, and usually she's right as rain.
Well. The rain might very well be the problem, because the second try levers no better result. The third even worse.
Eddie manages some very choice words about just what the old piece of junk might do better at than being a van, such as a trash can, or small tin of sardines. That's, of course, when the knock on the window comes, scaring her half to death. The shape outside the window is blurry from the rain, but unmistakable, horrifyingly, Stevie Harrington shaped.
Regaining her composure, Eddie rolls down her window, wincing at the high-pitched squeal of the crank. And yeah, its her all right. Grey jacket with neon pink details zipped up over rain-speckled leggings, hood pulled up to cover her hair (only an artful wave has been pulled forward to frame her face, of course. it is now rapidly losing its shape in the pouring rain), golden eyes a little squinting under long lashes of waterproof mascara. She's... Fuck. She looks great.
"Hey, you good?" the Stevie-shaped apparition says, and Eddie nods without thinking, even though she clearly isn't. "Sorry, shado- uh, my van is just being dramatic" she manages, tapping the dashboard, angles for fondly but ends up kind of violent (ow, her hand). "I'm sure she just needs a minute." She adds, with a tense smile, as Stevie leans forward, one hand on the roof of the car like she's cool or something (she is. She is very cool. fuck) Turning the ignition again, she hopes beyond hope that maybe, maybe this is not as bad as it seems. Sends a quick prayer to satan or whatever. It's not like god's been listening, so why the fuck not.
Please please please please she whispers under her breath, incredibly aware of Stevies eyes on her. Like her blasphemy might have been heard, and immediately punished, the van doesn't even bother this time. Just sputters weakly, once, twice, before falling deadly, eerily silent. Fantastic. "Battery might be dead?" Stevie suggests, her voice still even, calm, like she talks to the school freak about car trouble in the middle of a rainstorm on the regular. Unfortunately, she might be right. Did Eddie turn the lights off before she left the car this morning? Fuck, she's not sure. Still not looking up, she bangs her head lightly against the steering wheel with a big sigh, because she's nothing if not dramatic.
Outside the car, Stevie is still leaning in, still looking mildly curious, such a far cry from the Queenly sneer she used to wear, and Eddie... Well, Eddies hair is a mess (thank you humidity), her clothes are half-soaked because its June, and aesthetic be damned, far too hot for her leather jacket. And her makeup? yeah, it sure as hell ain't waterproof. That shit's expensive! She probably looks like a drenched racoon. Or maybe one of those funky red panda things, considering the slow creep of redness across her face.
"So..." Stevie taps the roof of the van, and even the water dripping from her nose looks like an artistic choice "Need a lift?"

So after mentioning over and over the fact that Rody and Izuku are brothers in this universe, have lived together in Otheon, and go to UA together, I figured it was about time I not only draw him but also tell his story in this particular alternative reality, where not only his father lives but he meets Izuku way early on.
Rody's life compared to canon events goes about the same, saving for the fact that his father got to live and never joined Humarise, this simple event being avoided by the fact that he nearly missed his kidnapping attempt when he saw Izuku crying on a bench all alone, thus the two young boys become friends.
Rody and his siblings were in a kid area at the Police station that his father brought Izuku to, Eddie told him that he was going to talk to the officers with Izuku to get in contact with his parents, however, the young boy managed to catch a glimpse of the confrontation between his dad and Izuku's father, as well as Eddie offering his own home for the two to stay over for a while until they had a safer place to go.
The two young boys were pretty awkward, even with Rody mustering up the courage to talk to Izuku and invite him to play games with his two siblings, he wouldn't budge, it left him questioning just what he was doing wrong as most kids got along with him well, why was Izuku different? The answer came from Inko. She revealed to Rody that back home, Izuku had a small group of friends that were tightly knit together, but she felt that the one he missed the most was his best friend, Katsuki, and sadly, the two did not talk much upon arriving at Otheon, another thing that Hisashi had convinced Inko to do, not let Izuku get distracted by anything so he could focus on his studies, including calling who was essentially his only friend at that point, even if she tried to bring that up, her husband would dismiss it as Izuku could just make new friends, even if most of the class seemed to pick on him.
