you strolled through the paddock through all motorhomes like a little girl, contained with excitement. a lot of people were there but somehow, not in front of the ferrari motorhome.

SUMMARY: an argument with joel doesn’t end the way that you think it will.

Fat tears spill over the swollen apples of your cheeks faster than you can wipe them away with the already much-too-wet sleeve of your sweatshirt, and the room starts to spin.

Your face is damp with salty—bittersweet—upset, and a splitting migraine is beginning to fester away at the inside of your fucking brain.

“You can’t keep doing this.” Joel stands with both hands on his hips while you’re sat cross-legged on the couch, a cushion sat plump in your lap. “Can’t keep cryin’ whenever we have an argument—“

“But you’ve upset me, Joel!” Almost incoherently, you blabber. “You can’t expect me to be cool with the fact that you were flirting with some—some skank last night!”

He drags his left hand over his face. Joel exerts an exasperated sigh. He doesn’t know how many more hours he can argue with you about this, before he says something that he’s going to regret.

“I know. I was wrong, and I shouldn’t have done it—but why the fuck are you still crying?!” Joel barks. “It’s been hours, baby! Can’t we move past this—“

“No! We can’t!” Scraping your hand across your eyes—all tears immediately drying up—you stand to attention. You smack the pillow onto the couch in complete and utter fucking fury. “It’s been four years of us, Joel. Four fucking years that I thought we were happy—but apparnelty you’re not! Are you bored of me, or something?!”

“No!” Defensively, he exclaims. He’s just as annoyed as you, now. Though he has no place to be. “I don’t know what came over me—“

“Four years. Forty-Eight months I’ve spent being by your side—completely faithful—and you think it’s okay to just fuck around on me?!”

“I’m not fuckin’ around on you!” Mood—and tone—matching, he counters. “I love you. But I was hammered last night—“

I was hammered. I wasn’t thinking straight. I don’t know what came over me.

BULLSHIT. You’ve heard it all before and, frankly, you’re sick of it. The excuses, the lies…Dating a prolific man-whore isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be, actually.

“You need to get your act together.” With a shaking hand, you point at him. Your finger is trembling against his flannel. “If you want this to work, then you’ll stop lying to me—“

“I’m. Not. Fucking. Lying.” Through gritted teeth, he says.

Joel has confessed his wrongdoings, but it’s not enough. To you, he owes you more than just an explanation.

“I don’t believe you.” Devoid of any emotion—any feeling—you state. “You told me that you were going to Tommy’s last night to watch the Cowboys game. But Tommy came here at six o’clock asking for you, and said that they weren’t even fucking set to play! You’re a fucking liar, Joel!”

He backs away with both hands up, completely defeated. You’re tenacious, when you want to be. Sanctimonious. He knows he’ll never win an argument, so he walks away to leave you alone with time to cool off.

But to you—to most people—that’s him giving up.

Joel takes the keys to his truck from the fruit bowl beside the front door, grabs his jacket and unlocks the front door.

He turns to you without even so much as a smile. “Call me when you’re ready to have an adult fucking conversation.”

Joel slams shut the door and you begin to fume all over again. To your left is a picture of the two of you last summer—when you were happy and carefree in Mykonos—and you know that it won’t do anything to help the issue, but you grab it. With a firm hand, you launch it at the door.

Fragments of glass shatter against the door, the floor and fly across the room in every which direction perfectly depicting the current state of your heart after Joel started to break it.

Your eyes are streaming again, hearing his truck peel away from the sidewalk and to god-knows fucking where.

But there’s no use in crying over him anymore. You just need to tolerate it. Tolerate this. Because Joel knows it’ll take more than an “I’m sorry” to really make it up to you.

“Mama… you said you were going to go easy on me!” Naomi pouts, passing the controller to her little brother, Naori. The two agreed to take turns whenever they lost, hoping that eventually they’d be able to play against one another… but with you in the mix, that seemed almost impossible to achieve.

“Oh, did I?” you chuckle softly, gently pinching Naomi’s cheek. “I’m sorry, dumpling. I didn’t mean to. I just got too caught up in the game!”

“…Yeah right, you always say that!” Naomi frowns, standing up soon after, ready to make her exit—but not without getting her goodbye kiss and hug. “I’m going to train.”

“Alright, sweetie. Be careful.” You say, kissing the top of her head before seeing her off. Your daughter was never particularly fond of playing videogames, so it didn’t surprise you she’d leave after a short session.

Naori, on the other hand, was far fonder of these moments compared to sorcery and curses. Oh, the poor boy, he was too frightened by them to even consider joining his sister as her training partner. Thus, he naturally gravitated towards you…

Even if he was growing frustrated that he never seemed to gain the upper hand against you, no matter how much he tried.

