Sims 3 is still my favourite game (and The Sims had the best vibe) but we make do with what we have.

Titus and Wren Revere

Titus was intended as the first heir to my original start pair, but an unintended tragedy befell his mother like right after his sister’s birth (and the resulting chaos ended with said sister being removed) so it rapidly switched to Titus being more like the founder and his father, Tristan (and Tristan’s emergency-called-in older brother Justin) being relegated to backstory character.

Titus was attacked by a werewolf in his youth, and in life he was the second in command of the Moonwood collective. He and Wren had a whopping forty-two children spread among eight or ten litters, all of whom they raised in a tiny home named Revere Cottage. Nearly everyone in her life a lycanthrope, Wren became culturally werewolf, and was well liked. She was a passionate conservationist and kept a large sheltered garden to help reduce her family’s footprint.

Their heir was Meadow “Doe” Revere

Here with one of her eldest brothers, Reid, whose claim to fame was singlehandedly giving Titus and Wren thirty-seven of their grandchildren.

Meadow embarked deep into the secrets of Moonwood Mill, and found more than she was expecting. In unearthing a legacy of mooncasting, she traveled to the headwaters of Luna lake’s main tributary and plunged into the crumbling ruins of what remains of the Magic Realm. She became obsessed with wild magic and reconstructing the disciplines of the mooncasters, and her work caught the eye of a Sage, who helped her in her research.

The two had a pair of boys, Elias and Gabriel, who were tainted by the void of the realm and the magical pollution in their parents’ blood. They came out moon-tied, like their forebears, but monstrous and bloodthirsty. In realising what had happened, Doe abandoned them with a pair of vampires and her only dormant wolf sister for appropriate care and safekeeping from her family. She had already been rapidly approaching arcane insanity before this, and afterward all her family members report she ran into the woods and turned herself into a tree, under which they dug winding catacombs.

⇴Iris loved books and the quiet of the library, it was calming to her. She didn’t have anyone trying to interact with her and she could go on many adventures, imagining herself as the characters she read about. Feeling the joys of the romances, the heartbreak of the tragedies, the fear of the horrors. She loved reading plays, making different expressions as she read in hope of capturing that emotion as she did. Iris loved the theatre too but there was no place for her there, nothing on stage unless it was ballet. Maybe that was why she danced, so she could at least perform.

⇴Iris jumped as she heard someone coming up to the loft she would read in. It was a cozy space with pillows and overflowing chairs, a perfect place to drift off to fantasy and live in a world free of real world suffering. She set her book and looked over it, surprised to see a familiar face take the seat across from her. She gave him a smile, it was her brother, Bernard. Some called him her twin since they were so similar in appearance and only minutes apart. But they were just the oldest of their litter, they were wolves. Of course, they looked like normal humans, but they could change into majestic wolves.

⇴”Reading anything interesting?” Bernard asked with a bit of a chuckle, knowing his sister was always reading. Always thinking but he knew her thoughts and voice were trapped inside her own head and reading helped. 

⇴Iris gave a shake of her head, ‘More romance today,’ she signed to him as she picked up her book, ‘You should give it a try, you may like it’ she added with a smile, teasing him. They were so different, at least when compared to what they enjoyed, he played hockey and rugby, she danced and enjoyed books. 

⇴“I’ll keep that in mind,” Bernard laughed. “Don’t you ever get lonely up here, all alone?” He asked after a pause, noticing the flicker in her eyes before her gaze dropped.

⇴Iris means ‘rainbow’ and is the goddess of rainbows in Greek mythology. Iris was also a messenger of the gods. It can also refer to the flower, which can be colorful. Her parents chose this name because they felt it would be suitable for her, they like nature names for their pups. She likes her name and wouldn’t change it even if she was given the opportunity.

⇴Celestyna is a Polish name which means ‘heavenly’ and is derived from French and Latin words ‘céleste’ and ‘caelestis’ respectively. Both meaning ‘heavenly’ and ‘of the sky.’Her parents decided to take a word from one of their native languages and apply it as her middle name as well as a name which is light in meaning and romantic. Even though it is difficult to say, Iris does like her middle name and wouldn’t change it as it doesn’t affect her day to day life.