With the new context, Rody got to work, he asked his father if he could get a computer installed in his room for studying, his father questioned him as he was still too young to use a computer without his supervision, and Rody was having a hard time making his point, but thankfully, Pino appeared, and in between the chirping, she manages to say "Izuku" and "friend", Eddie was the one who got the bird part of his son's quirk, so he could understand every noise his son's bird companion was saying. Eddie told him that he could use the birthday money he got from his grandmother, but Rody protested as he was saving for a toy airplane model he saw in a store near their house, and that he was saving up for ages and even did extra chores, Eddie then suggested that he could wait until Christmas to get it, Rody was about to celebrate when he saw Pino looking over his shoulder, Izuku was watching a Japanese cartoon of the Number one Hero, Pino was probably trying to remind him of who this was for, and while he could wait, Deku was... another story, especially given what he has gone through thus far, so he agrees to the first deal and the computer arrives within a week.
Although saddened by not getting the airplane, Rody was happy that Izuku had a method of communication with his friend from overseas, and this secret would go to his grave with him, Rody would smile whenever he could hear the two boys chatting from inside the room. Izuku went out of his way to thank Mr. Soul, but the man quickly corrected the boy that Rody was the one who told him to get it for him, and his mom even added that Rody was going to use that money for something else, leading to one morning, Rody waking up and seeing Izuku helping early with dishes and making the table in the morning, cleaning his bed and doing his homework after lunch, and helping Rody take out the trash in the evening.
As time goes by, Rody signs up for a robotics class after school, gaining some popularity in the class due to his father being an engineer, but makes it clear that he's aiming for a different field, and he hammers that down when he makes a set of armor for Izuku as a final project AND one of the samples to apply for a UA scholarship with Izuku, and both have passed.
Adding to the "weirdness" of this new behavior, was the fact that Izuku would try, although with a lot of struggle, to talk to Rody and his two siblings, and in the attempts to find a common topic to talk about, the two find out that they have a common goal, to go to UA, but for different reasons, Rody wishes to study Support and build not only gadgets but vehicles for heroes, specifically aircraft.
Eventually, that weird behavior gets a explanation, as Izuku comes home with his mother from buying groceries, and the young freckled-boy give Rody his late birthday Present, a toy airplane model, it wasn't the same he was aiming for, however it came with a small book about the collection and fun fact about each item, Rody did his best to hide the tears but Pine was already being snuggled by Izuku for comfort.
Rody spent his first year in Japan doing what he could to learn Japanese, even if English had become a universal language, and finishing his last year of Middle School like Izuku, and both were living under the roof of Recovery Girl, as Deku was her intern, and she did not want to separate the two siblings.
Even way before their parents started dating, and eventually got married, Lala and Roro had already claimed Izuku as a brother, and Rody was not about to argue with his younger siblings, after all, he agreed! Izuku is his brother from another mother, even when that mother becomes his own too.

Steddie a/b/o - Single mom Omega Steve.
TW unplanned pregnancy, shitty boyfriend
Words 1000
Steve who is stared at in the streets, people talk in hushed tones around him and openly shun him because he “went and got himself pregnant”
Steve who’s boyfriend had promised he’d pull out and there was no chance he’d get pregnant if he could just fuck Steve without a condom. And when his boyfriend didn’t pull out in time, knotting them together and almost passing out on top of Steve as he began to panic. The boyfriend who called Steve a slut for getting pregnant and wanted nothing to do with him besides tell Steve to fix it himself.
Steve, who is left to deal with it on his own, as he gets to watch this stupid alpha graduate, go to a good college and marry a “decent” omega.
Steve tries to keep the pregnancy a secret, just keeps telling himself he will work something out he just needs a bit more time. And when it’s too hard to hide the bump under oversized sweaters he has to tell his parents. He is desperately sad and scared and needs help but they just kick him out, he has his car and the clothes he managed to pack into a small bag as his father cursed him out calling him a slut and a whore while his mother couldn’t even look him in the eyes.
Steve has to live in his car while he tries to get enough money to put the down payment on rent at the trailer park. He is scared and lonely, his back aches and he’s desperately tired but he keeps working, saving money when he can. It’s the worst when he needs to decide between fuel for the car or food. He worries continuously about if he’s harming the baby, he’s always so cold, he’s not eating properly and working so many hours.
