I love how self destructive geto is, whether or not he conscious of it. reassuring himself that he’s fine over gojo being sent on missions while he’s alone, lying about being okay and losing weight to gojo, that bit in the fan book about repeatedly affirming his genocidal ideals to himself every day until his personality morphs into what we see before his death. then everything with his plans in jjk 0. the whole ‘choosing his way of life and giving it his all’ really dictated everything he did after hidden inventory and eventually led to his inevitable death. it’s even more fascinating after seeing his potential that kenjaku brought out after possessing his body. that descent into villainy felt so preventable— it’s sad when understanding how everything in his personal life and jujutsu society affected geto to this degree, and frustrating to see him pushing those twisted ideals and destruction until the very end