“Do you want to play another one, my little teddy bear?”

“No.” he responds, setting the controller aside, lightly pouting. “I don’t want to play anymore.”

“Oh, are you tired, my love? Do you want to eat?”

He shakes his head before looking up to you. Though subtle, you could already see the tears beginning to form in his eyes. Your heart tightens at the sight, reaching close to him to comfort him—

“Why can’t I win against you, mama?”

Because you had years and years of dedication behind you—some of them much to your father’s annoyance—thus, to even have the slightest chance to win… well, he’d have to place a fraction of his motivation into doing so, just as you’ve done in your youth.

But he wasn’t going to achieve any results through you, instead, he’d have to rely on the person who once challenged you, and won, for that.

“Papa, I need your help.”

“Naori! What is it?” Naoya smiles, lifting his gaze from the mountain of paperwork before him and onto the sight of his distraught baby defeatedly walking over to him. He’s always happy to see his kids taking time out of their day to visit him…

But never like this. His overprotectiveness soon kicking in.

“Oh, what’s wrong? Why are you sad?” he asks, reaching for his son and picking him up in his arms.

“I can’t win against mama. No matter how much I play, she always beats me!” he sniffles, leaning into his papa. Naoya sighs, gently patting his back.

“Mama is just a bit passionate about playing, she really likes her videogames, you know? just how Naomi likes Hello Kitty, or you drawing.”

“I like playing too! …But I don’t like losing.”

“Ah, I know that feeling very well.” A bit too much, others would say. “But it sounds like you already made up your mind in what you want to do, cub.”

“Can you help me? I want to win!”

“Would you believe me if I told you I actually beat your mama once a long time ago? So, your papa might know what to do.”

“Really?! You’ll help me papa?!”

“Naturally.”

Though it would be quite an odyssey to get to that point, but they’d manage—arranging just the right schedule so he could learn how to beat you in your own game, but without neglecting his previous routine; he was still a kid that enjoyed doing other things, like going out with his parents to the park, playing with his sister, or drawing.

But eventually the fated day when he would approach you, ready to take you on would come, with such a stern, determined look on his face you just couldn’t help but lightly giggle at. He was just too adorable, with his rosy cheeks and chubby face, could anyone really blame you for reacting like that?

Well, whatever it was that he had in his mind must’ve been quite serious to reach out for you like that, and you were right.

“What’s up, sweetie?”

“I wanna play, mama.” He says, soon grabbing you by the sleeve and beginning to pull you towards the living room, with you curiously following his lead, where a console was already set up, playing your and his favorite game of the moment: Super Smash Bros.

Alongside the unprecedented company of your husband, which made your son’s innocent invitation to play grow slightly suspicious…

But you weren’t one to pass the opportunity of a good time, more so with your baby! So, after taking your rightful place besides him, Naori gives one quick look at his father before jumping straight into the character selection screen, and soon, the match begins.

The first round goes by smoothly, partially—for it appeared Naori had suddenly improved, in his playtime. Undeniably so considering you weren’t able to kick him out of the platform as easily… in fact, he managed to kick you out!

Enough so that the two ended up going straight to sudden death, the definitive moment where a sole winner was to be crowned.

It was a tense moment, even for a casual game, but still did their best, as always!

You expected this moment to go on like it usually did, with undisputable win against your inexperienced son… but then, as you were to do one last attack, the one set to send your son off the screen—your controller is rendered useless by a sudden surge of cursed energy! Followed by an unwanted sense of familiarity that invades your emotions, making you gasp as you tried to get your character to move!

But that was all that Naori needed to land one last strike, getting you out of the map and winning!

Your little boy grins once the match ended, jumping on his feet to giggle and celebrate his first victory against you… with his father.

“I won, papa! I won!” Naori cries, heading over to his dad and tugging at his sleeve, your husband smiles back, picking him up and celebrating with him too. All while you stared at them, dumbfounded by this revelation. “It worked papa, I finally won!!”

“It worked?” You repeated. “So, the two of you plotted against… me?”

Naoya gives you an apologetic smile.

“Ah, I hope you’re not too angry” He chuckles. “Naori really wanted to win against his competitive mama.”

“Oh, I’m furious! Naori, come here!” you laugh, reaching out for your son and pulling him close for an unprecedented tickle attack, where your little boy wouldn’t be able to do anything but laugh and laugh, showing that you were clearly not angry. If anything, you were amused! Happy to see the two interact together, even if it was at your expense.

You’d eventually stop before your tickles became too much for your adorable cub to handle, giving him one last kiss on his soft cheeks before sighing.

“So, you and papa planned how to beat me??”

“Yes mama… I’m sorry! I know I shouldn’t have…” he murmurs, you smile, giving him another kiss and a gentle squeeze.

