Another important note: a lot of the Nazi symbols are appropriated from Norse and Celtic runes and symbols, the way they took the swastika from Buddhism and Hinduism. The most common are: sowilo, othila, algiz, triskelion and Thor’s hammer.
There’s minor differences between the Nazi signs and the authentic ones, so do research! Some pagans might find a rune personal and want to get that tattooed without knowing the white supremacists twisted it.
Remember kids, Nazis don't deserve their kneecaps.
Also if any of these are incorrect pls lemme know
#so it goes without saying that be careful about what runes you tattoo unless you’re prepared to ward off nazis and white supremacists#they appropriated a bunch of stuff so now pagans have to be careful with personal practices#not just Norse and Celtic but Roman and Greek too#resources

Let Go
Part 2 to I Never Stood A Chance, Did I?
Don't really have to read part 1 to read this part However here's the link to part 1: Link!
Jace Wayland/Herondale x Reader
Summary: After Y/N leaves Central City she moved back to the Institute and Jace finally reveals his feelings for her and they start dating. What happens when Team Flash decides to come look for her in Brooklyn and accidentally capture her parabatai, threatening to kill her, unless she tells them where Y/N is. Will she reveal herself to them?
4 Months Ago: "Y/N I know it's only been two months since you got back from Central City but I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date with me" Jace says as I walk into the weapons room. "Clary told me y'all were dating" I tell him as I grab a Seraph blade, semi confused. When I met Clary, she seemed kind of jealous by how close Jace and I were but eventually warmed up to me and we became good friends, not close friends though. "Well she lied, so yes?" he asks, slightly irritated that Clary lied to me. "Yes, tomorrow night" I say and go and train with Izzy, telling her what happened. As I'm walking out of training I bump into Clary, "I don't want to repeat what happened in Central City so please don't hate me but I'm going on a date with Jace. We've been best friends for years and I've always wanted this" I tell her truthfully. "I'm sorry, after what you went through two months ago, I shouldn't have been selfish, ever since I was forced into this world all I did was be selfish, I won't get in between you guys, forgive me" she asked sincerely. I smile at her and we hug, slightly giggling.
Present: "Y/N would you like to go on a date with me to maybe the pizza place on main street?" Jace asked, so many things have been happening with Lilith that we haven't gone on a date in a while. "Sure, usual time?" I asked as I walked into the common room as Alec is talking to Izzy. "Of course" he says kissing me on the cheek and walking towards the Lightwoods as Clary approaches me. "You guys seem happy together" she says smiling. I know this must be hard for her but she's been super supportive of us, something I realized I should've done with Barry and Iris. I wonder how they're all doing. Especially Caitlin, last we saw each other was painful. "Wanna help me get ready for tonight?" I ask and she nods excited. We giggle and walk to my room. A few minutes later Izzy walks in, "you didn't invite me" she pouts giggling. I decided on leather pants, a noodle strap black crop top and some black wedges. I decided not to wear makeup other than red lipstick that Izzy let me borrow. "Have fun" she says "What are you guys going to do" I asked curious. "We're going on a mission, apparently a fast mundane has been asking about shadowhunters so we're going to find him" Clary replies before Izzy says anything. I freeze. Bartholomew. "Go on your date and don't worry about it. We'll take care of it" Izzy says and grabs my hand and leads me to the common room. "I know who it is, please don't go after him. He's looking for me" I tell her quietly. "Who is he" "He's the one that got me killed" I say before Jace walks in. He kisses me and I look at Izzy one last time before we go to our favorite pizza place for a nice night. Not knowing Izzy was going to talk to Barry... alone.
Barry's P.O.V.
