I softlocked my copy of Violet within the first 20 minutes of playing, so the game has certainly been an experience. But I'm having fun so far, especially because Rhyme and Grusha, two gym leaders, are really awesome. Also Jaqc is cute.

AHHHH YES I finally finished leaf green like just yesterday!! (I gave up on completing it years ago, but decided to get back to it after well, recent events in my blog LMAO) so my next course was heartgold — I picked up on chikorita and named her Kiki! She already evolved to bayleef so good progress :) typhlosion is suuuuper iconic, it's so cute especially when it's still a cyndaquil huhu 🥺 I'm actually really liking the quality that HG is offering, it might be my favorite installment hehe (and well, my bias towards ethan being my favorite trainer 😭)

#funny story; i remember only knowing the 3rd generation at the time (it was the first pokemon game i played thanks to my classmate)#that same classmate was super fond of cyndaquil and would always yell its name out loud in excitement like — CYNDA... QUUUIIIIIIIIILLLLLLL #and i remember thinking like is this pokemon in my game? its not in my pokedex???