“That was very sneaky, you’re just like your papa!” Just like in everything else too.

"Papa told me he won against you just like this a long time ago too”

“I should’ve known the moment I saw him standing there…” you laugh.

“…Are you upset, mama?” Naori asks, you coo.

“Of course not, Naori… we had fun, didn’t we?”

He nods, smiling.

“If anything, I should’ve gone easier on you, little bear. I know how much you like playing, so it wasn’t nice of me to not let you win.”

“But I don’t wanna win because you want to! I want to earn it too!” He firmly declares. “I wanna be as good as you…”

Your heart swoons at your little boy’s words. It was clear as day, evident in his voice, in the softness of his tone… He really wants to get good at this!

It kind of takes you back to when you were a little kid, how you longed to have someone to share these moments with. Sure, Satoru was there, and sometimes your brother came along too… but deep down you knew they never truly acted with your same type of enthusiasm, they had other passions to pursue, after all.

But with Naori… it seemed you could finally live out that dream. Share that same enthusiasm you harbored for videogames with your beloved family.

“Alright, sweetie. We’ll play together as much as you’d like!” You promise, but as delightful as that sounded, Naoya felt the necessity to step in due to past experiences.

“But no all-nighters, my love.” He warns, remembering the cranky way you’d wake up the following day after doing so. The last thing he wanted for his baby boy; or for himself for that matter… "He still needs to go to school."

“I know, I know… I promise.” you say, giving Naori one last kiss on his cheek before your stomach suddenly growled. “Let’s get something to eat, this game got me starving! And because you won… how about I make your favorite?”

Naori’s eyes twinkle, licking his lips as he imagines getting a handful of his favorite meal, the same as his dad: miso soup.

“It feels good to win…” Naori whispers to himself, making you and Naoya laugh. “I always want to win!”

“Then let’s do our best to achieve that, hm?” You say, he nods.

And there you have it, both you and Naoya would try to not be that competitive with your kids when it comes to playing, but I believe the two, deep inside, are just happy to live out part of your suppressed childhood with them. Like, Naoya finally has someone to play with and they don’t try to avoid him 😭😭😭 and you have someone to share your passions with too :>

The beginning:

you guys started dating before you two even carried out with ghostface. you knew how jill felt about her cousin sidney, which over time caused her to become depressed as jealousy started to take over.

you explained to her that no matter what would happen, you would stay by her side through it all. it doesn’t matter what she does, you knew you loved her.

eventually, jill had brung up her wanting to take sidney’s place once and for all. you asked her what does she mean and that you needed an elaboration. she then brung up ghostface and how she wants you two to work together in her plan.

it took you some time to agree with her. being that you were paranoid that you two would get caught or even worse; killed. but jill tried her best to reassure you, letting you know that she would guide and protect you through it all.

so you agreed after a day or two, and now the real fun began.

you and jill started planning everything for about a month before starting anything. you asked her where she’d get the costumes, voice changer, knifes, etc from. but she didn’t tell you, so you left it alone.

the first attack was from jill. she had you cover for her when people asked where was she when you were in public. she said she would be back at 5 but it was now 8 and you started to get worried. you thought she had gotten hurt or worse.

she ended up coming back at around 1 am after you started losing your mind. you immediately asked her what happened and if she all right. she then explained that she ended up having to lay low for a while after the attack. and that the next attack she wanted you to do it.

you were so nervous about it, and jill noticed it. “it’s gonna be okay baby. call me if you need anything.” she tried her best to calm your paranoid thoughts.

after your first time out, you became less scared and more confident over time. you also started to feel more crazier then ever. getting rid of people that make jill feel the way she does filled your heart with pleasure.

one time when you both came back after being ghostface together, you were both covered in blood due to it bleeding through the fabric of the costume. jill started kissing down your neck, and let’s just say y’all started fucking.

fast forward some time, it’s now the big day where you reveal yourself. sidney is devastated, being that you formed a ‘bond’ with her.

you guys did end up winning the fight in the end, but you and jill had to create damage to add on to the plan she had. so yes, she asked you to smash her head into a picture on the wall. “cmon baby, i can take it.” you hesitated but after a little glare from her you agreed and did it.

oh but that’s not all.

if you have hair she’ll end up pulling out some of it. if you don’t, she’ll end up smashing your forehead into something. so have fun with that.

