love when i ask my doctor a specific question about my medication and he replies with not telling here’s a bunch of bullshit i want you to do though
#like king i asked you if symptoms initially improving and then getting worse again was normal with stelara#and if i can still expect improvement with prolonged use. ‘‘i might have to put you on steroids lol’’ is not an answer to that#the question was if the STELARA can still get me into remission on its own.#because i can tell you right now a steroid course has literally never triggered lasting remission for me and it’s not going to now#so if we’re just trying to help me not die while the stelara kicks in that’s one thing#but if the stelara isn’t going to get more effective on its own over time#i really don’t want to waste 8 weeks suffering through another steroid course before switching my longterm meds#like i know that’s probably an insurance requirement that we try it regardless but idk wish he’d be upfront about that with me#like how hard is it to say either ‘‘yeah give it a minute but let’s make sure you don’t die in the meantime’’#or ‘‘yeah there’s NO hope for you queen but you gotta fail another steroid run before cigna will let you try something new’’#health bitching
