the urge to explain to everyone that i'm autistic so i do things they may find weird vs. the urge to never tell anyone ever because they're going to accuse me of lying 🫠
#vent tw#i had to tell my mom + aunt + aunt's fam when i first got my diagnosis and that was! hm!#i told some friends that i was going through with the assessment but never updated them on the results#i only really told my closest internet friends 🫠🫠🫠#it doesn't feel real like it's been a month and it doesn't Feel Real#tbf it took me like. a year to come to terms with my ADHD diagnosis too#this imposter syndrome thing is rough i'm always like 'meh i can handle it its fine i dont want to inconvenience people'#and then later 'god i should have inconvenienced them i'm so fuckijg stupid'#one of the reasons i want to leave my major too is the complete lack of sympathy for disabled people too#like sure there's SOME. like there's acknowledgement that behaviours can be difficult to change for a lot of people#but trying to bring a disabled perspective in is. it's not easy at all#literally in my DISABILITY STUDIES course trying to talk about it and being shut down and redirected#putting semi-pointed arguments in my midterm assignment about how autistic people sometimes struggle with unclear instructions#(semi-pointed because our instructor kept changing what she was saying so i was confused and wrote a 10 page rant about autism for it)#(ended up getting smthg like 60% because i 'didnt connect it back to what we were learning')#(i got an A overall somehow so there's no point in retaking it but i'm still :/ over that course)#(i was so excited for it too)#i think perhaps i'll do my health program assignment on autism#we're supposed to find a community and do a community evaluation#which is difficult honestly. my neighbourhood is heavily residential#(even though my uni is right up the road)#and there's something to be said about the overall lack of support for autistic adults#ooo. oooo i could do that

san - smartie
word count : 844
-
you hear someone knock on the door and get up from the table in your apartment. you go to the door and look through the peephole to see your boyfriend standing outside. you unlock the door and open it.
"hey," you smile and kiss him before letting him inside.
san just grumbles and goes straight for the table. he sits down and immediately thumps his head against the table.
you grin while closing and locking the door. you go over to san and tap his shoulder. "take your backpack off," you say to him. he moves his arms, and you help him take his backpack off, leaving it on the floor. "you okay?" you ask him and sit down next to him.
"just got out of office hours..." san says to you, sounding defeated.
"with who?" you ask.
"my math professor," he mentions and sits up. "i'm failing, but he offered to let me retake some stuff for some credit."
"why are you taking a math class when you're a dance major?" you question your boyfriend.
"baby, i've told you plenty of times that it's required. you've literally looked at all of the classes i have to take," san replies. "can you please help me out? i'll make you dinner."
"you owe me more than dinner," you say to him. "alright, take your stuff out. i'll help you."
you push your things out of the way besides your tablet while san takes out everything he needs. san sets up everything while you look over his shoulder.
"gosh, babe. that's a lot of stuff," you sigh. "i'm going to cook rice first," you say to him. "figure out where we're starting, okay?" you say to him.
"got it," san replies and manages to find the syllabus for the class in the midst of the pages of his notebook.
you go into the kitchen and rinse the rice a few times before turning the rice cooker on. once you're done, you open the fridge and grab an energy drink that san likes to drink. you return to the table and find san already looking confused.
"you look confused," you say to him and put the energy drink on the table. you sit down next to him and look at what he's trying to work on.
"i am confused," san says to you. "this looks nothing like the problems we did here," he says and points to his notebook and the quiz paper.
"okay, let me look," you say to him and lean over. "so for this first one, it looks like you didn't use the right formula," you say and look at his notebook. "wait a minute..." you open the notes app you use for your classes and look through some old notes. you finally find the one you're looking for and show san. "babe, you didn't write the formula right," you inform him.
"huh?"
"see? you forgot this," you say, pointing on your tablet's screen.
san groans, "i probably wrote everything wrong then..." he says to you. "hang on, i'm going to go through the powerpoints again," he says to you.
san starts to work diligently, trying to get at least one quiz done before the night ends. you start working on some assignments but move on to cook dinner for the two of you.
"if you are failing because you wrote the formulas wrong and memorized the wrong ones, i'm gonna call you an idiot for the rest of the year," you say to san.
your boyfriend just groans, "don't do this to me right now, baby..."
you giggle, "i'm sorry. i'm sorry."
"that doesn't sound genuine," he replies.
"can kisses make up for it?" you ask him and bring a bowl to the table. "eat."
san looks up at you, "what happened to me cooking dinner?"
you smile at him, "you haven’t cried for help yet, so i think you’re okay for now," you say to him and kiss his forehead before returning to the kitchen. you bring a bowl of food to the table for yourself and eat with san. "good?"
"mhm," he hums as he takes a break to eat. "really good."
when both of you are done eating, you check san's work that he has done for the first quiz. the paper is littered in red ink, and it's clear that san made many mistakes. however, his corrections in his notebook look correct as you look over his work.
"this one is wrong. you forgot the negative so the answer is wrong," you say to san and point to his mistake.
"oh, you're right," he replies. he takes the paper and adds a negative sign. he fixes the answer and hands his notebook back to you.
you look over his work again, making sure everything is right. "i think you're done with this quiz," you say to him.
"yes!" san cheers.
"now you have more to do!" you say to him, leaving him to groan again. "don't worry, smartie, you got this," you say and kiss his cheek.
"thanks baby."

Prompt: Survive a Syverson. Fluff, domestic.
“Oh no, mama!” You vehemently shake your head at your future mother-in-law as you tiredly put down your plate. “I just had a TON of rice and so much chicken that I couldn't even keep track at one point!” You try pulling it away but she plants a much stronger grip on it. “I can't!”
The older woman waves it away -as always- before she piles your plate with food again. “You're a growing lady,” she always tells you that. “You need to eat!” You whine under your breath.
“I'll never be able to finish all these ribs and mac and cheese!” That is the rule in the Syverson household, everyone finishes their food, always.
You can swear these people eat three times more than any family you have ever seen! Like, you just had dinner and Sy -your share of the lot- is already munching away on something as he stands beside you while leaning against one of the kitchen counters, clad in some cargo shorts and a semi-faded Lynyrd Skynyrd tee.
Mrs. Syverson sighs before putting one sassy hand on her hip -something the Syverson men swear runs in the Syverson women- and raises one of her eyebrows at you.
“You think you can survive a Syverson on some rice and chicken, girl?” Your heart drops and your boyfriend's snicker causes a burst of flames to spread through the entirety of your face, the heat threatening to reach your throat.
“Yeah,” Sy's heavy voice sounds even deeper because of the way he takes a sip of his beer to wash his throat out. “Do you, girl?” Your face and vocal chords are paralyzed in embarrassment as you lower your head and pick up your plate before silently walking back to the table and retaking your seat, defeated.
Sy is so going to repeat this into oblivion!
“That's what I thought!” Mama calls after you before snickering softly but you hear it loud and clear.
You can swear Sy gets his dirty, bold and loud mouth from that woman. His dad and you are their victims. Too bad the two of you love those filthy mouths too much.

Jumping on the bandwagon woo-hoo
no spam reblog or spam comment ;P
For every 100 reblogs I'll drink another bottle of water
Update: Ive drank almost 2 whole water bottles in the last 3 days which isn't much proportionally but for one, I'd probably not even drink one if it wasn't for the internet critters in my phone telling me to and also, yk, thats alot of water compared to my last few weeks getting all my fluids from food
10 reblogs: Go to bed before midnight tonight
50 reblogs: I'll make my bed in the mornings for a week
Update: I found out that my bed being made kinda stresses me out for some reason, it's just so neat I get scared, and so instead I am putting away 3 pieces of clothing that have been clean for months and i just haven't touched every morning :D
75 reblogs: I'll work on getting accommodations for my autism at school
Update: I don't have the required "proof of diagnosis" and I'd have to wait 2 years or so to get it and I won't be in school anymore at that point, so I'm working with my counselors to see what they can do aside from official autism accommodations
125 reblogs: I'll work in upping my failing grade in math
Update: Math test retake on the 12tg, wish me luck!