The after results:

okay now let’s skip to the aftermath of y’all’s progress.

okay so after jill kills sidney, you and her share a passionate kiss filled with lust i might add.

the making out was cut short due to the police arriving.

everything somehow went smoothly and you got them to think sidney was the murder. after you guys had got medical treatment and left the police station, you guys went back to jill’s.

jill was very happy and even shedded a few happy tears while laying on you. “you did so good baby. i’m proud of you.”, you tell her. one thing led to another and she ended up on top of you…naked.

you guys did end up on the news everywhere and jill fell in love with the attention she was receiving from it. people were even on podcast talking about you guys, it was crazy.

now the real question is, did y’all stop the killings?

no.

if anyone pisses jill off, they’re dead. if anyone flirts with you, they’re dead. overtime, you guys just ended up becoming insane. you wouldn’t trade it for the world tho.

♥️ Ranking Richonne

#27: To Replace The One You Lost (S7E10)

Ok the Richonne content in 7.10 was a feast. I loved every moment Rick and Michonne were on screen together. So honestly, this #27 spot can kinda go to all their moments in the ep, but if I have to single out one…it’s gotta be the cat moment. 😍 It’s a great 'anniversary' gift after going canon in 6.10 and meaningful in so many ways...

(Side note: seeing Jadis again in this 7.10 ep 😒…I very much hope Jadis and Michonne’s katana have a reunion in TOWL. Especially because I've always believed that Jadis saving Rick in 9.05 was just a secondary outcome of Jadis saving Jadis. She needed someone to give the CRM and it worked out for her to give them Rick. Had that helicopter demanded she be alone for the pick-up, Jadis' track record shows she would have acted in self-interest and left Rick behind.

And for Rick, I believe he'd feel that cruelly keeping him from his family for years is worse than leaving him to die by that river - so this one time, plz let Richonne's wrath prevail over their mercy whenever they confront Rick's captor Jadis) 

First, I adore Rick and Michonne's adorable hug after making a deal. I love how they get wrapped up in each other and seeing both their smiles. 🥰 Being in each other's arms is where they’re most meant to be, I’m just saying. 

And then to make the hug even better, Rick kisses Michonne's forehead and it’s just the sweetest. I love how they stay in the embrace as they walk off too. Before they leave the frame, you can visibly see Michonne's relief that her man made it out of this wild day, even if not completely unscathed. And it'll always be a nice touch that Rick is still so thoughtful to embrace Michonne without getting his bloodied hand on her.

And then there’s the cat sculpture. 🤩

I will forever love how despite all the eventful stuff of the day, Rick still had the mindset to notice that cat in the junkyard and recall the rainbow cat from season 3, and want to gift this sculpture to Michonne. 

So Rick and Michonne are standing by the trunk of the car - which reminds me of another scene by a trunk in Clear (that will certainly show up on this Top 30 list 😊) And their Richonne tones are so sweet as they lay out their plan together. Rick is so refreshingly hopeful saying how he doesn’t know where they’ll find guns but "that’s never stopped us before." And Michonne’s smile when he says that is precious. 

And it hit me that while there’s a general sense of how things have never stopped them before, it also could be a specific reference to Clear because back then they were similarly going out to look for guns and then there weren’t any at the station like they hoped but that didn't stop them because they still managed to find a ton when discovering Morgan’s arsenal. While that might be a more subtle Clear reference, the next cat reference is very clear. 

Rosita wants to go already but Rick says hold on and jogs over to the cat sculpture even despite his injury. As I’ve noted before, I’ll forever love this man turning the trash heap into Pottery Barn for his woman. The way Rick's romantic heart continuously courts her is perfection and I love that getting things for her and putting a smile on her face is always a priority. The cute way he walks over too - I know Michonne was appreciating that walk. 😋 

I love the way he hands it to her and how she asks, "why are you…?" in an amused smitten way. And I just noticed that Rick has this little laugh when Michonne asks this. He’s so happy, and it’s sweet how often Rick's happiness is Michonne-related throughout the series. 

It’s already so nice that Rick says he’s giving this to her "because we won." Like what a man to be like I don’t even want to leave this place before celebrating this win with my wife. And again, I have always felt that it’s the "we" moreso than the "won" that really has him on a high because they really defeated that Winslow walker as a team. 

And then because they always top themselves, Rick takes this to maximum heights of perfection when he says, "and to replace the one you lost."

It's just beyond meaningful. I love that he and Michonne are sentimental people and that he reveals that he remembers that rainbow cat from such a foundational time in the building of Richonne. Clear is so special to me so I love that it was referenced and that that time is clearly special to them too. 

Again, think about how much craziness they’ve gone through since Michonne took that 'too damn gorgeous' cat home back then, and yet it's still stored in Rick's memory. I love that this was written to imply Rick still remembers it. The rainbow cat had to do with her so it’s unforgettable.

And also just the line "to replace the one you lost" is powerful because those two lost so much but truly in finding each other Rick and Michonne replenished so much too.

