"I made something special for you!" Sakura presented her young guardian with a cloth-wrapped parcel. Within was a home made bento-- she'd learned how to make them in her travels. There were cute little sausages shaped like octopi and a heart on the rice in a spicy sauce she'd grown fond of.

Since coming to this world and being taken in by Shinra, she was monitored almost constantly. The Princess was a valuable asset. For some reason her magic scaled off the charts-- and that feather they'd found, the one she insisted was hers.

It gave off enough power to fuel the city for decades. The scientists surmised she was linked to the Promised Land, and thus she was under their guardianship.

Sakura, for her part, was a docile captive. She'd grown rather fond of the boy who guarded her whenever she was allowed time outdoors. She couldn't help but feel protective of him-- she was reminded of-- someone she'd spent her childhood with and was fond of.

Unfortunately, she couldn't see his face. A price paid for ferry across these various worlds.