150 reblogs: I'll work on my dopamine addiction and get help
Update: Hooooooly shit addictions are hard. I'm going to start a timer for time between uses of YouTube shorts or Instagram reels in an effort to reduce my need for instant gratification and try to replace every time I pick my phone up with drawing or reading or talking to people around me.
200 reblogs: I'll post my art that I've been self conscious about posting
Update: I am really happy for this, it's finally an excuse for me to make myself post my art :D it's probably gonna be 1-2 drawings per post with a little background with each :3
300k reblogs: I'll start cleaning up my room
400k reblogs: I'll clean out my bag (God pls don't get to 400 yall T T)
500: I'll get sharp objects out of my room
1k reblogs: I'll be really happy :0
Edit; Added more goals
2k reblogs: I'll start streaming on twitch again!!!
3k reblogs: I'll empty out my drafts
5k: I come out as trans to my parents (I don't know if they're transphobic so to speak, but they are of the mindset that "do whatever you want once you're out of our house but until then you are our kid" but I wanna be like um no actually-)
5.5k: I come out as trans to my non-transphobic grandma
6k: I come out as trans to my transphobic grandma
Edit 2; Yo same picture of the earth reblogged me?!? the picverse found this?!?! that's insane xd
Edit 4; I added some coming out goals because I'm not gonna do it if I don't have the pressure from hundreds of little things in my phone cheering me on xd
Pinging moots so there's at least a small chance of any of these happening xd

A Future With You
Luke Hughes x oc
"Okay, but do we really need a second bedroom?" Luke asks, his arms wrapped around my body as I lean against his chest, the laptop rested on my thighs as we search for apartments, thinking a lot lately about when I graduate from Michigan and get to finally move to Jersey.
"Where will your brother's stay if we don't have a second room?"
"On the couch?" Lu supplies as if it should have been clear. "Or Jack can stay at his own apartment and Quinn can stay with him."
"And your parents?"
"We'll book them a hotel room."
"Lu, we can't just make your family stay in a hotel, they'll be here to visit us, that's rude," He clearly doesn't understand, because he gets his cute little confused face, mouth pouty and eyebrows furrowed.
"Plus, if we have a guest room now, we may not have to move into a new place for a while, we'll be able to just redecorate if the time comes," I can't help but mention, glancing up hesitantly, and the confused look hasn't changed.
I'm going to actually have to say this out loud. And while Lu and I have discussed living together a lot, down to now looking at apartments online, and we've discussed getting married one day, we've never discussed this.
Kids.
"What do you mean, baby?" He asks when I've paused for too long.
"Uh." What am I supposed to say? For when we have babies one day? "You know, for the future."
And it's now that his confusion is morphed into joy, him moving my laptop to the floor and flipping me over so that my front is facing his, his arms around me tightening as he kisses me.
"Are you talking about having kids with me?" And the absolute look of hope on his face makes me want to cry tears of joy.
"I didn't mean to assume that you'd want to have kids with me, I just- it breaks my heart to even consider a future without you but -"
"Never think like that," He interrupts, smile smaller than before as he cups my face. "Never think of a future without me in it, cause if I'm not in it I'm dead."
"Lu-"
"No," He interrupts again. "You need to know that I plan to marry you. Hell-" Is the next thing to come out of his mouth, moving from under me and earning a groan of disapproval, but he's back a second later, a small box in his hand and his heart rate skyrocketing as he retakes his place behind me.
"Luke, what is that?" I can't help but ask, even though I'm almost positive in the answer.
"It's the ring I bought for you right after our first anniversary," He begins to explain, bringing tears to my eyes. "Hey now, please don't cry baby."
And I shove him, not hard, but enough against his chest for him to get the memo. "You just told me you bought a ring for me after our first anniversary, A YEAR AND A HALF AGO and you expect me not to cry?"
"I need you to know, I was not planning on showing this to you, or giving this to you, for a while. I just knew I was going to marry you and bought it with my sign-on check for the Devils."
"Do you want an answer? Need an answer? Are you actively proposing or just showing me that you've thought about it?"
Lu chuckles, running him hand that's not holding the closed box through my hair and letting it rest on my shoulder.
"You need to know that I was going to do it this summer. Take you to the lake house, take you to that little bookstore-cafe type place I let you talk me into for our first date and propose," he explains, tears pouring down my face. And he looks at me with such a soft expression that I just know I'll forever feel at home with this boy.
"Would you be okay with me just asking you n-"
"Yes," I interrupt, not caring about what comes next.
Chuckling, he shakes his head, the curls moving this way and that. "Yes you're okay with me asking now or yes to the question?"
"Both," I answer without a second thought. "God Lu just ask me to marry you already!"
"Mackenzie-"
"Yes."
"- will you -"
"Yes."
"Marry me? Not now, but at some point?" And although he knows my answer, he looks nervous.
"Luke Hughes there is no universe where I say no to spending forever with you," I assure, kissing him softly before he slips the ring, a gorgeous one that could have come straight from my dreams, onto my finger, pulling me as close to his chest as humanly possible. We stay like this, just resting together in excitement and love before I can feel his head shift back to looking at me.
"So, kids?" Are the words he chooses the re-start our conversation from earlier, making me giggle.
"One day."

i need an excuse to talk about kissing alhaitham on new year. it just makes me kick my feet and smile like an idiot
---
contrary to normal couples, you and alhaitham didn't go to a party or celebration on new year's eve. instead, you two stayed inside, cuddling on the couch as alhaitham read from his book and you watched a movie.
this was your ritual to stay awake every year, occupying your minds so that you could both make it to midnight to share that special new years kiss. although some years were unsuccessful (where you both fell asleep before midnight), you were determined to stay awake this year.
however, despite your determination and your boyfriends reluctant compliance to said determination, you can already feel your eyes dropping shut. it's only when the subtle rise and fall of his chest is disturbed, his weight shifting as he changes his position on the couch, do you snap back awake
"i'm awake!"
you hear alhaitham chuckle softly at your exclamation as the page turns.
"of course, darling, wide awake."
you pout at his teasing but you readjust your position against his body so your both comfortable again. you check your watch for the time, hoping midnight had drawn closer since you spaced out
"there's only five more minutes! we'll definitely make it this year."
you say smugly, looking up at alhaitham with a grin. he looks away from his book, closing it but holding his finger between the pages to keep his place.
"how about we just kiss now and go to bed? you're already nodding off"
"i'm not falling asleep!"
you insist stubbornly, sitting up from where you lay against alhaithams frame. you stare into his eyes, challenging his words with a defiant glint in your gaze. you have to stay awake now, if only to prove him wrong and be rewarded with the traditional kiss.
you can see his lips widen into a knowing smirk, like he's holding something against you that you're unaware of. and despite yourself, you can't help but find that expression of his quite attractive.
"whatever you say"
he opens his book again and resumes where he left off, a trace of arrogance lingering on his face. you roll your eyes and retake your spot next to alhaitham, focussing on the movie that was temporarily forgotten.
five silent minutes pass between you, interrupted by your watch beeping as the digits flash 12:00 AM. alhaitham finished a sentence before placing the book down completely, turning to you expectantly.
you were still awake, at this point fuelled solely by your will to prove alhaitham wrong. alhaitham watched you, waiting for you to initiate the kiss you had anticipated all night, yet all you did was turn off the beeping on your watch and stare at him.
"happy new year y/n"
alhaitham says quietly, eyes momentarily flickering to your lips before returning to meet your gaze.