Rick is man of the year every year to me. And I love that he says this knowing he just made his wife's day. It’s his proudest accomplishment of the day. 😊 And Michonne’s sweet little smile as she holds the cat statue is just heart-melting. I absolutely love seeing Michonne be loved on and courted and valued, and Rick is so good at doing that.

They’re both so good at loving each other cuz it’s what they’re made to do. And it’s great she gets this confirmation that she’s been important to Rick for a long time. Rick stays telling on himself, and I'm here for it.

I also love how content Rick is when he says, "let’s go" to the group before they leave the junkyard. Like only after this w with Michonne and most of all putting a smile on her face, that’s when Rick's officially like alright now we’ve done all the things we need to do. 😌

For Rick, this was an apocalyptic date basically. Like first a little wild walker game and then winning a carnival prize for his girl. I adore that it is that man’s mission to give Michonne whatever she likes and just restore anything she’s lost.

This cat moment is one of the sweetest and most couply moments between them, and I will forever be touched by it. All throughout this ep, it was so evident that a husband and wife were up in this place.

Rick and Michonne are so proud and honored to be together, and I appreciate that they expressed gratitude, adoration, and care for each other every chance they got. 😊

“I’m just super grateful for the opportunity to be here honestly,” you pushed your sunglasses up on to the top of your head as you spoke into the microphone that the Red Bull social media team member held. “Being a Red Bull athlete means so much to me and getting invited to a GP is honestly such an honor.”

“And you won a national championship earlier this year as a Red Bull athlete, that must of been an amazing experience.” The young social media women tilted the microphone back towards you as you nodded.

“I mean,” you paused as you saw the team members begin to exit the garage, looking for a certain set of blue eyes that had slid into your DM’s a couple weeks earlier to invite you to the Las Vegas Grand Prix. “It was my third national championship in a row and my first as a Red Bull athlete, plus it’s always nice getting to represent such a large brand as a female athlete.”

With recent changes in the NIL rules you were able to begin raking in sponsorships while still competing in the NCAA, and with your stellar performances in your previous seasons you has somehow managed to gain the attention of Red Bull. Being one of the top women’s lacrosse players in the world wouldn’t get you as far as some other Red Bull athletes, but being able to promote women’s sports under such a large name meant more to you than any fame could.

“We noticed some pretty big names reposting the spotlight Red Bull released on you as their first athlete to join under the new NIL rules,” your eyes followed the moment in the garage as more pit crew members began to pool out, but you still couldn’t find who you were looking for. “Anyone in particular stand out to you?”

You let out a breathy chuckle and hugged your vintage Red Bull bomber jacket tighter around you before letting out a long ‘umm’, “I was happy to see anyone promoting it honestly, it really just is such a big accomplishment amd-”

“Ahh she did tell me thank you,” a familiar voice cut you off as a warm pair of hands met the exposed skin of your waist, maneuvering you over slightly to make room for them to squeeze behind you. “A very nice message actually.” None other than Max Verstappen himself was stood next to you now, you felt your jaw drop slightly but quickly recovered. “I’m sorry to cut this short but I need to steal this one for a second, Red Bull duties call.”

Max offered the young woman interviewing you a curt nod before he wrapped an arm around the top of your shoulders, leading you towards the garage. “That was so very smooth of you,” you looked up slightly to meet Max’s eyes as you followed him past the garage.

“I try,” he offered you a dimpled smile, his eyes sparkling slightly as a small laugh fell past his lips. “So, you actually came.” You watched as a small blush tinged his cheeks as he tucked his hands into the pockets of his jeans, a small nervous bounce on the balls of his feet following.

“I told you I would,” You crossed your arms over your chest and leaned against the wall, looking up at perhaps the most famous Red Bull athlete. “Had to see what the three time world champion was all about.’ You felt a smirk pull at your lips as you offered Max a small wink.

He pulled a hand out of his jeans and nervously scrubbed at his face before taking a deep breath. “So uhh, about that dinner I promised you,” Max trailed off nervously.

“That is what I flew all the way here for, I was promised a win and a date,” you pulled your bottom lip between your teeth and chewed on it nervously. “I think you need a little bit of good luck before the race though to secure a win.” You met Max’s eyes as you watched his blush spread further up the apples of his cheeks and down into his neck.

“Oh?” his lips pulled into a small confused ‘o’ as you took a step closer to him.

“Yeah,” you wrapped an arm around the back of his neck and cradled his cheek with your hand as you pushed up slightly on his tip toes, “every good Red Bull athlete needs a good luck charm.” Your breath fanned over his lips as you moved closer. “And I can be yours for the night,” you finally met his lips and moved yours gently against his before carefully gripping his bottom lip between your teeth. Pulling away slightly you heard him groan as your teeth pulled on his bottom lip.

