iiiiiii have acquired a handmade party dress from (estimate) the 1960s, and it is unfinished at the bottom hem (there are still 2 or 3 pins in place to hem it actually, not sure if thats from the seller or the original owners) and i am wondering what the best way would be to go about finishing it 🤔

i do not know a single thing about dress making esp from the 1960s and i'd like to finish it as faithfully to the time as i can !! i will have to look up some stuff about that maybe but if anybody has any advice or thoughts or anything my DMs and inbox (and post replies) are all open and i would appreciate it a lot !!

#pippen needs 2nd breakfast #i am curious why it would be unfinished though dsjkl like... did it never get worn? it looks like its Actually vintage though #from the aging on it. not wear and tear but like... the colours are slightly aged #and perhaps i got duped and it is not actually vintage and the seller put it together but that's a crazy low price for handmade #so i figure it is probably just an unfinished dress from the 60s (ish?) and it just never got finished for some reason #maybe it didnt fit right or the person who was going to wear it didnt need it for the specific party anymore #gosh i would love to know what the story is behind it fsjdkl #its got !! puffed sleeves !! i feel like anne of green gables !!