"happy new year haitham"
there's a brief silence as alhaitham's distracted glances become more obvious, yet he doesn't make the first move. you notice how his brows furrow slightly and his lips quirk downwards, how his eyes narrow as he tries to figure out why you haven't kissed him.
"is this about earlier?"
he asks, his pout becoming more prominent. gods, he looked just adorable, you could pinch his cheeks and tease him for acting so cute, but you decide to save that for another time.
"what makes you think that?"
you reply, a poorly hidden smile blooming on your face.
"don't make me wait all night for a kiss just to act petty, darling"
"i'll act however i want, dearest. just admit that i was able to stay up all night."
the smile wins it's way onto your face, unable to be suppressed, and you feel all the more triumphant as alhaitham sighs in defeat, shaking his head at your antics.
"you were close to nodding off though-"
"that's not the same thing!"
you interject, laughing at how he tries to avoid compromising his earlier words.
"fine," he smiles affectionately, the corners of his eyes crinkling, "you were very awake the entire night."
"that's better," you say, your finger tilting his chin to you, his mouth toward yours.
"you're insufferable" he whispers
"yeah but you love it"
and you start the new year with a proper kiss, even if you were a few minutes late
---
happy new year :))

Chapter 9: Hey Baby
Ted and I eventually got out of the pool so we could dry off enough to film the next scene. Putting on his white hoodie honestly made this one of my favourite scenes to film, strictly because it smelled like him. Pine and vanilla. It was such a distinct but subtle smell and the warmth of the hoodie felt like he was giving me a gentle hug. I couldn't stop smiling but I had to keep my cool in front of the film crew, I didn't want them knowing about Ted and I just yet. I'm not even sure if I'll ever want them to know, if I can help it. It's not really any of their business. However, one of the members of the wardrobe team seemed to notice that there was a difference in my demeanor around Ted, commenting on how I had grown more comfortable in scenes with him. I didn't mind it, I don't think they were implying anything. Even if they were, Ted didn't seem to care, so neither will I.
The rest of the day went by fairly quickly after that, mostly because Ted and I needed to be completely dried for the next couple scenes, only to have to get right back into the pool for another kiss scene once the sun had set. They had given him some some funny looking swim trunks and gave me a full one-piece bathing suit, so at least we'd be in the proper attire this time. We were filming quite late at night, the only thing lighting the area were the bright blue lights in the pool and a few LED panels Tanner had set up by the cameras. It was a simple but very romantic scene. Ted would swim over to me and pull me in by my waist near the shallow end. I'd loosely wrap my arms around his neck and we'd share an intimate, longing kiss. Ted let out a content hum in a particular retake of the kiss, his thumb caressing my skin under the water. That wasn't for the camera, that was for me. It made my heart flutter.
When the night ended, the crew helped dry off Ted and I one last time so we could turn in for the night and change into our PJ's. I had a quick shower to wash out any chlorine that might've been in my hair, then moved into my room to change and settle into bed. I'm sitting in bed, still sort of drying my hair with a towel when I heard a knock at my door. I look over and furrow my brows in confusion. Who could that be?
"Come in." I call out to the door, sitting up a bit more and setting the towel aside.
It's Ted. Again, in a white tank top and some dark, loose pajama pants. "Hey, you're never gonna believe this.." Ted's giving me a cheeky smile, leaning a little against my door frame. "Tanner fell asleep in my room again.."
I raise a brow at him, giving a suspicious smirk. "Oh yeah? He took your bed again?"
"Yeah, he did." Ted confirmed without hesitation, keeping his hand on the doorknob.
"Really?" I let a little chuckle escape me, crossing my arms. "Two nights in a row?"
"Yeah. And my laptop is still in here."
"Mhmm, yes it is."
"So I could...do more work in here."
"You could do more work in here?"
"Yeah."
"Just work?"
"...maybe a little more. Can I come in?.."
I give him a knowing smile and roll my eyes. Last night I believed him. Tonight? Not so much. "So Tanner's in your room right now?" I ask, pointing down a little.
"Yeah. Fast asleep." Ted confirms again, toying with my door a little.
"So if I were to..get up and go check your room, he'd be in there?"
"Oh, you wanna check out my room, princess?"
"To see if Tanner's there, yes. I--"
"If you'd rather go in my room, that's perfectly fine. Mine's got cleaner sheets."
An annoyed groan leaves me as I lean my head back, smiling and rolling my eyes. This motherfucker. "Fuck you, I replaced my sheets earlier and you're not ruining these ones.."
"Ok, I didn't ruin them, you did." Ted gestures over at me with a confident grin. "I'm not sayin' I'd deny a second round if you wanted it, but that ain't what I'm here for."
"So what are you here for?"
"My laptop. To do some work."
"But you can't go in your room to do it."
"Well, If you wanted to go in my room instead, I could arrange that."
"I thought Tanner was in there?"
"I could kick him out for you."
I sigh deeply, looking over Ted's self-assured smile before shaking my head, patting the empty side of the bed with a defeated chuckle. "Get over here, you moron.."
Ted's grin widens as he steps into my room, closing the door behind him. I thought maybe he would reach for his laptop that was under the bed and sit down next to me, but he comes right for me instead, climbing onto the bed to crawl over top of me somewhat. I feel my cheeks burn up, moving my hands back to hold my body up when he'd go in for a kiss, a nervous hum leaving me in response.
"I thought--" I talk into the kiss, causing him to move back a little with a curious tilt of his head.
"Mmm? That's new for you.." Ted teased with a purr
"Shut up.." I try to resist the urge to smile, but I fail big time, looking away from him for a moment. "I thought you were getting your laptop to work..."
"Oh, that thing? Nah, it's dead. I'll charge it tomorrow. I'm here for you."
"Oh you motherfucker. I hate you.."
"You don't hate this.."
Ted brings his hand to lightly grab my jaw, forcing me to look his way once more so he could kiss me again, holding himself up with one of his arms. I let out a flirty chuckle as I kiss him back, loosely wrapping my arms around his neck to pull him more into the bed. We don't go all the way tonight, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to. Just being close to this man like this causes all kinds of me to purr. We made out for a good little while, at one point I had nearly straddled his thigh, but we had an even earlier morning tomorrow and couldn't risk doing any more, so we fall asleep in each other's arms once again.
The next morning was still a drag, even with the good sleep I got. Waking up in Ted's embrace again was nice and all, but I was grumpy for most of the morning and he wasn't making it any easier. Ted is definitely a morning person. Me? Not so much. He was all bubbles and sunshine once we got downstairs. I was the complete opposite. Besides some groggy 'goodmorning's, I didn't say a single word to anyone until I got that first cup of coffee and even then it was difficult to film some of the bright and early scenes with him. He'd speak a line perfectly, I'd completely forget mine and he'd tease me about it with this big, stupid smile on his face. It's like he knew something about today that I didn't and he was toying with me. He was purposely trying to get on my nerves without crossing any lines.
"Look...I...I like you and all, Ted, but I--"
"You just called me Ted again."
"...Fuck me, did I? I did?" I look over at Tanner and the film crew with a tired smile as they start snickering and laughing. Poor Tanner gives me a quiet nod, a chuckle leaving him as well. "What the fuck is your name supposed to be again?" I ask with a weary cackle, trying to rub my eyes without smudging any makeup.
"Mason." A bunch of people speak out his character's name at the same time, including Ted. After pouring a second cup of coffee for myself, we were able to get through the scene. As much as I tried to power through it, it was not a good morning.
It got a little easier once I was given an early break to go over the script and brainstorm some ideas with Tanner in the kitchen while the wardrobe team brought Ted over to that little tent in the living room I went in yesterday.
"Is it Ted's turn to wear 10 different brands of foundation?" I joke with Tanner, sitting at the kitchen table with my legs crossed.