We were next to an old abandoned church. It was me, Caitlin, Iris, Cisco and Joe. They wanted to come with me, I had finally managed to ask Caitlin why she didn't want me to search for Y/N's body when she finally told me the truth. Now I'm in Brooklyn, wanting her to come back. After I saved Iris, she started dating Eddie again, that's when I realized the one for me was Y/N. Out of the church came a woman in all black. She had long black hair. I ran and grabbed her, tying her up, there was a chair and Joe made her sit on it. "What do you know about shadowhunters" I asked her, noticing she had the exact same tattoos as Y/N. "Leave" is all she grumbles. "I think she's a shadowhunter" Cisco says excitedly. "Where's Y/N?" "She's better of without you getting her killed. At least here she's loved" she spits out. "Please I'm her best friend" Caitlin begs. The lady laughs, Iris goes and slaps her leaving everyone shocked. "You? Her best friend? I have a rune that begs to differ. Her and I are connected, our souls are as one. If you kill me, you kill a part of her, how's that for best friends" she says. "Find her phone" Joe says. "You won't reach her, her phone is always left at the institute during date night" the mysterious woman says. I feel a pang of jealousy, she's on a date? Joe looks through her contacts, "I feel like we should call Jace or Simon" Cisco says giggling, excited to be meeting nephilim. "This is serious Cisco" Caitlin says, not regretting her choice to tell me the truth. I noticed how the woman's eyes widened when Cisco said the name Jace. "Try Jace" I said serious.
Third P.O.V.
Jace and Y/N were talking when he got a phone call. "It's Izzy" he says answering, putting it on speaker since we were the only two at the pizza place. "This is Barry Allen. We're next to the broken church on main. Give us Y/N and this woman goes unharmed." he says and hung up. "It's Barry" Jace says getting mad, the only ones that knew the whole truth about Central City were Magnus, Jace, Raphael, and Alec, Y/N didn't want Izzy to worry so she never mentioned the details, just the overall that she got shot by a crazy man.
Barry's P.O.V.
"She hates you" the woman, we found out her name is Isabelle, says. "She is my best friend and I will take her home" Caitlin says, proudly. "Again, she's my best friend, my sister, my literal other half. Also Jace won't let her go. And if you think she'll leave with you, you're going to have to get through vampires, werewolves, seelies, warlocks, shadowhunters, and lastly me. Every downworlder and shadowhunter loves her. Like I said, we protect our own here, you just let them die." Isabelle says, I notice Iris, Joe and Cisco suddenly look afraid. "I'm not afraid of monsters" I say, knowing I'll be taking Y/N home, especially once I tell her i love her. "Maybe we should leave" Cisco suddenly squeaks out. "I'm going to agree with Cisco" Joe says but Caitlin answers before I do, "we're not leaving without my best friend."
"Back away from Izzy" I hear a very angry deep voice say. "Hi Alec!" Isabelle says happily and walks up from the chair. I just realize she was untying herself as we talked. "call for backup" he tells her and he points an arrow straight at me. "I'm the fastest man alive, so that won't really work" I say and flash to him and get the arrow then back to my original spot. He immediately has another arrow pointed at me. He's almost as good as Oliver. Almost.
Caitlin's P.O.V.
I notice Isabelle is calling someone, is it Y/N? "We just want Y/N" Iris says and the guy named Alec points the arrow at her. Now I'm starting to get nervous. Suddenly there's some type of portal and 3 guys walk out with a redhead. "Heard you're here for Y/N/N" the palest guy asked, he had some latino features but he was extremely pale. Barry grabs the Isabelle girl and holds her tight. "Let go of her" Alec says and grabs Iris, this is getting extremely dangerous. Suddenly someone walks in and says, "You let her go or I swear to god!" I turn around and it's..
Y/N's P.O.V.