He will sit in the car rubbing a hand over his stomach, telling the baby that everything will be alright, that he’s got it all under control and they are safe, that the baby is loved, more than it could ever know. And the whole time tears run down his cheeks because in his heart and soul he wishes more than anything that someone would hold him and tell him those same things.
When he has the money to move into a trailer he’s able to relax just a bit, telling the baby “I told you we’d be ok”. They have warmth, even if he can’t afford to heat the place overnight, a roof over their heads will be enough.
When Steve goes into labor he drives himself to the hospital, he has a small bag of items he could afford to take with him, pays for the car to stay in long stay parking and staggers into the emergency.
It’s a girl, placed into his arms at five past midnight and Steve cries as he holds this tiny piece of him in his arms, alone in the hospital room and he can’t help how hard his heart aches at how much he could love someone so much. And he whispers into the thick dusting of black hair “I told you we’d be ok.”
Steve has to go back to work right away, he’s still sore and weak but the bills need to be paid. He has a sitter that is flexible with time and he can just afford it if he cuts back on food for himself. He gets formula for the baby just in case his milk isn’t nutritious enough for her. He keeps slogging on, rocking the baby to sleep at night as he drifts off in the chair by her crib.
The day he meets Eddie he just got off a 12 hour shift, he had to pay the sitter extra money that he didn’t have because his boss wouldn’t let him leave, he picked up take out on the way home unable to even think about standing and making dinner. It’s raining the dirt outside his home has turned to mud and when he’s getting the baby out of the car he drops his dinner, it’s scattered everywhere, there is no rescuing it.
Steve screams “FUCK” and just can’t anymore, with baby tucked against his chest he falls to the mud back against his car and cries. He’s a hiccuping gasping mess, with a baby that won’t stop crying because she’s tired and hungry
Eddie who has seen the Omega coming and going, seen the long hours they work and the exhaustion that is obvious in everything they do. He’s watched them and wanted to say hello, make friends but always been too shy, he pokes his head out the door and sees all this and his heart breaks.
He goes over to Steve, kneels in the mud “Hey, hey, come on now, no use crying over spilt milk, I just put mac and cheese in the microwave how bout you come over.”
“I’m Eddie by the way,” The alpha ducks and laughs since he was offering to feed a stranger, without introduction.
Steve who only recognises Eddie from his dark hair and the glimpses he’s seen through the curtains, who is so exhausted and the alpha scents good, and he’s offering food which honestly he’s so fucking hungry so he takes the offered hand but winces when he gets up and his pants are muddy and stuck to his ass. Steve introduces himself and the baby with a sad smile, pushing away the fallen tears from his face
“How about you go in and get changed, see to baby and i’ll bring food over in about 10?” Eddie suggests, and Steve thinks he could fall in love. It feels like the first nice thing someone has done for him since he found out he was pregnant so he agrees.
Letting the alpha into his house and into his life was probably the best thing he’s ever done. Life seems to feel lighter with Eddie around. It’s a friendship that blooms slowly into a romance and into the life that Steve had always dreamed for himself. A life filled with love, laughter and family.
Steve rocks in a chair, his feet up and a pillow behind his back, taking the pressure of his aching heavily pregnant body. A toddler is passed out on his chest as Steve whispers into her hair, “I told you we’d be ok,”

Eddie x Henderson!Reader fluff/angst
WC: 3.6k
You help Nancy out in an emergency, it brings back a painful memory, Dustin doesn't bother to read instructions.
Relaxing days with Eddie were far and few between. If it wasn’t school, it was work, a gig, or an exciting date. Your energies fed off of each other, and just hanging out in one of your living rooms watching TV wasn’t stimulating enough.
On the other hand, on rare days where you didn’t get enough sleep the night before, or Eddie looked particularly cuddly, you two could be mistaken as an extension of the blankets that surrounded you.
Today was one of those days. You were raking your fingers through Eddie’s hair while he drifted in and out of sleep. The book in your lap was doing it’s best to lull you out of consciousness, as well, but the bright ringing of the phone took you right back to a state of alertness.