"No, he's going through different suits." Tanner explained, leaning back against his chair. "We're kinda torn between a couple outfits for the ballroom sequence. The team wants to see what aesthetic fits him so we can decide on the era."
"I thought you guys already had an idea?" I ask, taking a peek at the script. "We were gonna go with fantasy, weren't we?"
"We were, when it was you and Conner. I just don't think fantasy fits Ted. We're shooting for realism this time. More...50's-60's era. Maybe a little older."
A knowing smile spreads along my lips, taking a sip of my second cup of coffee. That's actually kinda perfect. Ted and I are essentially going to be cosplaying one of my favourite eras of the real world.
"You guys wanna see Ted in his first suit?" Joe peeks into the kitchen with a big grin on his face. "We need help with voting.."
Tanner and I look at each other with excited expressions, for our own reasons of course, before immediately getting up and moving into the living room to watch this little fashion show. Joe and Tanner moved the couch back a little so Ted could simply step out of the clothing tent to show off whatever he had on
"Did you bring fucking everyone over here, you asshole?" Ted curses at Joe from behind the dark partition, peeking up passed the top of it. He was taller than the damn thing so we could always see his hair and some of his forehead behind it, unless he squats down.
"Of course I did! You need voters!" Joe chuckles, sitting down on the couch next to Tanner and I.
"They're just different colored suits!" Ted chuckles, holding out a bundle of different colored suits in one hand. "What's there to vote on? They all look the same!"
"I mean, some of them are different colors..." Tanner added, pointing at the bundle of suits Ted was holding out.
"Ted if you wrinkle up any of those fucking suits, I swear to God.." Joe huffs, getting up to swat Ted's hand away. "They're meant to represent different decades of history. Put one on."
"Is that why one of these have a duck flap in the back?"
"Is that the one you have on right now?"
"Yeah."
"Then come out and show it already!"
I hear Ted let out a little huff, stepping out from behind the partition to show off the first suit. It looked like a normal black and white suit, fitted with a blue and white striped tie and a sleek black jacket with a longer section in the back. He looked...a little goofy.
"I feel like..." I pause, leaning forward a little as I look over the suit with my eyebrows slightly furrowed.
"I feel like it's missing something." Tanner finishes my thought for me, giving the same slightly confused expression.
"He could wear a top hat. We could get him a top hat." Joe suggested with a little smirk, but no one really liked the idea. Tanner and I shake our heads.
"I look like I belong in a Panic At The Disco music video.." Ted chuckles with a little shrug, looking at everyone's visible disapproval.
"Alright fine, next suit." Joe huffed, playfully pushing Ted back behind the partition so he could change into the next suit.
The next hour was spent waiting for Ted to change into the next suit so he could come out and show them off, always getting mixed responses regardless of what he was wearing. He came out in a light brown plaid suit with a dark brown tie, Joe liked it, Tanner and I didn't. He came out in a baby blue suit, Tanner liked it, Joe and I didn't. He came out in an all white suit, I kind of liked it but Joe and Tanner weren't impressed and finally, he tried on a dark brown suit and none of us liked it, Ted included. It started to feel like we were putting too much thought into this.
"Why don't I put on just the regular fuckin' black suit we have back here?" Ted asks from behind the partition, tossing the brown suit jacket to the side.
"I just--" Joe sighs, sitting back down on the couch with Tanner and I "I'm worried it's going to look boring."
"Black suits aren't fuckin' boring, Yo-seph." Ted replies, glancing over the partition at Joe. "They're only boring if you make them boring."
"I feel like it depends on who's wearing them.." I add, crossing one of my legs over the other. "Like, Tanner could probably wear a grey suit and look great."
"Awe. Thanks." Tanner gives me a genuine smile. "I could probably wear a grey suit and look great. I think Joe would look good in the baby blue suit."
"Maybe. I liked the lighter brown one.." Joe admitted with a little shrug. "I might steal it when we're done. Are we allowed to steal stuff from set?"
"I mean..." Tanner pauses, glancing up as he thought about it. "Probably, as long as the college doesn't yell at me about it, take whatever you want."
Our conversation is cut short by the sound of Ted stepping out from behind the partition one last time, showing off the next fit.
🎶Hey baby, hey baby, hey!
Girls say, boys say
Hey baby, hey baby, hey 🎶
Ted comes out in a simple white button up shirt with a loose black tie attached and black slacks held up by a pretty black belt, holding the black suit jacket over his shoulder with one hand with his other hand in his pocket. Joe and Tanner have completely perked up, talking with Ted with excited smiles. I can't focus on anything they're saying, my eyes completely fixed on Ted's attire. I don't know why, but this outfit did something to me, REALLY did something to me. I felt my body physically react when he first stepped out, my eyes lingering over the outfit. I had to cross my legs. The sleeves were rolled up a little, and the shirt was tucked into his pants nicely. The entire fit looked comfortable. My gaze wanders along Ted's hairy arms and electric watch, noticing his hand fidget in his pocket. My eyes fix onto his belt for a moment until I can hear my name being repeated, a light blush appearing on my face when I realize Ted's been looking at me. If he caught me staring at his belt, I'm gonna kill myself.
"I think they like this one.." Joe's giving me a knowing grin, raising his brows at me when I look at him.
"Oh yeah, she's lost in it. This is the one." Ted snickers a little, adjusting his round glasses on his face.
"Don't--" A nervous chuckle leaves me, tucking a little of my hair behind my ear. "Don't patronize me, he looks...he looks fine. It works."
"This is literally just the outfit I wore for my barbie video, minus the jacket." Ted admits, hooking the suit jacket over the top of the partition.
"I mean, if that's what you want to go with, that's perfect for Mason. Glad to see everyone approves." Tanner smiles and gives a single clap, standing up from the couch. It seemed like Tanner had no idea why Joe and Ted were teasing me, he was just happy we had all finally agreed on something.
"Should I change out of this?" Ted asks, picking at the front of his shirt a little.
"Do you want to?" Tanner asks, raising a brow at Ted. "You're done filming today, so you could.."
"Oh yeah, I want to." Ted smiles with a little nod, glancing at me briefly. Oh he knows. He knows.
"Sure. Go right ahead." Tanner shrugs and nods back before gesturing Joe to help him move the couch back.
Ted may have been done filming today, but I wasn't. I worked alongside Tanner and Dan during the rest of the afternoon with more silent establishing shots where I was supposed to be thinking and stressing about my character's relationship with Mason, pacing around the living room in some scenes while sitting and thinking by the kitchen counter in other's. Fitting, somewhat. Ted was there to watch every take, keeping his eyes on me throughout all of it. Every now and then, he'd do little things that would catch my attention. He'd slip his hands into his pockets, he'd sway a little in place, he'd glide his tongue along the inside of his mouth and check me out. Whenever Tanner and Dan weren't paying attention, I'd shoot Ted a glare or even flash the middle finger. I was trying to show that his silent flirting wasn't doing anything, but God was it hard not to swoon.
I don't even know what was happening to me. Ted showed us the barbie video a couple nights ago, I've seen this fit, it didn't affect me at all before. Now, I find myself taking any chance I can get to look at the belt he had on when he isn't looking. I think about how it'll sound to unbuckle it, I think about his hands being in my hair, grabbing my jaw, caressing my cheek, praising or even demeaning me. I'd kill to get this version of Ted in my room.
Man, am I fucking ovulating or something? What the fuck is wrong with me?
The moment it got really bad was closer to the end of the night. Everyone was packing up the wardrobe tent in the living room while I made myself a cup of tea in the kitchen. I was fully facing the counter so I couldn't see anything going on behind me, my attention fixed on my phone. I thought I heard someone walk behind me, but I figured it was Tanner or something just trying to walk by me. Boy, was I wrong.
I feel something slightly press up against me from behind. "Watcha watchin'?"
