Invincible is good when it doesn't feel like a slightly more mature version of like, Young Justice or something but sadly most of the time it feels like a slightly more mature version of Young Justice or something

#so like. that universe where Mark sided with Omniman seems interesting but the actual superhero shit is boring to me #idk i love a deconstruction of superheroes and invincible is like. every once in awhile tilting towards that #like 'look atom eve is quitting being a superhero to ACTUALLY do stuff that matters' 'look this superhero is a bad person'#but more often than not Invincible feels very much like a DC animated series with the 'superman is evil' dark spin #like what's the point of making all these expies of DC characters but then making it pretty straightforwardly the same basic thing #like DC has literally done evil superman
