lmao sorry to everyone in my inbox, this month has been a mess and I'm just not really around enough for it. someone in my immediate family got a new cancer diagnosis, my not-art job got restructured because management is a joke and it's been.... not great, to be honest! to top it off, my mom's cousin just died because the major hospital didn't have enough beds open for the provincial hospital to transfer him. etc etc etc.
anyway. it's been a lot and I'm Very Tired Of Things Happening 🙃
#tbd later#SHDSSHSH im so behind on emails and emails take precedent over my inbox but i WILL get around to my inbox at some point#its also annoying (in general) that the healthcare system in america is in such shambles that i can't book an appointment#with any doctor in public transit distance because everyone's maxxed out like okay! i cant afford private health insurance so i guess#we'll just figure things out ourselves. I GUESS#AND because of how freelancer taxes work i still havent saved up quite enough for a new laptop and im running out of space on my phone for#books aughghghghghgh (books = art&history related research etc. it's for work. my current set up is very goofy)

U of M sounds like a nightmare rn. I’m an MSU graduate who wants do my PhD in geophysics and I’ve considered U of M bc they do have a good geology department but I think I’m just gonna uhhh Not Go There. I haven’t really heard what’s up with MSU but I know we had an SJP chapter 🥴 So I suspect it’s not quiet. But U of M’s antisemitism makes HEADLINES, stay safe
It's really more of a mixed bag. The antisemitism here is very real and very scary, you'll never catch me denying that. But it's not the whole story.
On October 7th this year, there may have been an SJP protest at Rackham. But the Diag was like a mini Hostages Square all day long, and there were hundreds of people at the memorial in the evening. Hundreds of people saying a prayer for the state of Israel and mourner's kaddish, hundreds of people singing acheinu and hatikvah. A week or so prior, 500 people gathered on the diag in support of Jewish students and our right to be here. And I can't speak to the latter, as I wasn't there, but on the 7th campus security was by us all day to make sure nothing happened.
If I recall correctly, about 15% of the student body here is Jewish. We have a very active Hillel, as well as a Jewish Resource Center and a Chabad. Even when campus is scary, we've got each other and we've got a lot of each other. There is fear, but there's hope too.
#spent awhile figuring out how i wanted to articulate this#cause like. on one hand i don't want to minimize the very real antisemitism here#i know of all the attacks on jewish students and i know that a lot of my peers hate jews so much. i know it real deep#this is my second year in a row where the dorm room directly across the hall has 'from the river to the sea' on their door#(different people)#i lost probably a majority of the friends i made last year to jew hatred#but at the same time my day to day experience of campus is largely positive#i wear a bring them home dogtag every day and only two people have ever commented on it#one of them was also wearing one. the other was a hebrew classmate who told me he's close friends with one of the hostages#i see visibly jewish students around all the time even excluding my hebrew classmates (as that is admittedly a biased sample)#idk how to conclude here i guess i just wanted to get across that it's not all bad#we're here and we'll continue to be here and we're gonna be okay#jumblr

Right! The last idea is that they're connected to Higashi in some way but idk enough about him to say much else#And that's all my ideas!#I like developing at least one Non-romantic relationship with my s/i before the romantic one#Rn the Thief one is most appealing... I'm not immune to thieves (kisses a few thieves + has multiple thief s/is)#plus I think Panchi seeing S.ugiura as a little brother would be cute!#Idk we'll see! hahaha yesss finally got an appointment to get my tinnitus seen to. odds are they're going to take one look and either say they cant do anything, or they're going to recommend a surgery that i'll have no hope of every paying for, but at least im being proactive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#im emotionally preparing myself for the answer to be 'live with it'#i dont like it but. sadly if it's not a comorbidity then they dont know what causes tinnitus or how to get rid of it#in a perfect world it would just be earwax but i feel like even my primary wouldve been able to figure that out. so. we'll see i guess

doing the math and i'm pretty sure chilchuck is getting his bow back next week, and we might finally get to meet the canaries (the elves), if not next week then definitely the week after!
#sorry - the post above is so short compared the the hour long rabbit hole i just went into trying to figure out#if we'd get mithrun's reveal before the end of this season lmao#and i dont think we will!#unless they really rework a bunch of timing!#my guess right now is - ep19 will be the hag/nightmare/ice golem/barometz (getting to know izutsumi etc)#maybe ending with marcille's nightmare or something but#ep20 will be the surface interlude from egg as well as the golden country stuff#21 will be senshi backstory o'clock#22 will be all the mushroom ring fallout from one of my favorite monsters you-know-what#and that ends with them having that heart to heart on the trolley deciding how they're going to save falin again#which is frankly a really good ending for the season! I can see them ending it here if the timing works out#THAT or the flashback conversation Laios has right after the succubus chapters#I can see them fitting the bicorn/horseman/succubus into episode 23/24#the problem there is. mithrun's reveal happens in the two chapters right after laios has his big conversation#and i would LOVE to end on mithrun's reveal but thats really pushing it for 24 episodes#maybe we'll get more than 24 episodes??#but assuming 24...#they might push all the kabru and mithrun scenes to another cour and wrap it up with the big important conversation/vision laios has#wont know until we see what they do!!