I hear Ted's low purr in my ear, and my face immediately heats up, quickly turning myself around to see Ted was right there. Right in front of me.
"Y-You scared the shit out of me.." I huff, slipping my phone into my pocket. "It was just TikTok.."
"You feelin' alright? You've been all over the place today.." Ted gives me a confident smile, leaning in a little more to rest his hand on the counter behind me, slipping his other hand into his pockets.
"T-Ted.." I feel my face heat up a little more, trying to lean away from him. He had me cornered once more, though this time we weren't alone. "Th-The crew is still here..."
"What about em'? We're just talkin'." Ted shrugs casually, glancing down at my lips. "Nothin' wrong with talkin.."
"You're not lookin' at me like you wanna be 'talkin''" I glare at him, resting both of my hands back on the edge of the counter.
"Oh, I definitely don't." Ted doesn't hesitate to agree. "I don't think you wanna be talkin' either.."
"What gives you that impression?"
"The way you've been lookin' at me."
"I haven't been looking anywhere." A chuckle leaves me and I roll my eyes. "I've been doing my job today, Ted."
"Mmm, and staring at my pants was part of your job today, yeah?"
I can't hide the heavy blush that spreads along my cheeks, locking eyes with Ted with a defeated sigh. I hate this man. I hate what he does to me. "I was looking at your belt, actually..." I corrected, giving him a small smile.
"Ohhh, you don't even deny it this time.." Ted purrs at me again, his hand slowly moving from the counter to inch closer to mine. "You wanna help me take it off later?.."
Ted and I are interrupted by the sound of Tanner calling out to him from the living room, asking him to come help with packing away the camera's. Ted let's out an annoyed huff and pulls away from me, slightly trailing his hand along mine briefly. "Oh we ain't done here, princess.." Ted looks me over one last time before finally moving out of the kitchen to go help Tanner, giving me a chance to breathe properly.
Once the crew had gone home, Tanner, Ted, Dan, Joe and I were hanging out in the living room, sitting together in the same spots we were the night we played Jackbox, which meant Ted was right next to me, still wearing that stupid fucking hot ass formal fit. Since everyone here knew we were seeing each other, he wasn't afraid to sit close by and rest of one of his arms behind me, occasionally moving his hand to touch my shoulder and caress my upper arm when he knew no one was paying attention. It was driving me nuts. The only real break I got from all the little looks and gestures was when Tanner suggested we play Smash Bros. Ultimate, making Ted sit up more so he could focus. Ted and I bonded over our love for the series, often having to fight for 1st during every match, though Tanner, Joe and Dan weren't half bad at it either. I wouldn't say any of us were competitive levels of skilled, but we were all good enough to put constant pressure on each other.
"I swear to god, if you spike me one more fucking time.." Ted grumbles at me, the only other sound in the room besides the game being the clicking of our respective controllers.
"Just don't get spiked, Ted." Tanner teases him with a big smile.
"Yeah Ted, don't let them spike you." Dan joins in with a little chuckle, looking over at how focused Ted and I were on this match.
"I'm gonna chokeslam you two if you don't shut the fuck up." Ted growls playfully with a big smile on his face.
"No guys, keep going, distract him for me.." I laugh a little, leaning forward to focus on the match. There was a good minute or two where we couldn't get a single hit on each other, continuously shielding, dodging and parrying attacks like our life depended on it. Truthfully, I just wanted to beat him as a way to punish him for teasing me so much, and boy did I work for it. I lost a whole stock to set up the perfect spike off the edge, and when I got it, I was so proud.
"YES!!!" "FUCK!!!"
Ted and I both shot up from the couch as we shouted. I can't help but start laughing happily, raising my controller up above my head as the others start excitingly talking over each other about the match. I point and laugh at Ted as he sits back down, glaring playfully at me.
"You fucking bitch.." Ted curses at me with a grin on his face, playing his hands in his lap. "You little cunt.."
"Get fucked, Teddy! Get shit on! Get absolutely dogged on!" I gently throw my controller onto the couch next to him, moving my hands into my hair as I try to catch my breath. God, that felt good.
"You're gonna fuckin' pay for that, mark my fuckin' words, princess." Ted shakes his head and points at me, ignoring the others as they start to clean up. "Watch your ass.."
"I can't hear you over my fuckin' victory, Ted." I wiggle my fingers at him in a flirty wave, sticking my tongue out.
"Yeah yeah. Just you wait.." Ted mumbled under his breath, standing up off the couch to help Tanner bring everything upstairs.
We all split off for the night, this time I got to see Tanner actually walk into his bedroom and close the door. No way could Ted make the same excuse 3 nights in a row. I move into the bathroom to wash the makeup off my face, taking a moment to look at my reflection with a smirk. I take a deep breath as I look into my own eyes, running a little mini experiment. I think of the most random things, keeping a close look on my small pupils. When I allow my thoughts to shift to Ted in that formal fit, I watch my pupils enlarge quite a bit, smiling to myself with a slight chuckle. Yeah, I'm down bad.
I exit the bathroom and move into my bedroom for the night, sort of nibbling on my lower lip as I turn around and slowly close my door. When I feel the door shut, I don't immediately turn around, keeping my hand on the doorknob for a moment. I smile to myself. I had a feeling this was going to happen.
"I tried to tell ya, princess.."

Life Update
I'm not dead, ya'll—
As you've noticed, I've been real quiet here and my last post was back in July. Uh, yikes. 😬
So, where have I been these past few months?
WELL, for starters, I've been busy with college since I managed to get back in (love you, grandma), and I've been busy making up for my bad grades because I had to repeat a year and retake some subjects I failed. So... there's that.
Second reason is that I experienced the worst dose of Depression in my life. It was last summer, and I wasn't happy and disappointed with myself and where my life was going at the time. It came to a point that I couldn't take care of myself proplerly (really bad sleep schedule, insomnia, refusing to eat to the point that I look so wasted, not wanting to take care of myself in general) and it went to a moment where I wanted to commit suicide, because I felt so ashamed of, well, me and my own failures. I had a note ready and everything, already committed to do the deed. Though, in the end, I'm lucky and grateful for the people that never gave up on me and helped me get out of that void. My Depression is still there, but I'm doing better now and hopefully continue to improve on that.
Speaking of, writing has been on hold because of that, writer's block, and dissatisfaction on my work. I like where Chapter 1 is going now, but at the same time I can't help but think that there should be something more and that the plot that follows after doesn't feel right to me. Though thankfully I've come up with a solution during my hiatus.
It's a rewrite. The answer is a rewrite. 💀
Not a full on rewrite, but just a few changes to the plot beats I initially had in mind. I'm not going to change Chapter 1, because for the life of me I won't be able to rewrite 26k+ words and the implemented code in Twine without getting a headache or two. But I will edit it a bit to make it flow better. Hopefully I'll be able to make some huge progress and update the demo soon in the near future.
In other news, I've been working on other things like that Discord server that's way overdue. I feel a bit more confident in being able to manage and handle a server, so I might as well try, right?
Sneak peek for the curious minded:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm still planning to add more things, besides needing to digitize the custom emojies of the RO's and Emery. Maybe a few more roles and channels will be added, but Imma see where that takes me.
I've been dabbling back in digital art too, albeit few because of my busy schedule and I am working on Halloween art of the RO's that will be posted soon. Nothing too big, but here ya go.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aislinn and Lothric, oh how I've missed you both. 🥹
On the final piece of news, I'm working on commissions! Well, commission since it's only one for now, but I am thankful regardless. I am planning to open up headshot commissions and smaller, cheaper 500~1k word drabble commissions somewhere in the future. Though for now, if you wanna pay me $10 to write a 2k~3k drabble of your OC and another character from Cheers, then feel free to head over to my Kofi in the pinned post to commission me!
