#what the fuck does orochimaru do in the war for them all to be so chill keeping him around

brought back all four dead kage to talk to sasuke which is a massive part of what made him decide to get involved, "encouraged" karin and suigetsu to help out tsunade and i think the other kage too, and also came back from the dead without magic eye powers and effectively became immortal meaning that it's now significantly more trouble than it's worth to kill or imprison him, especially if he uses his knowledge to help out sometimes and maybe also chills a little on the science atrocities

Orochimaru: a clone

Naruto: … I’m sorry, I DONT understand what you mean by…“clone”

#naruto #naruto shippuden #orochimaru #they hate to see a girlboss winning #also quick reminder that most people were scared shitless of orochimaru even BEFORE the fourth war #and he had a grand total of zero won fights to his name at any point in the original series or shippuden #you could argue that he beat anko but i would dispute that bc all he really did was not let her use her suicide jutsu and then leave #even tho the orochimaru she was going to use it on was a shadow clone meaning that she would die with zero negative consequences to him #and given that she was about to be his enemy during the war he was about to start and had a deeply personal grudge against him #i'm not counting that as a win in his favor!#so i guess the ninja world figured that orochimaru's track record of getting bored and leaving would probably help keep him out of trouble
