thinking abt the concept of everyone calling Karadec by his surname at work to the point where only the people he's personally close w/ ever actually call him Adam. and now thinking abt that but specifically under the context of Lucia and whatever happened there/how he seems so resigned to the idea that because he loves his job so much he might never be able to hold down a relationship, because his duty will always come first