So, um, that's that. For now anyway, and I'm very excited to be able to work on this again after so long.
For those who has stuck around and has been patiently waiting, thank you so much for being here and for being so kind. I really am grateful and thankful.

Request from @lovindamsel : Heyy!! I adore your writing style sm and I just wanted to ask for some “tutor” Zandik from when Dottore and Reader were still in the academia so ofc Dottore has to help his gf lmao (don’t feel pressured ofc!! It’s just a headcannon scenario of mine!! Have a wonderful day!!<33)
Of course^^
This is my first NSFW🔞 so be warned. MDNI
Tumblr media
"Hands-on approach. "
"So, tell me again how an Amurta student like you failed your biology subject?" Zandik asked as he looked at your papers that were marked as failed.
"It's just hard to memorize things, Zandik. The human body has a lot of parts and some of them are even hard to pronounce. Besides, I was also helping you research on the ruin guard we found yesterday so I wasn't really able to review for the exams." you replied, your voice was slightly muffled due to you covering your face with your hands.
"So it was my fault?"
"I would say yes but I love you too much so I'd rather say it was my lack of memorization skills. Luckily, I was given a chance to retake it tomorrow."
Zandik could only sigh before looking around his room and went to search for something. You watched as he skimmed through the books on his shelves before pulling out a very thick book about human anatomy and walking back to where you sat.
"Tell me what the test was about."
"It was about the muscular system.. the skeletal system was easy since I somewhat used your body to identify where each bone is located at."
"Hm? So that's why you kept prodding me. And here I thought you were just trying to get my attention, love."
Zandik sat down on the edge of his bed before looking up at you with a smile, patting his lap for you to come and sit. You felt your cheeks heat up as you followed and sat on his lap, the book he grabbed earlier was placed upon your thighs.
"Zandik, what are you doing?" you asked as Zandik flipped through the pages of the book before he finally stopped at a page that contained the human muscular system.
"You mentioned that memorizing the skeletal system was easy to remember due to you poking and prodding every area of my body. Therefore, I'm going to help you memorize the muscular system with a more hands-on approach."
Zandik handed you the book as your eyes skimmed through each label of each muscle in the human body. You could feel your stomach drop from how many parts the muscular system has.
'Is it even possible to memorize this?' you thought when you suddenly felt Zandik's arms wrapping around your waist and pulling you closer to his figure.
"I'll be touching some areas on your body.. meanwhile you'll have to identify which part of the muscles it is. Do good and I'll reward you with every correct answer, my love."
Zandik let out a hum before pressing a kiss to your nape. He leaned over your shoulder before pointing at the picture shown on the book. His warm breath fanning against your ear, making you feel a shiver run down your spine.
"You have an hour to familiarize the names and remember where they are located. After that, I'll test you and see if you memorize it."
Tumblr media
"Tell me what this part here is."
You let out a gasp when Zandik gently bit down on the area between your neck and shoulder with a hum, his sharp teeth digging into your skin. His grip on your waist tightened so that you won't be able to squirm away from his hold.
"T-the trapezius.."
"Correct."
Zandik carefully unbuttoned your uniform, one of his hands immediately roaming up to your chest. You felt him cup your breast before squeezing and playing with the soft flesh. His other hand slipping into your underwear before slowly rubbing your clit in circles, making you elicit a moan.
"What about here, dearest?"
He squeezed your breast again, trying to get you to focus on the task.
"Latissimus dorsi."
"Wrong."
Zandik immediately stopped touching your clit before glancing at you and watching you whine from the loss of contact. He held you by your hips when you tried to rub yourself against his fingers, a small chuckle coming out of his throat when he heard you whining for him.
"No, no. You won't get any reward if you answer wrong. Now, try again, darling."
You arched your back when you felt Zandik pinch and pull at your nipple, rubbing the sensitive bud between his fingers. You wanted to complain to him at how unfair he was being but you also remembered he was helping you study. But you couldn't think straight when his fingers are roaming and touching you in different areas that Zandik knew can push you to the edge.
"The.. ah.. pectoralis major?.."
You cried out when you felt two of Zandik's fingers push itselves inside your cunt, you can feel his nails scraping against your walls.
"Z-zandik.."
"We're not yet done, darling. Now what is this called?"
Zandik's other hand trailed down to your stomach, caressing the area. You couldn't even listen to what he was saying, not when he was fingering you so good that it's making your mind hazy.
"Focus on my voice, dearest. I'll make you cum if you can answer what this part is."
You tried to hold back another moan as you tried to remember what was the name of the muscle on the stomach area. Zandik felt your slick running down his fingers and onto his pants uniform, a smirk appearing on his face when he knew you were close to the edge. Your breath hitched when you felt the burning pit in your stomach about to burst.
"I-it's the external oblique!"
"Wrong."
You felt Zandik's fingers stopped moving as you whined when you couldn't reach your climax. Zandik chuckled as he watched you try to ride his fingers but he held you in place.
"Answer the last one and you can cum. If you got it wrong again, I'll leave you here being a whining mess."
Zandik gripped on your thigh before pulling you close to him, your back hitting against his chest as he spread your legs apart when you tried to rub your thighs together to reach your disappearing climax.
"How pathetic.. your attempts are futile, my love. Unless you can tell me the right answer, then I'll give you that orgasm you wanted. All you have to do is tell me what muscle is here."
You leaned your head back on Zandik's shoulder, trying to focus on the area he was caressing on your stomach. You have to answer or else he's going to leave you all needy like this. You already know the answer, it's at the tip of your tongue.
"Rectus abdominis..."
"Good girl."
Zandik began to thrust his fingers inside you again, adding a third digit in as he quickened his pace. Your moans can be heard throughout the room, Zandik could only grin as he watched you move your hips closer to his fingers.
"Zandik please.."
You could only whine as a knot began to from in the pit of your stomach. Zandik's fingers were scissoring and curling inside your cunt, making your walls clamp down on his digits. To add even more fuel to the burning fire, Zandik pressed his thumb down on your clit and rubbed the sensitive bud. You felt your legs tremble as you cried out your release, your juices soaking Zandik's fingers all the way to his pants.
"You did so well, love."
You felt your body being laid down on your lover's bed, your mind was still hazy from your release. Zandik laid down next to you and held your figure close, wiping away the drool dripping down your chin using his thumb.
"You think you can now pass that exam tomorrow?"
You could only nod in reply, too busy clinging to your partner's clothes and relishing in his comfort. Zandik chuckled as he placed a sweet kiss on your lips before leaning towards your ear with a smirk spreading through his face.
"If you come back with a perfect grade... I promise I will fuck you senseless and fill you up with my cum~"
And come back with a perfect score you did.

Have you decided yet if you're gonna post/upload your Sims stuff anywhere? I'm kinda curious
i actually do have a sims sideblog for the like 3 mods i've made (@ageezy) but i don't think i will be posting my legacy nonsense there. Whats more likely to happen is that I will post an, erm, more 'curated' version of my legacy on a sideblog I have yet to create. One of my favorite creators did something similar on twitter (this guy). We'll see. I started treating this less like recording gameplay and more like a writing project (or worse, graphic novel) and i think when i do post it eventually it will show.
The poses i have made for the legacy, however, might end up on that modding sideblog. I just have to figure out why the game won't display the thumbnails :\

I live vicariously through your voice actor reader because voice acting is my dream profession, so may I have a small snippet or something?
Perhaps something along the lines of VA reader trying to record their lines but they have to retake them over and over again because Baron (I miss him) keeps messing things up. He’s touch starved so he won’t let reader record in peace, and he stubbornly refuses to sit anywhere but in their lap (or, alternatively, reader sits in his lap).