Your body maneuvered to the best of its ability to reach the phone on your bedside table and not disturb Eddie at the same time.
“Hello?” you answered softly, untwisting the wire from where it tangled with the cord of your lamp. Garbled nonsense came through the line, and if it weren’t for Eddie’s weight on top of you you would have shot up, certain imminent danger was on the other line. Different emergencies that could be happening ran through your mind the longer that the person on the other end sobbed their woes to you. “Who is this?” you were finally able to ask.
“Nancy.” That’s why you didn’t recognize the voice; you had never heard her cry before.
“What’s wrong? Do you need us to come get you? Eddie’s here, we can be there in five minutes,” you told her.
“No! Not Eddie. Can you just, can I come by? I need you to come to the drug store with me,” she sniffled, regaining some sense of language.
“Of course,” you nodded, wondering what could be so upsetting that it could simply be fixed by a bar of chocolate or a new magazine.
After ensuring that Nancy was okay to operate a vehicle, you wiggled out from under Eddie and slipped your shoes on. Tires screeched into your driveway, and you had told Nancy you’d meet her outside.
“I’ll be back soon,” you shook Eddie’s shoulder to rise him, not wanting him to wake up confused on why you were gone.
“Huh?” he groaned, a grumpy line between his eyes and hands reaching out for you in an attempt to get you back in the bed.
“I’m just running to the store with Nancy. Stay here, I’ll be back in less than half an hour. Want anything?” you asked.
“No,” he shook his head, but you knew if you returned without a pack of gummy worms he’d be pouting. You kissed his cheek and ran down the stairs, relieved beyond belief that your mom or younger brother weren’t home to interrogate your speed.
The knock on Nancy’s window made her jump, but she rolled it down once she saw it was you. You instructed her to move over to the passenger's seat.
“You shouldn’t have even driven here like this,” you sighed, showing your concern in so many words as you started to drive. You didn’t want to pry or upset her further by asking what was going on. She told you what she needed from you: a companion to the store. No more, no less, until she asked for it.
“Okay, let’s go,” you put the car in park and were ready to rip through the store, collecting whatever Nancy let her eyes linger on for more than a few seconds. Her hand shot out like a bullet and gripped your wrist, keeping you in the driver’s seat.
“What?”
“I can’t go in,” she shook her head. Did she twist an ankle again after too many wine coolers? How would she have driven here if that was it? And would she have been so upset about it? Surely her mother had some extra strength pain relievers in their own bathroom she could have taken.
“But I don’t think I can ask you to go in there for me,” she said, suddenly looking nervous. Another new emotion you were seeing from her for the first time.
“Whatever you need,” you said sternly, urging her to believe you.
A minute later and you had your marching orders. You flitted around the aisles quickly, picking up the singular item Nancy entrusted you to choose, and other things you thought could help salvage the evening.
“Everything go okay?” she asked before you had a chance to shut the door.
“Perfectly,” you nodded, stuffing the bag between yourself and the door so she didn’t need to worry herself about the contents. “Let’s go back to my house, no one is home,” you said, not giving her much room to argue.
Your foot was heavy on the way back, speeding through the streets and possibly wanting to get this over with even sooner than Nancy. Eddie’s van was still outside and her breath picked up, but you assured her he was asleep and wouldn’t even know she was here if she didn’t want him to. She nodded and agreed to follow you inside.
The bag got impossibly lighter when you lifted the pregnancy test out of it once you two were safely locked in the bathroom. After the only part Nancy had to complete on her own was done and her hands washed, you sat beside each other against the bathtub, holding hands.
“I don’t know what happened,” she whispered. “We’re always so careful, and Jonathan’s not even here all that often, it was unthinkable.” You tried to think back to the last time he was in Indiana or Nancy was in California.
“When they visited a few weeks ago-”
“We were safe. Every time,” she assured, and you cringed at the feeling that she thought you were judging her.
“And how late are you?” you asked. Maybe some monthly math would soothe you both.
“I thought I was lucky that I didn’t get my period when he was here on the trip. I never thought about it,” she swallowed loud enough that you could hear it.