"You let her go or I swear to god!" I say walking in and notice Bartholomew had grabbed my parabati. "You heard her" Barry says to Alec, Raphael starts to laugh. "Y/N-" Caitlin starts as she steps closer to me. "I meant you Bartholomew Henry Allen, don't you dare lay your hands on my best friend" I say ignoring Caitlin, I am furious with her. She promised she wouldn't tell them. "What? Y/n I love you, let's go home, to Central City" Barry says, I sigh and take out my seraph blade, "let go of my best friend" I say getting into a stance, that's when I notice everyone had gotten into their own fighting stance. "Ok, let's just talk this out" Cisco says getting in between me and Barry. "Francisco move before something happens to you." I say looking straight at Barry. "We won't repeat ourselves, let go of Izzy and you can have your mundane back" Alec says, his grip on Iris tightening, she winces but I don't even care. Barry lets go of Izzy, knowing that he may be the fastest man alive but he won't be able to save his entire team. Once Izzy gets to me safely Alec throws Iris back at Barry. Immediately Izzy is standing with her snake out. "What the fuck are you doing here? Couldn't you just stay in Central?" I ask pissed but slightly more calm when Jace stands next to me and holds my hand. "Y/N I love you" Barry says and I can't help but laugh. "You sure didn't love me when you looked into my killer's eyes and told him to spare Iris and not me. You could've saved us both but no, you wanted me dead" I tell him, knowing it was easy to find us because he had made us all get tracking rings so he'd be able to find us. "I didn't know where you were" he said crying trying to get close to me. Jace gets in front of me and Izzy gets ready in case he gets too close, "What about the rings? You gave us rings so you'd find us, you could've saved us both but you wanted to be the hero in her story, not our stories" I say knowing he wanted to save her so she'd fall in love with him. "I made a mistake" is all he whispers. "Y/N-" Caitlin starts. "Don't even speak bitch" Is all I tell her and begin walking away. "Go home Flash. You're not needed here. I see you again and I will kill you, that's a promise" Is all I say and walk into the Portal that Magnus had created, I needed a movie night at the Bane apartment with all my friends, they quickly follow behind, understanding what I wanted.

Fanfic:: Proud of Your Girl
Harlock thought she knew what she was getting into when she went into the past. What she didn't plan for was those most important to her.
In which I take a crazy fan theory by @mathes0n and make it a fic.
Harlock-centric. Takes place during Harpy’s Nest. Minor Thashe. P much fluff
Huge thanks to @wooferdill for betaing!
On AO3
Harlock knew she was crazy. She knew no one thought it could be done. But she had to. She stepped back to admire her work. The gray metal box stood out from the vacant field she had made her work space for the past few months, covering her creation with foliage to camouflage it. Standing at six feet high, gears and wires and who knows what else poked out from the sides, gently being blown by a breeze that threatened to pick up. It had taken years to gather all the materials she needed, test smaller versions of the machine, and finally put it together. It... It wasn't pretty, but if her calculations were correct, it would work. "You're crazy," said a muffled voice.
She tore her gaze away from her creation to look at the bottle on the ground. "And when have I started listening to you?" "Maybe you should start. You might die in there.”
"No we won't." She started to pick up her tools and papers strewn across the grass. “Besides, you already have experience with time magic.” "Yes, but that was because I was sent here by acciden- Wait, what do you mean 'we'? What makes you think I'd ever- put me down!" "What? I can’t hear you. You’re breaking up." She lowered the bottle into the bag.
“Why do I even know you?” was the last thing Harlock heard before turning her attention to the rest of her materials before they blew away in the wind.
Sooner than she wanted, the space before her was clear, leaving only the machine and her bag. She had been waiting for this moment for years. Why was she getting nervous now?
Here goes nothing.
She took a deep breath, stepped into the foreboding box, and shut the door.
The inside was far more complicated, full of lights and buttons and levers that would make an average person’s head explode. She flitted over the controls with years of experience. She sat in the chair she borrowed for a nearby bar and started flicking buttons and levers. Before the box started shaking and powering up, she strapped her backpack in below her seat and powered off her prosthetic.
Better safe than sorry. She had to stretch to reach some buttons with her flesh arm, but she made due. Soon, the machine was vibrating, more lights blinked at her. She held onto the armrests with a death grip
In a couple moments, the box was gone, to the immense confusion of some sheep that passed by.
--- The box reappeared silently in another field just as deserted as the first. The door opened and out tumbled Harlock, who immediately fell onto her hands and knees and threw up.
