Jason takes a deep breath. He takes a deep breath, in for ten seconds, out for eight, and just takes a minute before looking again. Nope, there’s still the strange quartet of orbs in the box of what should be stolen weapons (What, the government had enough, honestly) that gave his workers the heebie-jeebies.

Which is not the vibe he gets from them. In fact, he’s actually kind of concerned with how much he has to beat the Pit back with how quickly it lurches to latch onto the… Well they’re not gems, and he’s a little wary about touching them at first, but the Pit does seem to settle when he does.

Alright, he can deal with this. It’s not like he has several heads in a duffel bag that needs to be delivered or a tiny assassin child back in his safehouse (Seriously Talia, why was he the preferred babysitter?) or an entire gang in Crime Alley to deal with. It’ll be fine.

…

He would like to curse out his past self, because there’s now four babies in his safehouse that appeared to have fucking hatched from the orbs. Goddamnit.

#meet my parents? well they live on the opposite coast of this country #my sister lives somewhere far away from everyone #not to mention my two siblings at two different far away universities #and my best friends are scattered all over #HIS parents also live crazy far away but also far away from my parents #like we already have to do crazy traveling to see each other let alone everyone else #(it's okay. he's coming to visit my family when I'll be there after christmas #((but not my sister and BIL bc they can't come))#and we just made plans to piggyback off my work trip to visit his parents in april)#and sure. we've videocalled some people together so that's something #(have I mentioned that all I do is talk on the phone?)#and limited amount of weekends and travel funds makes it hard to balance everyone #and HE has limited travel funds and even less travel flexibility than I do #and it's like please I still want to invest in these friendship but I'm also trying to date someone that lives 500 miles away from me #and also like. hi everyone. things are going well. things are getting pretty serious. when are you going to meet him? who's to say #adding a new main character to my life but I can't integrate him with the rest of the main characters

I have a ladybug in my room that made it in to find shelter for the winter. It's been flitting around on my windowsills, and every once in a while I see it pop up again. It's been here for a few days so I think we're roommates at this point... I wouldn't know, I haven't asked it yet.

Today I placed a droplet of water in front of it. It practically scampered over and has been drinking for the last five minutes. I hope it understands I offer free refills.

#on a lovely side note #one of my baby residents colleagues is in rome for 4 months since today #and I am so excited for her #i told her rome is beautiful and she is going to love it #i told her im obsessed with rome and i visit it every time i can #told her to pay attention to every detail from the ground to the rooftops #and I told her this is the best tike to be in rome #because for Christmas Rome gets all sparkly and orange-y #it is really lovely with the fairy lights everywhere #she’s staying at trastevere so I recommended stuff to see and do #i told her Rome is the city of cats and even the coloseum as little doors for cats #so they can come and go as they please #and she sent me a stray cat pic today #saying ‘gatto romano (roman cat)’ and it just put a smile #on my face like that ❤️‍🩹#she’s just lighting in a bottle #together we were the ‘smile team’ for the pneumology ward #last day together she said ‘i love you… you heard that?’#and i heard it and it’s just she’s so so so precious and i hope i get to see her again ❤️‍🩹