“So almost three months,” you sighed, unsure how she was keeping it together. If your period didn’t start within 24 hours of when it was supposed to, you were practically bedridden with worry until it came.
The kitchen timer that you set up dinged with fury, and your eyes snapped to the overturned test on the counter.
“Want me to look?” you asked. She shook her head, the brave face you were so familiar with returning as she stood up and ripped the stick from the counter, not putting off the news.
It was torture, watching her absorb the results, then check the instructions on the back of the box, and then read the pamphlet with the warnings and accuracy data.
“Negative,” she finally breathed out. You leaned forward and hugged her tightly, knocking the breath back into the both of you. For all that you’d been through, this might be the one thing you weren’t able to handle.
“Thank god,” you sighed, rubbing her back. “You’re going to be a great mom, Nance, but not anytime soon, please,” you begged, finally making her smile.
“Definitely not,” she shook her head, dropping the test into the garbage can, happy to get rid of it. The lack of noise in the rest of the house let you know Eddie was still asleep, and Dustin was still out, probably with the younger Wheeler. You were safe to get Nancy out without being questioned.
“You’re welcome to stay,” you told her, but knew she wanted to recover on her own.
“I think I need to call Jonathan,” she sighed. “But thank you, I owe you my life,” she hugged you again and took one last shaky breath before fully regaining her composure.
“Anytime,” you shrugged. “But hopefully never again.” She agreed and flew out of the front door, energy restored.
There was a small part of you that was shocked she was going to tell Jonathan. If it were up to you, Eddie would never have known about your anxieties when you thought there was a slip-up.
A few months ago, you had gone as far as to count the condoms in the box after a party that you barely remembered. Eddie finally asked you if he had done something to make you so upset you jumped out of your skin every time he got near you.
You tearfully confided in him, and he attempted to jump into action, but you pulled him back to reality. All you needed was comfort, a hand to hold, not a birth plan and a baby name book.
The stress, of course, delayed your period, to a point where you refused to pee on a stick at home. The only thing that would calm you down was a blood test.
Cutting out of school early was always reserved for fun things like new movies or CD signings; an afternoon at the clinic was not what you’d consider fun. They wouldn’t let Eddie in the room with you, but you could hear his heart pounding through the walls, almost as loud as yours.
“I’m not leaving your side until we get the results,” he promised, gripping your hand tightly while you walked outside, bandage tugging at your skin like an incessant toddler.
He kept the promise until you walked inside your home and ripped away from him to curl up to your mom on the couch.
“What’s wrong? What happened?” she asked, looking at Eddie for the first time with anything less than kindness.
“Just a rough day,” he promised, not seeing a spot for himself on the other side of you. Your mother’s hand was brushing through your hair and comforting you like he wanted to be doing.
“What did you do?” Dustin shoved past Eddie from behind, somehow fitting in the space between you and the armrest. You elbowed your brother hard and reached out a hand to Eddie, who fell to his knees in front of you.
You fell asleep eventually in between your mom and brother, hand gripping Eddie’s shirt tightly, and woke up with your period and a phone call from the doctor letting you know the test came back negative.
Eddie hadn’t touched you for weeks afterward, both of you too petrified.
So you were shocked that Nancy would say something to Jonathan when he wasn’t here, but understood her needing to share the misery with the other person who would be most affected.
You crawled back into your bed next to Eddie, snaking your arms around him even though it meant you’d lose feeling from underneath his weight.
“Hey,” he woke with a harsh sniff and cloudy eyes. “Everything okay?”
“Oh yeah, fine,” you nodded, nuzzling your face further into his chest. He accepted that as enough, and hugged you close before drifting back into sleep.
By Monday, Nancy was in much higher spirits. The conversation with Jonathan went well, she reported to you, but she had to talk him down from buying a plane ticket or stealing his mother’s car to drive halfway across the country to be with her. He was a good boyfriend, but you had the best.
“And then I thought we could go out to the lake and maybe rent one of those kayaks or something,” Eddie was detailing your weekend plans far in advance, and you knew that they would change a million times before even Wednesday.