“And I,” you pecked his lips once more, “am happy to be yours for the night.” As you finally pulled fully away you watched as Max reached a hand up to run it over his lips, a large smile forming on them next. “Text me after the race!” You began to strut away from the shocked driver, pausing to turn over your shoulder and offer him a wink that made the blush spread even further. Operation woo Max Verstappen was on and you weren’t going to lose.

I very very very much don't want that but some theories around here started getting to me.

For example the fact that we don't know Kenjaku's technique and how it works, also in the recent fanbook in Gojo's timeline the airport scene was referred as "a certain place" not afterlife.

Also his end was uncharacteristically 'happy' for jjk. Yes, his body is still used but his soul escaped the exploitation.

I’ll preface by saying that I generally feel that people can believe what they want to, so I don’t typically go out of my way to impose my opinion if I disagree with someone about their views. It’s just about being respectful I guess? I kinda wonder what theories there are out there about his revival, because I don’t engage with the content-makers much at all.

I will say I’m not ignorant to them, and do sometimes come across some posts on twitter & Reddit of that nature. Nobara and Gojo seem to be the most popular for revivalists. I get the impression that these posts dissect phrases / how things are described, or focus on the symbolism of specifics like that of lotuses’ regarding rebirth… but I think it doesn’t change what cannot be changed. Gege has hinted at his stance of them not returning for some time with how the story has been unfolding. Correct me if I’m wrong, and I know satosugu fans also do this for their “ship”, the only difference I perceive is that theorists exclude evidence that refutes their opinions (i.e. cherry picking things that become twisted into conclusions) and therefore it becomes a confirmation bias.

For example, the lotus symbolises many things, including purity due to how the blossoms grow in the murky depths of muddy water. Not necessarily rebirth in isolation. The lotus also carries some meaning in enlightenment. Resolve for growing despite its conditions. So... ince again, it’s not necessarily just rebirth.

In terms of the permanence of death… The have been too many reiterations of the narrator and reactions of characters that describe Gojo’s death for it to not be fact. I know this will disappoint those hoping for a comeback, and I think this question wouldn’t be posed if there wasn’t a sliver of hope that Gojo would “return”. I dunno, I guess I have mixed feelings about this because why just Gojo? Because he was the strongest, therefore he “deserved” to live again? His students need him? But… What about Choso? He didn’t get to be more of a human. And Nobara? Was that all her young life amounted to? What about Yaga? Didn’t panda need his dad? And Nanami? He didn’t get to go to Kuantan or retire with his riches he slaved for as a salaryman. Countless others, really. And let’s not forget Geto. He deserved to have a better life too. Did he not? (I, for one, would love for Gojo to come back on scene if Geto could as well... but... yeah. Alas. 😔)

So I guess I naturally have to ask: If it was so easy for the dead to rise again, why was it not possible for others who have died before Gojo? Also, unlike others, Gojo didn’t seem to reject the possibility of his death, so unlike Sukuna who had an interest in becoming cursed objects to extend his life or Kenjaku who body hopped, of Tengen who erased people... Gojo had no such wish, and felt he would “win either way” whether he lived or died in battle. This was his philosophy that was akin to a Military General. He was, to his core, very objective and accepting. It was both a strength and a weakness - just as Gege described in his character book.

Speaking of being a character… within Jujutsu Kaisen, Gojo Satoru was just one person. Gege spoke about his process behind Yuji as the main protagonist over Megumi and how Gojo’s role as the sensei was sealed after JJK0, whereas Yuta could be omitted. What remains true is that Gojo wasn’t the lead protagonist of the series. It would narratively be a disservice to Yuji, Megumi, and Yuta as members of the new generation.

What remains also true is that he was loved as a character. His legacy had been left. He made a significant dent in combatting the biggest threat to humanity. His role has been fulfilled... as fans we can continue to love him and recognise his impact. I think Gege depicting him in so many flashbacks is an ode to him in many ways. I don’t think it would be done like this if he were “returning”. It just does not make sense.

If we also think about what Gojo wanted as a character, or as an individual - I think he also found his own fulfilment. He didn’t want to return. I’ve come across some interesting perspectives of international fans who opened my eyes to a different perspective too: that Geto was happy to support him “as long as he was satisfied” and wasn’t going to urge him to go back - if going back was even possible in the first place. Because Geto prioritised Gojo as a person and not as the role of sensei or role as the strongest. So if Gojo was satisfied enough, Geto was satisfied that he was there to stay in the afterlife.

Let’s talk about directions too. North, according to Mei Mei, seemed to mean... rebirth. To become someone new. No where does it say that returning back to life was a possibility. Was she even right in the first place? Was the plane actually going to take off? So many questions. Whatever it was… Gojo also said he wished that the airport scene was not a figment of his imagination. The strongest sorcerer. Praying? I mean... why shouldn’t he get his wish? 😪 I think Gege said that the airport scene was like a reward for those who died. There is a better word for it but I can’t remember what it was. Will edit this post when I can remember.