Maybe…. Just maybe…. The thing that’s messing up readers recordings is the sound of Baron purring in the background…. :0
"Y/n? Hey, Y/n, let me in. I stepped on my tails and I need your attention or I will die. The two are unrelated, but I need sympathy points. Y/n, are you listening? Come on, its been like ten minutes. Y/nnn."
You throw off your headphones and stop the recording as the demon whines and bangs on the bathroom door. This is what you've had to deal with the whole day. A studio had requested you record some updated test reels for reference and Baron, on his usual needy streak, decided today was the day he'd dump the week long build up of his love on you.
The oversized pest forced his head onto your lap and began purring up a storm during your first attempt; refusing to move and literally chucking your computer monitor safely on the bed as he asked about your day. He followed you from bedroom/makeshift office to closet to the kitchen; disturbing your recordings with little chirps and nipping at your fingers for ignoring his demands. You finally locked yourself in the bathroom using the sink drawer as a barricade. Your confidence with its security grew weaker by the second as the drawer slowly fell off its hinge with each hit.
All falls silence as it gives way and crashes to the ground. You wait for him to break down the door - he comes through the window instead."
"Y/n!" Baron squeezes his large body through the tight space and jumps in the bathroom beside you. He pulls you into his lap as his tail coil around you; horns and warm tongues knocking against the side of your face as he rubs his head against it. "I missed you so fucking much. Kinda sad you're not taking a shower, but I'm still so happy to see you!"
"Baron! I'm busy right now. I just needed twenty minutes."
"Twenty?! I barely lasted five. Stop sending your voice to people who probably get off to it and cuddle me!"
His pitiful whines rumble against your back. Baron reaches for your computer, but you manage to save what you've recorded so far and set it outside the tub. Your finger missing the pause button by an inch, but you don't have the time to notice. Forgetting about it almost immediately, Baron slathers kisses over your face and neck as he pulls you closer, growling softly.
"Mine. No one else's. If you do this to me again I'll kill whoever's taking you away."
You thrown an arm around his neck. "You always say that. I managed to get some work done, so you can stay for a while."
You and Baron end up spending the rest of the afternoon in the tub. He cradles you from the hard porcelain with his body, but you're still sore from the position and the bites he leaves all over you. Tired and wanting to get things over with, you send what you have without going over with editing.
You get the part, and questions on whether the gruff voice in the background as an agent.

The Spider and The Witch Chapter 4: The Mission and The Mistake
Summary: As Y/N's time with the Avengers comes to a close, Tony wants him to get some firsthand experience by joining the team on a mission.
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Male Reader
Warnings: Mild language
Word Count: 2.5K
A/N: Sorry for the sporadic posting. I've been dealing with a lot of personal stuff that hasn't given me the mental capacity to write or do anything really. The urge to write has been extremely low and I don't really want to anymore. I'm hoping it's just a phase and that I'll be able to power through and keep writing. In the meantime, enjoy chapter 4 :)
Tumblr media
“No.  Absolutely not.  He’s not ready, Tony.  He’s not coming.”
“He’ll be fine.  We’ll make him our water boy.”
“Who’s going to watch him?  Are we supposed to get a babysitter?”
“He’s got Karen, she’ll keep him out of trouble.”
The back and forth between Steve and Tony drolled on as you zoned out.  You were due back in Manhattan at the end of the week and you were more than excited to get back to late night study sessions and chemical equations.  The past month at the Compound was a transformative experience in so many ways, but you didn’t particularly enjoy it all too much.  It was difficult making friends with the rest of the team.  Bucky was the closest thing you could consider a friend seeing as you spent every morning in the weight room with him, Natasha coming in at a close yet still distant second.  Most evenings you spent alone in your room, frozen vegetables strategically spread over your battered body and the faintest image of your corpse being magically driven by the Scarlet Witch in the corners of your mind.
Being an Avenger wasn’t what you wanted.  If anything this experience further solidified your decision to pursue medicine.  But Tony didn’t want you to leave without getting some real-life experience.  There was a mission planned for the end of the week.  Rogue A.I.M. agents had been tracked to a secure facility in Washington, D.C. where they were planning on stealing the last remaining samples of the Extremis virus.  The mission was simple: get in, get out, ensure the sample’s safety.  It was going to require all hands on deck.  A month of training had given you rudimentary Spider-Man skills.  You didn’t think that you would be useful, but Tony obviously thought otherwise.
“Tony, Steve’s got a point.  He’s only been here a month,” Natasha added.  “What if he gets caught up in a mess?  We can’t have eyes everywhere all at once.”
“There’s going to be more than enough of us to make sure that he’s got backup if he needs it,” Tony explained, rubbing his temples.
“Look, I don’t have to go.  That’s more than okay with me,” you interrupted.  A dozen heads abruptly turned in your direction.  It felt like everyone forgot you were actually in the room.
“You’re going and that’s final, young man,” Tony snapped.  “I’ll keep him under my watch.  He won’t cause any problems.”
“And what if someone gets hurt?  Then what, Tony?” Steve asked.
“He won’t get anyone hurt.  Well, except maybe some bad guys, but that’s okay.  You won’t hurt anyone, Y/N.  Right?”  You quickly nodded.  “See, look, he just promised he won’t.  Case closed, he’s coming, see you all tomorrow.”
Great.

Spandex clung to you a little too tight as you sat in the very back of the Quinjet.  Maybe it was the anticipation of your first mission, but everything felt a little too tight, a little too warm, and a little too loud as you flew towards D.C.  You nestled up into the back corner, cool metal radiating through your suit and feebly working at cooling your skin.  The apprehension about your first mission was one you’d never felt before: it was like the anticipation of a final exam dialed up to an eleven.  While you could always retake a course if you failed, there were no do-overs if you messed up on the mission.  A sense of dread looming over you, you failed miserably at relaxing into your seat.
“So,” You looked up as Tony plopped down next to you, “how are you feeling?”  You shrugged.  “Nervous?”  You shrugged again. “Everyone’s first time is a little nerve wracking.  Performance anxiety’s a killer.  Hey, did you know that one out of every-”
“Where exactly are you going with this, Mr. Stark?”
“Here’s the deal: we’ll drop in, you hang back.  We’ll call you when we need you.  Water cooler’s over there.” He motioned to the orange cooler resting in the opposite corner.
“So that’s it?  Just swing in with the water and swing out?”
“Pretty much,” Tony nodded.  “I just want you to get a smidge of experience before you get out of here.  Nothing too crazy, maybe have you shoot a web at a building or a tied-up bad guy.”  He clapped you on the shoulder rather awkwardly.
“Thanks,” you replied.
“Look alive, kid.  We’ll be heading in soon.”
While Tony turned to address the group, you found yourself deep in your own world.  Logically you understood that the likelihood of being in danger was extremely low.  Even so, images of Peter’s final fight flashed through your mind.  The last thing you wanted was to end up like him.  You also felt incredibly unprepared.  These were literal superheroes fighting literal bad guys.  It wasn’t your wrestling room, faux-city training sessions with Tony’s drones: this was the real deal.  Things could go very wrong and people could get hurt.  While Tony asserted his confidence in you, you doubted your own instincts.  Your “spidey sense” was still faulty in the sense that it was difficult to tell what was a true threat and what was a false alarm.  If you couldn’t trust your own superpowers, how could anyone rely on you to get the job done?
“You get all that, kid?” Tony’s voice snapped you back to reality.
“Huh?” you answered, jerking your head towards him.  “Uhh, yeah.  Yeah.  Let’s do this.”
Natasha chuckled, shaking her head as she tossed Clint some more trick arrows.  “This is gonna go well,” she muttered.

“Rogers to base, we are over the drop zone,” Steve called over the radio.
“This is base.  Area secured, you are all clear,” the agent’s voice crackled over the other end of the radio.  “I repeat, you are a go.”
