WIP Wednesday Game

It’s WIP Wednesday, time for a little accountability, sharing your work, and getting a kick in the pants.

Here’s how it works:

In a reblog of this post (so people can find you in the notes) or new thread (w/ rules attached) if you want to play on your own, post up to five (5) filenames of your WIPs; not titles, file names.

Post a snippet from one of them. Snippet must be words you wrote in the last 7 days. We’re posting progress here. If you haven’t made any, go make some and come back to play!

After you’ve posted, people can send you an ask with one of your file names. You must then write 3 sentences in that file. If the filename is one you can't share from (for example, an event or gift fic), write 3 sentences on it anyway, and then 3 more on another to share.

That’s it! You can invite others to join in, or just post. I’ll be searching the reblogs to find people to send asks to!

10 Days Of Seblaine 2024

26 days to go, so without further ado, here's what you need to know:

The Rules

When?

The event runs from Monday, 26th August until 23:59 (of your own timezone) on Wednesday, 4th September 2024.

Who can take part?

Anyone and everyone who shares our love of Seblaine!

What can we submit?

Anything, as long as it is Seblaine-related! Fics, Graphics, Gifs, Gifsets, Videos, Manips, Playlists, Lyrics - anything you like as long as it fits the themes! I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Please remember to use #seblaineworld and #10daysofseblaine2024 within the first five tags, and also put @seblaineworld in your posts, since we all know just how flaky Tumblr can be about tags!

Be sensible and considerate. We are all well aware that not everyone shares our love of Seblaine, and even within our own tiny (but always fierce!) Seblainer Fandom, there are those who don't enjoy mature content, so please ensure you tag everything you submit, appropriately.

Can I cross-post/combine themes?

Yes! You can combine any of the themes that you want. And if your contribution does combine multiple themes, you can post on whichever day you prefer. Just remember, if your contribution covers one or more themes, then properly tag all days, regardless of which day you actually post on.

Do I need to submit something for every day?

Absolutely not. If you want to contribute something for every day, then of course you can, but it's not a requirement at all. I know everyone has busy lives, so just do what you can when you can.

Can I post a WIP or work if it fits the themes, even if I started it weeks/months/years before the Seblaine Week 2024 announcement?

Absolutely! Your Admin has done this before and feels it's a great way to refresh creativity and blow the cobwebs off that piece you just KNOW you'll finish one day, but never quite seem to have the time. So feel free to post anything you've already started - providing it fits one of the themes!

On that note, do remember that the free day is exactly that. A day on which you can write about/create for, any theme you like! Did your favourite theme just narrowly miss out on being in the top 10? If so, here's your chance to do something about it and make a submission using that theme!

When do we start posting?

As soon as it becomes Monday 26th August in your own timezone, post your work to your Tumblr blog, and as mentioned above, please tag it #seblaineworld and #10daysofseblaine2024 then make sure those two are in your first five tags. Please also put @seblaineworld somewhere in your post.

If you're going to be posting your work to another site like AO3 or ff.net, post a properly tagged link on your Tumblr.

A 10 Days Of Seblaine 2024 collection will be added to AO3.

Can I post early?

Sorry, no. 🙃 Tumblr, however, does let you schedule posts so you can schedule the post for the right day, even if you're not going to be around that day. Of course this gets a little harder to navigate if you’re also posting to another site like AO3/ff.net, so if this is going to be a problem, let me know and I'll figure it out.

Can I post late?

Yes! I know how time can occasionally run away from us all, so as long as everything is tagged properly you can post (for example) your day 3 piece on day 7 and that won't be a problem. Everything posted will be reblogged until Friday, September 27th.

You haven't reblogged my work yet!

No problem! Again, because Tumblr can be (very!) erratic, just send me an Ask or message if I haven't reblogged your work within 24 hours of you posting it, and I will get onto it right away.

It's not from a WIP because I finished it yesterday, but I'm proud of it, so: Season 1 AU

“You want to put your money where your mouth is punk?!” Larry shouted, trying to get out of his restraints.

Steve looked him up and down. “You’re on. One on one in the outdoor basketball court. First one to twenty points wins. We need an unbiased ref...” he looked around until he found a black sophomore standing off the side. “You, you tried out for JV this year, right?”

The kid pointed to himself and looked around but Steve nodded. “Yeah, I mean, I didn’t make it, but yeah I play.”

Steve turned to Larry. “That okay with you?”

Larry nodded. “If I win, you quit the team and stop this fucking crusade you’re on.”

The crowd oohed and ahhed.

“And if I win,” Steve said with a knowing smirk, “you stepped down as captain and make me captain instead. And if you lay a single finger on anyone again, and you know what I mean, I’ll be sure to spill every dirty secret you ever uttered in the locker room. Don’t think that I won’t.”

Larry gulped heavily. The sound loud in the now dead silent hallway.

Steve stuck out his hand and Larry eyed it for a moment. He looked up into Steve’s steely gaze, then at the gathered crowd. He shook the offered hand and pumped it once.

“Saturday 10am,” Steve said with a grin. Larry nodded and Steve walked over to the kid who was going to be their ref and slung an arm around his shoulder. “Hey, kid, what’s your name?”

“Patrick,” the kid mumbled shyly.

below the line will be just maybe some shit and an explanation for my post schedule for both accounts. and how i'm doing rn and this account.

ik i'm just reblogging, and retweeting, idk in here but yeah that's the only thing i'll probably do...for now.

i have so much to do at school, practising for our field demo, etc etc, that i have no time to update my stories or even just post anything related to tokyo revengers or anything else that i do post.

for my incorrect 1st gen bd asks, answers will be on hold until i get myself together. i'm answering a quiz right now at 10 in the evening and i haven't had enough sleep. my parents are also starting to see my immune system decreasing. (like i never had a solid immune system since i was born. omg my legs and back hurt.)

ofc, i won't abandon this account. i'll try my best to answer asks, and update love me back, the stage is mine, and house of cards next week. i don't have missing requirements so i mostly have free time from monday to wednesday with my online classes. i'll also try to write some short shinwaka one-shots because i miss them.

my chapter reactions every wednesday for tokyo revengers are mostly posted on my tiktok account. (same @)

again, i'm sorry for not updating my fics and for not sharing some ideas for my otps. i'm also planning to release a new shinwaka and whisper of the heart au series while writing house of cards. i dont know if you know, but it'll be a rerelease of emancipate and a new version with shinwaka as the main ship. there will also be a whisper of the heart version, the original version, but i dont know, let's see what future seiji has planned.

i've been feeling too tired lately from the heat and the never-ending projects, tests, requirements, and practice this month of october so i really have the motivation to do what i really really want. (excellent that i'm so tired during my birth month)

idk, i'm also starting to lose motivation to draw and write, maybe because of my schedule and i'm too tired every day to do so. house of cards love me back's new chapter was also completely rushed as well.

anyways, that's all i have to say. for now, i'm just gonna reblog and try to answer asks as much as i can. meyers, i'm sorry for not answering your ask yet with the shinichirou cover. i'll try to answer it maybe tomorrow? i hope.