It was beautiful outside, and you were eating lunch on the bleachers. They were crowded, some of your classmates even taking to the track and football field so they weren’t trapped inside. Eddie’s band and Dungeons and Dragons group were all there, following him wherever he went. You had convinced Nancy to get out of the dark room for the break, and Robin followed close behind; the only person that seemed to be missing was your brother.
“If it’s going to be this nice out, we’re going to be out all weekend,” you said, the UV rays raising your energy levels despite it being the start of the week.
Eddie smiled and started to respond to you, but his arm fell off of your shoulders when someone bounded up the bleachers and shoved him hard, almost tugging him off of you. Dustin: found.
“What the hell, man?” Eddie asked, catching his balance and sitting back up.
“I’m going to kill you!” he yelled, but his normal teasing tone wasn’t there. He was genuinely mad at Eddie, enough to push him again. Eddie stood up, not to intimidate your brother, but to put a stop to his physical outburst.
“Hey, enough, calm down,” you said.
“Calm down? How am I supposed to calm down when he got my sister pregnant?” The surrounding groups immediately went silent, catching wind of a gossip gold mine.
“What the hell are you talking about? I am not pregnant,” you growled through a clenched jaw and yanked his arm to force him to sit down.
“I saw the test in the bathroom garbage,” he said smugly. You should be shocked that he was more proud to be right than upset that you were supposedly with child.
“A negative test, you little shit,” you bit back, knocking him speechless. The murmuring of your peers started up again, and you immediately were filled with dread, knowing the next few months would contain harsh rumors. Notable voices you hadn’t heard were Eddie’s or Nancy’s.
You turned to them, and Nancy’s face was beet red while Eddie’s was a ghostly white.
“The line was there, though!” your brother, apparently incapable of keeping his voice down even in private conversations.
“One line means negative!” you grabbed his ear and twisted; and teenage boy strength was no match for older sister rage. You brought him close, and promised threats to him. “If you don’t sit down and keep your mouth shut for the rest of the day, I am going to tell all of your friends that three weeks ago you cried after you came home from Hellfire because you couldn’t roll over a 5.” Finally, you released him, and finally, he stopped talking.
“Y/N,” Nancy breathed. You lightly smacked your thighs and stood up.
“Right, glad we got that settled. I’m not pregnant, Dustin’s an idiot, and we need to talk,” you said to Eddie. He dumbly nodded and followed you as you started to descend the bleachers. He still hadn’t said a word since Dustin’s attack.
There were so many emotions swirling around you didn’t quite know what to feel. The anger you felt towards your brother was unending, the relief that Nancy’s privacy was retained was mystifying, and the anxiety of trying to explain it all to Eddie was overwhelming.
You stood before him by the equipment shed, trying to find any area of privacy you could, shaking your hands out and trying to form a sentence. Eddie had his arms folded, curling in on himself a bit. He was looking at his shoes before piercing your eyes with his, staring into your heart.
“What happened?” A simple question. An incredibly complicated answer.
“A lot,” you sighed. “I swear, I wasn’t keeping anything from you that was mine to tell.” You grabbed his hand and pressed it to your heart.
Eddie thought back to your behavior. There hadn’t been even a hint that anything was wrong, not like the last time.
He would never be mad even if you did keep this from him. There was just confusion; why wouldn’t you tell him? Hadn’t he done the right things last time? Were there more scares he wasn’t aware of?
Those questions wouldn’t pass his lips, ever. As far as he was concerned, if you didn’t share with him it was his fault. So while trying to respect your feelings, he was still kind of making it about him. He was a teenage boy, after all.
But then he really thought about it: your behavior and your relationship. You didn’t keep things from each other, even if they were hard to talk about. If you didn’t tell him something, it was for good reason. There was rarely a time in the last few weeks where you weren’t together, though. When could you have slipped away? Your book club was at the same time as Hellfire, and when the two of you weren’t at work you were together. Basically the only time you were apart is when you were sleeping.
Oh.
His widened eyes and suddenly relaxed shoulders clued you in on his knowledge.
“When you went to the store with Nancy the other day,” he sighed, pulling you into his chest and exhaling his stress. “Is she okay?”