They remind their pups that while the name is religious, it is nothing to be ashamed of and that their last name doesn’t have the same religious meaning as it once did. It does get respect and it a respectable last name so long as the children do not flaunt the religious meaning.

She also likes to go to the woods and parks where there aren’t many people. They are more of a common species, though they are rare in certain parts of the world. The packs are territorial and will attack anyone from a rival pack for any reason.

She struggles with higher pitched howls but because they are often non-vocalization (unlike human sounds), she is able to communicate with the other wolves and having them understand her.

Her hair is very long and she enjoys having it long rather than it being shorter. Her hair does grow quickly so she does like to cut it shorter in the summer and let it grow out. She loves the color of her eyes when they can settle on one shade, she wishes she had beautiful round eyes instead of almond but her eyes are still very pretty. Doctors did try to reverse the damage but it ended up ruining her vocal cords permanently, causing her to go through speech therapy.

⇴For the longest time Iris saw her eyebrows as imperfections as they were big and bushy. People comment to her about them and it makes her self conscious. Her lips aren’t perfect either, they are uneven and her upper lip seems to be thinner than her bottom lip. She uses makeup and tips to make it not as noticable and to make it look as though she has full lips. Iris hates her imperfections but with the encouragement of her mother, she has been able to embrace them.

Ever since she was a pup, she would spend most of the winter out in the snow, rolling around in it. It has always been a season she is happy during.

⇴Iris likes hedgehogs, they are her favorite animal because they are small, shy, and nervous. It’s difficult to get hedgehogs to come out of their shells and she can relate to them. Iris is timid and shy, having a pet like a hedgehog works out well for her. She received a hedgehog for her birthday and she takes very good care of her hedgehog.

⇴Iris enjoys the rain and the feeling of the rain. She feels that it is calming and she enjoys just sitting on the porch and watching/listening to the rain while she sketches or reads under a blanket. Iris likes to go for walks during the rain as well.

Carnations come in many different colors and each of the colors have a different meaning, white is pure and a symbol of good luck, light red is admiration, and dark red is deep love and affection. ⇴Iris’ favorite music is both pop and punk, she listens to a variety of music and she likes both Indila, who is a French pop singer, and Starset, which is more punk and hard rock. She enjoys the variety of music. Indila is more upbeat and dance worthy while Starset is harder and better for her bad moods.

⇴Her favorite snack is a simple one, she loves having a bit of cheddar as a snack. It’s a quick and easy snack for her to prepare, just cutting a few pieces before going about her day.

⇴Acrophobia is the fear of heights. She is terrified of high places such as cliffs or even on a plane. She doesn’t like the prospect of falling down from a high height and would never consider doing anything such as jumping out of an airplane or bungee jumping. It makes her anxious when she is up high and she needs a distraction when she is in something such as a ferris wheel. Iris feels nauseous when she is in high places.

⇴Trypanophobia is the fear of needles and injections. Iris doesn’t like the idea of having blood drawn or having to have an injection, even though she had to get her shots. It often causes her to have a panic attack, having to focus on something else instead of the needle and the shot.

⇴Catagelophobia is the fear of being ridiculed. She is terrified of being mocked and made fun of so the fear of being ridiculed is one that plagues her almost daily. Iris worries she will do something that will make people mock her or think less of her.

⇴Iris hates being late to events or to parties or dances, she doesn’t like being late in general. She doesn’t like people making her late or running late and it will ruin her entire day if she is late.

⇴So her pet peeve of loud noises in quiet spaces mainly refers to sounds that aren’t supposed to be in an area. For example, loud conversations in the library or a phone going off during a movie at the theatre. It annoys her to no end, she is there to enjoy her book or a film so respect the people around you!

⇴Iris love the smell and feel of old books, she loves feeling the pages and the weight of the book. She has a large collection of old books in her room, mainly the classics.

⇴She is rarely furious, it takes Iris a while before she becomes furious. She just knows how to control her emotions and keep them in check rather than exploding at those who aggravate her. If she is furious, she will growl and potentially attack whoever has caused her to grow that angry regardless of the surroundings, even turning into a wolf when she does so.