I mean, these are my personal views and I guess people will believe what they wish to believe and hold onto different pieces of what’s shown to justify their beliefs. I suppose I wonder what has begun to sway you if his comeback isn’t something you particularly want? Is it a hope that he can continue something that you feel has been left unfinished? Is it out of love for him?

I know it is disturbing on many ways. However, within the series itself, it was a necessary strategy from the perspective of those not knowing how things would transpire.

Everyone there experienced a desperation to survive - to find any potential way to defeat Sukuna without the umbrella of safety that was Gojo Satoru. And Gojo cooperated - he never bothered with collaborating with to others since he always fought alone. This was character development too. This was for the next generation too. He couldn’t fight all battles for them. Some things, they needed to do themselves. Just as how he and Geto, as teens, were assigned to a mission that nearly got them all killed. This was the screwed up jujutsu world.

Ultimately, Gojo did his best in the battle. He did his best before the battle. Killing the higher ups included.

We may not know what Kenjaku’s CT is, but only Yuta can body-hop now… Gojo’s body, without Yuta in it, will not have a functional brain. Remember: he was also brain damaged from the fight with Sukuna.

It isn’t possible to survive without a brain. We don’t know how they’re keeping Yuta’s body fresh and how fresh the body needs to be in order for Yuta to return to it. These are the strange questions we can only speculate since we also don’t know how Kenjaku managed to enter the body of Geto in the state he was in, and then regenerated his heart and arm. Gojo’s body was stitched up in preparation for Yuta, for example. Yes it is mysterious. But. As it stands, again, only Yuta can hop. Gojo... I’m sorry to say 😪😢 is lifeless.

I think some theorise that it’s about the soul. But honestly, I believe Geto’s body with Kenjaku in it did not have Geto’s soul in it. It’s not a “Megumi’s soul co-existing with Sukuna” situation. Nor was it “Yuji with Sukuna”. Geto’s body was imbued with his CT and his memories, just like a cursed tool would - e.g. Nanami’s weapon. So Kenjaku can pilot it and receive information from it as part of his CT. It’s like a humanoid mecha.

It reacted to Gojo’s voice like a “dragonfly without its head” - it was merely a physical reaction.

Just like how a human body will twitch and move even after the person has expired.

Like the tail of a lizard that twitches even if detached from its head. It is involuntary. A residual instinct.

Kenjaku’s perspective of how the body and soul is one directly contrasts with Mahito’s view. So I don’t think we should pick one interpretation as more correct than the other when they both agreed that it was dependent on Cursed Technique in the end.

So... I guess those are my views. I really like how you phrased it - as his soul escaped exploitation. I suppose I see this as being true, since we saw Gege describe Gojo in this kind of “afterlife” that he doesn’t try to explain. I mean, this is an afterlife specific to Gojo, so who knows where it is?

Gege is funny like that I think. Multiple characters have been shown to hold conflicting views, and even as the story creator, he doesn’t play God who knows all and sees all that is able to describe a definitive afterlife. It’s both poetic and frustrating at the same time imho.

Honestly, I also find it challenging to accept. A part of me wonders if he wanted it to be an actual delusion, but I’m reminded of how he talked about souls and reincarnation - so I know in the verse that souls exist and that what Nanami said about his death was something Gojo couldn’t have just imagined in his dying moments.

I get that sponsors are powerful, I can’t imagine that Disney will roll over and let their one sponsored driver be dropped when he has a special coming out soon and 3 home races still to go, but this will just tarnish any reputation that redbull has managed to build over the last decades, and sour their relationship with the biggest success story to come out of their team

i completely agree it makes NO sense… atp a 10 year old could manage this team better 🤡 but at the same time, i’m actually kind of glad they’re going this route if only because that puts wayyyy less pressure on Daniel. i fully believe he could cook with that rb20, but at the end of the day it’s looking like the mclarens and mercs are just better this year, so there’s no guarantee that rbr could still win the wcc even if they did a driver swap. and you know Daniel would get blamed for it if that was the case, which would almost certainly do much more damage to his career trajectory than if he stays at vcarb and continues to extract max performance from a car that no one is expecting to be winning any championships anyway. i’ll just sit back and watch Checo help RBR run itself into the ground thank you very much 😊

Pearl boy - completed - literally my favourite one as of right now, I love it 😭 Dooshik and Jooha are my babies and they better get a happy ending! Some say the ending was sad because they basically drowned in the icy lake, and others say the ending was a opening ending so take it however you want…I’m taking it as a open ending so then I can pretend they had a happy ending!