“Yeah, she’s going to be fine,” you nodded, slipping your arms around his waist and hugging him tightly. “I’m sorry I didn’t say anything.” His lips pressed a firm kiss on top of your head.
“No, I understand. If it weren’t for your loud-mouth brother I never would have known,” he chuckled, making you laugh in turn. “I have to say, I’m kind of glad that you don’t have to be alone with this, it must have been stressful.”
“Well, you’ll be a rumored father around here for the next few months, so you’ll go through some stress, too,” you teased. “Jesus, he couldn’t have waited until we got home to ask?” you groaned.
“Hmm, wonder where the impatience comes from? Couldn’t be hereditary,” Eddie said, pulling away to give you a look with an arched eyebrow. You squeezed him tighter, relieved from his lifted mood, but needing to hear that you and Nancy had his indiscretion.
“You’re not going to say anything, right?” you asked. “I know it’s not ideal to have people thinking this, but Jonathan’s not here for Nancy and there’s no way she would tell him how bad it is and you know how people are going to talk and-”
“Hey, hey,” Eddie cut you off and gently held your face in his strong hands. “I’m not going to say a thing.” His tone was earnest, and his eyes focused, as if you wouldn’t have believed him any way he said the words.
You nodded and kissed him briefly, sending him chasing after you.
“Okay, we’re at school,” you said, keeping him away with a firm hand.
“People already think I’ve impregnated you, I think they probably know we kiss,” he rolled his eyes.
“Y/N? Eddie?” Nancy came around the side of the small shed hiding you away. The front piece of her hair was pulled straight from anxious hands. “I am so sorry, I never would have thought Dustin would go through your trash.” It was a ridiculous sentence, but she was right. You all should have learned long ago not to put anything past your brother.
“I should have done a better job of taking out the garbage, I’m sorry,” you separated from Eddie and grabbed Nancy’s hands instead.
“Well I’m sorry I slept through the whole ordeal, we could have had us a real juicy rumor on our hands if I drove you two,” Eddie said, trying to lighten the mood, but Nancy kept going.
“I’m going to put a stop to any talk, and write a piece about how teen pregnancies-”
“Nance, no,” you shook your head. “The important thing is that no one is actually pregnant,” you reminded her. She nodded and let out the breath she was holding in.
“I can’t thank you enough,” she said, hugging you tightly.
“I’ve been there,” you said softly. You didn't plan on telling her, but it wasn’t some sort of secret. Even if it was, she wouldn’t say a word.
The rumors truly weren’t terrible, and people had said much worse things about you and Eddie both. Things hadn’t ever been as awkward between you and your brother as they were now, but you refused to even talk to him until he apologized.
Truthfully, the worst of the after effects of his outburst were that the talk wasn’t isolated to school. It was only 48 hours until word got back to your mother and Uncle Wayne, and they sat you down for a stern talking-to. Nancy’s privacy was still your top concern, so you didn’t tell them that it was a huge misunderstanding, you just sat there and took the lecture. Little did they know that you and Eddie had already gone through this and handled it yourselves, and thought through everything they were saying a million times.
“Honey, he was just protecting you,” Eddie tried to reason with you after he was the only one to say goodbye to Dustin while the two of you were on the couch watching TV.
“I don’t care. And I don’t understand how you’re so cool about how he acted towards you,” you said. You were each focusing on the other. Eddie was happy to see that Dustin was looking out for you when he wasn’t in the know, even if it meant rooting through the garbage. And you were pissed that he came for Eddie so hard without talking about it to either of you first. In public, no less!
“Can you imagine how protective he’ll be when we have kids for real?” Eddie asked.
“If he’s even allowed to see them, I haven’t decided yet,” you grumbled, leaning further into Eddie. He laughed and you shook a bit from his jovial movements. Your protectiveness over him was endearing and much appreciated. He had gotten so used to defending himself so fiercely; having you take over so naturally was all the confirmation he needed that you were absolutely perfect for him. And he would do anything to make sure you felt the same.
“I thought people stayed away from me because I look scary, but I actually think it’s because I’ve got you as a guard dog,” he said, rubbing your arm gently.
“I’ll bite, too,” you swore.