Vaguely, she could hear her bag loudly grumbling about her weak stomach, but she ignored it, staying low and just breathing. Remembering how solid earth felt, how solid the ground was. She had no idea how long the trip took, but it felt like a lifetime, and the grass was so soft.
When her stomach didn’t feel like it was twisted in knots and clutching onto the grass wasn’t such a novelty, she stood up. The field wasn’t so different from where she had been; more trees here, more flat, but that was about it.
And now it had a big metal box in it.
She walked toward it, grabbing her backpack and powering off the machine. She had no idea where she was, but she needed to keep the box here and kept secret. She didn’t feel like being stranded here, wherever that was.
More grumbles came from her bag as she leaned it against a tree. She ignored it while she covered her creation with tree branches and dirt and whatever she could without destroying it. She’d probably set up shop here, as long as it wasn’t property. Maybe she’d make a proper house, or she could be like her mother and sleep in a tree.
She found herself smiling at the thought of her parents. This entire trip was for them.
A small part of her she didn’t want to admit existed hoped they would be proud. ---
The field was free land, which seemed apt for a town in “Freearch.” She set up shop there, only sleeping in trees when she got too tired to work on a place to live (which was often enough the birds started leaving a branch free for her).
Getting a job was easy enough; her tech was more advanced than anyone in this time period. When signing out the forms to be eligible for jobs, she almost put down “Adventurer,” but stopped herself. That was her parents’ job, that was their specialty; her talents were elsewhere. She filled in “Mercenary.”
Besides, this will probably be the best way to see them.
As irritating as it was, the job offers did not immediately roll in, leaving her stuck doing “exposer” jobs and lots of free time to build in her part of the forest.
And plenty of time for Homunculus to bitch at her.
“Why are we even here?”
Harlock frowned as she nailed in another floorboard. “I wanted to see if I could do it.”
“You- what?” The gray blob was quiet for a blissful minute before breaking it, before shattering the silence. “You mean we nearly died because you wanted to see if you could travel back in time?!”
She shrugged. “Yeah, and now I can make my parents proud.”
“How?”
She grinned. “By speaking their language.”
“What do you even-” It sighed. “Humans are fucking stupid.”
---
As her reputation grew, more jobs came through for her. None of them were particularly interesting, none really sticking out unless it got her a lot of money or a lot of injuries. She was still focused on one specific job. It finally came the day two hooded men met her in town.
Their skin was covered in intricate, purple tattoos and they spoke with a strong accent, but Harlock could understand them perfectly fine. Apparently, no one else would take the job. It had been rumored the women and her fellows had killed countless gods, making no mercenary want to touch that job with a ten foot pole. But gods or not, the pirates were persistent. Aesling needed to be returned home.
When Harlock finished reading the contract, she grinned.
“Good thing I don’t believe in gods. Now where do I sign?”
---
“Is it really them?” homunculus said through the backpack.
“Shush!” Harlock hissed. The group had just entered the forest, five of them, unlike the four she had expected. Had it just been Ashe, Harlock guessed she’d have a much harder time keeping track of them, but Thog trundling behind helped by cracking ever branch in the path apparently.
“Well, I can’t see."
“Well, I wish you couldn’t talk.”
Homunculus harrumphed as Harlock ignored him, focused on the group as Thog and Gregor ran away and Kathradi descended on them.
“I can’t see it, but I’m definitely hearing some stupidity right now,” Homunculus grumbled.
“Shush. We should go on ahead.”
“You just don’t want to fight Kathradi again.”
“They’re really annoying. I don’t know what you want from me.”
Maybe pulling the cork-”
“No.”
She got a long sigh in response as she climbed through the trees. There were traps to set and a bounty to make good on.
---
“Dammit, you’re not the one I wanted.”
Thog looked at her, wide-eyed and shocked, which she couldn’t really fault him for. Her traps were pretty spectacular and had created a real scene beyond the trees.
She was about to go on when there was an explosion and a large mass colliding nearby. Harlock was about to grab Thog when she and the new man made eye contact.
Uncle Markus?