Painter of the night - ongoing - I’m enjoying it, even though it’s depressing the hell out of me right now 😅 because Nakyum poor baby is so hurt!

Low tide in twilight - ongoing - I’m reading it purely for the brothers, especially the baby brother 😭 cutie patootie! Taejoo is handsome but he’s an asshole, and I have mixed feelings about him!

I personally think he’s wasting an F1 seat, but I think it’s super sweet that his dad loves him so much he bought an F1 team. I wish my Dad did that! 😂

That said, I’m sure there’s a talented driver in there, but maybe Lance is one of those people who’s happy to coast along if he doesn’t have to put his whole ass into it? 🤔

I mean, you pretty much summed it up when it comes to Lance Stroll. 😅

Of course, there's a certain level of skill that a person needs to have to be able to drive a Formula 1 car at all. In Lance's case, it was certainly easier since he never had to worry about sponsors, affording the next level, losing a ride, or any of the things others did and still do.

If he wasn't quite good enough, Daddy would pay to keep him in the seat. If the car wasn't good enough, Daddy would pay for a better one. If the sponsors didn't turn up, Daddy would foot the bill or pay another more famous/likable driver to attract them (hey Fernando). Lance has never had to work extra hard, he can do the minimum and show up with no worries. He knows he's not going to get fired, and it shows in his demeanor.

Lance, overall, isn't a very likable person. He skips out on fan stuff. He blames everyone else, even his own team, for his mistakes. He's physically assaulted at least one member of his team. Other drivers don't associate with him, and I'm sure there's a reason.

But! He's very lucky that his father loves him so much and supports him in what he wants to do. (Same as he does with Chloe and her singing.) I hope he understands how lucky he is. I wish my parents had been in a position to purchase my hopes and dreams for me.

Lance hasn't shown a bit of improvement or growth over his Formula 1 career, and his only "good" results came at a very strange time that also saw an AlphaTauri win. He's absolutely wasting a seat. No other team would sign him, which is why Daddy had to buy one. He's done nothing of note in his career, and I would argue he's the least deserving person on the grid, even over Logan. Logan at least shows up acting like he cares and has worked week in and week out to improve. (I respect Logan for this.)

My hottest take, which I've said before, is that people don't actually like Lance - why would they? But they like the fantasy of being a billionaire with parents that love them and who would move heaven and earth to make their dreams come true. They're living vicariously through Lance, and they ignore who he is as a person, because if they acknowledged it, they would feel bad about their fantasy.

For day 16 of the event, I used the word ‘yellow’ for some of the Karasuno High team members from Haikyuu!! Another new fandom I’m writing for on here, I hope I managed to keep the headcanons in character for each member and that any fan of the series enjoy 😊

If you could have any view from your bedroom window, what would you choose?

Daichi honestly finds something really inspiring about a busy cityscape – the hustle and bustle of it all, the energy of the crowds, there always being someone out no matter the hour…it’s all kind of intoxicating to him and he’d love a view of such a cityscape, especially at night when everything’s all lit up like miniature stars.

What’s your favourite thing to do on a sunny day?

Sugawara obviously enjoys playing sports, especially volleyball, outside during nice and sunny weather. He’s also kind of partial to kick the can, for playground games. If those things aren’t readily available to him, he does prefer to spend as much time outdoors in whatever way he can, whether it be long walks or even just sitting in a park and drifting off into his thoughts.

What do you consider lucky?

Asahi kept the dog tag from his childhood dog’s collar. At first, it was just to have a memento of his beloved pet after the dog crossed the rainbow bridge. However, it became something more than that over the years. Asahi believes that as long as he still owns and can see that dog tag, even just once every couple days, his beloved friend and dog is watching over him and bringing him happy days and a bright future.

What made you smile today?

Back in high school, it was definitely his teammates and friends who brought smiles to Nishinoya’s face every day. When he leaves school to travel, he smiles a lot, almost all the time because he is enjoying himself, but the smiles feel less intense. Alongside those guys, sometimes he smiled so much it hurt, smiled so much that he couldn’t help but laugh. He enjoys his life travelling, but there’s no smiles like those ones anymore.

What makes you happy?

Well, it’s pretty well shown in canon that being called senpai makes Tanaka really happy! It’s also pretty obvious that volleyball makes him happy. It’s not just teamwork and camaraderie. It’s not just the joy of winning, either, though that of course makes anyone happy. It’s the fun of getting to move, the thrill and adrenaline of competition, the effort of trying his best that all makes the sport very happiness inducing for Tanaka. I also do headcanon him as someone who finds joy from really good food, especially anything homemade. Seriously, anyone making a meal, just for him, is sure to bring about the serotonin for this man.