“Oh, I know. All of the hickies don’t really help us with the pregnancy allegations, Honey.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Y/n talks out into the break in the woods, it has a few picnic tables where she sees Mike.
"Hey!" Y/n smiles at him with a wave and a jingle of her bracelets. Mike didn't wave or smile back.
"Hey." In a monotonous voice is the only thing he said, "I want to know exactly your friend was talking about."
"Her name is Carmen." Y/n reminds him, "But, she is saying. We should fake date, so you can get the attention of Jane and I can keep cheering."
"Why is cheering that important. All you do is be fake happy and yell things." Y/n rolls her eyes.
"If I don't cheer, I'll loose my scholarship to my dream college." She smiles, "I have perfect grades aside from science and math isn't my strong suit but Will helps me that."
"Why can't Will help you with this?" He asks.
"You're his best friend and don't know he tested out of science this year." She says with an eyebrow raise.
"Why do you know that?" Mike asks.
"I'm friends with Will. I'm also friends with Lucas and Max. You're just not very observant." Y/n smiles at him, going up on the picnic table to sit with him.
"I have a few rules," She tells him, "If we do agree to 'date'." She uses air quotes.
"I have a few conditions, as well." Y/n took out a colorful notebook and she had a pink colored pen with a fluffy end.
"Rule One," She thought for a minute, "You have to come to football games, pep rallies, parties, and things like that."
"Rule One," She thought for a minute, "You have to come to football games, pep rallies, parties, and things like that."
"Rule One," She thought for a minute, "You have to come to football games, pep rallies, parties, and things like that."
"All of them?" He asks.
"Just the home games," She says, "and the parties, just for a few minutes. I don't really like them."
"Why did go to them?"
"It's part of the job, Mike." She shrugs.
"Sounds like a hard job." Y/n rolled her eyes.
"Okay, whatever."
"I'm okay with holding hands and kissing." Mike says and y/n nods.
"Me too," She says, "But let's not be too crazy." She says.
"I don't want to kiss you, Y/l/n. I'm only doing this for Jane."
"I know but you are a boy, aren't you?"
"Last time I checked." He says nothing, "You have to eat lunch with me,"
"We can do a trade off, you sit with me on Tuesdays and Thursdays and I sit with yours, Mondays and Fridays." She rattles off.
"And on Wednesday?"
"We come out here and eat together? And you can help me study." She smiles.
"We study at my house on Sunday afternoon and if you need more help. Saturday evenings will also be open."
"Sounds like a plan,"
"Carmen is the only person who is allowed to know aside from us." Mike says, sternly.
"Of course." She says, "That seems like obvious one."
"Hmm, anymore?"
"We have to go on public dates every Friday?"
"And who's going to pay for those dates?"
"Good point." Y/n frowns, "Well, we have to post each other and just act like a couple in general."
"So that's it?"Mike says, "I just have to post a few times on my story, hold your hand in the hallway, and go to your dumb football games."
"How about, I go to a few of your D&D games with that Eddie Munson guy." It took her a second, "With Hellfire."
"Really?"
"It'll sell the lie a little more, don't you think?"
"Yeah. Did you write all of this down?"
"Yep!" She shows him the rules.
"1. Mike has to go to Y/n's home football games, all the pep rallies, and parties and Y/n will go to Hellfire meetings.
2. PDA is allowed
3. We study on Sunday afternoons and if Y/n needs extra help then Saturday Evenings.
4. Carmen is the only one who knows
5. Post each other."
"Do you agree?" Y/n looks over at him and he nods.
"One more thing?"
"Should I write it down?"
"No," He shook his head, "Just don't fall in love with me."
"Wouldn't dream of it." Y/n says. .
"Do we have a deal?" Mike asks, standing up. Hovering over her and taking out his hand. Y/n stood up on the bench.
"Why do I feel like Ursula is going to come out singing, You Poor Unfortunate Soul."
"Like from The Little Mermaid?"
"Exactly like," Y/n says, going down to the ground, "But yes, Micheal Theodore Wheeler. We have a deal." She slapped her hand on his.
"How-" Mike looked at her, "How did you know my middle name."
"You're going to have work harder to know my secrets, Wheeler."