Steve stood up, placing his headset on the dashboard before turning to address the group.  “You all know your parts, let’s get the job done.”  Bucky snapped off an exaggerated salute as Steve rolled his eyes.
“Once we land, you’ll-”
“Stay on the ship, I got it,” you interrupted as Tony tried to remind you yet again of your inaction on the mission.
“Call if something catches fire,” he instructed, his nanosuit deftly encapsulating his body.
As the ship landed, you hugged the back wall as everyone departed.  Steve, Bucky, Natasha, and Clint took off toward the main bunker where the virus was being held.  Wanda and Pietro would secure the perimeter while Tony, Sam, and Rhodey took to the sky to keep an overhead watch.  Sighing, you slumped down, clutching the silky mask in your hands and watched the mission unfold in real-time over the holographic display.  Steve’s crew expertly navigated the maze of buildings and security measures as they trekked toward the holding facility.  Wanda hovered overhead, observing Pietro dash wildly around the entire complex.  He was a mere blur against the grainy screen, barely visible to the naked eye.  Even higher were the three flyers: stationary yet constantly scanning for threats.
So far, so good, you thought.  No enemy agents had been spotted, making this retrieval of Extremis easy.  Standing up and stretching your arms overhead, something caught your attention on the bottom of the screen.  A small shadow flickered near one of the other buildings.  It was difficult to make out what it was at first.  As you studied it further, your eyes straining against the low video quality, your heart started to race: a group of A.I.M. agents had somehow made it through all of the Avengers’ defenses.  Regardless, they were slinking their way towards Steve and his crew were retrieving the virus.
“Karen, I need to talk to Mr. Stark,” you shouted as you pulled the mask down over your face.
“Hold on, I’ll connect you,” Karen’s quasi-robotic voice politely responded.
“Fire extinguisher’s right under the-”
“There’s a bunch of bad guys heading toward the south entrance of the building where Cap is, Mr. Stark!” you exclaimed somewhat aggressively.
“What?  You sure?”
“I just saw them on the video feed.  There’s, I don’t know, maybe half a dozen of them?”
“Armed?”
“Yeah-?  At least I think so.”
“Well, you spotted them.  Finders, keepers, so why don’t you swing on in?”  Your heart lurched, as did your stomach.  You were being called into action.
“Karen, I guess we’re going in,” you sighed, tugging at your mask.
“Would you like to activate instant kill?” she asked.
“No.  No, I’m good.  Let’s…let’s just see what happens, I guess-?”  Taking a deep breath, you jogged off the ship toward the commotion.  Your jog quickly morphed into a sprint as you eyed the nearest tall object.  An oversized gate post became your target as you flicked your wrist, a silky white web launching out and attaching itself to the concrete structure while you used your momentum to propel yourself into the air.
The weightless feeling of web-slinging wasn’t one you particularly cared for.  You hated roller coasters and anything of the like.  The inevitable lurch and stomach drop were two sensations that were extremely unnerving.  At least while swinging you could control whenever the weightless sensation occurred.
As you crested in mid-air, no webs to tether you to solid ground, you shot another web to the side of a building, pulling yourself closer and closer to your foe.  The rhythmic thwip and release of your webs and the wind whooshing past your ears was unusually calming: it calmed your overactive senses and focused you on your objective.
“Karen, can we get a location on the bad guys?” you asked as you landed somewhat awkwardly on the side of one of the robust brick buildings.
“Targets are in the building directly to the southeast.  They’re heading north toward the building where Captain Rogers is.”
“How many are there?”
“Eight, but there could be more.  I’m not able to scan inside the buildings.  That building’s walls are lead-lined.”
“Okay, umm, guess I’ll just follow them-?”
“Would you like to activate instant kill before you start moving?”
“What is it with you and that goddamn instant kill, Karen?” you gritted.  As you stuck to the wall, postulating what your next move was, you felt something whoosh by you: it was the flyers.  Rhodey and Sam were nosediving directly toward the agents, Redwing following closely behind them.  Tony fell back and drifted over toward you.
“Nice job,” he complimented as his helmet flipped up. “We can take care of it from here, but if you wanna hop down and shoot a web at them just to kick a little extra sand in their face, be my guest.”
“Sounds good,” you responded.
“Great!  I’ll let you know when we’re ready for you.”  He flipped his helmet back down, his hand propulsers firing him toward the fight on the ground.  Steve and his team had joined in, fighting and easily overpowering the A.I.M agents.  You smirked underneath your mask.  As much as you didn’t like being part of the Avengers, it was pretty cool to see them kicking butt.  Clint was shooting off trick arrows that were exploding and dropping nets.  Steve had one of them cornered, using his shield to keep another one at bay while Natasha roundhouse kicked him.  Bucky was shooting in every which way.  It was reminiscent of a Fourth of July celebration.  The colorful fireworks and booming explosions were replaced with the hazy smoke and echoing pops of gunfire.  The sulfuric scent of the powder overpowered your scent even though you were stories in the air.  Yet as the scene wore on, your spidey sense told you something was off.
“Hey Karen, can you scan the area again?”  The eyes of your mask narrowed as you slowly circled your head around the perimeter.  “Wait, hold on, what’s that?” you asked, the hair on the back of your neck standing up as something spooked your senses.
“Three more agents, heading up the southwest corridor.”
“Shit!”  The rest of the team was directing all their attention to the primary group of agents.  There was no way they’d be able to see these other three.  But there were only three.  The odds were in your favor and you could probably deal with them long enough for Tony to fly over and give you a hand.  “Karen, if they get into that building they’re gonna take the samples…shit.”  Time you spent contemplating what to do was time wasted in the grand scheme of stopping anything bad from happening.  Taking a deep breath, you lept from the building, aiming your webs as close to the targeted building as possible: it stuck.  You swung forward with all your might.
Your field of view narrowed and sharpened as the three assailants drew closer to you.  Hoping they didn’t sense your incoming presence behind them, you shot a web at the one furthest from you.  It snared his legs and he hit the ground with a loud yelp.  The other two whipped around, their guns pointed straight at you.
“You know, I’d like to get home in one piece,” you quipped as you trapped the next one to the wall of the building just as you landed on it yourself.  He stuck to the wall just as you landed against it.  The man yelled in protest, so you webbed his mouth shut.  The third assailant sprinted on, firing sporadically at you as he ran past the building.  The bullets pinged off the building, chunks of brick popping off in every which way.  Somehow you could tell where the bullets would land before they did: chalk one up for Spidey sense.
“Nope,” you shouted.  The assailant dodged and weaved as you shot burst after burst at him.  His luck quickly ran out.  You awkwardly trapped him on the yellow bollard set alongside the sidewalk.  The angle of your webs caught him on the butt.  It left him wriggling like a worm.
The sight of three rogue agents caught in your trap unexpectedly filled you with a sense of smug satisfaction.  Maybe you weren’t as helpless as you and everyone else thought.
“Hey Karen, can you let Mr. Stark know about these guys?” you asked.  Just then a wild dust cloud tore towards you: it was Pietro.  The dust settled around him as he stopped, his hair whipping wildly in the remnants of his self-contained cyclone.  His blue shirt, drenched with sweat and dirt, clung to his heaving chest as he caught his breath.
“Did you do…this?” Pietro asked, motioning to the three captives with his finger.
“Yeah,” you yelled, jumping down from the wall.  “Karen’s gonna let Mr. Stark know about them.”
“Nice,” Pietro grinned as he pushed a strand of hair from his face.  “I’ll go back in and double check on everything.  Make sure it’s all safe, you know?”  He turned on the spot and jogged toward the door.  You were a fair distance back from the building watching Pietro head inside when you saw it: the thug you strapped to the wall managed to wiggle his hand to his utility belt, get his hands on a grenade, and, much to your horror, pull the pin as Pietro opened the door to the pressurized building.
