reading the profiles of students in one of my schools' Activist Programs™️ and some of these...... are you not embarrassed. "im gay, [insert ethnic minority of choice], second gen, neurodivergent, native new yorker, [further identities]" like. that means nothing to me. What Do You Do. even worse when its like "...and i did an internship at [major corporation's obligatory "social justice" foundation]" so unserious

#so much of self-proclaimed activist culture is thinly veiled narcissism #im applying to this program so i can get work at a women's organization (it's otherwise so difficult to get assignments youre actually #capable of) but now i dont wanna do it because of the personality fixation! wjy do i accepted ppl need to submit a pic and profile!