“Oh, hello there!” the horned man said, seeming unfazed by any of the fire or destruction or traps anywhere.
Yeah, that’s Uncle Markus.
“Hey, how you doing?” She bit her cheek to keep from smiling. He looked so… dorky, being this young, with such small horns compared to how he was... in her timeline.
She let Markus blabber on before she grappled onto another tree, Thog in tow.
If there’s anything to get Ashe to me, it’s bound to be kidnapping Thog.
It worked, and she jumped twice before stopping, seemingly not knowing Thog wasn’t her target… and then going to the next tree. It was rather amusing actually, more fun she’s had in awhile.
Then Uncle Markus flew overhead and vanished just as quickly into the ground.
Maybe I’ll actually let them catch up this time.
A few more jumps between trees with her grappling hook and she had put enough distance between her and the group to set her small trap of tying Thog to a tree branch and waiting.
And somehow it worked.
Damn, they are so married.
---
The sixth man was a surprise, but she’d heard her parents talk about a strange man named Rat and this man seemed to fit the bill. “I think I just doomed both of us by giving him that money!” Ashe explained as Rat giggled menacingly.
And that’s why Dad handled the income.
Thankfully, she had multiple runes to take care of the cursed man and get Ashe in the boat.
“Isn’t this nice, just the three of us, on this boat?”
“Wha- wait, three?”
Harlock couldn’t help herself. “I like to keep secrets. Don’t you worry.”
She didn’t notice Uncle Markus conjure the black magic until the boat was half out of the water and she was gripping to Ashe for dear life as Uncle Gregor swam to them. She wasn’t giving up that easy-
-but she couldn’t help getting in a spite match with Ashe while Gregor fruitlessly tried to rescue them from the side.
In her slight panic, she forgot all about her mechanical hand.
“Oh, that’s a good point.” Thanks, Uncle Gregor.
The docks were… messy. Everyone was exhausted, Ashe was furious, the new girl was acting cute, and Rat stared at them from a distance.
Then came the winking.
Gregor started it, innocently enough, but then Ashe and Firi were doing it as well...? Was this some weird form of communication from this time period?
“Hom-Homunculus, what’s going on?”
“Yes… Harlock, what do you want?”
Everyone stared at Homunculus and Harlock hoped it wouldn’t say anything stupid.
It locked eyes with Ashe. “Oh, yes… you.”
Harlock shifted her bag to jostle Homunculus enough to get the message across of “Nothing about the time travel.”
Homunculus distracted them enough that they didn’t restrain her. Surprisingly, they never did restrain her, but maybe that had to do with the gun to Markus’ head. (She made a mental note to give Markus from her timeline something nice). For being the person who kidnapped two people from their group and nearly killed most of them, they were rather civil in negotiating with her. Before it fully hit her what she was doing, she had 27 gold bills on her hands, and the promise of more to keep her on their side.
Then the… “harpy” came through.
She wasn’t expecting to fight alongside the group, but, here she was, asking them to hold off the harpy while she built probably her best impromptu trap ever, ripping it limb from limb. Adrenaline still pumping through her, she barely realized where she was going when she boarded a shadow boat with the rest of the group.
It hit her when Gregor started singing. The entire. Way. To the Nine Shrines Bar.
---
Then there was the walk to the bar, which she passed the time counting her money.
Ooooh hell yeah, 27 gold bills richer. She grinned. Mom and Dad would be proud.
She pocketed the money in her back back, beside Homunculus.
Now, to get the pirates who threatened my mother… once I get off this island.
Her thought was punctuated by Thog slamming down his glass as he loudly told the story to those who hadn’t been there. Everyone was crowded around on table in the otherwise barren bar. As vocally as she complained, it was… nice. Not that she’d ever admit it.
She stood up and sauntered over with Aunt Inien, who didn’t look like she aged a day since when Harlock knew her. Good ol’ Aunt Inien.
She let a small smile slip as she snarked about how drunk Thog had gotten.
Maybe she’d hang around this timeline a bit longer.
Just maybe.
