Are there any Ash ships you're not bothered by unlike the other two?

not really, no. the only reason am*urshipping bother me so much is because i think it's got some... issues, pretty bad ones. and both s*togou and am*urshipping are (and p*keshipping too to an extent) are wayyy too common and incredibly one-sided.

that's my major problem, tbh, is that literally any ash ship is one-sided, with the other character having a crush on ash and him being oblivious or even actively not interested in a romantic relationship, but the fandom chooses to interpret anything the other character does or says as them being in a relationship with ash with no regards to how he might feel or respond. it's this sorta toxic idea that, if one person has a crush on another, the other person is now obligated and expected to be in the relationship. that's called amatonormativity, babes! and, as someone who has had multiple ask me out and been put in that really tough position of saying no (and sometimes feeling like i can't say no in order to preserve a friendship), it's a very shitty feeling to see people act as if one character having a crush on another entitles said character to the relationship they want, you know?

sorry, this got into a long rant about how love and romance are handled and portrayed in media and fandoms lol