⇴Iris seldom feels pity for people, this is more due to her not wanting to receive pity from people herself. She wants to assure people that they are strong and while she will comfort people, she will not feel pity for them very often unless the situation calls for such a reaction. Iris likes to encourage people to find their inner strength while giving them some of hers rather than pitying them for their situation.

「 Depression 」

⇴Iris does suffer from depression, mainly because she feels trapped inside of herself with no way to communicate with others. She is often lonely and she tries to assure people around her that she is okay. Depression is a low mood which can last for a long period of time. Someone suffering from depression can feel hopeless, persistent sadness, loss of interest, fatigue, loss of appetite, etc. Iris suffers from two types of depression; major depression, which can result in longer periods of depressive episodes, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder, which occurs close to her menstrual cycle. Both have environmental and even genetic factors which play a role in the likelihood of depression. Iris does take anti-depressants and she doesn’t appear depressed. She doesn’t make it obvious and she doesn’t make a big deal of it either. She tries to just live with it.

「 Mutism 」

⇴Iris suffers from mutism, her type of mutism isn’t a selective type of mutism which is someone choosing not to speak. Her mutism is caused by a traumatic event of being attacked when she was younger. Her mutism is officially called aphonia which is mutism caused by damage to the larynx, aka the voice box. She has tried going through speech therapy but it is very painful for her to try to speak. This affects her life constantly because it makes it difficult for her to communicate and connect with people who don’t know sign language. She does go to speech therapy but she hasn’t made any progress with it. Bernard does try to help her and tries to help bridge the gap in communication.

⇴Iris likes to remain clean and tidy, not liking messes around her. She may have grown up in villages and in the woods but there is an expectation to at least be orderly and clean in order to function in society. ⇴Iris likes eating meat as she is wolves, she prefers to have their steaks cooked rare. She does like vegetables as well, mainly cauliflower, zucchini, broccoli, squashes. One of her favorite meals is ratatouille as well as cassoulet, two French dishes her mother loves to make. The wolf in her prefers meat and fresh meat, but she is able to be omnivores. She is content with their diet and wouldn’t want to change it either.

⇴There is only a certain about of spice she can handle from hot peppers, she can have small amounts of bell peppers or jalapenos but she suffers from a rash and difficulty breathing. She found out about the allergy after having a little bit of habanero pepper with her kielbasa and french bread. She had difficulty breathing and was rushed to the hospital. Her allergy is for the peppers scoring higher on the Scoville heat scale, though she tries to avoid peppers in general. If she does accidentally consume something such as habanero and begins suffering from a severe reaction, she has epinephrine she has to take.

⇴Unlike hot peppers, Iris doesn’t have a severe or life threatening reaction when she has milk on its own. Instead, suffering from intense stomach cramps and constipation. She discovered her allergy after testing different kinds of milk to see the reaction she would get, finding that cow milk was often the main culprit of her stomach pain when she had a glass or bowl of cereal. Because she doesn’t have a severe reaction, usually taking something for stomach aches can help soothe her stomach if she consumes milk.

⇴Even though she is a wolf, her blood type is similar to that of humans. B-positive as a blood type for wolves is more common when compared to humans. It is for this reason that wolves are also able to blend in because they have a similar blood type and it doesn’t raise suspicion if a wolf needs to go to the hospital. It is inherited through the familial line.

⇴Her species as a whole is able to shift between a human form and wolf form, in both forms they have a very keen sense of smell and their noses are very sensitive to scents. They are able to see better as well, primarily in their wolf form compared to their human form. As a human, they only see as a normal human would but their vision is much sharper when they are a wolf. This is shared in the species because it aids them in moving and hunting as a pack. The heightened sense of smell has its drawbacks for the wolves as it sometimes causes them to have an allergic reaction to something they are not actually allergic to, rather it bothers their nose much like when a human sneezes with pollen. Their sight is only as good as a wolf and isn’t stronger than a wolf either. Shape shifting can be unpredictable depending on the age and maturity of the wolf, younger wolves have a habit of being unable to control shifting between human and wolf form.

⇴It may seem like a common thing, someone being disabled by their family members being harmed but it is also due to the strong ties Iris has to her family. Family is a very large part of a wolf’s life and it is to be expected that you protect your family regardless. When she is caught off-guard, either because she is alone or she is focused on something else, it can easily leave her open to being harmed by someone trying to attack her. To remedy this, she has to try to pay more attention to her surroundings, and she often does, unless she is drawing. Manipulating her to use her own doubts about her abilities is another way to disarm her and this is something that most likely won’t change because it is a very sensitive spot for her.

