I actually like the theory that the single is called USA. Based off Showtime it looks like he's wrote about the last few years and carrying on with music after everything that happened and the album was recorded there like you said. They could be using a US timezone so its not obvious. If they put USA 5pm UK time it would give it away.

I could totally see a new single called USA or even the album name. It was recorded out in LA, Van obviously spent a considerable amount of time out there and it seems to be American-inspired.

Maybe the reference to Eastern Time is just like keeping in with that theme?