⇴Truda, originally Tomas, is Iris’ younger sister. Truda had dysphoria and went from male to female with the support of her family. Iris and Truda have a decent relationship though each of the pups tend to have their own interests. Truda prefers the louder scenes while Iris prefers quiet spaces. They have a good relationship even though they are more distant.

⇴Dax is a lot like Bernard, trying to mimic him and trying to be a protective brother over his siblings. Dax and Iris get along and they help each other with school work. Dax is interested in learning more about sign language and Iris willingly teaches him what he would like to know about it.

⇴Iris is a strong believer in learning and continuing to learn, so for one of her younger brothers to drop out of school breaks her heart. Zale and Iris have a very strained relationship because of their differing views. They often don’t speak and Zale lives as a lone wolf because he prefers to be on his own rather than with the pack.

⇴Iris was born and raised briefly in Poland. She was a lively child even though she was the smallest of her litter. Iris was a playful and curious child who was free to explore the world around her. It was when she was 4 when she had climbed to the top of a rock formation, losing her balance and falling to the depths below where a rival pack was. She wasn’t too seriously injured when she fell, thankfully, but the encounter which ensued after sealed her fate in which she feels she is a burden.

⇴A wolf from the rival pack had picked up on her scent when she fell and was trying to find a way back. The wolf, thinking it was a trap and her pack was going to attack to try to gain more territory, he attacked her, going for her throat which would be a quick kill in most circumstances. Luckily, her father was out looking for her as it was getting late and hearing her yelp and howl of pain, her being in her pup form, allowed for him and his small search team to rescue her. After being attacked and getting her to shift back to her human form, her father was able to rush her to the hospital where the doctors were able to save her. However, because of how deep the wounds were and how much of her throat had been injured, it had caused her larynx to be permanently damaged.

⇴It was once she recovered from the intense surgery and hospitalization, her family moved to France to be closer to her mother’s family where they believed it would be safer because packs in the area had stronger treaties and trust between them. It was in France where Iris grew up and lived a fairly peaceful life, learning how to dance and play instruments as well as learning ways to communicate. Bernard, being closer to her, learned too so he could help her in any way he could. Their parents had them go to the same primary school so he was able to help her and prevent bullying.

⇴Iris currently attends a secondary school in Scotland. Bernard goes to the same school as her while her siblings remained in France, those who are continuing school are going to a secondary school closer to home. With her brother’s help, she has been able to build up some of her confidence but she focuses more on her hobbies and school work. She still fears that people will ridicule her over her disability and she is terrified of being shunned by those around her.

⇴She does work to make friends and she proves to those around her that she can do anything she sets her mind to. It has given her some respect for her capabilities but she is still very insecure about who she is. Iris also has learned how to have more sass rather than just being idle, she is sarcastic and is developing into her own person. She wants to make her friends and family proud of her accomplishments and sometimes when she presses too hard, she fails herself rather than them. She loves dance and would like to continue to dance but she also wants to become a teacher and teach students sign language.

⇴I created this OC because I really wanted to make a wolf OC. I love supernatural characters and they are fun to make. She is the same way, very fun to make and trying to balance what I wanted in her.

⇴When I first thought of her, I really wanted her to just be a sassy little thing with a bunch of siblings aka littermates. But as I thought about it more, and I got sick to the point I couldn’t speak, that was what inspired me to make her mute. I know that it isn’t a very common thing for an OC character for RPs to be mute because people don’t like it very much but I have had some good interactions with mute characters. She isn’t like all my other characters and she has her own insecurities as well trying to find her own strengths. I want her to be different but relatable and I feel I have achieved that.

⇴I actually got the inspiration for a wolf OC from one of my friends who has two which interact with my two vampires. I wanted to make my own wolf OC and in exchange she was going to make her own vampire. It also helped that I got bronchitis and I couldn’t speak. It wasn’t a story or a song, which is my usual inspiration. It was just myself and those I’m close to that helped inspire this particular OC.
